DUVAL'S TRAGEDY

A wounded swordsman with spiky hair sweats heavily and gasps "UGH...!!!" while clutching his side. Below, chaos erupts as a figure is hurled through debris with sound effects "ZUZUZU.." and "NULOOO....!!" amid "HAA HAA" breaths. A curly-haired skeleton fights flying fish creatures, shouting "DOWA!" as impacts land. Nearby allies call out: "TAKE IT EASY, BROOK..." "ALMOST ALL OF THE FLYING FISH ARE DOWN." "BUT... I NEED TO TAKE A LITTLE BREAK..." Brook replies "I FEEL AS IF MY LEGS ARE CRAMPING UP, EVEN THOUGH I DON'T HAVE ANY MUSCLES TO CRAMP!!" "I'M AT MY LIMIT--!!" "DUHAA!!" "YOHO!!!" and "HAA... HAA--!! AS LONG AS I WAS USEFUL....!!"

Zoro kneels and reassures "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT." while a voice notes "THAT'S NOT GOING TO MATTER AGAINST THESE FISH." and "ZORO... IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE STILL HURT." with a "CHNK..." sound. Close-ups show wide-eyed reactions and the declaration "SIX SWORD STYLE"!!" as a bird-like creature yells "NYUUU- YOU'RE BEING CARELESS, RORONOA!!" Hatchan reacts "NYUI OH, YEAHI NYUFU...". An enemy lunges yelling "DIE, FISH-MAN!!" with impact "ドギャッ!!" and a surprised "OH!!I". The octopus swordsman swings wildly, shouting "RIGHT, EXCUSE ME!!!" as the crew dodges with "!!I" and "OWAAAH!!!" amid flying debris and motion lines.

A massive explosion erupts across the docks as a spiky-haired figure reels from the blast. "LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE A LITTLE RUSTY." "M-MY LIFE FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES." "THANKS." The monstrous fish-man-like face of the attacker looms in close-up with wide eyes and bared teeth. On the ship deck a blonde woman snaps, "EHI" "FORM UP!!" "GO AT THEM ALL TOGETHER." The Flying Fish Riders launch into the air in formation. "ATTACK THEM IN AERIAL FORMATION!!!" Another voice echoes "EHI" From the deck below a rider shouts, "WOMEN, HUH!! IT'S A WASTE, BUT OUR ORDERS ARE TO KILL THEM ALL." A woman on the ship taunts back, "WILL YOU BE ABLE TO KILL USI COME ON." The riders close in as someone warns, "HERE THEY COME."

Luffy stares in shock as a sudden impact rocks the ship. "WHAT WAS THAT!!!" "OH!I" "NUHI" SFX "ズカ!ズカ!ズカ!!" erupts while a skeletal fish-like creature smashes through the deck. A rider screams "GYAAAAA AAHH!!!" Nami appears, declaring "MIRAGE TEMPO." "TOO BAD." She warns, "LOOK OUT FOR THOSE THUNDER-CLOUDS UP AHEAD." Below, she crosses her arms and activates "DOS MANOS." "CLUTCH"!!! as the rider is slammed, crying "BUHEH!!!"

The rider yells "DIAMOND"!!! while another attacks with "KOKUTEI". Bullets fail against the target as the crew shouts "BULLETS AREN'T WORKING!!!" and "UWAH!! WHAT'S WITH HIM!I" The blonde woman commands "DON'T BREAK FORMATION!!" A massive strike follows with SFX "ドレドレドレドーン!!" and the rider is hit by "STRONG HAMMER"!!! as he screams "DOWAAAH!!!"

A wide view shows the distant docks under attack with distant cries "わああああああ..." and "ドドドドドン!!" On the ship a spotted-hood figure says, "I WAS PLANNING ON GRABBING HACHI AND ESCAPING AS FAST AS WE COULD..." "I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE THIS STRONG..." The blonde woman cheers, "AMAZING!! YOU'RE ALL SO STRONG!!" "PAPPAGG!!" Franky grips the helm and yells, "FRANKY, PULL THE SHIP UP TO THE DOCK! WE'RE GIVING THEM AN ADVANTAGE AGAINST US BY JUST SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WATER!" A crewmate adds, "KNOWING THIS, THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE UPPER HAND! IT'S NOT LIKE THEY'LL JUST STOP ATTACKING WHILE WE MOVE THE SHIP!!" while another pants "HAA HAA".

Luffy leaps through the air as a massive impact shakes the area. "UWAAAH!!!" he cries out amid flying debris and motion lines. A huge roar echoes: "BUOOOOOOH!!" In the next panel the Straw Hats react in panic. "GET OUT OF HERE!! A HUGE GUY IS COMING!!" someone shouts. Luffy yells "LUFFY!" while another voice adds "THAT WAS CLOSE!" A large figure with an iron mask looms in the background. "A BIG GUY WITH AN IRON MASK!I" the crew exclaims. From the sea a deep call rings out: "THAT'S THE "MOTO-BARO'S" CALL!" "IT'S THE BOSS!!" The masked man stands tall as Luffy stares in shock from cover. "IT'S A COW!I" he blurts. "A MASKED MAN WITH A COW!!"

Something bursts from the wreckage. "SOMETHING CAME OUT!! WHAT IS THAT!I" a voice cries as debris flies. The masked rider roars "YOU BASTARDS, COMING IN HERE AND MAKING THIS MESS!!! BUOOOOOO....!!!" A massive armored bison charges forward, its eyes wide. "YOU'RE THE FLYING FISH RIDERS!!!" the crew realizes. The beast snorts "BUOH..." A label appears: "Duval's beloved bison Motobaro." The rider declares "YOU AIN'T MOSQUITOS OR FLIES!!!" and "AS LONG AS WE KILL THE STRAWHATS, WE WON'T BE NEEDING THIS BASE!!!" Another voice adds "HE WRECKED HIS OWN PLACE AND CAME OUT...!!!"

The armored figure points and shouts "IF YOU WANT TO ESCAPE, THEN GO WHEREVER THE HELL YOU WANT!!! GET OUT OF MY WAY!!! I HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH FISHMEN OR MERMAIDS!" His crew answers "WE'LL PULL THEM ALL INTO THE OCEAN RIGHT NOW... OUR DEEPEST APOLOGIES, BOSS!!!" The masked man growls "OF COURSE, BOSS!!!" and "YOU ALL KNOW THAT, DON'T YOU...!I" He continues "I HAVEN'T BEEN RUNNING THIS OPERATION BECAUSE I ENJOY IT!" Staring at the Thousand Sunny he rants "NOW HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES...!!! TODAY IS A GLORIOUS DAY...!!! THE MAN THAT I'VE WANTED TO KILL... THAT I'VE WANTED TO KILL SO BADLY THAT I SEE IT IN MY DREAMS...!!!" From the ship someone asks "IS HE TALKING ABOUT US OVER HEREI" The masked man finishes "I WILL KILL YOU, EVEN IF IT COMES DOWN TO STABBING YOU!!! THAT MAN WHO, ALL OF A SUDDEN, SENT ME TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL!!!"

Sanji stands with a cigarette, sweat on his brow. A voice bellows "PIRATE "BLACK LEG" SANJI!!!" Sanji reacts with "YOU," and "!I" The masked man continues "HIS ACCENT IS GETTING HEAVIER...!!! THIS IS BAD!" and "I'VE WANTED TO MEET YOU... FACE TO FACE..." On the Sunny the crew reacts. "YOU'RE GETTING WHAT YOU DESERVE." "THAT'S SO LONG AGO... WELL, I GOT INTO FIGHTS WITH PEOPLE ALL THE TIME BACK THEN." Sanji asks "SANJI!!! WHO IS THAT GUYI LOOKS LIKE HE'S GOT A GRUDGE AGAINST YOU!!" Nami wonders "ME...!I" while another voice says "DON'T BE ANY MORE TROUBLE. THAT GUY'S SCARY." Usopp adds "IS HE SOMEONE FROM YOUR TIME AT THE RESTAURANTI THINK BACK." The masked man finishes "THAT GUY WANTS TO KILL ME...!I"

A massive mechanical bull-headed construct lunges forward with grinding gears and pipes, its eyes glowing as it unleashes a barrage. "THIS JUST HAPPENED RECENTLY!!!" someone yells. "DON'T JUST SIT THERE AND SPACE OUT, BLACK LEG!!!" Harpoons fire wildly with sharp SFX "ビカチャカチャカチャカ!!!" and "ビビビビ". "HARPOONS!!!" a voice warns. "LOOK OUT! TAKE COVER!!!" The harpoons are revealed to be coated in scorpion poison: "THESE HARPOONS ARE DOSED WITH SCORPION POISON!!! JUST A SCRATCH AND YOU'LL BE DEAD IN THREE MINUTES!!!" Reactions mix confusion and alarm: "SOMETHING RECENT!I THIS IS GETTING MORE CONFUSING!" and "...WAIT!! THERE'S SOMETHING WEIRD ABOUT THESE HARPOONS!" SFX like "JAKIN!!" and "SHUU" punctuate the chaos as figures scramble for cover.

Sanji sweats heavily in close-up, eyes narrowed. The ruined town backdrop emphasizes the destruction as the mask clatters away with SFX "ガラン" and "ガラシャ".

IF THE MARINES OR BOUNTY HUNTERS SAW THE MAN ON THIS POSTER, THEY WOULDN'T JUST WALK BY!!" A massive "ばん!!" impact hits as he clutches the poster. "BUT FINDING YOU... WAS TOO DIFFICULT... BECAUSE THE FACE ON THE WANTED POSTER WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE REAL MAN'S FACE...!!!" The crew reacts in the background with sounds like "ドタドタ" and "ガタガタ". Sanji is called out: "HEY, SANJI, WHERE ARE YOUI" as chaos erupts on the dock with "ZABAH!!" and impact effects.

Duval continues his rant in flashbacks: "... EVEN THE MARINE HEADQUARTERS... STARTED COMING AFTER ME!!!" "DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE FEAR I FELT AT SUDDENLY HAVING PEOPLE AFTER MY HEAD!I" "FAMOUS BOUNTY HUNTERS WERE TRYING TO KILL ME!" He pleads, "GIVE ME MY LIFE BACK!!!" and "JUST WHAT DID I DO!!I" A massive impact SFX "ドゴォォン!!" erupts as Duval screams in anguish, tears pouring down. "HOW SHOULD I KNOW!!!I" The Straw Hats react with shock; Nami is struck with "バキッ!!" and "BOBEH!!!" Duval wails, "I'M NOT EVEN A PIRATE!!! I DON'T KNOW THAT GUY!!! YOU'RE WRONG!!!"
