Luffy and Whitebeard

WE SUDDENLY GOT PICKED UP BY SOME STUPIDLY HUGE WAVE" and "WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED!!I" Another voice cries, "WHAT ARE WE DOING UP HERE!!I" The ocean surface has frozen solid, trapping the vessel. Close-up panels reveal a star-shaped eye glaring as someone declares, "IT WOULD SEEM THE WAR IS ALREADY UNDERWAY!!!" An old man with a mustache yells "OLD MAN!!" while another figure responds, "YOU'LL SEE THE ANSWER." A man in a black coat orders, "TAKE A LOOK DOWN THERE." At the bottom, Luffy, bruised and determined under his straw hat, roars: "WE CAN'T LET THIS STOP US WHEN WE'VE GOT THIS FAR! THERE ARE ONLY THREE HOURS LEFT UNTIL ACE'S EXECUTION!!! LISTEN UP, GUYS!!! I HAVE AN IDEA, AND IT'S GONNA GET US OUT OF THIS!!"

Nearby, a striped-shirt pirate cheers, "YEAH! WE HAVE CAPTAIN BUGGY, THE MAN WHO'S GOING TO RULE THE WORLD, ON OUR SIDE!!!" while Buggy himself exclaims, "I...!!! I SUDDENLY HAVE THE FEELING I CAN DO THIS...!!!" Lower panels show Luffy's wide-eyed surprise as voices discuss, "ONCE PREPARATIONS ARE MADE, WE WILL BE EXECUTING ACE BEFORE THE SCHEDULED TIME!" and "PREPARATIONS ARE TO BE EXECUTED FLAWLESSLY! In a sudden close-up, a scarred face twists in horror. The falling ship slams into the ground with a colossal impact, sending shockwaves, dust clouds, and flying wreckage everywhere as the massive vessel crashes down.

Ace, bloodied and exhausted, gasps, "LUFFY!!!" Nearby, Crocodile appears among the fighters. A Marine ally yells, "NO TIME TO BE DWELLING ON JUST HIM! WHO THE HELL ARE THESE GUYS!I" Another cries, "OI!! THAT CAN'T BE... CROCODILE!!I"

Chaos erupts across the battlefield. Blackbeard spreads his arms wide with a maniacal laugh: "GYAHHAHAHA-HAHA!!! Another adds, "AND LOOK BEHIND THEM!! THOSE ARE ALL PIRATES WHO USED TO BE PLENTY INFAMOUS THEMSELVES!!!" Jimbei, Crocodile, and Ivankov are spotted among them, prompting the shout, "JIMBEI!! CROCODILE!! EVEN IVANKOV OF THE REVOLUTIONARY ARMY!!!" Boa Hancock appears, hands on her cheeks, whispering "Luffy...!! It is such a relief to see you safe...!!!" Marines react in panic: "WHAT IS HE DOING IN A PLACE LIKE THIS!I THAT ISN'T HIS USUAL CREW!!!" A massive roar erupts as someone bellows "SSSSSSTTTT RRRRRAAAA WWWWW HHHAAAAATTTTT!!I" Smoker glares and mutters, "YOU NEVER FAIL TO MAKE A SCENE WORTH WITNESSING... STRAWHAT..."

Doflamingo grins widely, "THE OUTRAGEOUS ROOKIE EVERYONE'S BEEN TALKING ABOUT... STRAWHAT...!!!!" and adds, "CURRENT AND FORMER SHICHIBUKAI ALL GATHERED HERE...!! FUFFUFFU... AND THEN... HIM..." A man realizes, "THAT MUST BE THE BROTHER ACE WAS TALKING ABOUT!" Crocodile and Luffy's arrival draws cries of "STRAWHAT... AND CROCODILE!! WHAT KIND OF ALLIANCE IS THIS!I" Tashigi shouts, "SMOKER-SAN!! LOOK!" as Smoker replies, "YEAH... THIS IS NO TIME TO BE DISTRACTED!!!"

A massive warship crashes violently into the plaza amid explosions and debris, labeled with "KATON..." and Marine symbols. Below, Crocodile snarls, "I RESIGN AS A SHICHIBUKAI!!!" Garp roars back, "INDEED! SO THIS IS YOUR ANSWER, IS IT, JIMBEI!I"

Doflamingo smirks, "WHERE IS CROCO-BOYI HMI" while Garp growls, "IT SEEMS POSSIBLE THAT THEY ALL SHARE A COMMON OBJECTIVE... PARTICULARLY ON THIS BATTLEFIELD... THAT'S A SCREWED-UP TEAM IF I EVER SAW ONE..." In the center, Whitebeard stands tall with arms spread as Crocodile's hook strikes from behind, sending Whitebeard reeling with a massive impact. Crocodile's voice echoes, "IT'S BEEN A WHILE, WHITEBEARD! OLD MAN!!!" Whitebeard shouts, "CROCODILE IS AFTER WHITEBEARD'S GLORY...!!!" as allies react in alarm, "OVER THERE!!! WHY, THAT LITTLE... TRYING TO STEAL MY GLORY...!!!"

Luffy stares in shock as voices around him react to Whitebeard's arrival. "Then you're not touching him! This is the one guy Ace really cares about!" "So this guy really is Whitebeard, huhI" "We had an arrangement, did we notI Why do you defend WhitebeardI" In a flashback sequence, Luffy runs through Marineford in East Blue, borrowing Shanks' straw hat. "I'm borrowing this hat from him!" "Oh, hey! You know Shanks, huh!I" A massive clash erupts as Whitebeard towers over Luffy. "Boy... That Straw Hat you wear... What manner of enemy took that left arm from youI" Luffy grins fiercely amid the impact. "Oh, this...I I bet it on a new age..." Onlookers react: "That brother of Ace's isn't half bad..." A tall man with a staff declares, "That's right!! Are you here to save your brotherI" while another holds up Luffy's wanted poster, noting its resemblance to Shanks' hat. "Check it out, old man!! This kid is my brother!!"

Whitebeard looms over the scene as chaos erupts. "He's competing with Whitebeard...!!!" Luffy crouches defiantly, shouting, "I'll do this however I damn well want!!! I'm saving Ace myself!!!" Whitebeard roars back, "You'd better not get in my way, Greenhorn!!!" Sengoku appears in close-up, warning, "I hope you understand who you're up against. You will simply be throwing your life away!!" Luffy yells, "I've heard about you... You want to be the Pirate King, right!I Well, the one who's going to be the Pirate King is me!!!" Sengoku replies calmly, "Dear me... May I assume that all of these intruders may be executed, Sengoku-san...I" "Naturally!!!" A massive impact sends debris flying as Luffy is knocked back. "WHAAA-AAAAA!!!I" An unseen voice mutters, "...Well, I'll be damned..."
