SABAGASHIRA NO.1

Don Krieg stands tall in his spiked armor and fur-trimmed coat, declaring, “BUT IT’S NOTHING…!” and “WELL, THAT WAS A BIT OF A NUISANCE.” Below, on the deck of a ship near the floating restaurant Baratie, Krieg continues, “WE WERE ORIGINALLY PLANNING ON ABANDONING THIS SHIP ANYWAY, SO WHO CARES IF IT’S DESTROYED.” A crewman looks at the Baratie and says, “LOOK AT THAT GOOFY-LOOKING SHIP…” Krieg’s men stand ready with weapons as the restaurant ship looms in the background.

Don Krieg explains his plan: “HAVING THAT SHIP WILL BE MORE EFFECTIVE THAN HANGING A WHITE FLAG OR PRETENDING TO BE THE MARINES. IF WE HAVE THAT BOAT, WE NEEDN’T FEAR EVEN GRAND LINE ANYMORE.” He grins, “IT’LL LOWER OUR ENEMIES’ GUARDS AND WE’LL BE ABLE TO SNEAK CLOSER TO ENEMY SHIPS THAN EVER BEFORE. IT’LL BE THE PERFECT DISGUISE FOR US.” Close-ups show his intense expression as he adds, “REBUILDING OUR PIRATE FLEET WILL BE A PIECE OF CAKE! THIS ERA IS TEEMING WITH PIRATES ON EVERY OCEAN.” Crew members react in the background while one says, “ON SUCH A STUPID LOOKING SHIP LIKE THAT.” Another replies, “I SEE… NOBODY WOULD EVER SUSPECT THAT THERE’D BE PIRATES LYING IN WAIT.”

Panic erupts as a massive impact strikes. A crewman screams “GYAAAA!” while Don Krieg is sent flying backward. A subordinate cries, “B-BUT DON…! WHEN WE GO BACK TO THE GRAND LINE, WHAT IF WE WERE TO COME ACROSS ANOTHER MONSTER LIKE THAT ‘HAWK-EYES’…” Krieg lands on his feet and roars, “YOU’RE STILL AFRAID OF THAT BASTARD!I” He points his gun and demands, “DO YOU REALLY THINK A NORMAL PERSON CAN JUST CUT DOWN A GIGANTIC GALLEON!I” A crewman stammers “N-NO…” as debris flies. Another pirate yells, “ISN’T IT OBVIOUS THAT HE’S GOT SOME STRANGE POWER FROM A DEVIL FRUIT!I” Krieg shouts back, “WHAT!I WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT, DON!I”

Don Krieg looms in close-up, eyes blazing as he declares, "THE GRAND LINE IS FULL OF 'EM!" Nearby crew members listen while one remarks on Devil Fruit users known only from legends. Krieg continues, "EVEN THAT STRAW HAT-WEARING PUNK THERE WITH HIS WEIRD ABILITY IS JUST ANOTHER RUN OF THE MILL PIRATE IN GRAND LINE! THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT THE HAWK-EYED MAN USED SOME STRANGE POWER WHEN CUTTING OUR SHIP!" He points emphatically, adding that Red-Leg Zeff must have found a way to survive the Grand Line's monsters after spending an entire year sailing there. Gin and other Krieg Pirates stand in the background, absorbing the captain's words.

The Krieg Pirates continue their discussion aboard the damaged ship. One pirate notes, "THERE MIGHT EVEN BE INFORMATION ON ONE PIECE IN HIS LOG AS WELL!" Another adds that Zeff's travel log surely contains the method he used. Don Krieg's crew grows excited: "AND ALL THE TREASURES OF THIS WORLD ARE OURS FOR THE TAKING! ALL WE GOTTA DO IS GET OUR HANDS ON THAT LOG, SO THAT'S HOW IT WAS! AS EXPECTED FROM OUR DON KRIEG!" The crew erupts in cheers. The scene shifts to the Baratie as Krieg Pirates leap onto the restaurant deck, swords drawn. One shouts, "ALRIGHT, YOU BASTARDS! LET'S TAKE OVER THAT RESTAURANT!" while the crew yells "YEAH!!!"

Inside the Baratie, Luffy hangs upside-down from the rafters, shouting "WOAH! THEY'RE ALL FIRED UP TO FIGHT TOO!" Below, the cooks prepare for battle. Sanji asks Zeff, "WHERE'S PATTY AND CARNEI" Zeff replies they are busy with battle preparations and reliable in times like these. Luffy leans in close to Zeff, grinning, "HEY OLD MAN! IT'S A PROMISE, RIGHT!I" Zeff crosses his arms and states, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO ASK ME TWICE. MY RESTAURANT WOULD BECOME A WRECK IF I LET YOU WORK HERE FOR A FULL YEAR ANYWAYS." Sanji and Zeff argue further about shutting the restaurant; Zeff refuses to fight inside and orders the fins opened in the control room. Luffy dashes off, yelling "ON IT RIGHT AWAY!"

Luffy stretches his arm back through the doorway, shouting "GOMU GOMU..." before launching himself forward with "ROCKET!" He flies across the gap toward the Krieg Pirates on the deck. The pirates react in shock as Luffy hurtles at them, one yelling "HAND THAT SHIP TO US, YOU PATHETIC COOKS!" while others cry out "AGHH! HE'S FLYIN' RIGHT TOWARDS US!" and "FOLLOWED BY...!" A small duck-like figure labeled "SCAR" tumbles through the air nearby. Impact lines and motion effects fill the panel as the cooks watch from inside.

A massive scythe-like strike rips through the air as a towering attacker swings downward. "SCYTHE!" the impact sends multiple figures flying in all directions with limbs flailing. Luffy tumbles backward amid the chaos, mouth open in pain. "UGH!!!" Large onomatopoeia "ガリガリガリ!!" explodes across the panel as bodies crash into the deck. In the lower panel the Baratie's bow section surges forward through the waves. Small figures tumble off the sides. "GAH!" "AHH!" "AHH!" A voice yells "GRAB" as one sailor desperately reaches for the railing while the structure barrels ahead.

Sanji stands with a cigarette, murmuring, "So the Grand Line is teeming with guys like him...I" Nearby, a helmeted pirate shouts, "That errand boy ain't bad!" An armored warrior with a spiked shield growls, "Planning on fighting here where you can't even stand properlyI" Luffy sits on the railing and laughs, "Hahaha! I'll send ungrateful crooks like you flying!" The armored man retorts, "Is that right, Hammer BoyI I've heard that devil fruit users are weak against the sea..." Luffy stretches his arms and yells, "I can't swim but in return, I can stretch! TAKE OFF!"

Patty and Carne roar in unison, "IF YOU DON'T WANNA DIE, THEN GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR WAY!" A caption declares, "BARATIE'S NAVAL WEAPON! 'SABAGASHIRA NO.1!'" The massive fish-head prow of the restaurant begins to rotate with loud mechanical SFX "ブンチャーブンチャー♪" and "ガバオーン". Luffy's eyes widen in excitement. "DAMN THAT'S COOL!" The prow fully extends and turns as the cooks pedal furiously inside. "W-WHA... THE... THE RESTAURANT'S HEAD IS MOVING!"

The Baratie's fish-head prow churns through the sea while the cooks pedal inside. "HEY! PEDAL PROPERLY!" "NO YOU PEDAL FASTER!" "I'M ALREADY PEDALLIN'!" One cook yells, "YEAH, I KNOW, DUMBASS! JUST SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU BALD-HEADED FREAK!" "ARGHHH!" The machine accelerates with rapid SFX "バシャバシャバシャ". Onlookers shout, "FASTER! FASTER! FASTER!" "FULL SPEED AHEAD!" Sanji and others watch from the deck as the weaponized restaurant charges forward.

A massive mechanical sea vehicle bursts from the water in a violent explosion. The cockpit canopy shatters as a round-eyed operator stares out in panic. "OH SHI-" A voice cries out. Below, the vessel slams into a ship, triggering a fiery blast. "A GHHHHH!" "FIRE!" "ROGER!" Debris and smoke fill the air as the impact rocks the deck.

Patty shouts, "OPENING THE 'FINS'!!!" as he slams a lever. The Baratie's fins deploy with a loud "DUGON!!" Carne cheers from the deck, "HAHA! NICE ONE, PATTY! CARNE! GO GET'EM!" while watching the chaos. A massive platform rises from the sea amid smoke and cannon fire. Sanji appears on deck, cigarette in mouth, calmly stating, "IF YOU PIRATES WANT A FIGHT, THEN BRING IT." The sea churns violently around the restaurant ship as the structure begins to sink slightly. "ACK! I'M SINKING!" someone yells. "HMI WHAT IS IT THIS TIME...I"

A colossal waterfall of seawater erupts skyward. "WHAT'S THAT!I" "AGHHHHHH!" A platform emerges from the ocean depths. "FROM THE SEA! A PLATFORM APPEARED," a shocked pirate yells. On the Baratie deck, Luffy stares in awe, eyes sparkling. "COOOOL!" he exclaims. Zeff stands nearby with arms crossed, declaring, "ALL THE BETTER FOR US WHEN WE TAKE THE SHIP. NOW I WANT THAT SHIP EVEN MORE!" The cooks' legs are visible on the wooden planks as the structure shakes from the impact.

The Baratie restaurant ship stands tall on the open sea, its sign clearly reading "RESTAURANT BARATIE." Cooks and pirates clash across the deck and surrounding waters. A striped-shirted fighter leaps into action. "JUST WHAT THE HELL CAN A COUPLE OF MEASLY COOKS DO, AGAINST US PIRATES!I" he taunts. The head chef roars back, "ON US COOKS OF THE SEA! DON'T YOU DARE LOOK DOWN," swinging a massive weapon as the battle intensifies around the floating restaurant.

Patty roars from the Baratie deck as the cooks charge forward. "PATTY! NOW'S NOT THE TIME TO BE DISTRACTED! WE'VE GOTTA AIM FOR HIM!" he yells while swinging a massive weapon. "GYAHHAHAHA! C'MON! SHOW'EM THE POWER OF FIGHTIN' COOKS!" The cooks launch a barrage at Don Krieg's massive ship. "ALLOW US TO DEMONSTRATE THE POWER OF BARATIE'S PRIDE!" they shout as cannon fire and kitchen projectiles streak through the air. "PREPARE YOURSELF, KRIEG!" Explosions rock the vessel. "BECOME SOUP FOR THE FISHIES!" Patty laughs wildly amid the chaos, "フハッハッハ! ゴォォォォ!" as the ship takes heavy damage with massive impact effects and debris flying everywhere.

The cooks' attack slams into Krieg's ship, sending it skidding backward. "W-WE'RE NOT MOVING! WHA!I" the pirates panic as the hull grinds across the water with loud scraping sounds. Don Krieg glares with intense eyes, declaring, "THE MAN WHO'LL RULE ALL THE WORLD'S OCEANS! I'M DON KRIEG." Nearby, Luffy reacts with shock, "HUH!I WHA!I WHAT STRENGTH!!!" while gripping his hat. "I AIN'T GOT TIME TO PLAY AROUND WITH THE LIKES OF YOU! HEY, THAT'LL BE ME!" Luffy shouts defiantly. The page ends with the volume note "VOL. 6 'OATH' (END)".

The damaged ship hurtles toward the Baratie. "CRAP! WE'RE GONNA CRASH INTO THE RESTAURANT! AGHHHH!" a pirate screams. Sanji stands calmly on the deck, cigarette in mouth, sighing, "ALL TALK AND NO SUBSTANCE... USELESS BASTARDS." The cooks yell "SANJI!" in alarm. With a powerful kick, Sanji sends the massive spiked mast flying, "HE KICKED IT!I" The impact sends debris and the mast hurtling away from the restaurant as Sanji smirks, "HEH."
