Lashing Out

A wide view of Fish-Man Island shows buildings and a large plaza as citizens react in panic. A voice cries, "WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO THIS COUNTRYI!" Another shouts, "THE PRINCES ARE HEADED TO THE PLAZA...!!!" A map labels locations including Gyovalle Hills, Gyoncord Plaza, and Coral Cafe. In a crowded street, fish-men hold spears while a long-haired fish-man sits bound. One fish-man yells, "D'YOU THINK WE CAN USE THESE GUYS THE PRINCES CAPTURED AS HOSTAGES TO MAKE THEM STOP WHAT THEY'RE DOINGI!" Another adds, "I MEAN, THEY'RE TRYING TO EXECUTE THE KING...!!!" A bound fish-man laments, "WHY DO OUR LIVES HAVE TO BE PLACED IN DANGER......JUST FOR WANTING TO LIVE IN PEACE WITH THE HUMANS...!!!" Nearby, smaller panels show fish-men whispering about falling energy levels and "Kotsun," with one saying, "OH, MAN... THANKS TO THE DAMAGE THE PRINCES DEALT TO HIM..." and another demanding, "QUICK, PASS ME A NEW ENERGY STEROID PILL...!!!" A large close-up shows a fish-man with tears, stating, "IT'S NO USE, KOTSUN... BOSS HORDY IS A CRUEL MAN, KOTSUN... EVEN IF YOU TOOK US HOSTAGE, I'M SURE HE'D JUST ABANDON US AND CARRY ON, KOTSUN..."

Fish-men continue their tense discussion. One states, "HE'S SO FULL OF PRIDE AND AMBITION, POTSUN..." Another adds, "HE'S ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT, KOTSUN..." A fish-man bites down hard with "CHOMP" and "MTHHH!!!" as another says "RIGHT..." Background voices question "POTSUN"...I and "TOSUN"...I with sound effects "PA-THUMP!" Panels show flashbacks of a fish-man being struck down. Dialogue continues: "...HE HAS THEM ASSASSINATED, TOSUN!" "AND IF ANY FISHMAN HAS THE NERVE TO OFFER BLOOD DONATIONS TO AN INJURED HUMAN..." "HE EVEN HATES ANY FISHMEN WHO TRY TO DO BUSINESS WITH HUMAN PIRATES, POSUN..." More voices repeat "TOSUN"...I and "POSUN"I with another "PA-THUMP!" A large panel shows a shouting fish-man declaring, "AND ANY WORTHLESS FISHMAN WHO SEES FIT TO SIDE WITH THE INFERIOR HUMANS IS BUT AN OBSTACLE..." Another proclaims, "FOR A FISHMAN TO EXCHANGE BLOOD WITH A HUMAN IS AN INSULT TO HIS PROUD FISHMAN HERITAGE, DOSUN!!" and "THE BLOOD OF HUMANS IS TAINTED, TOSUN!!" Crowds react with shock as one yells, "HE'S BACK TO THE OLD DOSUN-SAN...!!!"

A massive close-up shows the hammerhead shark fish-man Dosun breaking free from heavy chains with a powerful surge. Impact effects "ZUH-ZUH-ZUH" and "DOSUN" explode across the panel as he roars, "...TO OUR GLORIOUS PLAN, DOGAN!!!" His muscular form strains against the restraints. Smaller panels below capture the chaos: fish-men shout, "AHHHHH!!! HE BROKE FREE FROM THE CHAINS!!!" and "WHERE IS HE GETTING THAT KIND OF POWER...I!!!" Another cries, "HE WENT BEYOND "DOSUN"!!!" Dosun's legs and chains dominate the foreground as the crowd reacts in terror to his sudden escape and surge of strength.

A furious fish-man with wild hair and a patterned outfit roars in rage, "DAMN YOU, FUKABOSHI...!!! YOU WILL PAY, BOKAN!!!" as impact lines and debris fly around him. Below, massive tentacles crush buildings in Gyoncord Plaza while a figure is hurled through the air. A voice declares, "NEXT TIME, I WILL CRUSH YOU, ZUGAN!!!" Another commands, "WE HAVE AN EXECUTION TO WATCH AT GYONCORD PLAZA, GYABAN!!! FOLLOW ME, MEN, BAGON!!!" as explosions erupt and a massive creature bellows, "YEAA AAAH HHH!!!"

A drunken fish-man with messy hair and a cigarette yells, "YOU, HYOUZOU-SAN!!!" while another slurs, "UEHHHII WHO-UH YOU CALLIN' - HIC - DRUNKI" Nearby, a map labels Gyovalley Hills, Gyoncord Plaza, Coral Hill, and Mermaid Cove on Southern Fishman Island. The drunk protests, "C'MON, C'MON! I'LL BUY YOU A - HIC - DRINK, UH KAAAYI!" and "I'M NOT SMART, YOU'RE JUST BARELY CONSCIOUS!!" as he staggers. Allies shout, "GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!! YOU CAN'T FIGHT LIKE THIS!!" and "IT'S NO USE! HE'S DRUNKER THAN A SEA CUCUMBER!!" while warning, "WE'RE ABOUT TO DO BATTLE WITH THE FUKABOSHI AND THE REST OF NEPTUNE'S ARMY!" and "HYOUZOU'S A 'BUTCHERING DRUNK'!!!" A swordsman grip tightens as someone mutters, "I CAN SHO HOL' A SHORD!" and fears, "IF WE'RE UNLUCKY, WE MIGHT EVEN HAVE TO FACE THE LEGENDARY JIMBEI!!"

Hyouzou, the blue-ringed octopus merman, unleashes a frenzy of tentacles and swords, roaring "AAAA ARGH HH HHH!!!" and "HWAA IYAAAH HHH!!!" while muttering drunkenly "HM-HM-H MMMM..." A massive octopus form labeled "HYOUZOU (BLUE-RINGED OCTOPUS MERMAN)" dominates the panel as allies panic, "EEHEEHEH..." and "WE CAN'T EVEN TELL WHAT YOU'RE SAYING ANY MORE!!!" One figure slurs, "OUIW YEAH, AIY NOWU! I SHURR GOW SHLIYSH UP ZHA NEPSHOON AAMEE!!" while another notes, "ZEHR AIG'UH EBULRR EAMUNJH REE HIORR MLAERHHH!"

At the Eastern Fishman Island Marine Shopping Mall, a fish-man swings a massive chained weapon, screaming "GUAAA HHH!!!" as civilians panic. A voice questions, "DID YOU COMMON CITIZENS REALLY THINK YOU COULD ACHIEVE ANYTHING...I" while another demands, "WHERE ARE THESE ATTACKS COMING FROM...I" and pleads, "STOP THIS!! PLEASE!! WE WON'T RESIST ANY MORE, JUST DON'T KILL US!!" A map marks Gyovalley Hills and Coral Mermaid Cove. Citizens cry "AAAHHH HHHHHH!!!" and "URGH HHH!" as one notes, "YOUR EFFORTS ARE MEANINGLESS...!!!" In the chaos, someone spots "LOOK!! A BUG!! EW! SQUASH IT!!!" and "THE THREE NEPTUNE BROTHERS!! AND SOON, THEY TOO WILL BE DEAD." A girl wonders, "THE VOICE DISAPPEARED...I" while another explains, "ZEO-SAN CAN CAMOUFLAGE HIMSELF LIKE A CHAMELEON, BLENDING PERFECTLY INTO HIS SURROUNDINGS."

A massive striped wobbegong fish-man named ZEO crushes a crowd of terrified fish-men under his enormous body in Gyoncord Plaza. Smaller fish-men scream and cough as they are pinned down. One fish-man yells, "YEAH, I SQUASHED IT FLAT!! IS THE COCKROACH DEADI" ZEO declares, "YOU CANNOT ESCAPE YOUR FATES!!!" A fish-man protests, "HE HELD ON TO HIS DIGNITY!!! THAT'S THE SELF-PROFESSED 'NOBLE OF THE FISHMAN DISTRICT' FOR YOU!!!" Another shouts, "IS HE ACTUALLY TRYING TO PRETEND THAT DIDN'T JUST HAPPENI!" ZEO continues, "WITH THE DEATH OF THE LINE OF NEPTUNE... A NEW KING WILL ARISE!!!" The crowd reacts in horror as ZEO proclaims, "YES, THIS IS A REVOLUTION!!!!!" and "TODAY IN GYONCORD PLAZA... SO LET US GO!! TO THE PLAZA!!!"

A detailed map of the Gyoncord Plaza area shows locations including Waterwheel Town, Mermaid Cove, Coral Apartments, Coral Hill, Gyovalley Hills, Sweet Factory, Seafolk Cultural Hall, and Fish Bus Stop. A long-haired merman with a stern expression studies the map. In a fish-shaped vehicle speeding through the water, soldiers discuss their route: "WE'LL BE THERE IN UNDER AN HOUR." and "HOW LONG WE REACH GYONCORD PLAZAI" One soldier notes, "BUT THERE SHOULD BE NO NEED FOR HORDY TO EXECUTE THE KING IN SUCH A PUBLIC PLACE..." The long-haired merman declares fiercely, "I WILL NOT ALLOW HIM TO HARM MY FATHER!! AND I WILL NOT ALLOW HIM TO CLOSE OFF THE HEARTS OF THE POPULACE THAT WE HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO OPEN TO NEW POSSIBILITIES!!" Another replies, "...THEN SO BE IT. LET HIM TRY...!!!" A third warns, "IT MUST BE PART OF A BIGGER PLAN. HE MEANS TO CAPTURE YOU AS WELL, PRINCE!!"

Fish-men discuss the situation while traveling. One wonders, "I WONDER IF SHIRAHOSHI IS STILL SAFE INSIDE SHELL TOWER...I" Another says, "IT'S SURPRISING THAT WE HAVEN'T HEARD ANY NEWS ABOUT HER-FA-SO-LA-TI-DO!" A shark-like fish-man adds, "NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY JINBEI NEVER ONCE TOOK HIS EYES OFF THAT HORDY!" and "...I BET IT'S THEIR FAULT NO HUMANS HAVE BEEN VISITING THE ISLAND LATELY, AS WELL!" Others comment on the mermaids at the cove sensing no ill will and being good judges of character. Fukaboshi-niisama is asked about the Straw Hat crew. A soldier shouts, "GATHER ALL THE SOLDIERS OF THE LAND!!! WE WILL RESCUE THE KING, NO MATTER WHAT!!!" as the group cheers "YEAHHHH HHHH!!!" while riding the fish vehicle over coral reefs. One replies, "VERY TRUE-FA-SO-LA-TI-DO, MY BROTHER!!"

Fish-man soldiers in Gyovalley Hills battle a massive sea bear. One soldier yells, "TO THINK THAT WE WOULD BE RENDERED POWERLESS AGAINST A MERE SEA MONSTER... THERE IS SOMETHING STRANGE ABOUT THAT BEAST!" The sea bear roars "RRRRRR GHHHHH HHHHH!!!" A soldier commands, "SEA BEAR!!! THAT'S ENOUGH!! THESE GUYS ARE BARELY BREATHING ANY MORE!!!" The sea bear continues rampaging as soldiers are thrown about. In smaller panels, soldiers shout "FIREI!!" and "MUHHH!!" while one yells "NOW STOP!!" Others call out, "SEA MONSTERS DON'T LIKE FIRE!!! USE FIRE." and "STOP NOW, SEA BEAR!!!" A soldier is shown firing a weapon with smoke and impact effects as the battle rages.

Ikaros Much, the giant squid fishman, thrashes violently as flames engulf his body. His massive tentacles flail while he screams in agony, "GUAAA AAAHHHH HHHHHH!!!" The fire triggers a traumatic reaction, causing his form to curl unnaturally. Below, panicked fishmen shout in the chaos: "LIKE HECK IT WILL!!!", "IT'S GOING TO TURN ME INTO DRIED SQUID!!", "PUT OUT THE FIRE, YOU FOOLS!!", and "EHHHI! IKAROS-SAN'S BODY IS CURLING OVER BACKWARD!! WHAT KIND OF CURSE IS THISI!" One cries, "AHHH... POP-POP..." while another yells, "THE FIREI! WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE FIREI!!" and "AHHH I'M SORRY..." Ikaros's name and title "GIANT SQUID FISHMAN" are displayed prominently as his dried-squid trauma manifests.

Flashback panels reveal Ikaros Much's past: "BUT ONE DAY, HIS FRIEND GOT TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN... A LONG TIME AGO, IKAROS-SAN WHO WAS A GIANT SQUID... AND TURNED INTO A GIANT DRIED SQUID! THE TRAUMA OF IT COMES BACK TO HIM WHENEVER HE SEES A NAKED FLAME." Ikaros roars, "NOBODY WAS THINKING THAT, IDIOT!!!" and "IF YOU WERE PLANNING ON EATING ME WITH A NICE DRINK, THEN I'LL TEAR YOUR HEAD OFF!!!" while apologizing, "AHH! I'M SORRY..." A small panel shows "DAIDALOS" with the note that this mocks the Daedalus and Icarus legend. Present-day action continues with Ikaros screaming "AAAAAGH HHHH!!!" and "MUHHHH HHI!!!" as fishmen warn, "SO THEY SUCK ALL THE WATER OUT OF ANY TARGET THEY STRIKE!!!", "OH NO!! IKAROS' DRIED SQUID LANCES ARE ALWAYS DESPERATE TO BECOME REAL SQUID AGAIN...", and "BE MORE CAREFUL IN FUTURE-HHI!"

Ikaros Much rampages, repeatedly shouting "SQUID SQUIDSQUID SQUIDSQUID SQUIDSQUID!!!" while pummeling foes. Observers react: "OH, MAN!! HE'S ACTUALLY BEATING UP THE GUY HE JUST DRIED OUT!!!", "NGUAAAA AAAARG HHHHH HH!!!", and "SQUIIIIIIID..." One notes, "...WOW... HE REALLY IS LIKE A DRIED SQUID NOW!!" and "MUJHHH!! TRUE ENOUGH!!" Allies urge, "IKAROS-SAN, DON'T YOU THINK THAT'S ENOUGHI! WE HAVE TO GET OVER TO THE PLAZA SOON, RIGHTI!!" In the distance, a fishman spots something and shouts, "IS THAT... HORDYI!!" while another calls, "MINISTER OF THE RIGHT...!! LOOK UP ABOVE, IN THE SKY!!"

The scene shifts to chaos at the plaza as a massive sea creature carrying the Fish-Man District gang descends. Voices cry, "WE HAVE TO GET OVER TO GYONCORD PLAZA!!", "IKAROS-SAN!! THERE'S ONLY TWO HOURS LEFT UNTIL THE KING'S EXECUTION!!", and "YOUR MAJESTY...!!!" Neptune's forces react in alarm: "WHAT USE IS THE NEPTUNE ARMY... IF IT CANNOT EVEN PROTECT THE KING WHOSE NAME IT BEARSI!!!", "THE TRUTH IS...!", "WHY DOES HE NOT SHOW HIS FACEI!!", "BUT WHERE IS HORDYI!!", and "MUJHHH IIII" A large panel shows the gang leader declaring, "IT'S THE FISHMAN DISTRICT GANG!!! THEY'RE HEADED FOR THE PLAZA!!" Neptune commands, "SILENCE...!!!" and "DO NOT CALL ME BY THAT NAME... WHAT WARRIOR CANNOT EVEN PROTECT HIS OWN PEOPLE...I!!" while citizens plead, "SAVE US, WARRIOR OF THE SEA!!" and "BRING US ONE OF YOUR GREAT MIRACLES!!" The gang mocks, "UGH... THOSE ASSHOLES...!!!"

Fish-men discuss Captain Hody's worsening condition. "But then he... I mean, we tried to stop him...!!!" one says. Another explains, "...so he's been consuming tons of energy steroids to make up for it..." A third adds, "That wound Captain Hordy received from the pirate swordsman has been hurting him real bad all day..." Hody Jones writhes in agony on the ground, muscles bulging grotesquely as he screams, "GUAAAAA AAAHHHHH HHHH!!!" Large impact SFX "ビクン!!" and "ビクン..." shake the scene. In close-up panels, his eyes bulge and he gasps desperately, "I can't... breathe...!!!" while panting repeatedly. Nearby subordinates cry out in panic, "CAPTAIN HORDY!!!"

The side effects intensify. "MUHHH!!! HE IS SUFFERING FROM SIDE EFFECTS OF THE STEROIDSI!I! OH, CAPTAIN HORDY!!!" a fish-man shouts. "IT'S TEARING ITSELF APART...!!!!" another screams as Hody's body convulses violently. "MY BODY..." Hody groans amid the chaos. A massive explosion of energy erupts with the sound effect "ビクン" as Hody transforms further, roaring "NNNN GUUUUA AAAAAA ARRRGH HHHHHH HHH!!!" Sea bears and other monsters react in terror. One fish-man stares in horror: "SOMETHING'S REALLY WEIRD ABOUT THIS BEAR... ALL OF THESE SEA MONSTERS......I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER LOOKED THEM SO TERRIFIED...!!!" Another notes, "...WERE BRED UNDER CONTROL BY CAPTAIN HORDY HIMSELF, BUT..." The sea bear growls "GRRRR RROOOH HHHHH!!!" while others panic, "WHAT'S THE MATTER, SEA BEARI!I!"
