Doflamingo Appears

Bubbles rise through the gas-filled air above a ruined, snowy landscape. Voices exclaim: "HE'S REALLY WAY SMARTER THAN CAESAR!", "THIS PROTECTIVE GEAR WAS DEVELOPED BY VEGAPUNK", "THE GAS HAS NO EFFECT!I", and "BUT CAESAR KNEW THAT. THAT'S WHY...". In the next scene, gas-masked figures with G-5 markings shout "HEY, HURRY UP!!", "SO THAT'S WHY HIS MEN GOT PETRIFIED", "HE TOLD THEM TO STRIP IT OFF IN ORDER TO RUN AWAY AT FULL SPEED", and "THAT'S WHY HE SAID THE GEAR WOULDN'T PROVIDE PROTECTION". Below, a character cries "AH... BUT" while another warns: "BECAUSE OF THAT, THEY'VE ONLY GOT ANOTHER HALF DAY OR SO BEFORE THEY ABSORB THE POISON AND DIE...!! WE'VE GOT TO FIND THEM AND BREAK THOSE SHELLS!!" and "OUR HARDENED FRIENDS ARE ALL STILL PARALYZED, IN A STATE OF SUSPENDED ANIMATION. THEY'RE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET".

A bearded man in a striped shirt declares: "NOW I CAN SAVE MY MEN...!! BUT I'LL DEFINITELY COME BACK HERE SO YOU CAN ARREST ME!!", "I WON'T FORGET YOUR NAME...!!", and "WHATEVER. THIS THE ONLY EXIT... HURRY UP AND GO NOW." A grinning face replies: "UOH HO, THANKS FOR THIS. TO THINK YOU'D GIVE US PERMISSION TO HEAD BACK INTO THE ISLAND...!!". Nearby, a scarred man with a head bandage asks: "WHAT DO WE DO NOW... ALL WE HAVE TO TAKE IN ARE THESE." On the snowy ground a massive chained, furry creature lands with a loud "どどーん!" and "THUD" sounds. Marines react: "WELL... THIS IS KIND OF CREEPY...", "ARE THESE GUYS PIRATESI", and a small voice says "WIGGLE WIGGLE".

A Marine shouts "EHI WHAT ARE YOU..." as a flying head hurtles past with impact lines. Another Marine yells "HUH!I I SEE A HEAD, INCOMING!!" while a third reacts "AH!! HMMI". The head strikes with a loud crash and "オオオオオ!!" sound. Below, panicked voices cry "AH!!", "!I", and "THEY CAME FLYING DOWN!!". A figure labeled "DOF" appears amid the chaos. A Marine exclaims "Y... YOU'RE RIGHT, THEY'RE HEADS!!" as more heads rain down.

A tremendous force rips across the battlefield with a massive "ビュオォォ..." and "WHOOSH", hurling Marines and debris through the air as one figure shouts "EH!I". Close-up reactions erupt: a wide-eyed Marine yells "DA-!!", another gasps "THAT'S...!!", and distant explosions flash. In the center, a towering figure with a feathered coat and sunglasses materializes amid swirling smoke and impact lines marked by a huge "ドン". A shocked voice cries out "DOFLAMINGO!II" as the Marines stare in disbelief at the sudden arrival.

Panic spreads as voices shout "WHY IS HE HERE", "WHY...", and "!I". Marines are blasted backward with "ピシッ" and "ドン" impacts, one Marine in a cap gritting his teeth with "UHH...". A massive "ドドドドン!!" explosion erupts, sending bodies, weapons, and smoke flying in all directions. Figures tumble helplessly across the ground amid debris and swirling clouds, the sheer force scattering everyone.

Doflamingo stands tall in the center, coat flaring, as a Marine yells "THAT WAS CONQUEROR'S HAKI!!!" and another laughs "FUFFU FUFFU FUFFU!". Voices demand "WHY'S A SHICHIBUKAI ATTACKING MARINES!!!", "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!!!", and "NO SHIP EITHER...". Doflamingo replies "THEY'RE ALL GONE, HUH..." while noting "BUT I'M SURE THERE WERE PIRATES HERE... JUST A LITTLE WHILE AGO." A distant panel shows a ship on the sea with the line "NOW WHERE HAVE THEY GONE...". Smoker appears in close-up, shouting "SMOKER...!!" as another Marine warns "LOOK OUT, YOU GUYS!!" and "HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO OUR COMRADES!!!" with a "ドンキチン" sound.

Law's hand reaches out with the line "LAW ASIDE" while declaring "STRAWHAT IS JUST A COMMON PIRATE!!". Chaos erupts as Marines are hurled through the air with "ズバァァン" and "GYAH HHHHHH HHHHH!!!", one Marine's sleeve reading "MARINE" visible. Doflamingo moves swiftly amid flying debris and impact effects "ズババババ". A voice shouts "NOW WHERE HAVE THEY RUN OFF TO!!" as figures tumble and clash. In the final panels, Doflamingo lunges forward with a large "ズバ" effect while a Marine stares in shock.

A cloaked figure stands on a rocky shore as a voice answers, "JOKER....WELL, I DON'T REALLY KNOW. I'M PLANNING ON HEADING TO GREEN BIT NOW, BUT..." A massive close-up of a snarling face with jagged teeth demands, "WHAT DIRECTION DID THOSE BRATS HEAD IN!!I" Nearby, G-5 marines panic. One shouts, "SMO-YA..." Another replies, "BUT YOU... IT SEEMS LIKE YOU KNOW A BIT TOO MUCH!!!" A third marine growls, "...SO THEY'RE GONE THEN!I THEY SLIPPED RIGHT THROUGH OUR FINGERS... I'LL HAVE A LOT TO ANSWER FOR TO BASE COMMANDER VERGO..." Suddenly a huge impact erupts with the massive SFX "ビシジュッ!!!" as smoke and debris fly. Someone yells, "VICE ADMIRAL SMO!!"

The ship races through massive, churning waves. A crew member shouts, "KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR REEFS!!" Another screams, "HYAH HHHHH HHHH!!" as the vessel tilts wildly with "SWIIISH". On deck, Brook yells, "NO, BROOK. IT'S NOT A LAMB. IT'S 'MINI MERRY #2'." Someone replies, "NEVER HEARD OF THEM!!" Nami notes, "IT'S A 'SEASLOPE.' THERE ARE PLENTY OF THEM." Franky adds, "THE SHIP'S GOING REAL FAST!!" Chopper wonders, "IT'S LIKE WE'RE GOING DOWN A SLOPE!! WHAT'S WITH THESE WATERS!I" A map panel shows the laboratory and entrance on Punk Hazard. Robin explains the escape route while Brook laughs, "YOHO HOHO".

Luffy yells in shock, "D... DRESSROSA!I" The crew discusses their destination. Someone recalls, "TORA-MAN-KUN SAID THAT WE'LL ARRIVE THERE... SOMEWHERE CALLED 'DRESSROSA'." Nami asks, "NAMI!!! WHERE WAS IT AGAINI WHERE'RE WE GOING NOWI" Luffy questions, "WHO WERE YOU TALKING TO BEFORE!I" Usopp answers, "YEAH, PROBABLY TORA-MAN!" Luffy realizes, "DOFLA-MINGO." The crew reacts with excitement. Luffy cheers, "OH YEAH, TELL US THE PLAN!! EVERYBODY, GATHER ROUND!!" Law states, "THE PLAN IS ALREADY IN MOTION." Usopp exclaims, "DOFLAMINGO!I THE GUY KNOWN AS THE WORST OF THE SHICHIBUKAI!!"

The crew reacts to the alliance. Someone mutters, "A YONKOU, HUH! SOUNDS GOOD." Another voice warns, "NOTHING GOOD ABOUT IT!!" The ship sails past rocky islands. Luffy grins, "OUR CREW AND TORA-MAN'S!! SO LET'S ALL BE FRIENDS!! SHISHISHI!!" Usopp cheers, "YUP! WE'RE IN ALLIANCE NOW!" Sanji snaps, "LUFFY! DID YOU REALLY JUST GO AHEAD AND ALLY YOURSELF WITH SOME MYSTERIOUS GUYSI HOLD ON NOW!! EVERYONE JUST CALM DOWN" Law warns, "AND LUFFY'S VERSION ARE PROBABLY A BIT DIFFERENT. SO BE CAREFUL. I'M WARNING YOU NOW. YOUR IDEA OF AN 'ALLIANCE'" Kin'emon questions, "WHAT'S THE POINT OF OPPOSINGI" Someone notes, "ONE MEMBER IS OPPOSED TO THIS MOTION!!" Luffy insists, "LUFFY'S ALREADY DECIDED, RIGHTI"

Law stands over the group with a stern expression. "...SHURORORO. DON'T THINK YOU ALL ARE GOING TO GET AWAY WITH WHAT YOU'VE DONE...!!" he warns. He continues, "EVEN I MIGHT HAVE TAKEN ISSUE... BECAUSE IF YOU WERE TO TELL ME TO COOK UP THIS WEIRD SHEEP THAT YOU'VE CAUGHT" and concludes, "SO THAT'S WHY LUFFY WAS GOING ON AND ON ABOUT 'KIDNAPPING'... YOU'LL HAVE SOME REAL BIG PLAYERS AFTER YOU NOW, YOU FOOLS!!" Sanji works on repairs nearby as Luffy reacts with shock. A massive close-up reveals a furious face shouting, "AND YOU WILL DIE!! YOU WILL COME TO UNDERSTAND HOW STUPID YOU'VE BEEN...!!" Law explains further, "AND I DESTROYED THE EQUIPMENT USED TO PRODUCE THE CHEMICAL KNOWN AS S.A.D. ON PUNK HAZARD, I ASKED YOU TO KIDNAP CAESAR. WHEN YOU'RE DONE, HUH. YOU CAN HAVE AT HIM WHEN I'M DONE!!"

Law continues his explanation with a serious tone. "THE CURRENT SCALE OF THIS SETUP IS UNPRECEDENTED!! THEY REIGN OVER LIKE A GIANT CRIME SYNDICATE. INTO SPHERES OF INFLUENCE, WHERE THEY COMMAND COUNTLESS UNDERLINGS. THE BIG PIRATE CREWS IN THE NEW WORLD HAVE DIVIDED MOST OF THE SEA. IF JUST A SINGLE PIRATE CREW WERE TO RISE UP TO CHALLENGE THEM, YOU WOULDN'T EVEN GET AN AUDIENCE WITH A CAPTAIN...!!" The crew listens intently. Law adds, "THE MOST TRUSTED AND POWERFUL DEALER IS DOFLAMINGO. THEY CONDUCT THEIR NECESSARY DEALINGS IN SHADOW...!! WITHOUT ATTRACTING TOO MUCH ATTENTION FROM THE MARINES BUT IT REALLY DOES FUNCTION LIKE THE UNDERWORLD." He reveals, "MOREOVER, JOKER'S BIGGEST CLIENT IS CURRENTLY THE YONKOU, 'KAIDOU OF THE HUNDRED BEASTS.' IN THE SHADOWS, HE GOES BY 'JOKER.'"

The crew reacts in shock as Momonosuke transforms. "PLEASE GO ON! IT'S NOTHING, THAT'S RIGHT, THAT'S NOT...!! NO...!!! WHAT'S WRONGI" voices cry out. Momonosuke screams, "NNAAHH!!" Kin'emon panics, "AHHH! THAT'S RIGHT, THAT IS WHAA!I" Luffy shouts, "THAT'S HIM WH... WHERE'S MOMONOSUKE!I WAHAA!! WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS, THIS DRAGON!!" Law notes, "...I SEE SO HE CAME TO BE LIKE THAT!!" A wide shot shows the Thousand Sunny sailing as narration explains, "KAIDOU HAS RECENTLY PUT IN FOR A LARGE PURCHASE OF FRUITS FROM JOKER THE ARTIFICIAL ZOAN TYPE DEVIL FRUITS KNOWN AS 'SMILE' WHAT WE'RE AFTER IS NONE OTHER THAN THE HEAD OF THE EMPEROR, KAIDOU...!! THE KEY TO DOING THIS IS TO REDUCE THE STRENGTH OF HIS FORCES!!"

Law presses on, "AT PRESENT, KAIDOU HAS OVER 500 ABILITY USERS ON HIS CREW. BUT IT SEEMS THAT THERE'S A RISK IN USING THESE ARTIFICIAL ONES IF THEY'RE MADE ARTIFICIALLY... THERE'D BE NO LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF ABILITY USERS HE COULD HAVE!! YES, THAT'S CORRECT." The crew erupts in protest. "BUT THAT NUMBER WON'T BE INCREASING ANYMORE. BE QUIET. ME ME ME ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF QUITTING!!" Luffy raises his hand in confusion. In the background, someone yells, "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO MADE THE SOURCE OF THOSE DEVIL FRUITS, S.A.D.I AMAZING! HE'S THE CULPRIT HERE! DON'T PRAISE HIM!! THIS GUY!I EH SHU... SHURORO..." with sound effects "ばー ん! BLUSH" as reactions fly.

On a rocky cliff overlooking the sea, the group discusses their next move after dealing with Joker. A voice declares, "JOKER IS DONE FOR. NOW WE JUST HAVE TO MOVE ONTO OUR NEXT STEP." Another angrily retorts, "SHUT UP! LET'S SEE YOU IDIOTS TRY MAKING IT!!" while a small figure adds, "THAT VEGAPUNK IS REALLY AMAZING..." and explains, "IT WAS SIMPLY A PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE 'LINEAGE FACTORS' THAT VEGAPUNK DISCOVERED." Someone else shouts, "MORONS THAT YOU ARE!!" Kin'emon stands with his sword, confirming, "INDEED I DO!" when asked if he wants to go to the same place. The crew agrees they should destroy the target, noting their enemy is a business mastermind, so they must stay careful. They reveal the location: "SOMEWHERE IN DRESSROSA IS THE FACTORY WHERE THEY PRODUCE 'SMILE'S." In a dramatic close-up, Trafalgar Law glares intensely and declares, "IS CAPTURED THERE!! A COMRADE OF MINE...!!"

The fight erupts in chaos as Law pins a bloodied opponent to the ground amid smoke and debris. Law states, "BUT I'M GONNA NEED YOU TO GET OFF OF HIM." The pinned man replies weakly, "ARARA... SORRY ABOUT THIS, BRO." From the side, a desperate voice pleads, "PLEASE STOP!! SMO-YAN IS GONNA DIE!! WITHOUT HIM..." while others shout, "THERE'D BE NO ONE TO UNIFY AND LEAD A BUNCH OF DUMB THUGS LIKE US!!" and "THERE'S NO WAY OF TELLING HOW MUCH EACH OF YOU KNOW..." The attacker growls, "DON'T WORRY. I'LL BE KILLING YOU ALL AS WELL!!" A close-up shows Law's intense glare as he demands, "...OFF OF MY FRIEND, THERE." The pinned man coughs violently with "HAA HAA" sounds. In shock, someone yells, "EH... EHHHHH!!I" as Law vows, "I'LL FIND THEM BEFORE THIS DAY IS THROUGH!!! AND THEN LAW, AND STRAWHAT TOO!!" A note at the bottom reads, "ONE PIECE WILL BE ON BREAK NEXT WEEK. IT WILL RETURN IN ISSUE 13. STAY TUNED!"
