Whitebeard swings his massive naginata with tremendous force, the blade crackling with energy as he roars, "KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ENEMY IN FRONT OF YOU!!!" Explosions and shockwaves erupt around him. In a smaller panel, a Marine soldier shouts, "HAS JOINED THE DEFENSE!!! THE HERO GARP". Another Marine yells, "YOU'RE FROM THE SAME AGE." Below, a massive blast rocks the battlefield with the sound effect "ボゴォン!!!" as debris flies. Whitebeard continues his assault amid crashing waves and smoke. A close-up shows a stern Marine officer declaring, "DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN HIS NAME!!! HE'S JUST ANOTHER OLD MARINE!!!" Nearby, a grinning man with a scar laughs, "FUFUN!!"

The Marine officer with the crescent-shaped mustache glares and says, "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO TRY AND STOP ME!!!" In the chaos below, Whitebeard fights through a crowd of Marines, blades clashing as he shouts, "CLEAR A PATH TO ACE!!!" A massive explosion erupts with the sound effects "オオオ" and "ビシ", debris flying everywhere. Whitebeard declares, "SHOW THEM THE STRENGTH OF THE NEW WORLD!!!" A Marine is sent flying with the reaction "パゴッ..!!"

Explosions continue with sound effects "ビシッ" and "ビグォォン". A chained figure cries out, "WHAT'S THE MATTER... FIRE FIST...!!I" while background voices scream "わあああああ". In a calmer panel, a man with a striped shirt and a blonde woman stand together; the man asks, "DO YOU KNOW WHY SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HURT BY PIRATES!I" Another panel shows an injured person on the ground as someone questions, "DO I KNOW ABOUT HIM...I GOL D. A young boy with glasses watches silently from the side.

"WHAT!!I" Explosions and chaos erupt in the background as townspeople shout, "THEY'RE SAYING A KID ALMOST KILLED SOME DELINQUENTS IN TOWN... IT'S A HUGE MESS!!" and "WHAT DID YOU DO WHEN YOU WENT INTO TOWN!I ACE!!" Garp sits with young Ace and asks, "...! GRAMPS... DO YOU HAVE ANY GRANDKIDS...I ARE THEY... HAPPYI" Ace laughs wildly, "BUWAHAHAHA!! HEY ACE, I'VE HEARD YOU'VE BEEN CAUSIN' SOME TROUBLE!!" Garp snaps, "ROGER!I DON'T EVEN MENTION THAT DAMN NAME, KID!!" and "YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ROGERI" A small figure replies, "YEAH, HIS NAME'S LUFFY, I THINKI HE'S BEING RAISED WELL." Garp's face is stern as he says, "..." and "AND YOU'LL FIND OUT. KEEP ON LIVING..." while Ace remains silent. Ace suddenly cries out in pain, "THIS IS MY LAST REQUEST!! PLEASE LISTEN...!!!" Garp yells, "HA!! YOU'RE STILL CONSCIOUS...!!!" and "IVA...!!" as Ivankov appears shouting "GAH!" A Marine shouts, "ACE, JUST WAIT!!" while others yell, "I'M... CLEAR A PATH!!!" and "WE'LL BE RIGHT THERE!!! JUST ONE MORE STEP!!" Buggy's crew cheers, "GYAAH!" The narration states, "AWFUL......!!!"

Garp and Buggy watch the battlefield. Garp thinks, "I WANT... TO LIVE!!!" Buggy shouts desperately, "DON'T GIVE UP!!!" "JUST YOU WAIT, ACE!!!" "ACE!!! WE'LL SAVE YOU!!!" "ACE!!!" A voice calls, "HE'S AWAKE! HE'S ALIVE!! THANK GOD!!" while another says, "CAPTAIN BUGGY!!" Buggy stares in horror, "BUT THEN YOU THAWED IN THE MAGMA-HEATED WATER!I YOU WERE FROZEN BY AOKIJI... WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!I" Crocodile yells at Buggy, "THOSE DAMN MARINES... DO YOU THINK I'M THE KIND OF MAN WHO WOULD LET THINGS END LIKE THIS...!!!I" Buggy wails, "UWOOOOH!!! THOSE AREN'T THE WORDS A NORMAL PERSON WOULD SAY RIGHT AFTER GETTING FROZEN!!!" Ace weeps, "AND I'M SO HAPPY...!!! I CAN'T STOP MY TEARS." He remembers, "MY OLD MAN... MY LITTLE BROTHER... MY BROTHERS IN ARMS... THEIR BLOOD IS BEING SPILLED ALL AROUND ME...!!!" and thinks, "DAMN IT... I'M... I'M SO MESSED UP!!! AT A TIME LIKE THIS..."

Whitebeard's massive hand clenches as he reacts with shock. "!!I" "ビキ...!!!" "ビキ...!!" He grips his naginata tightly. Whitebeard roars, "GOD DAMN IT...!!!" as he swings his weapon, "BECHA!!" The impact sends shockwaves through the ground. A Marine cries out, "EVEN YOU CAN'T OVERCOME OLD AGE..." while another shouts, "WHITE-BEARD!!!" Someone yells in alarm, "BOSS!!I"

In the heat of the Marineford battlefield, a voice declares, "FIGHTS ARE WON AND LOST IN A SINGLE INSTANT~". Marco is struck hard, his face twisted in pain as he thinks, "THIS IS WHAT I WAS MOST AFRAID OF...!!!!" and "...!!!!". An ally shouts "MARCO!!!" as Marco reels from the blow, grunting "UUHH!!!". Below, Jozu yells "JOZ!!!" while taking a heavy hit that sends him flying with "GUWAH!!!". A close-up shows an intense fighter with a headband glaring and saying, "LOOKS LIKE YOU AREN'T FOCUSED..." as the clash continues amid smoke and debris.

A massive explosion erupts with smoke and debris flying. A Marine soldier in a cap stares forward with a stern expression. The fight intensifies as a powerful strike lands, producing large impact SFX and sending bodies flying. A fighter in a cloak is slammed violently, with dramatic motion lines and black impact shapes filling the panel. Smaller panels show close-ups of strained, sweating faces reacting to the brutal exchange.

Narration and voices warn the curly-haired commander: "IF YOU PUSH IT ANY FURTHER... YOUR BODY IS AT ITS LIMIT!!! YOU WERE ALMOST KILLED BY THAT POISON. DURING THE FIGHT IN IMPEL DOWN... He roars back, "HEY, THE BOSS...!!!" and "you could SERIOUSLY DIE!!!" while others shout "...!!!" and "HEY, THE BOSS...!!!". The commander insists, "IF I DIE, THAT'S FINE!! I HAVE TO DO ALL I CAN... LET ME FIGHT, MA...!!" with heavy breathing "HAA... HAA...". Below, he continues, "IF I CAN'T SAVE ACE... I DON'T FIGHT NOW..." as allies cry "MARCO AND JOZ ARE IN TROUBLE TOO!!!" and "THE BOSS IS DOWN."

A close-up shows the curly-haired commander with a fierce, sweating face shouting, "I'D WANT TO DIE!!!". Allies plead, "GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO FIGHT!!! RIGHT NOW..." amid more impacts. In a wide splash panel Luffy, a long-haired ally, and others charge through smoke and rubble toward a distant structure as Luffy unleashes a thunderous "UWOOOOOOOHHHH!!!" Below, an injured man with dark hair and beads looks up and says "LUFFY..." while Luffy's face fills the frame in a raw, open-mouthed roar amid swirling motion lines and debris.
