Close-ups show his tear-streaked face and desperate eyes. Luffy appears in profile, shouting "I'm going to save you even if it kills me!!!" and "We won't leave a single one of those bastards who hurt Ace alive." A Marine in the distance yells "You just wait!!! We're coming to get you!!!" Ace continues, "I'll grasp the hand that will reach out to save me... I'll also accept the blade that will swing down to judge me..." Luffy reacts with shock as Pacifistas and Marines advance amid smoke and debris.

Luffy's face twists in rage with wide eyes and gritted teeth. Pirates react in panic and excitement. Voices shout "Damn right!! Beside him, a Marine with glasses reports, "SO HE'S NOT ONE TO LET US GUIDE HIS ACTIONS... IT WAS NEVER THE MOST REFINED OF STRATEGIES..."

Jimbei clashes fiercely with an unseen foe controlling shadows. "GIVE ME YOUR SHADOW!!!" a voice demands as Jimbei counters with Fishman Karate, "*SAMEHADA SHOUTEI*!!!" and "SHARKSKIN PALM BLOCK". Luffy is hurled through the air by a chain-wielding attacker. "GUAAHH!!" he cries as the chain strikes, "WHOAA!!" and "ダダダッ!!!". Tashigi yells desperately, "TASHIGI, MOVE!!! DAMMIT...!!!" while a voice shouts "AHH!!". Luffy spots her and calls out, "STRAWHAT!!". The chain wielder is struck hard, "BUE-GHH!!!" as Luffy delivers a powerful kick sending the enemy flying amid massive impact effects and "!!I".

Luffy pants heavily, "HAA... HAA... YOU...!!! SMOKEY...!!!! IT'S GOT KAIROUSEKI IN IT...!! DAMN YOU!!" as Smoker is blasted back, "OWWW...!!!" and "HAA". Smoker glares, "GOMU GOMU... I WILL FINISH YOU MYSELF!!!" Luffy launches his attack, "JET GATLING" with rapid punches creating huge impact effects and "ドドドドドド!!!" while Smoker is overwhelmed amid "!!!" and debris.

Luffy and Smoker continue their clash. Luffy declares, "I BELIEVE THAT GOES FOR BOTH OF US." Smoker notes, "HE'S WAY STRONGER THAN HE WAS BEFORE!" as Luffy counters with "WHITE LAUNCHER" sending Smoker flying amid "!!I" and "もごもご".
