On the south coast of Dressrosa, three days after the battle, waves race across the sea as Marine ships remain docked. A speech bubble declares, "STRAW HAT IS STILL IN THIS COUNTRY!I" Nearby, a voice confirms, "Yes. We've confirmed it. He's quite severely injured, so..." Admiral Fujitora (Issho) stands with a stern expression, hand near his face, while Sengoku the Buddha and Vice-Admiral Tsuru confront him. Tsuru snaps, "Quiet, old man Okaki! Inspectors never have anything to do anyway, quit getting ahead of yourself." Sengoku questions, "Admiral Fujitora... Why aren't you pursuing those piratesI" Fujitora replies calmly, "I heard that prostrate apology of yours! And your spat with Sakazuki!" Sengoku laughs, "Wahaha! Boy, am I sure glad I ain't Fleet Admiral anymore!" A large sound effect "どどん!!" erupts as the confrontation intensifies. Marine HQ signs identify Tsuru as Vice-Admiral, Great Staff Officer and Sengoku as Inspector.

Fujitora continues weighing his decision, holding up dice as he muses, "Or should I let him remain, to this country, a heroI The severely wounded pirate that saved this country... Should I make an enemy out of him..." A close-up shows dice rolling with sound effects "すう" and "Slurp". In another panel he declares, "This is not a game, Issho!" while a voice retorts, "A die!I" Sengoku states, "A man with nothing has twice been saved by this 'thing.' Today is the third day. Let us see what it says. I have not cheated." Tsuru requests, "Please... do the honors for today." Fujitora answers, "O-Tsuru-san... However, this area is still under my jurisdiction; I must ask to you to allow me to use my own methods. I thank you for taking care of the Heavenly Demon's guarded convoy." In the background, a crowd gathers near a table with food as voices shout, "Ah! I'll get that ready right away." "Oi! Me too! I want noodles too!" and "If we get anything besides a one, we move to take Law and Straw Hat's heads at once."

Manshelly of the Tontatta tribe appears with a cheerful expression, pleading, "Everyone from the Marines, help me with the kenpopo!" and later "Please, don't forget about the kenpopo!" A note explains the pun on "donation" and "dandelion." Sengoku reacts with surprise. Manshelly continues, "Have more respect, you big louts! I'm Manshelly of the Tontatta tribe." A dwarf exclaims, "Oh my, how adorable! A dwarf, if I'm not mistaken!" and another adds, "You don't see that everyday!" Manshelly insists, "But I wanted to, in secret, come here and heal everyone's wounds... and... We're not supposed to show ourselves to anyone save the royal family, actually, here on Dressrosa..." A voice reveals, "She is a princess! Lady Manshelly is the honorable daughter of Chief Tonta!" Manshelly wonders, "Hmm... HowI" while the crowd cheers and reacts in the background with confetti and excitement.

In the Central District of Dressrosa, a massive crowd cheers wildly with signs and confetti flying. Banners proclaim, "OUR KING RETURNS!" and "TODAY... ON THIS DAY!" as the people shout "Gatz!" and "わあああああ". Multiple panels show the crowd chanting "KING RIKU!" repeatedly with excited faces and raised fists. A close-up of a bearded man in regal attire declares, "That's right! After a span of 10 years, he has declared that he will return to the throne!" Narration explains, "And though at one time they wanted naught but wealth and power, having come face-to-face with the horrors of death, they now wish with all their hearts for peace! Tricked by a pirate, they hated their king..." The final panel shows the country still amped up with sound effects "わああああ" and "!!" as the celebration continues.

A fierce-faced man with wild hair and a heavy cloak speaks with deep regret. "I wonder whether or not I have it in me to make them happy. Would that I were a godlike king that could sweep aside even storms with a wave of my hand..." In the ruined palace courtyard, a lone figure in a checkered cloak stands before a kneeling woman wearing a crown. Three speech bubbles hover above the scene: "In all honesty, I'm so glad they managed to make it through all of that." "No one could find this funny..." "It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic..." The checkered-cloaked man replies firmly, "That is all I know." The woman answers, "I will continue giving it my best." The fierce man snaps, "I'm joking. Oi, don't get ahead of yourself!" From behind, the crowned woman asks, "Speaking of which... are you really okay with thatI Am I the only one that remembers how strong-willed Scarlet was in her younger daysI" The checkered man whirls around, shouting, "Just what are you implying!I" In close-up, the fierce man declares with determination, "Until the day I give this throne over... to Rebecca."

Inside the palace, a cheerful woman with curly hair and a dark shawl gushes over Rebecca, who sits on a stool in an elegant ruffled dress. "Oh, by the way, I heard about your father! Girls really do look much better in dresses than suits of armor! Oh my! How pretty!" The woman continues, "Apparently Miss Scarlet and the prince of a far, far away country fell in love and eloped." Rebecca murmurs, "HmI" The woman adds, "Left with no other choice, King Riku had to declare that Miss Scarlet had passed on..." Rebecca sits in silence with a distant expression. In a smaller panel a dark-haired woman stares quietly. The scene shifts to a flashback of the checkered-cloaked man and the crowned woman. The fierce man growls, "Because Kyros wishes it. Why must we lie!I"

The long-haired figure continues, "Trapped by a forbidden love... and the child of that love was Rebecca... I see." The striped-shirt man replies, "A place with beautiful lakes... that also happened to be in the middle of a war. A princeI From whereI" The checkered-cloaked man reflects, "To think that they were living on secretly in this country..." Explosions rock the city as the striped-shirt man shouts, "Sadly, it seems the prince died in the war and... left behind Lady Scarlet and Rebec—I mean, Lady Rebecca." A small round creature bounces wildly while crying "CHUU CHUU" and "CH CHUU". The long-haired figure notes, "Ah, I see... so the royal line has been preserved, without taint or blemish!" The striped-shirt man adds, "I suspect that they will be especially effective today, too! Those are quite wonderful." A nurse treats a patient as someone exclaims, "Oh! That is Manshelly-dono's flower medicine!" The striped-shirt man wonders, "What strange rumors..."

Outside a large Marine tent marked with a cross, a crowd gathers as a voice calls, "Thank you! This medicine works wonders! Your wounds heal right before your very eyes! Everyone'll get a turn! Form a line, please!" A small girl with pigtails watches the line. Inside, a man with a bandaged head exclaims, "It really is like magic, isn't it!I Whoa! It healed perfectly!" Another man touches his healed eye and says, "Today, I guess I'll heal this head wound..." A smiling man with curly hair offers, "I'll let you take 10 people's worth from me!" Manshelly beams, "Hehehe, don't make me blush! You think I can do 20!I" An older man pleads, "Please! Take some from me, too!" The curly-haired man explains, "Ah, I see! It works quite like a blood donation! With these flowers, you can share your healing powers with everyone. It really is a wonderful fruit, the Chiyu-Chiyu no Mi..."

In a peaceful countryside landscape near Kyros' house, voices discuss old rumors: "Rumors of that sort were the talk of the town. Rebecca's father was some prince, or something... Well, they were saying..." Inside, chaos erupts as Luffy devours food wildly while a beast-like figure growls beside him. Luffy yells through mouthfuls, "I don't care if you get mad or cry or hurry up or sleep or eat, just choose one!I" The beast retorts, "Be've gotta gho gater banji vand zhe bhoters boo! (We've gotta go after Sanji and the others too!)" and "Blaso babo beft, phim zhad (also, Sabo left! I'm sad...)" Luffy clutches his head in pain: "One at a time, damn it! Looking at you is giving me a migraine!" A rumble shakes the scene. Someone shouts, "You still haven't fully recovered! Quit stuffing your face and stay asleep, for crying out loud!" Luffy snaps awake with a start as a panel shows a fist and the words "Rebecca's dad is Soldie-".

At a crowded table inside, Luffy and others listen as Kyros explains: "The few members of the Donquixote family that investigated them. The only people aware of Rebecca's true parents are a few members of the royal family and... The rest of the country only knows of Rebecca's mother." A tall man in black declares, "I'm the one that started those rumors." Kyros continues, "I'm not cut from the kind of cloth people want to see joining their royal family. And that's why this is best. I have some skeletons in my closet... and I wasn't exactly raised in the most noblest of fashions..." Rebecca asks, "WhyI" Kyros replies, "I preempted the leak of the news of my identity as her father by spreading this rumor." He adds, "A letter detailing my entire life, as honestly as I could write it. I've sent her a letter." Luffy reacts angrily: "You think Rebecca knows any of that!I She's probably feelin' like sh- That's a load of crap!"

Kyros continues explaining his decision: "I can't let a moment's passion preclude a lifetime of happiness for her. I've reasoned with King Riku as well. She may be teased for it at some point, but... Rebecca is still a child." Luffy refuses to accept it, shouting amid flying food, "Luffy definitely is not buying any of it!" The group reacts with shock. Suddenly the scene shifts as Luffy wakes up: "Waah, Luffy-senpai! So you're awake! Good morning!" Leo yells excitedly. Zoro-senpai is mentioned as a figure in checkered pants walks by. A voice calls, "Lord Kyros! Captain! Ah! This is Leo!" A Den Den Mushi rings "Puru puru" as the group gathers.

Elsewhere, Cavendish dramatically poses and declares, "If I ever happen to one day meet the Straw Hat all-stars, I may well go blind! Quit babbling and tell us why you came here in the first place!" A massive reaction panel shows him overwhelmed: "GLOOOAAHH! With 5 members of the Straw Hat crew together in one place, it's too bright for me to even see! A laser beam of epicness!" News arrives: "Vice Admiral Grand Staff Officer Tsuru and... Former Fleet Admiral Sengoku have both arrived! There's some movement in the marine encampment! Things will start getting dangerous here soon!" Reactions follow: "Ah! Well, those marines are on the move!" "Leo! What's the situation over there!I" "Sengoku...." "Why the hell are such big-shots coming all the way out here!I Go back home, damn it!" "O-Tsuru and Sen-goku!I"

A large die tumbles across the floor as narration declares, "DESTINY WILLS." and "AND SO..." A scarred, intense man glares forward and speaks: "THE STRAW HAT CREW, AND TRAFALGAR LAW, AS WELL AS THOSE CRIMINALS BEING HOUSED IN THE ROYAL PALACE... ALL MARINE SQUADS!!!" Below, chaos erupts in the streets of Dressrosa as marines charge a massive ruined structure. An officer shouts, "ADMIRAL! WE HAVEN'T RECEIVED PERMISSION TO ENTER THE PALACE FROM THE KING!" Another yells, "DO NOT WORRY! I SHALL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR EVERYTHING! UNDERSTOOD!" while the crowd roars "CAPTURE THEM ALL!" and "ROGER!" Massive onomatopoeia "ドドドドドド" shakes the scene as soldiers surge ahead.

Multiple voices react in rapid succession. "YES! IN FACT, IT IS MUCH STRANGER THAT IT'S TAKEN THEM THIS LONG TO FINALLY MOUNT THEIR ATTACK!" "WE WERE JUST WAITING FOR LUFFY-DONO TO AWAKEN." "WHY ARE YOU ALL A FLITTERI WE'D BEEN PREPARED TO LEAVE FROM THE BEGINNING!" "GYAAA AAAH! IT'S ALL OVER! THE MARINES ARE COMING!" "ALL WE STILL NEED IS A SHIP." A wide shot shows fighters charging across a battlefield. "YES! EVERYTHING, AS YOU SAID!" someone confirms. Rebecca warns, "CHICKEN-SAN! IT LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE HEADING TO THE PALACE AS WELL! THE WARRIORS ARE IN DANGER!" Law, holding a Den Den Mushi, asks, "LEO! HAVE YOU DONE WHAT I ASKED!I" A voice replies, "WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO WITHOUT A SHIP!I" Below, more fighters declare, "ON THE MARINES' MOVEMENTS! AIN'T NOTHING TO FEAR! WE'RE GOING TO CAPTURE THOSE PIRATES! MAKE WAY!" while others shout "ROGER! THANKS FOR LOOKING OUT, SQUIRT!" and "WHAT!I LUCY, TOO!I"

Inside a room, a hooded figure points and says, "SO THAT YOU COULD WAKE AT YOUR WILL, AND LEAVE THIS COUNTRY WHEN YOU WISHED." Luffy stands among allies as Bartolomeo declares, "LUFFY-SENPAI, EVERYONE! I WILL GUIDE YOU! JUST KEEP RUNNING EAST, STRAIGHT FOR THE HARBOR!" Multiple panels show the escape route: "THERE'S A SHIP IN THE EASTERN HARBOR AS WELL!" "AT POINTS ALONG YOUR ROUTE!" "WAITING ON STANDBY..." "YOUR ALLIES HAVE BEEN, AND STILL ARE..." Rebecca listens intently. Luffy reacts with shock. Outside, marines clash violently. "LIKE WE'D LET THEM TAKE OUR KING NOW!" one yells as impact SFX "ドドドドドド" and "CLUNK" ring out. A warrior growls, "OF COURSE! WE'RE ALL FIGHTERS ON THE SAME TEAM! YOU ARE THE MAN!" Another marine complains, "WE LET THE SUNNY GO WITHOUT US, SO WE'RE IN A BIT OF A BIND!" while others shout "THERE THEY ARE! CAPTURE THEM!"

Law faces Luffy and says, "I'VE LOST MY PLACE TO DIE! WHY DIDN'T YOU KILL ME, TRAFALGAR!" Luffy replies, "ALRIGHT, SOUNDS GOOD! I CAN RUN!" Bellamy, bloodied, asks, "BELLAMY, CAN YOU STANDI" A large man growls at Law, "STRAW-HAT-YA INSISTED THAT YOU WERE HIS FRIEND SO WE BROUGHT YOU HERE. IF YOU REALLY DO WISH FROM A DEATHWISH FROM HERE ON OUT, BE MY GUEST!" Law retorts, "YO, YO. WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS. RUN, COMRADES!" then "WHAT WAS THAT!I" and "IF YOU AIN'T GONNA EVEN SAY THANKS, WE DON'T GOT ANY BUSINESS WITH YOU! DYING IS DYING. SO HURRY UP AND GET ON WITH IT. AND NOW I'VE GOTTA MEET MY MAKER AT THE HANDS OF A BUNCH OF MARINES!I WHY!I THANKS TO THOSE DWARVES, I'VE HEALED LIKE CRAZY..." Outside, the group flees as Fujitora appears. "TRY NOT TO GET SEPARATED! LET'S HOPE WE DON'T RUN ACROSS FUJITORA!" someone yells. "THIS WAY, EVERYONE! FIRE!" Marines open fire amid massive impact effects.

Luffy suddenly turns away with a determined look. "I JUST REMEMBERED; I'VE GOT SOMETHING I NEED TO DO. GO ON AHEAD, I'LL CATCH UP LATER." The others react in shock: "WHAT!I" and "Luffy-senpai!I" as Luffy dashes off into the distance amid rumbling clouds and debris, shouting "わあああああ". Rebecca, still in her fighting outfit, cries out anxiously, "TO THANK LUCY YET! NO! I... I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE..." Nearby observers note, "THEY'RE BEING CHASED... THEY'LL EMBARK SOON..." and "WHATI LUCY AND THE OTHERS HAVE...". In a tense close-up, Admiral Fujitora clenches his fist powerfully and declares, "ALLOW ME THE COURTESY OF FINDING OUT... WITH ALL MY MIGHT!" He then asks with a menacing grin, "NOW THEN... HAS YOUR LUCK RUN DRYI" A caption reads "ADMIRAL FUJITORA FINALLY MAKES HIS MOVE!" as the chapter title "ONE PIECE CH. 796" appears.
