Zoro vs. Pica

A scarred, spiky-haired man glares with intense eyes as memories flood back. Speech bubbles read: 'LADY SCARLET, SHE... SHE WAS FOUND IN THE CITY, SHOT!' and 'WE WERE BEATEN TO THE PUNCH BY A MAN NAMED DIAMANTE...' followed by 'MY APOLOGIES, KING RIKU! OUR DESPERATE SEARCH WAS IN VAIN...' A hooded figure stands in a ruined room. The narration notes 'MEMORIES OF THAT DAY COME TO MIND...'. In the next scene a dark-haired woman with a polka-dot scarf reacts with shock '!!I' as a laughing man in a feathered hat declares 'IF SHE JUST IGNORED HER STOMACH FOR A LITTLE LONGER, SHE'D STILL BE ALIVE TODAY! THE FOOL, HAHA!' and 'SHE WAS STOCKING UP ON FOOD IN THE CITY MARKET!' and 'AH, SO THAT WAS YOUR SISTER!I'. Below, the spiky-haired man pleads with clasped hands 'DO NOT BE SO RASH! WE SOLDIERS WILL REMAIN IN THE PALACE! WE WILL PROTECT YOU!' while a woman in a polka-dot dress struggles, shouting 'PLEASE, LADY VIOLA, YOU MUSTN'T!' and 'LET GO OF ME, TANK!' as an unseen voice cries out with sound effect 'わあああっ'.

A cloaked figure is violently struck mid-air, body twisting as debris flies and a sword spins away. The impact produces large sound effects 'レシャッ!!' and 'ガッ!!'. Close-ups show the figure's shocked face with '!!I' and then 'UGGGH...' as they are slammed against a post. In the lower panels the cloaked figure pants 'HAA-' repeatedly while lying among flowers and debris. A final panel shows a close-up of gritted teeth with the sound 'SNAP'.

In an open field the scarred man pants heavily 'HAA-' with a speech bubble of ellipses. He turns to a blonde woman and says 'I AM IN YOUR DEBT, ROBIN-CHAN.' with sweat drops and ellipses. Nearby, a woman in a cowboy hat smiles beside another woman in a dark outfit. Sound effects 'コソ...' and 'ガサ' accompany rustling leaves as a hooded woman with goggles peeks from foliage, marked by 'RUSTLE RUSTLE' and ellipses. The dark-haired woman in the cowboy hat smiles with a sweat drop while 'PITTER PATTER' sound effects and motion lines show movement through the plants.

A battered figure in a dark cloak staggers forward, blood dripping heavily from wounds as sweat and strain mark their body. "HAA... HAA... FATHER! YOU MUST GET THOSE WOUNDS TREATED!" cries a desperate voice from above. The figure collapses to one knee with a heavy "ROLL" amid rocky terrain and distant explosions. Rebecca stares in shock, eyes wide, whispering "WHA..." A small inset shows a young silhouette beside a gravestone as a voice declares, "BE BY YOUR SIDE! I SHALL ALWAYS..." Rebecca's face fills with tears and resolve in close-up, the sunflower field and lone stone monument stretching behind the cloaked man and the braided woman kneeling together.

From a high vantage overlooking the ruined Flower Hill and colosseum, a voice shouts, "ARE YOU SURE, LADY VIOLA!I DIAMANTE...HAS BEEN DEFEATED!" Viola, sweat on her cheek, confirms, "YES... KYROS NII-SAMA WON! REBECCA'S ALSO UNHARMED! NICO ROBIN PROTECTED HER!" The crowd erupts in disbelief: "COMMANDER KYROS!" "KYROS...!!!" "THE DONQUIXOTE FAMILY THAT WE THOUGHT SO UNBEATABLE..." "IS CRUMBLING, ONE MEMBER AT A TIME!" "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!I KYROS IS THE ORIGINAL, UNDEFEATED, HERO OF THE COLOSSEUM!" "THE FAMILY'S TOP EXECUTIVE!I THE HERO OF THE COLOSSEUM!I REALLY!I"

Viola continues, "BEGINNING WITH SENOR PINK, THE OTHER EXECUTIVES HAVE ALSO... BEEN DEFEATED BY THE WARRIORS SUPPORTING STRAW HAT LUFFY! AND THE CURRENT KING OF DRESSROSA, THE SHICHIBUKAI DOFLAMINGO! TWO TOP EXECUTIVES, PICA AND TREBOL, BELLAMY THE HYENA, THE REMAINING UPPER TIER MEMBERS OF THE DONQUIXOTE FAMILY ARE BUT FOUR!" A battered fighter wonders, "HMI" while another laments, "IN AN EFFORT TO SAVE OURSELVES, HOW FOOLISH! AND TO THINK, WE WERE ACTUALLY GOING TO TAKE THESE PEOPLE'S HEADS... I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'VE DONE THIS MUCH FOR US... JUST FOUR REMAIN!"

King Riku stands tall, declaring, "ALLOW ME TO ACCOMPANY YOU! I CANNOT ALLOW US TO RELY ON THE WORLD GOVERNMENT OR THE MARINES FOREVER! THERE'S PROBABLY SOMETHING I CAN DO THERE TO MAKE MYSELF USEFUL. I'M GOING DOWN TO THE CITY. I DON'T BELIEVE MY LIFE IS IN DANGER ANYMORE..." A companion asks, "KING RIKU! OLD MAN, WHERE'RE YOU GOINGI" Below, townspeople react: "HE WENT DOWN TO THE CITY SOME TIME AGO." "HMI WHERE'D THAT MARINE ADMIRAL RUN OFF TOI" "THEY'RE PROBABLY DIS-TRAUGHT... I DOUBT ONE OF THEM EVER EXPECTED TO ACTUALLY MAKE IT OUT OF THIS GAME!" "WE'VE GOTTA TELL EVERYONE STILL IN THE TOWN THAT THERE'S HOPE AFTER ALL! WE'LL GO TOO!" A sign marks "THE PLATEAU ON WHICH THE ROYAL PALACE IS LOCATED" as Roger shouts, "SOMEWHERE WE CAN PROTECT THEM. GATHER THE TOWNSPEOPLE TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE."

A massive explosion rocks Level 4 Sunflower Fields as the ground erupts violently. Rebecca kneels beside a cloaked figure, crying out in alarm. "FATHER...WHAT'S THIS EARTH-QUAKE..." A sharp "KYAA AAH" rings out as debris flies. Below, Diamante looms over a massive stone form, sneering, "DIAMANTE...HOW PATHETIC OF YOU!" The stone giant's name echoes: "PICA!" Rebecca is hurled through the air with a pained "AAA AH!" as Pica's massive arm swings. She lands hard, spotting the cloaked swordsman and gasping, "RE-BECCA!!" In the final panel she stares upward in shock, realizing, "THAT IS... THE GUY ZORO SHOULD'VE ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF..."

Rebecca pleads desperately with the injured cloaked man. "STOP, FATHER! YOU CAN BARELY MOVE!" The bloodied warrior, Kyros, growls back, "IT'S NOT LIKE I CAME HERE JUST FOR A ONE-ON-ONE! AS LONG AS ENEMIES REMAIN, THE BATTLE'S NOT OVER! GEHUGHH..." He continues, "TO ME, HE IS MY STEPFATHER! A MAN THAT HAS STOOD BY ME SINCE MY DAYS AS A GOOD-FOR-NOTHING VILLAIN! MY SAVIOR!" Rebecca counters, "REBECCA. YOU ENDURED YEARS OF BOOS AND INSULTS THANKS TO THAT MAN. DON'T GIVE ME THAT NONSENSE! YOU LOT WERE THE ONES THAT DESTROYED HIS REPUTATION IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Kyros asks, "ALLOW ME TO ASK YOU SOMETHING. JUST WHAT EXACTLY IS KING RIKU TO ALL OF YOUI" A distant voice wonders, "THAT WAS QUITE THE EARFUL!" Kyros stands firm before the ruined plateau, declaring the Riku Royal Family's true understanding of peace.

Rebecca, wearing a helmet, shouts in surprise as the ground erupts. "WHAT THE HELL, MAN!I SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME! NOW HE'S HEADED TO LEVEL 3!" A massive stone spike erupts with "!!I" and "EH!I HE DISAP-PEARED!" On the next level, a scarred fighter with wild hair roars, "I CAN'T END THIS IF ALL YOU'RE GONNA DO IS HIDE INSIDE THE PLATEAU! DO YOU EVEN WANNA FIGHT!I" Pica's colossal stone form smashes upward with a thunderous "GYAAH!" and "DAMN IT!" The fighter declares, "THE NEXT TIME YOU GET IN MY RANGE, SO HELP ME I'M GONNA SMACK YOU SO HARD UPSIDE YOUR-" Pica's fist crashes down as the scarred man lands on Level 2, vowing, "I'M THAT BASTARD'S OPPONENT!"

Pica's enormous stone body rampages through the fields, sending soldiers flying. A bleeding fighter yells, "THAT SON OF A-! THOSE PEOPLE ARE INJURED!" Pica's fist smashes down amid screams of "GYAH!" and desperate cries, "LORD PICA! PLEASE, STOP!" The giant stone hand crushes structures as onlookers shout, "LOOK OUT!!" A cloaked figure lands amid the debris. Someone gasps, "WHA!I...!!" Baby 5 stares in shock as a voice accuses, "SO YOU'VE BETRAYED US, BABY 5..."

Pica's massive stone body twists violently as he unleashes a crushing attack. "CHARLESTONE!" he roars while spinning his colossal form. "STONE MILL!" The grinding stone mill pulverizes everything in its path, sending debris flying. A smaller figure is hurled through the air with a pained "GUOH!" and "KYAH!" as the mill grinds on. Below, a woman with long dark hair stares upward in shock, shouting "UWAA AAH!" as the destruction rains down. In the lower panels, a fierce warrior with a scar glares upward and yells, "YOU'RE A REAL TOUGH GUY, DICKWARD! GOING AFTER THE WOUNDED AND WEAKENED!" Pica's stone limbs continue to thrash, with impact sounds "NGHH..." and "UUUGH..." echoing as the battle rages on.

Zoro stands ready with his swords drawn. "ITT OU RYU— BITE STONE!" he declares, slashing at the stone giant's massive face. Pica's enormous mouth opens wide in a roar as stone cracks. A voice from within the rock asks, "DO YOU KNOWI HEY, RORONOA ZORO..." Suddenly Zoro leaps high, his blade flashing. "ONE-SWORD STYLE DEVIL HORSE!" he shouts as a massive horse-shaped slash erupts, shattering the stone structure with explosive force. Debris and impact lines fill the air as the devastating strike lands, sending chunks of rock flying in every direction.

Pica's stone giant looms over the battlefield. "CURRENTLY ON THE OLD, ROYAL PLATEAUI" a voice questions. Zoro's eyes narrow as he realizes, "THE FORMER KING. THE KING OF THIS COUNTRY!" Pica's massive form crashes down with "DON!" and "GISHAN!!" sounds. From the ground, a voice taunts, "DON'T THEY JUST PISS YOU OFFI I MEAN, THE KING OF THIS COUNTRY IS DOPY." Another speaker adds, "THE SAMURAI AND GOD USOPP ARE WITH HIM AS WELL... HE'S SURROUNDED BY ALL THE IMPORTANT PEOPLE OF HIS OLD KINGDOM... AND YOU'RE TELLING ME THIS WHY!I" Zoro stands firm, replying with a simple "SILENCE..." as the plateau cracks beneath him. The narration notes the people's hope to reclaim the throne for King Riku.

Pica's colossal stone hand slams down with "CRACK" and "WHOOMP," shaking the city. "THIS COUNTRY BELONGS TO THE DONQUIXOTE!" he declares from above. Civilians flee in panic, shouting "RUN! RUN!" and "MOVE OUT!" as the ground splits. A soldier yells, "WAIT A GODDAMN SECOND... DON'T TELL ME HE'S AFTER THE KING!I" Zoro grits his teeth mid-air, thinking, "SHIT... I FELL FOR IT HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER! IS THAT WHY HE RAN ALL THE WAY OUT HEREI" He swings his sword with full force, declaring, "THIS IS BAD... JUST ONE OF THAT BASTARD'S PUNCHES... IS ENOUGH TO BLOW THE PLATEAU TO SMITHEREENS!"

The massive stone giant Pica looms over the battlefield as the Straw Hats and allies scramble for a way to stop him. "No... he's too far. It won't have enough power to finish him off." "Plan A: fire off a slash." "What can I do...!I" "Usopp and the king will both be crushed instantly!" A voice warns, "Don't tell me... he's coming this wayI" Pica's name is shouted as the giant advances. "Plan C: scream out as loud as I can to warn the others of the danger..." "No... there's no way I'll make it! Plus, if I fall, that'll be the end of me..." "Plan B: try to jump up to where they are." Explosions rock the ground with "BANG" and "BOOM" as the group debates frantically. "Only problem there is that I don't have a Den Den Mushi." "And tell them to get the hell out of there!" "Plan D: contact them on the Den Den Mushi..." "Crap, there's no way they'd hear me at this distance."

Pica's colossal stone body towers above the ruins, spikes erupting as he prepares to crush everything. Screams echo: "AAA AAA AH!" "SAVE US!" A masked fighter declares, "Plan 'E' it is..." while wondering, "Does this man have something up his sleeveI" With a fierce glare, the swordsman resolves, "Leap into the sky and cut this fucker in half!" The giant stone form begins to topple with massive sound effects as the desperate battle reaches its climax.
