Cool Fight

Luffy stares in shock, eyes wide and mouth open, shouting HUHI!! BROWN CROCI!! A smaller panel shows a distant snowy battlefield with explosions. In the next scene, a man in a striped shirt and hat stands on a ledge while a cloaked figure gestures nearby; speech bubbles read: BUT FIRST, THEY ELIMINATED BROWNBEARD ON THEIR MASTER'S ORDERS!!! EVEN THOUGH HE WAS ON THEIR SIDE!! NO, IT LOOKS LIKE THEY WERE AFTER THE KIDS!! THAT AND OUR LIVES...!!!! DIDN'T THOSE GUYS JUST NOW COME TO SAVE HIMI!! Luffy reacts with surprise as another voice says: LUFFY! THIS "MASTER" MUST BE A PRETTY SCREWED-UP GUY, RIGHTI A bearded man declares: OUR MASTER IS A BENEVOLENT GOD AND SAVIOUR....!! EVEN THOUGH BROWNBEARD LOOKED UP TO HIS MASTER SO MUCH!!

Luffy stands with Nami and a group of children, replying YEAH. Nami shouts: WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY MIGHT DO TO HER!! I'M NEVER GOING TO LET THESE KIDS GO BACK TO THAT MONSTER!!! I'M REALLY WORRIED ABOUT NAMI-FRANKY WHO GOT ABDUCTED BY THEM, TOO!! Chopper yells: CHOPPER!! I CAN'T FIGHT IN THIS FORM!! LEND ME THOSE BEAN THINGS OF YOURS! Franky in monster form roars: HOLD IT, LUFFY!! I'M GOING WITH YOU!! IT'S MY BODY THAT GOT ABDUCTED!!! YOU GUYS TAKE CARE OF THE KIDS!! I'LL GET THEM BACK NO MATTER WHAT!!! A small creature warns: YOU KNOW, THE ONES THAT LET YOU TRANSFORM!! AFTER THE THREE MINUTES ARE UP, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO TURN INTO A MONSTER AND STUFF!! Franky grabs Luffy, saying: NOW LISTEN CAREFULLY, OKAYI YOU CAN ONLY TURN INTO A MONSTER FOR THREE MINUTES! AFTER THE THREE MINUTES ARE UP, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO FIGHT FOR A LITTLE WHILE, SO IF YOU CAN, TRY TO STICK TO MY KUNG-FU POINT AS LONG AS - ALL RIGHT, JUST HAND IT OVER. BEANSI!! MY RUMBLE BALLS ARE A POWERFUL MEDICINE!! I'LL GIVE YOU JUST ONE OF THEM......BUT I DOUBT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO CONTROL IT!

Franky in a massive monster form looms over the snowy battlefield, roaring GGGGGGG RRRRRRUU DOOOOHH HHHH!!! as Luffy yells YOU ATE IT ALREADYI!!! The monster swings wildly with impact effects. A small figure cries: I KNEW IT... HE'S COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL!! GRRRU OOOHHH HHH!!!! GUAHHH HHHHH!!! WHY IS HE TRYING TO ATTACK MEI! Franky charges forward while Luffy shouts: ALL RIGHT, LET'S MOVE, FRANKY!! THIS WAY!! RRRRH HHHH....

In the snowy facility, several figures stand amid debris as voices discuss the situation. "I can't really see him being much help..." one says. Another notes, "He won't be able to move after he turns back to normal, so... He'll just be in the way." A woman with dark hair and a patterned outfit glances over, asking, "So, uh, what's Franky actually planning to doI" Below, a close-up shows a wanted poster for "Cyborg" Franky as someone explains, "Once you've sliced up his body and retrieved the laser system, I have no further use for him... But this 'cyborg' Franky seems to have one of Vegapunk's lasers embedded in his body...!!!" A voice replies, "I don't know where he got his hands on it..." The panel labels "Caesar's Research Lab." In another area, a character struggles, shouting, "Let me go!! I said let go, idiot!!" while others plan, "In the mountains behind the facility... For now, all you need to do is make sure all of our troops on the island are evacuated. If they don't want to die, that is..." A grinning figure reacts with "HUHI!" as another states, "I've already got a solution to that problem in the works. One more thing... about the attacking marines..."

A massive furry creature bursts forward with a girl perched on its head, both yelling in alarm. The girl shouts, "You perverts!! What are you planning to do with me, huhI!" while the creature demands, "What are you peopleI!" Nearby voices comment, "But you'd better be prepared for the consequences! Luffy won't let you get away with this!! He'll make you wish you were never born!!!" and "He's clearly an okama. How cool..." "What is this man talking about...I" A self-aware voice adds, "I mean, I know I'm super-cute and ultra-stylish and anyone in their right mind would want to kidnap me..." In the snowy landscape, two rifle-wielding figures stand as one declares, "...is pretty cool." Another notes, "But it looks like the weapon attached to your body......aren't cool at all." The figures respond, "I'll ask you to be quiet. People who prattle on endlessly..." and "So cool!!" as a sign reads "SO COOL!!" with a "CLICK CLICK" sound effect.

Two massive, snow-covered figures identified as the Yeti Cool Brothers stand in the blizzard. One labeled "Scotch" yells, "Put some clothes on!!!" while the other labeled "Rock" complains, "My body's feeling too cool!!! Still, it's pretty damn cold out here... BRRRR...!!!" A central label reads "YETI COOL BROTHERS -SNOW MOUNTAIN KILLERS- Rock & Scotch." They discuss their targets: "You think your crewmates will come for youI But of course." "Nobody can resist following a trail of footprints in the snow... That's what we're counting on; we've made sure of it." "What are rifles to us may as well be cannons to you. We have poison-gas shells as well!! The likes of you won't even be able to find us, let alone defeat us...!!!"

Explosions rock the snowy terrain as a small striped figure runs, leaving obvious footprints. Voices note, "They're big and obvious, too!" "That's helpful! A trail of footprints!" A loud "BANG" and impact sounds erupt as the figure screams "AHHHH!" and another yells, "HUHI The footprints end here-" followed by "HEY, FRANKY, STOP THAT!!" A massive blast labeled "BOOM!!" sends figures flying. One shouts, "OK, ROCK!!" while another cries, "AAAAAA GHHHHH!!!" and "GGGGGRU UOOOOOHH HHHHH!!" A voice calls, "HERE THEY COME!! LET'S DO THIS, SCOTCH!!" as the riflemen react, "They must be pretty thickheaded not to even notice the cliff!" and "And Chopper... no, that's Franky!! LUFFYI!!"

Luffy hangs from a chain in a spiked chamber, shouting a warning: "BE CAREFUL!! THERE ARE ENEMIES HERE!!" A voice cries "NAMI!!" while Usopp's face fills a panel with wide-eyed shock, replying "HUHI" Below, an enemy taunts a falling figure: "TOO EASY! MEET YOUR DOOM......ON THIS BED OF ICICLES!!" The victim plummets toward a sea of spikes, screaming "HUHI! WHOAHHHH!! IT'S A SEA OF SPIKES DOWN BELOW!!!" Luffy stretches his arms and yells "GOMU GOMU NO!!!" as he activates "ARMAMENT REINFORCEMENT!" Impact lines and debris fill the icy cavern.

Luffy unleashes a massive barrage, roaring "GATLING!!!" with explosive impact SFX "ビシギャギャギャギャギャ!!!" and "CRASH!!!" An enemy observes through a scope: "I SEE... SO THIS WON'T BE QUITE THAT SIMPLE..." Another voice mutters "HMLP PHH..." while a third recognizes the attackers: "YOU'RE THOSE GUYS FROM BEFORE, RIGHTI" A balloon inflates dramatically with the cry "FUUSEN!!" amid flying debris and shockwaves.

Luffy reflects while aiming: "IT'S BETTER TO SEND ALL THOSE BULLETS SPEEDING BACK IN A POWERFUL COUNTERATTACK!!" and notes "USING THIS TECHNIQUE AS A "SIMPLE DEFENCE" THAT DOES NOTHING BUT BOUNCE BULLETS IN RANDOM DIRECTIONS ISN'T VERY EFFICIENT. THAT'S WHAT RAYLEIGH TAUGHT ME!" He fires with "GOMU GOMU NO..." and "OREI FIRE!!" A massive counter-blast erupts with "OREI" and "レーザー" effects, accompanied by "ROCK!!" and an enemy's pained "GUO HHHH HH!!!" as bullets ricochet wildly.

On the frozen mountain, an enemy growls "UGH... YOU JUST WAIT... THIS MOUNTAIN OF ICE IS A TREASURE TROVE OF WEAPONRY!" A massive furry beast roars "GRUOO HHHH!!!" while demanding "WHY IS HE GIVING YOU THE MOST TROUBLE OF ALLI!!!" Franky is ordered "I SAID STOP THAT, FRANKY!!!" A horned girl warns "WATCH OUT!! THE SUMMIT OF THE ICE-MOUNTAIN...!!!!" Elsewhere, a striped figure pants "HAA HAA" and yells "STOP THAT!!" with "SHINK!!" SFX. Observers mutter "NGHHH... ARE THEY...FIGHTING AMONGST THEMSELVES...I! THEY'RE TAKING US LIGHTLY, THE BASTARDS..."

A massive clawed beast erupts from the snow and ice, lunging at Luffy and Franky from above while smaller creatures swarm from the sides. A voice shouts, "THEY'RE ATTACKING FROM YOUR SIDES AS WELL!! LOOK OUT!!!" Another warns, "LUFFY!! FRANKY!! WATCH OUT ABOVE YOU!!!" The creature's claws slash downward with a "SWISH..." as Luffy looks up in surprise. In the next panels the beast snarls "HMI" and "BUOH" while Franky counters with a heavy strike. A cannon-like weapon fires with "ガキッ!!" as the attacker taunts, "NOT AFTER I HIT YOU WITH MY KYP GAS SHELLS THAT INDUCE INSTANT DRUNKENNESS...!!" and "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO DODGE THAT GLACIER!!" The final balloon declares, "NOW MEET YOUR ENDS LIKE YOUR THREE CREWMATES DID BEFORE YOU!!!"

Franky delivers a crushing blow that sends the beast reeling with a massive impact "ドゴォォン" and "RRRR GGGUUU OOOOHH HHH!!!!" The monster howls "GUEHH HHHHH HHH!!!!" while Franky roars "GOMU GOMU NO....!!" Luffy cheers from below, "NICE GOING!! NOT BAD AT ALL, FRANKY!!" as the creature groans "GRRR RUUUU OOOOHH HHH!!!!" A small striped figure reacts with "HMI" amid falling debris marked "CLATTER KABLAM!" and "AAAH GHAH..." The beast snarls back, "AGHH!! SERIOUSLY, YOU NEED TO QUIT DOING THAT!!!" while Franky presses the attack.

Luffy stretches his arm into a massive fist and slams it down, shouting "ELEPHANT GUN!!!!" The beast reels from the strike, roaring "GRUO OOOOHH HH!!!!" and "THE STRONGEST ATTACK YOU'VE USED ALL DAYI!!" Below, Nami cries out "NOOO OOOO!! LUFFY!!" while Franky and Chopper lie injured. Luffy grits his teeth, thinking "UGH... THIS MOUNTAIN REGION'S SO HUGE... IF I LOSE THEM NOW, IT'LL BE A REAL PAIN FINDING THEM!" He calls, "SORRY, FRANKY AND CHOPPER! I'LL GET CHOPPER TO FIX YOU UP LATER!!" as Nami's voice answers, "OH, NO... NAMI!!!"

The fight spills across the snowy mountain as the beast taunts, "THESE MOUNTAINS ARE LIKE OUR PERSONAL GARDEN. YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY CATCH US HERE!!" Luffy is sent flying with a huge impact "ドゴォン" while a swordsman in a kimono stands ready. A voice yells "WHOAA!! HE WENT STRAIGHT UP!!" and "THAT'S...!!" Another shouts, "THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PLAYING ATI!!" as the creature counters with "COUNTER SHOCK" and "BAH!!" Kin'emon watches from the snow while Luffy's hat flies off. A final panel shows a figure in a spotted hat reacting with "SSCHH" as the battle rages on.

A massive impact sends a figure flying backward amid debris and smoke, the victim grunting "URGH H..." with limbs flailing. Below, Luffy stares in surprise as Nami appears in the background. Law's voice cuts in sharply: "OH, DID YOU HELP OUT NAMII!!" He immediately follows with "...WAIT, FORGET THAT!! YOU - GIVE ME MY BODY BACK!!" A small figure thanks him with "TH... THANK YOU..." while another shouts "TRA-DUDE!!" Luffy, now in a striped outfit and looking puzzled with a question mark overhead, listens as Law continues: "I DON'T DOUBT IT WAS PURE CHANCE THAT BROUGHT YOU HERE..." In the next panel Law stands tall with sword in hand, declaring "I'VE BEEN DOING A LITTLE THINKING... I CAME HERE TO DISCUSS SOMETHING WITH YOU, STRAW HAT...!!!"

Law stands holding his sword, explaining the harsh reality of the New World: "IF YOU WANT TO SURVIVE IN THE NEW WORLD, THERE ARE ONLY TWO WAYS TO GO ABOUT IT. EITHER YOU SWEAR ALLEGIANCE TO ONE OF THE YONKOU... OR YOU DO BATTLE WITH THEM. BUT THERE'S AN IMPORTANT KEY HIDDEN SOMEWHERE ON THIS ISLAND. SOMETHING WITH THE POWER TO TURN THE NEW WORLD UPSIDE DOWN." Luffy reacts with wide eyes: "...AN ALLIANCEI" He leans forward excitedly, "THEN FORM AN ALLIANCE WITH US! IF YOU AND I WORK TOGETHER, WE MAY JUST BE ABLE TO PULL THIS OFF... THAT'S RIGHT! I WANT TO BE CAPTAIN! YOU DON'T SEEM LIKE THE KIND OF GUY WHO WOULD SUBORDINATE HIMSELF TO ANOTHER PIRATE." The page culminates in a dramatic close-up of Law's intense face as he declares "...TO TAKE DOWN ONE OF THE YONKOU!!! I HAVE A PLAN..." with the chapter ending note visible.
