THE STIFLED SPEAR

A close-up shows a wild grin with sharp teeth and messy black hair. The next panel erupts into a massive explosion of smoke, debris, and shattered armor fragments. A small figure is hurled through the air amid the blast while a heavily armored warrior in a spiked helmet and fur collar looks upward in alarm, mouth open.

The explosion continues across the water as armored figures are blasted aside. A checkered-hatted pirate stares in open-mouthed terror. In the next panel a suited man with slicked-back hair and a striped-hatted figure both gape as the word “DON!” erupts beside them. Below, several pirates in striped hats and chef-like uniforms react with shock and raised fists.

A close-up of the armored warrior’s face declares “IT’S TOO EARLY FOR CELEBRATIONS YET!” In the following panel Luffy is tangled in a massive net or web, one hand gripping the strands as he is struck. Voices shout “AHH! HE’S STILL ALIVE!” and “YOU LITTLE BRAT!” Luffy’s face fills the final panel, eyes wide and teeth gritted as he cries “AGH!” while motion lines and impact effects surround him.

High above the sea, Don Krieg looms in his spiked armor, laughing wildly as he hurls a massive iron net. "KUHAHAHA! YOU CAN'T ESCAPE FROM MY IRON NET!" he roars. Below, Luffy plummets toward the waves while Krieg taunts, "ALL I HAVE TO DO IS DRAG YOU DOWN UNDER AND YOU'LL DROWN TO YOUR DEATH!" Krieg's face fills the panel as he declares, "THAT'S THE DON WE ALL KNOW! THE ONE WHO LAUGHS AT THE END IS ALWAYS ME!" and "DIE, RUBBER BOY!" Luffy, tangled in the net, refuses to yield. "VICTORY'S STILL MINE!" he shouts with a grin, stretching his limbs. "AS LONG AS I CAN STILL STRETCH MY ARMS AND LEGS," he continues, kicking free with a determined "!!" as the net strains around him.

Luffy's stretched limbs create massive swirling air currents as he fights on. "HE'S STILL TRYING TO FIGHT!I BUT THE OCEAN SHOULD BE HIS WEAK POINT!" Krieg's crew yells in shock. "THAT BASTARD...!" another pirate cries. Sanji watches from the Baratie deck, stunned. "HE DOESN'T HESITATE AT ALL...! NOT EVEN FOR AN INSTANT...! HOW CAN HE...!I" he mutters. Krieg's face twists in disbelief. "HOW CAN HE KEEP ON FIGHTING EVEN NOW," a pirate asks. "DESPITE MY STRENGTH! WHAT'S WITH THIS GUY!I DESPITE MY COUNTLESS WEAPONS...!" Krieg shouts, sweat pouring down as Luffy continues his assault far below.

On the deck of his massive ship, Don Krieg glares down. "HOW CAN HE KEEP ON CHARGING STRAIGHT AHEAD WITHOUT THE SLIGHTEST HESITATION!I" he growls. "IS THAT WHAT YOU WERE WONDERINGI" Krieg asks his men. "GIVE ME SOME SUPPORT, YOU BAS-TARDS!" he orders. "I'M THE GREAT PIRATE FLEET ADMIRAL DON KRIEG," he boasts. His crew scrambles to the cannons. "Y-YES, DON!" they reply as the guns fire with a thunderous "シャキン シャキン". Below, Luffy remains trapped in the iron net. "THIS TIME, IT'LL REALLY BE THE END!" Krieg declares as the cannonball streaks toward the struggling pirate.

A cannonball rips through the air toward Luffy. "SHOOT HIM ALL AT ONCE!" Krieg commands. Sanji appears in a blur, his leg raised high. "QUIT IT," he snaps, "OR I'LL KILL THE LOT OF YOU." His powerful kick sends the cannon flying with a massive impact. Krieg's crew stares in horror as the blast is deflected. "ACK!" Sanji grunts from the recoil. The pirates recoil in terror, screaming "AGHHHH!" as the deflected shot and swirling winds from Luffy's earlier stretch tear across the deck, sending debris flying.

Luffy, trapped inside a heavy net, is hurled through the air in a wild spin. His body stretches as he yells, "GOMU GOMU...!" The net twists violently around him while impact lines and debris fill the background near the Baratie restaurant. Below, two armored figures react in terror, one helmeted face twisted in pain as they scream "AGHHH!" and "ARGHHH!" The net-bound Luffy continues his momentum, crashing forward with unstoppable force.

A massive striped-helmet figure swings a gigantic weapon downward in a crushing arc, shouting "SLEDGE-HAMMER!" The blow connects with the net containing Luffy, sending him flying even farther. The impact creates explosive shockwaves and flying debris as Luffy's net-wrapped form is launched across the scene like a cannonball.

Don Krieg's face fills the panel in a furious close-up, teeth bared as he roars "DON KRIIIIIEEEE-GGGGG!" In the next panel the Baratie cooks stare in disbelief; one sweats heavily while another shouts "H... HE REALLY DID IT! HE DEFEATED THE PIRATE FLEET ADMIRAL DON KRIEG..." A third figure pumps his fist and yells "WAY TO GO, ERRAND BOYYYYY!!!" while the defeated Krieg lies sprawled and smoking in the background.

Luffy continues his spinning flight, the net still wrapped around him as large Japanese SFX "ドズーン...!!" and "ザブン!!" mark his trajectory over the water near the Baratie. He lands with a grin, the net ball splashing down. Below, Don Krieg lies defeated on the ground, his massive armor cracked and smoking. Onlookers erupt in wild laughter and cheers, repeating "おおおおおおおお" as the battle ends.

On the deck of the Baratie, Sanji stands with sweat on his face, murmuring "SPEAR..." as he reflects on the conversation. A voice notes, "IS HIS OWN BRAND OF MIGHT ALL THE SAME. THEN THE 'SPEAR' OF THAT BOY..." Nearby, Don Krieg sits chained on the wreckage, declaring, "ALONG WITH THE HUNDREDS OF HIS WEAPONS, ARMOURS, AND EVEN HIS POISON GAS CAN BE SEEN AS HIS 'MIGHT,' IF THE FLEET THAT KRIEG AMASSED," while Zeff leans in close with a fierce grin, stating, "THEY'RE NO MATCH FOR THAT 'ONE SPECIAL SPEAR' THAT COMES FROM YOUR GUTS... NO MATTER HOW MANY HUNDREDS OF WEAPONS OR ARMOUR ONE IS EQUIPPED WITH." In a smaller panel, Krieg's men cry out in panic, "DAMN IT! HOW COULD OUR DON HAVE BEEN THERE...! DON! HANG IN THERE...!" with Japanese SFX "フンガーー れあああああ" showing the chaos on the broken ship. Sanji's face fills the final panel, blood dripping as he thinks, "CONVICTION..."

Sanji continues speaking on the Baratie deck, saying, "WHO'D STIFLE THAT VERY SPEAR FOR NO GOOD REASON... I HAPPEN TO KNOW OF A CERTAIN IDIOT," while a waiter carries a tray in the background. The scene shifts to Luffy, bound in ropes and a metal muzzle with Japanese SFX "ゴゴゴゴゴ", shouting furiously, "WHA! YOU DAMN GEEZER, YOU SHOULD'VE TOLD ME THAT SOONER!" Zeff replies calmly, "THOSE WITH SPECIAL ABILITIES OBTAINED FROM DEVIL FRUITS ARE HATED BY THE SEA AND CAN'T SWIM. WHAT'RE YOU SITTING THERE FORI HURRY UP AND GO RESCUE HIM 'CAUSE HE AIN'T COMING BACK UP ON HIS OWN." Zeff then turns away with "HMP..." as two legs splash into the water with SFX "ザブン!!" and a round object floats nearby.

Onlookers on the deck point and shout, "HIS PRIZED ARMOUR IS IN PIECES! SAY ALL YOU WANT BUT TAKE A LOOK FOR YOURSELF. AS IF THAT COULD EVER HAPPEN... KRIEG LOST...I HE'S THE SUPREME RULER OF THE SEAS...!" Don Krieg, stripped of his armor and headband askew, clutches his head in despair, coughing violently with SFX "COUGH! COUGH!" while thinking, "I BELIEVED... I WAS THE STRONGEST...! HE'S... THE ONLY MAN... I EVER ADMIRED...!" The fight erupts as Luffy and Sanji crash into the water together with a massive splash and SFX "バババババ", Luffy gasping "GASP!" Sanji yells, "HOW'D I KNOW!I BUT IN ANY CASE MOVING YOUR BODY RIGHT NOW CAN'T BE A GOOD THING! YOU NEED TO LIE DOWN AND REST!" while nearby cooks panic, "WHAT WAS IT AGAINI DOES IT SPREAD IF YOU MOVEI H-HEY YOU! DON'T MOVE OR THE POISON WILL..."

Sanji drags the injured Luffy through the wreckage toward the Baratie with SFX "バン バン!!", shouting, "DON'T YOU DIE ON ME NOW. HEY," as Luffy's face is bloodied. Underwater, Luffy thinks, "I GET THE FEELING THAT I'D NEVER BE ABLE TO RETURN BACK TO WHERE I'M STANDING RIGHT NOW. IF I WERE EVEN TO TAKE ONE STEP BACK RIGHT NOW," while gripping his sword. Sanji stares intensely, thinking, "ALL OF THEM..." Luffy surfaces screaming with wide eyes. Sanji snaps back with "AREN'T I STRONGEST!I" and "IT'S SIMPLE! JUST THROW YOUR AMBITIONS AWAY!" Luffy grins defiantly and declares, "THIS AIN'T THE PLACE FOR ME TO DIE!" with SFX "バン バン!!" and motion lines emphasizing the struggle.

Don Krieg stands triumphantly on the wreckage-strewn deck of the Baratie, arms spread wide as he declares, "I'VE WON EVERY SINGLE BATTLE! I'VE BEEN IN! IT'S UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THERE TO BE SOMEONE THAT CAN MATCH ME STRENGTH!" Nearby cooks plead, "DON! PLEASE STOP!" and warn, "IF YOU KEEP YELLING WITH THOSE INJURIES..." Krieg roars back, "NO ONE DARES TO GO AGAINST ME!" In close-up, his battered face twists as he shouts, "TO WIN!" while Sanji, bloodied and exhausted, mutters, "I WIN... AND W... ILL CONTI... NUE..." A voice urges, "CALM DOWN THE DON! HE'S LOST HIS CONSCIOUSNESS!" Suddenly Krieg's eyes snap open with a massive impact SFX "ドゴォ!!!" as he bellows, "I AM THE STRONGEST!" The Baratie cooks recoil in shock.

In a series of tight panels, Don Krieg's defeated face fills the frame as he mutters, "WE'VE LOST." His subordinate whispers, "DON KRIEG..." Krieg continues, "AND START ANEW." On the ruined Baratie deck, Krieg's pirates begin to withdraw as one shouts, "BATTLE COMMANDER! LET'S RETREAT FOR TODAY." Sanji stands over the fallen Gin, who lies bloodied on the planks. Sanji says quietly, "PLEASE DON'T COME AGAIN." Gin replies weakly, "YEAH..." Turning away, Sanji adds, "THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, SANJI..." as the defeated pirates limp off into the distance.
