Explosions rock the island of Ohara. Marines and scholars react in panic as shells strike the buildings. "OOOWAH!!!" "WHAT!I" "WHAT'S THAT BOMBARDMENT!I" A narration box states: "THE RESEARCH OF OHARA'S SCHOLARS". Massive blasts erupt near the giant Tree of Knowledge. "THIS KNOWLEDGE CAN BE TRANSMITTED. THEREFORE, WE MUST NOT LET ANY OF THEM GET AWAY FROM THAT ISLAND." "HAS GONE WELL BEYOND OUR IMAGINATION." "HURRY THE EVACUATION SHIP!" Ships fire relentlessly while smoke and debris fill the air.

A massive cannon fires with the cry "IN THE NAME OF JUSTICE!!!" and "OBLITERATE THE DEMONS OF OHARA". On the ground, a tall man in a dark coat shouts "WHAT'S GOING ON!I WE'RE NOT OFF THE ISLAND YET! ARE THEY TRYING TO KILL US, TOO!I" Nearby figures yell "SHIT! WHAT'S THAT!I" and "WHOA!!". Panicked civilians and scholars run as blasts continue. "IT'S DEFINITELY THE WAR FORCE OF THE HEADQUARTERS!!" "SHIT, WHY DO THEY HAVE TO GO THIS FAR!I" "THEY'VE DIRECTED THEIR ATTACKS AT OMNISCIENCE, TOO!!!" "HOW FOOLISH!!!"

A stern man with a mustache declares "LET'S GO!! BUT, WHEN YOU'RE IN DOUBT, IT'S BETTER TO GET RID OF HER!! REMEMBER THAT FACE. DON'T LET HER OFF OF THIS ISLAND." Another replies "YEAH...!!! SHE DID SAY THAT. I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S TRUE OR NOT. CHIEF, THAT KID... SHE SAID SHE'S AN ARCHAEOLOGIST..." A woman identified in dialogue as Olivia stands nearby. Chaos erupts as people shout "WHAT'S GOING ON!I WHY DID FIRE THEY ALREADY!I" "EVERYONE, RETREAT!! GET BACK TO YOUR SHIPS!!!" "IF WE STAY HERE, WE'LL GET KILLED, TOO!!!" "MY LIFE IS WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT!!" A bearded scholar yells "PROTECT THE TREE OF OMNI-SCIENCE!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FIRE ON THE LIBRARY!!!" while a cloaked figure stands over the kneeling Olivia. "SHHH..."

Young Robin stares in shock with tears, "...!!!" while Olivia smiles faintly beside her, "...I" A large hand grips another in close-up as silhouettes of three figures walk away on stone. Explosions erupt across the sky with massive sound effects "ドゴォーン ズドォーン!!!" A lone figure kneels before the blast, declaring "I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THIS." Robin cries out desperately, "MOM...!!!" as she lunges forward and embraces Olivia tightly on the grass, both girls sobbing. Olivia holds her close, whispering "ALWAYS..." with a gentle, tear-streaked smile.

Saul's massive back faces the burning island as he asks, "IS IT TRUE THAT YOU CAN READ PONEGLYPHS!I" and laments, "IF ONLY I HAD KNOWN THIS SOONER!!!" Olivia's voice echoes, "IT'S ALL MY FAULT... ROBIN!!!" Saul appears furious, "...!!!!" Robin and Olivia kneel together; Robin admits, "YOU'RE ABLE TO READ THEM." Olivia replies, "I'M VERY SURPRISED THAT" and "I'M SORRY... I... I REALLY WANTED..." Robin weeps as Olivia gently touches her head, "IT'S NOT AN EASY THING TO DO..." and proudly declares, "I'M SO PROUD OF YOU, ROBIN!!" while asking, "YOU STUDIED HARD, DIDN'T YOUI"

Olivia pleads with Saul, "OLIVIA... RUN AWAY WITH ROBIN!!!" and urges him to sneak Robin onto the evacuation ship. Saul's face twists in pain, "...!!!" and he roars "EEEEEEN!!!" A giant bearded man in a black coat bursts onto the scene, "YE'R HERE!! I WAS LOOKIN' FOR YA!!!" Robin looks up in shock, "SAUL!!!" Saul reaches toward her with massive hands amid the chaos, while a close-up shows Robin's tear-filled eyes and Saul's determined face asking, "SO, YA FOUND OLIVIA, TOO, HUH!I"

Saul shouts urgently, "FORGET 'BOUT DAT! DA SITUATION'S REALLY SERIOUS!! YA HAFTA GET OFFA DA ISLAND!!!" explaining the ship was lost and he was rescued. Robin stares in disbelief, "SAUL...!!! WHY ARE YOU ON THIS ISLAND!!I" Saul insists, "TAKE MY DAUGHTER...!!! TAKE HER AWAY FROM THIS ISLAND!!!" and "TAKE CARE OF ROBIN FOR ME!!!" Robin cries, "NO...! WHAT ABOUT YOU, MOM!I AREN'T YOU COMING WITH ME!I" Olivia smiles sadly, "I... I STILL HAVE THINGS TO DO HERE." Saul looks pained as Robin clings to her mother, refusing to be separated.

In the burning ruins of Ohara, a giant figure stands amid the flames as young Robin watches. A voice declares, "HISTORY" IS... AN ASSET TO HUMANITY. I'M SURE IT WILL SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE FUTURE THAT YOU'LL BE LIVING. Another warns, ROBIN, IF YOU ARE A SCHOLAR OF OHARA, YOU SHOULD KNOW IT WELL. Amid collapsing shelves, scholars shout PROTECT THE BOOKS!! PUT OUT THE FIRE!! while one insists IT'S NOT THAT OHARA WANTED TO REVEAL THE HISTORY. WE JUST WANTED TO HEAR THE VOICES FROM THE PAST AND PROTECT THEM...! A figure points, THAT YOU'VE INHERITED FROM THE PAST, OTHERWISE IT'LL DISAPPEAR. BUT YOU HAVE TO PASS ON THE HISTORY. The Tree of Knowledge blazes as Saul's voice booms, BUT EVEN IF OHARA PERISHES, OUR RESEARCH WILL END HERE. Robin stares in horror, sweat and tears visible, with sound effects ゴォォォ and ドゴォ echoing the destruction.

Young Robin's face fills the frame, bruised and tear-streaked, as she smiles faintly and says THAT YOU'LL BE LIVING IN!!! WE SHOULDN'T GIVE UP ON THE FUTURE. A scarred man growls YOU'LL UNDERSTAND IT ONE DAY while another yells I DUN GED ID!!!....!!! Saul's massive form looms as Robin screams NO, I'LL STAY HERE!! MOM!!!... YA SURE!I Saul reaches out, NOW, PLEASE GO! SAUL!! with impact lines and sweat drops emphasizing the desperate farewell.

Saul carries a massive load of books through explosions and smoke, MOOOOM!!! ringing out. A voice states FROM NOW ON, LIVE YOUR LIFE. I'M HAPPY THAT YOU CALLED ME THAT... THANK YOU. Robin cries out in anguish, tears streaming, TO THE FULLEST FOR ME, ROBIN!!! A cloaked figure watches silently as Saul's silhouette fades into the distance amid the burning island, with sound effects ゴォォォ marking the chaos.

On a Marine ship, sailors shout I ALREADY ASKED YOU, WHAT!!I SPEAK UP!!! ON THE ISLAND... YUP, NO DOUBT... WHAT!!I VICE ADMIRAL!! VICE ADMIRAL KUZAN! A Marine with binoculars reports Eh... STOP!!! The one who deserted is there!!! VICE ADMIRAL SAUL,!I Marines panic as the ship fires cannons, ゴォォォ and ズドドド ringing out. One yells DEY'RE NOT DOSE VIOLENT PIRATES!!! ARE YA GUYS SO WEAK DAT YA CAN'T EVEN HOLD 'EM DOWN!!I BUT THEY RESISTED... CAPTURIN' 'EM WOULDA BEEN FINE!!! STOP!! YA DON'T HAFTA KILL 'EM!!!

Amid the wreckage of Ohara, a voice laments, "BUT I STILL DUN GET WHY DEY HAFTA DIE." On the sea, a Marine ship reports, "WE'VE CAPTURED MANY INVESTIGATION SHIPS IN DA PAST." A battered young woman with long blonde hair pants heavily, "HAA... HAA..." as she glares forward. Vice Admiral Saul looms with a stern face, asking, "DO YA REALLY WANT DA WEAPONSI" An enraged giant bellows, "HOW DARE YOU! HURTING MY NAKAMA...!!" while others shout, "VICE ADMIRAL SAUL!! THERE'S ONE SURVIVOR!!" and "PITIFUL PEOPLE...!!!" In a flashback, a figure states, "IT'S A TOP-SECRET MISSION. THAT'S RIGHT. BECOME ONE OF THE FIVE VICE ADMIRALS. THAT WILL LEAD TO WARSHIPS, SAUL." Saul's massive back bears the word "MARINE" as the words "BUSTER CALL" echo. He roars, "YOU'RE JUST AFRAID OF A PAST THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT!!" and "YOU'VE BEEN MINDLESSLY PUNISHING US...!!!" A Marine cries, "HEY, HE'S THE VICE ADMIRAL!!" while another adds, "WITHOUT EVER DOUBTING THE LAW, CLAIMING THAT YOU JUST WANT TO PREVENT THE PRODUCTION OF THE WEAPONS...!!!"

Spandine snarls, "GIMME PROOF DAT DEY'RE COMPLETELY 'EVIL'!!!" Saul shouts back, "IT'S US WHO'RE TAKIN' AWAY LIVES AT EVERY SCENE!!!" and "SIMPLY WANTED TO UNDERSTAND DA HISTORY!!!" He continues, "IF DA RESEARCH IS DAT DANGEROUS, WHY DUN DA GOVERNMENT HELP 'EM, TOOI" Spandine retorts, "ARE YOU DOUBTING THE GOVERNMENT...I SHUT UP AND JUST FOLLOW ORDERS!!" Saul demands, "TELL ME YOUR STORY" as the young woman stares silently with "..." A cloaked figure kneels, replying, "FOR A BIT." In the present, Spandine yells, "CAPTURE THEM!! CAPTURE SAUL AND OLIVA AT ANY COST!!! YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO SHOOT THEM!!!" while announcing, "VICE ADMIRAL SAUL TOOK THE CRIMINAL AND FLED!!! EMERGENCY!!!" and "HE KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MISSION."

Marine warships surge forward with "ドドド" sound effects as one declares, "WE HAVE PURSUERS." Saul says, "I'LL TAKE CARE OF 'EM." In conversation, Saul states, "I JUS' FOLLOW'D MUH OWN SENSE O' JUSTICE..." and "EVEN IF IT'S KEEPIN' WIT DA LAW, DIS MISSION IS TOO TYRANNICAL." The young woman replies, "S'OKAY... I CAN'T STAY IN DA MARINES" and "SAUL... YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO RETURN TO THE MILITARY." Saul tells her, "WELL... GO BACK TO YER HOMETOWN AN' TELL YER PEOPLE 'BOUT IT, OLIVIA." A massive Buster Call cannon fires with "DERESHI-SHISHI!!!" and "GET THEM!!!" Saul waves goodbye, "I WON'T SAY THANK YOU. I WISH YOU GOOD LUCK!!!" as the young woman watches with a serious expression.

A massive explosion erupts with "ズドドドォーン" as Saul is blasted upward. Voices scream, "SAUL!! GO BACK, PLEASE!!!" "NO, WE CAN'T DO DAT!!!" "NOO-OOO! DEY'RE AIMIN' AT ME!!" and "FIRE!!!" The island of Ohara burns under cannon fire. A young girl with dark hair cries out, "ROBIN!!! BE PROUD, ROBIN!!! YER MOM IS HONORABLE!!! OHARA IS HONORABLE!!!" while clutching a bag and shouting, "EEEEN!!" Saul's giant face fills the frame, sweat pouring down as he declares, "OHARA FOUGHT DA WORLD!!! PASS ON DA HISTORY OF DIS ISLAND SUMDAY, ROBIN!!"

A massive explosion erupts as a giant fist slams down, sending debris flying. Robin stares in shock, eyes wide, while nearby a figure reacts with surprise. "AHI" "!!I" The impact shakes the ground violently. "CUR!!" Below, Saul's massive form looms amid smoke and rubble. A voice calls out, "DATS IT, HUHI ALL DA WAY FROM DA SHORE..." Saul turns, apologizing, "!! SORRY, ROBIN... DID DAT SCARE YAI" Another figure worries, "HOW WUD DEY ATONE IF ROBIN GOT HURT...!I" Saul pants heavily, "HAA... HAA... WAIT HERE FOR A WHILE." Marines react in panic as the blast hits, "W... WHOA!! IT HIT!!" "I'M SOR-RY!" Saul shouts desperately, "SAUL!!!" A stern voice commands, "DON'T APOLOGIZE!! HE'S AN ACCOMPLICE OF EVIL NOW!!!" SFX rumble with "ゴチャ..."

A massive ship tilts wildly through the air amid crashing waves and debris. "GYAAH!" "!!!" The vessel smashes down with tremendous force. Saul stands firm in the surf, declaring, "I WON'T LET YA GET AWAY...!!!" Robin cries out in terror, "SAUL!!!" "STOP IT!!!" From the wreckage, voices plead, "DON'T DO ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT...!!! WAIT, ARE YOU INSANE!!I" "OOWAAAH!! PLEASE STOP IT, VICE ADMIRAL!!! WHAT'RE YOU DOING!!I" Saul roars back, "BUT I'LL JUS' PROTECT MUH FRIEND...!!!" "...I DUNNO WAT DA JUSTICE IS NOW" A final stand: "BE READY... IF YA MAKE ME YER ENEMY..."
