THE POWER OF THE WORLD...!" Luffy's desperate cry echoes across the ruined deck of the Baratie.

Sanji stands with his back to the wreckage, calmly stating "EVER SINCE I'VE DECIDED TO BECOME THE WORLD'S GREATEST SWORDSMAN, I THREW AWAY MY ATTACHMENT TO LIFE." A crewman rages "THAT DAMN BASTARD'S OUT OF HIS MIND! HIS ENEMY WAS THE WORLD'S STRONGEST! THE RESULT'S OBVIOUS! IF IT'S GONNA MEAN YOUR DEATH, THEN JUST THROW YOUR DAMN AMBITION AWAY!" Sanji's expression hardens as he snaps back "JUST THROW AWAY THAT AMBITION! IT'S SIMPLE!" In the next instant his body is hurled violently through the air, swords spinning wildly around him with a large "TURN" sound effect as debris and impact lines fill the panel.

Luffy is sent flying backward in a massive impact, limbs flailing as "BRO!" and heavy Japanese SFX "ザッ" "ウン" explode around him. Close-ups show Sanji's furious eye and gritted teeth with "DAMN IT!" and sharp motion lines "ザッ". Luffy's massive fist swings forward with a giant "DAMN YOU!" while Sanji's shocked face fills another panel. The wide view reveals the devastated Baratie deck with distant figures and scattered debris as the brutal exchange continues.

Onlookers including Fullbody and Baratie chefs react with shock as "WHAT'S THAT!I" and "!!!" burst above them. Sanji's eyes widen in alarm. Luffy charges forward in a powerful stance, fist cocked, bellowing a massive "ARGHHHHH!" with heavy speed lines. Don Krieg stares in disbelief, shouting "HE MUST BE A DEVIL FRUIT USER!" and "THAT BRAT....!" while his armored form and the ruined surroundings shake from the force of Luffy's attack.

Mihawk stands in dramatic silhouette, cape billowing, as he speaks with cold intensity. "WITNESSED WHAT JUST TRANSPIRED...!" "A COMRADE OF THE YOUNG SWORDSMANI" "SO YOU'VE ALSO," he continues. In a sudden, devastating strike, his blade flashes with a massive "SWOOSH" impact. Zoro is hurled backward in a violent spray of debris and motion lines, his swords flying as he crashes down hard. "!!I" Luffy tumbles across the deck in the aftermath, hitting the ground with a pained "OOF!" Nearby, a figure groans "NGHH..." amid scattered impact sounds and dust.

Luffy stares in shock, eyes wide and mouth agape. "THAT MAN IS STILL ALIVE." A voice reassures, "FEAR NOT." Zoro lies sprawled on the wooden deck, swords crossed over his back, sweat flying as he struggles. From the ship, voices cry out desperately: "ZORO!I" "BRO! ANSWER US, BRO!" The scene shifts to the damaged deck where Luffy shouts, "HURRY UP AND GET HIM ON THE BOAT!" A bearded crewmate yells "ZORO!" while rushing forward amid the chaos of scattered planks and distant wreckage.

Mihawk looms in close-up, eyes sharp beneath his hat. "IT IS MUCH TOO EARLY FOR YOU TO DIE," he declares. "I AM DRACULE MIHAWK!" On the shattered deck, Luffy and the others scramble to treat Zoro. "APPLY THE MEDICINE ON HIS WOUNDS!" "HURRY!" "KNOW THY WORLD!" "KNOW THY SELF!" Mihawk's voice echoes powerfully from off-panel: "AND BECOME STRONG, RORONOA!" The wide view shows Mihawk standing tall on the ruined planks, his black coat flowing, as the Straw Hats work frantically in the background.

An elderly figure on the wrecked ship calls out, "I SHALL STAND HERE AT THE TOP OF THE WORLD AND WAIT FOR YOU!" "NO MATTER HOW MANY MONTHS OR YEARS PASS BY," Mihawk continues from the foreground, gripping a broken wooden beam. "SO FORGE ON AHEAD WITH THAT FIERCE CONVICTION AND TRY TO SURPASS MY SWORD!" Mihawk replies calmly, "A TOUGH PATH, INDEED. EVEN TOUGHER THAN SURPASSING MYSELF." Luffy grins wildly and answers, "I'M GOING TO DO IT ANYWAYS!" "WHATEVER!"

Usopp and the large man with a spiked hat cry out across the shattered deck. "BRO...! PLEASE ANSWER US...! LIKE HELL HE'D BE ALRIGHT! BUT HE IS STILL ALIVE! HE ONLY LOST HIS CONSCIOUS! USOPP! IS ZORO ALRIGHT!I" A sudden sound effect cuts through the air as a hand grips a massive sword. Luffy turns sharply, eyes wide, and calls out, "ZOROI" The blade gleams as Mihawk's silhouette looms nearby.

Sanji stands with a cigarette, sweat on his face, listening. Luffy shouts across the ruined ship, "C...CAN YOU HEAR ME...I" A weak voice answers, "L-LUFFY..." Luffy replies firmly, "YEAH!" A monstrous, fanged face appears in a panel, apologizing, "SORRY FOR WORRYING YOU..." Luffy continues with tears in his eyes, "IT WILL ONLY EMBARRASS YOU...! THAT IF I DON'T BECOME... THE WORLD'S STRONGEST SWORDSMAN," The large man on the floor roars, "I SWEAR! BRO! PLEASE DON'T TALK ANYMORE! GUH!" Nearby cooks react in alarm.

The large man's face fills the panel in anguish as he screams, "THAT I'M NEVER GOING TO LOSE AGAIN!" Luffy clenches his fist and echoes, "I SWEAR!" Mihawk stands holding his sword, declaring, "UNTIL THE DAY I FIGHT HIM AND WIN..." The final wide panel shows the deck with several figures as the vow echoes: "TO NEVER LOSE AGAIN!"

Luffy hangs upside down from the Baratie deck beams, legs hooked high as two figures watch from the background. "PIRATE KING!I" a voice blurts in shock. "ANY PROBLEMSI" Luffy replies casually. In close-up, Luffy grins widely with eyes shut, declaring "NOPE!" and chuckling "HEE HEE!" On the wooden deck, Luffy stands facing Mihawk, whose black coat billows. "SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE..." Luffy says. "I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TWO AGAIN," Mihawk answers. A sharp SFX "バ + ィ.....!" cuts between them. Mihawk adds, "YOU MAKE A GOOD TEAM."

Don Krieg looms with a wide grin, sweat on his brow. "THE HEAD OF THE INFAMOUS RULER OF EAST BLUE, 'DON KRIEG'!I" he roars. "DID YOU COME ALL THE WAY OUT HERE FOR MY HEADI" Mihawk stands on the deck with his massive sword, a bold SFX "ドーン" echoing as someone shouts "HAWK-EYES!" Mihawk turns slightly, replying, "BUT I'VE ALREADY ENJOYED MYSELF HERE. AND SO I'LL RETURN BACK TO MY NAP." "FOR A WHILE, YES." Krieg's crew panics in the background, one man yelling "W-WHY'S HE PURPOSELY TRYING TO PREVENT THAT MAN FROM LEAVING...!I" while another stammers "D-D-D-DON!" A crewman in armor protests, "YOU MAY HAVE HAD YOUR FUN, BUT I'M SURE HAVEN'T!" Mihawk counters coolly, "NO NEED TO BE SO CURT."

Mihawk swings his black blade in a powerful arc, the impact sending Don Krieg flying backward amid heavy impact lines and smoke. "HOW ABOUT YOU DIE BEFORE LEAVING!I" Mihawk declares. In a tight shot, Mihawk glares and mutters, "YOU NEVER LEARN, DO YOU..." followed by a dismissive "HMPH." The massive slash continues across the sea, carving through waves and debris with a huge SFX "ドン" as Mihawk says, "FAREWELL."

Mihawk stands alone on the shattered deck as the sea churns. "GONE ALREADY..." he notes with a quiet "HMPH." Nearby, Krieg pirates tumble through the air amid massive SFX "ゴゴゴゴ" and screams of "A G H H H H!" Luffy shouts "ALRIGHT!" and calls "USOPP! GO ON AHEAD!" as Usopp is knocked back with a "WOAH!" On the Going Merry, Luffy points forward while gripping the rail, declaring "SO YOU MAKE SURE TO GET US A COOK!" "ZORO AND I'LL DEFINITELY BRING BACK NAMI!"

Luffy leans forward with a huge grin, shouting "LET'S!" as Usopp yells "YEAH!" beside him. In the next panel Usopp declares "LET'S HEAD TO GRAND LINE!" while Luffy adds "ONCE WE HAVE 5 PEOPLE IN OUR CREW!" The scene shifts to the Baratie dock. Sanji smokes with a scowl and mutters "DAMN PESTS." A wide shot shows the crew and cooks gathered as someone says "THEY'RE FINALLY COMING." Zeff stands on the bridge and answers "FINE, DO AS YOU WISH!" while a voice from the side pleads "HEY OLD MAN! IF I CHASE THEM AWAY FOR YOU, WILL YOU LET ME OFF THE HOOKI" Large sound effects "ゴォオオオ" rumble across the lower panels as the cooks watch the confrontation unfold.
