The Perfected Weapon of Mass Destruction

Luffy's face fills the top panel, laughing wildly with sweat drops as he shouts "HAA" and "HAA". The scene shifts to a vast laboratory interior where a massive creature labeled Smiley begins to transform after consuming something. A voice cries out "HE ATE IT!!!". Below, the creature expands grotesquely with bubbles and slime, accompanied by heavy SFX "ズズズズズズ" and "GOBOH". A sign on the wall shows a tentacled creature. A small panel reads "...HAS EATEN THE FOOD!!!" while another voice calls "SMILEY..." and a sound effect "JIIIIII" appears near a mechanical device.

Bound figures lie on the floor as a voice commands "COME, SMILEY!! IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO BE REBORN!!" and another calls "SHUURO RORO...!!". Several characters react with shock: a scarred man, a woman with long hair, a stern man with stitches, a woman with goggles, and a man in a spotted hat. The massive slime creature Smiley continues its violent transformation with explosive SFX "ズズズズ" and "RROOOA OOHH!!". Luffy stares in disbelief and exclaims "WHAT A HUGE FROG!!". A woman with light hair watches calmly as the creature emits "RGH AAAAA HHH!!".

The massive black slime creature Smiley erupts violently across the top of the page with the sound "RGH AAAAA HHH!!" and "AAAG HHH!!". Below, soldiers and figures flee in panic amid clouds and debris, shouting "MASTEEER!!!", "RUN FOR IT!! JUST KEEP RUNNING!!!", "DAMN IT...!! WHY DID THE SLEDGE HAVE TO BREAK!! AT A TIME LIKE THIS...!!!", and "IT'S COMING!! SOMETHING'S STARTING TO HAPPEN!!!". A woman with light hair notes "IT'S ACTING STRANGE SINCE IT ATE THAT CANDY...!!!" and "PERHAPS IT WAS VERY DELICIOUS...I". A man with a pompadour agrees "AGREED. WHATEVER IS HAPPENING, IT CANNOT BE GOOD!!" while another warns they must flee as soldiers run in terror. SFX include "WHEEZE WHEEZE", "HAA HAA", "HAA HAH", "HAH", and "DODODO".

A massive, dripping black mass erupts from the snow with a thunderous roar, GGGHH OOOOO HHHHH and RRRRR RRRGG GGG..., while tiny figures flee in panic,!!I. The creature's body pulses and bubbles violently. In the next sequence, a wooden barrel marked with BIRIBIRI is struck amid swirling energy, ボルトッ, sending it tumbling. Apples spill out across the snow as the barrel rolls and bounces, ガッ ボゴッ, with repeated impact sounds ズズ... ズズ... ズズ... The fruit tumbles freely from the broken container.

A dark, writhing form lies half-buried in the snow, ナナナ.... Close-ups reveal the apples now covered in swirling patterns. Caesar Clown leans in with a wide, manic grin, declaring "YOUR TASK IS DONE. FAREWELL, SMILEY....!!!" The massive creature rises again, its voice booming: "WEAPON OF SLAUGHTER, SHINOKUNI......!!! CHANGE THE FACE OF THIS ISLAND FOREVER!!! NOW, COME FORTH....!!!" accompanied by heavy sound effects ズル.... and ナナナ....

A colossal explosion erupts across the landscape, ゴワァァァン!!!, sending shockwaves and debris flying. Onlookers react in horror: "WHAT THE...I!!" One figure stares in shock as "SMILEY... TURNED TO SMOKEI!" Another cries "NO..." while a third shouts "IT'S GAS!!!" The massive cloud of gas expands violently, ゴワァァァン!!!, with distant figures visible in the background.

Panic spreads as several figures flee desperately. A spiky-haired man yells "HURRY UP!!!" while another shouts "NO! WAIT...!" A man with a weapon cries "HELLLL LPPP... MEEE..." and "AAGHH! THE GAS IS ALREADY -" as he runs. Another reacts with "HUHI!" and "!!I" A white, smoke-like figure reaches forward in terror, its body partially transformed by the spreading gas.

Panic erupts as purple gas floods the area. Voices scream "DON'T LET THE GAS REACH YOU!!!" and "RUN FOR IT!!" while others cry "AAA HHH!!" A wild-haired man with bulging eyes howls "AAAAAA AAAAAGHHH HHHHH!!!" In the next panels a masked figure with a fierce grin shouts "MASTE EEER!!" and "SHURORORO RORORO...!!" as people flee past industrial structures. A close-up shows the scientist's intense eye and dripping saliva as he laughs "SHURORORO RORORO!!! LET ME SEE MORE! MORE OF THIS VISION OF HELL!!!" Narration explains: "PEOPLE WERE ABLE TO ESCAPE FROM THE POISON BECAUSE THEY COULD STILL MOVE....! ALL I HAD TO DO WAS FREEZE THEM IN PLACE! THIS NEW GAS CLINGS TO THE BODY LIKE ASH, AND PENETRATES THE SKIN, INSTANTLY PARALYSING THE WHOLE BODY!!!" The scientist declares "NOBODY CAN ESCAPE IT NOW....!! SHURO RORO!! THIS IS PERFECT!!!" and "I'VE DONE IT!!! IT IS A SUCCESS!!" as victims collapse in the background.

Screams continue: "AAAAH GHHH HH!!" and "AAAA GHHH HH!!" as figures collapse near a fence. A dark-haired woman stares in shock and shouts "WHAT IN BLAZES...I!" Luffy's eyes widen in horror as he gasps "FREEZING UP..." and "PEOPLE ARE..." More victims writhe and cry "AAAAR GHHHHH HHHHH..." A cloaked figure with a skull mark stands with arms crossed while a top-hatted silhouette yells "MASTEEER!" and "HEEELP!!" A sign reads "ALL AROUND THE NEW WORLD." In the final panels pale, ash-covered bodies writhe on the ground with sound effects "ゴゴゴ..." as the gas takes hold.

Outside Caesar's research facility, a swordsman growls "HUHI!" while another voice asks "YOU PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO TURN AROUND, THEN...." Discussion continues: "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT PURPLE SMOKE...I!" "WHAT COUNTRY ARE THESE VISUALS COMING FROMI!" "ALL THOSE PEOPLE DYING... THEY LOOKED KIND OF LIKE CAESAR'S FREAKISH SUBORDINATES..." "HEY...! WHAT IS THIS TERRIBLE TRANSMISSIONI!!" A massive explosion erupts with "EEHHI!" and impact lines as someone yells "DON'T TELL ME ALL OF THAT WAS HAPPENING HERE ON THIS ISLANDI!" The swordsman shouts "OH, CRAP!! WE'VE GOTTA RUN, OR WE'LL END UP FROZEN DEAD LIKE STATUES LIKE ALL THOSE PEOPLE!!!" Below, a Marine officer with a headband roars "OPEN UP, DAMN YOU, CAESAR!!!" and "IT'S NO USE!! I BET THAT POISON GAS IS GOING TO COVER THE WHOLE ISLAND!! THIS FACILITY WILL BE THE ONLY SAFE PLACE LEFT!!" while another Marine cries "THAT'S WHY THEY SEALED IT SO TIGHTI!!"

A massive explosion hurls people through the air with the huge sound effect "ドドド" and the desperate cry "RUN FOR IIIIIIIIT!!!!!" Luffy, a woman, and others tumble amid smoke and debris while characters shout "ああああああああ" and "HAA". In the lower panels a woman asks "IS THAT A LIZARD CREATURE UP AHEADI!" as Luffy yells "THERE'S SOME KIND OF CREATURE UP AHEAD!" and "IF ANYONE GETS LEFT BEHIND, I AIN'T GOING BACK FOR THEM!!!" Another voice urges "RUN LIKE THE WIND!! NO, FASTER!!" More screams of "HAA" and "ああああああああ" echo as the group flees the spreading gas and collapsing structures.

A massive dragon-like beast made of swirling gas bursts from the smoke, roaring as it flies. Voices cry out in shock: "IT'S A DRAGON!!!", "THAT'S NO LIZARD!!", and "A DRAGONI!!" Marines stare in awe and fear. One suggests, "IF WE CAPTURE THAT THING, DO YOU THINK WE CAN FLY OUT OF HERE...I!" Another replies, "A DRAGON.....!!!" while others argue, "BUT THAT ONE'S QUITE A BIT SMALLER THAN THE ONE WE SAW...", "NO, IT'S TRUE... THERE ARE DRAGONS ON THIS ISLAND...!!!", and "DON'T BE RIDICULOUS!!!" The creature lets out a loud roar. Below, Luffy watches in panic, shouting, "THEY'RE BEING CHASED BY THE SMOKE!!" and "...AHH!!! HEY, LOOK!! THAT'S ZORO AND THE OTHERS!!"

Luffy, Robin, and Kin'emon watch the chaos outside. Luffy exclaims, "YOU'RE RIGHT! DO YOU THINK HE'LL LEND ME HIS LEGS THEN...I" Robin notes, "OH, LOOK... THE SAMURAI SEEMS TO BE BACK IN ONE PIECE." Kin'emon wonders, "WHAT ARE THEY DOING IN A PLACE LIKE THAT...I!" and "AND WHOA... JUST LOOK AT THEM RUN...!" Screams echo from the window: "AAAAR GHHH!!!" and "AAAA HHHHH HHH!!!" Luffy asks if the running figures are his friends. The gas creature attacks, and Luffy yells in alarm. A sinister close-up shows a grinning man declaring, "IN THE END, THIS WHOLE ISLAND WILL BE A 'LAND OF DEATH' WHERE NOTHING CAN SURVIVE!!!" He continues, "NOBODY OUTSIDE THIS FACILITY WILL LIVE TO SEE ANOTHER DAY!!!" and taunts that the survivors will eventually succumb to the gas.

An explosion rocks the facility as a metal cage is blasted open. A voice warns, "AND THAT INCLUDES ALL OF YOU...!!!" The villain continues, "...AND A ROYAL SHICHIBUKAI WILL BE UTTERLY HELPLESS!!" and "YOU WILL PROVE THIS TO THE WORLD!!" while declaring, "...A MARINE VICE-ADMIRAL..." and "IN THE FACE OF MY SLAUGHTER WEAPON, SHINOKUNI......EVEN A 400,000,000 BOUNTY PIRATE..." Luffy stares in shock. Nearby, Chopper panics, "AHH!" and "SOMETHING TERRIBLE IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO LUFFY AND THE OTHERS...!! WHAT SHOULD I DOI!" while another figure cries out in fear.

Chopper examines a scrap of paper, asking "WHO'S THIS FROMI" and reacting with "HUHI" and "PAPERI!" while warning "DON'T DO A THING." Outside, massive explosions tear through the facility. Tashigi is hurled through the air as someone shouts "TASHIGI-CHAN!!!" and "SMOKE-YAN!!!" Debris flies everywhere. Inside a damaged elevator cage, trapped people scream in terror: "DAMMIT ALL... WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!", "YOU GUYS...!!!", and "THEY'RE ALL STILL CAPTIVES!! IT'S NO GOOD!!"

Tashigi stands tense beside a scarred, shirtless man as he asks, "WHY DON'T YOU FILL THEM IN ON VERGO, TASHIGI...I" In the next panel, panicked G-5 Marines in gas masks flail amid bubbles and debris, shouting "CAPTAIN-CHAN!! VICE-ADMIRAL!!", "I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!", and "WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO US ALLI!" Below, a wide view shows the ruined facility with a hanging crate and smoke; a voice notes, "WELL, IT LOOKS LIKE WE'RE IN TROUBLE!!" while another remarks, "...VERGO'S APPEARANCE WAS AN UNEXPECTED TURN OF EVENTS, BUT NEVERTHELESS... MISTER STRAW HAT..." A horned figure adds, "STILL, THIS IS ONE WELL-DESIGNED FACILITY..." and "IT SEEMS FIT TO CARRY QUITE LARGE MATERIALS." Someone yells, "WH... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT AT A TIME LIKE THISI!" In the large bottom panel, a close-up of Trafalgar Law's face fills the frame as he declares, "...IT'S TIME TO STRIKE BACK." He continues, "WE CAN'T LET OURSELVES STUMBLE AT A LITTLE SETBACK...!!" and "THE PLAN IS STILL THE SAME... AND DON'T SCREW UP THIS TIME...!!" with a sharp "!I" reaction beside him.
