Luffy vs. Vivi

A close-up shows a bandaged man with a striped cloak asking, "Could you hold up for a sec...I" while another voice replies, "About this operation utopia," amid large SFX "ゴォ...". The scene shifts to a grand, flooded banquet hall with chandeliers and a staircase where a woman in a white dress and hat stands surprised. She exclaims, "How did you get in here!I" as a close-up of Mr. 3's stitched face reacts with "Mr. 3!I" and SFX "ギロ..." and "くぅっ". Water covers the floor as tension fills the room.

Mr. 2 explains, "I hitched onto the back of Banchi's carriage, you see... I've been trailing you ever since at Spider's Cafe, you know...I" while Mr. 3 demands, "Where did I 'spring fromI' How rude..." Mr. 2 shouts, "LET HIM TALK, MR. 2!" and "MR. 3! WHERE DID YOU SPRING FROM!I" Mr. 3 retorts, "I WAS CERTAIN I FINISHED YOU OFF!" In the hall, Mr. 2 continues, "After failing to carry out my mission, it's only natural that you'd seek to eliminate me... But that is precisely why I then headed for Spider's Cafe, the meeting place for officer agents..." A woman bows, saying, "A pleasure to meet you for the first time, boss... I've come here in hopes of being given a second chance, you see..." Mr. 3 adds, "And the Straw hat pirates... Like I was saying, I failed to eliminate Princess Vivi." Mr. 2 questions, "What're you talking about!I" as Mr. 3 accuses, "You failed... To carry out your orders...I"

Mr. 2 yells in shock, "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THEY'RE STILL ALIVE!I" and "YOU DIDN'T KILL THEM!I" Mr. 3 presses, "You told me over the phone that Vivi and the pirates had been taken care of!" Mr. 2 responds, "Then what the hell was that denden-mushi call about!I" Mr. 3 hesitates, "Umm..." A flashback shows a transponder snail call with voices saying, "Would you like to make a reservationI" and "Hello, this is the shitty restaurant." Mr. 2 reacts with "WHAT!" and "!I" while Mr. 3 insists, "Denden-mushi call!I I'm afraid I don't followI I never used the denden-mushi while on Little Garden, you know!" Confusion and anger erupt in the ruined hall.

Inside a lavish room, Miss All Sunday sits with arms crossed while Crocodile listens from his chair. A voice explains, "I see... Now I understand why the Unluckies never returned..." Crocodile puffs his cigar as another agent reports, "But you did manage to kill off at least one or two of them, right...I" The stitched-face agent reacts in shock, "WHATI" The subordinate continues nervously, "Well, umm... No, because-" Suddenly the bandaged Mr. 3 bursts in, pleading, "W-WAIT! BOSS, WOULD YOU MIND EXPLAINING TO ME THE DETAILS BEHIND MR. 3'S FAILED MISSION!I" Crocodile glares, "YOU LITTLE PIECE OF-" Mr. 3 panics, "T-there were actually 4 pirates in the Straw-hat crew! I uhh... I was unaware of the pirate with this I-long nose, you see... Y-you see, there was an error with the intelligence given to me prior to!"

A massive explosion erupts as a giant crocodile-like entity smashes through a structure amid "オオオオオ" roars and impact effects. Mr. 3's face fills the panel, sweat pouring as he shouts, "I MET THEM!" and "I..." The scene shifts to a chaotic overhead view of the Straw Hats battling agents on a tilting platform with bubbles and debris flying. A hand holds up four wanted posters as Mr. 3 declares, "THEN I DEFINITELY MET THEM!" and "IF YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE," revealing portraits of Nami, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji.

Five close-up panels show the Straw Hats with "カシャ" shutter sounds: Chopper, Usopp, Nami, Zoro, and Luffy each flash on screen as Mr. 3 identifies them one by one, "AND THIS THING! AND HIM! AND HER! AND HIM! I MET HIM!" Crocodile's face twists in fury, "These people were my enemies all along!I" A subordinate confirms, "AND MISS WEDNESDAY, A.K.A. PRINCESS VIVI!!" Crocodile orders, "Mr. 2, use your memory skill to get those faces you just showed onto photos..." while noting, "They'll become a thorn in our sides if we leave them alone." Another agent adds, "Leaving their little pet aside, that makes 5 people including Vivi."

Crocodile's fist smashes into Mr. 3's face with a massive "ドガッ" impact, yelling "SHUT UP, YOU INCOMPETENT BUFFOON!" Mr. 3 begs desperately, "PLEASE, BOSS! I SWEAR TO YOU THAT THIS TIME I'LL FINISH THEM OFF," while Crocodile retorts, "IF YOU GIVE ME A 2ND CHA-" Crocodile continues coldly, "Despite the fact that you're inferior to Mr. 4 in terms of combat ability!I Do you know why I made you Mr. 3." Mr. 3 is sent flying as Crocodile explains, "It's because I assumed your cowardly but cunning ways would help you achieve success! You disappoint me... There's nothing more worthless than someone who can't pull through when it matters the most...!" Miss All Sunday and others watch in shock as Mr. 3 screams, "W-what's happening to him!I He's drying up...! AGHHH!"

A man in glasses and a checkered coat looms over a small creature, saying, "Drink as much water as you like..." In the flooded hall, a striped figure crawls desperately, gasping "WATER... W... WATER..." The striped man suddenly lunges forward with a wild expression, shouting "GAAHHH!" as he attacks. "AGH!" he cries while being struck. A tall figure in a long coat knocks on a door labeled "KNOCK KNOCK" and declares, "It's meal time..." The striped man is hurled through the air with a loud "GOF!" and crashes violently, "DUN...!!"

The striped man floats in a vast underwater space, wondering, "I'm... UNDERWATERI W-WHERE AM I...I" Strange fish swim past as he questions, "WHAT IS THIS, A FISH TANKI" Back in the flooded hall, the tall figure stands with the striped man now transformed into a banana-like creature. The striped man yells in shock, "IT'S A... BANANA-DILE!" while a large reptilian creature looms nearby with a growl, "GRRR..."

At a long table, subordinates react angrily: "Killing him once isn't enough!" and "That damned idiot...!" Crocodile slams the table, declaring their objective is to stop the rebellion and that he wants everyone to etch the Straw Hats' faces into their brains. He notes, "And Kouza, leader of the rebels, were close childhood friends" with Princess Nefertari Vivi. Subordinates debate: "Do you really think one little girl can stop the rebelsI" and "Even if the princess were free to do as she wanted. But Zero..." Crocodile concludes, "We can't afford to let those two meet...! There's a good chance she'll cause the rebels to hesitate... Even if she can't stop the swarm of 700,000 rebels."

Crocodile smokes his cigar and states, "We have to ensure it stays that way by keeping Vivi away from the rebels! Many of our Billions have already infiltrated the rebel forces. The fact that I haven't received any updates from them yet means that Vivi and the Straw-hat pirates have yet to take decisive action...!" Ms. All Sunday reports to him, "I don't care if you have to use a denden-mushi. Just get the word out to the Billions stationed in Nanohana as soon as you can. That they are to kill Vivi and the Straw-hat pirates on sight!" Crocodile slams his fist down, roaring, "AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, VIVI CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO MEET KOUZA! THEY CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER KATOREA NO MATTER WHAT!"

Inside a lavish candlelit hall, Crocodile sits at the head of a long table while his Baroque Works officers stand around him. A woman with curly hair declares, "Our Utopia awaits just ahead!" Crocodile replies coldly, "Now get going, the rest of you. Or our 'celebrations' will be delayed..." Miss All Sunday, wearing a wide hat and fur-trimmed coat, answers with eyes closed, "As you wish..." In a close-up, Crocodile puffs on his cigar, smoke curling around his stitched face as he warns, "And I hope for your sakes that you won't cause me any trouble unlike a certain someone...!" The officers bow and pledge loyalty: "We'll bring you success no matter what!" and "You can count on us, boss..." Crocodile exhales a thick cloud of smoke and says, "GOOD. THEN ENJOY YOURSELVES..." as the panel fades on his bandaged hand holding the cigar.

In the vast desert under a blazing sun, the Straw Hats confront Luffy. Sanji shouts, "HEY LUFFY! WE'VE GOT NO TIME TO PLAY ALONG WITH ONE OF YOUR WHIMS RIGHT NOW!" Luffy snaps back, "Luffy, what're you talkin' about!I" A distant voice yells, "YOU QUIT!I" The crew gathers near a lone tree and their camels. Vivi, wrapped in a dark cloak, cries, "This is all to help Vivi! Did you forget already!I" Usopp explains, "You do realize we're trying to stop a huge civil war involving a million combatants that's going to start any time now, right!I" Sanji adds, "We have to head to Katorea 'cause that's where the rebels are!" Nami agrees, "Yeah, that's right." Chopper asks, "Well we're going back, aren't weI" Vivi turns away and mutters, "I dun' wanna." Luffy stares at her in shock as she asks, "What is itI" then whispers, "...Vivi." Vivi suddenly shouts, "YOU WHAT!I"

Luffy's eyes widen with fierce determination as he declares, "I WANT TO KICK CROCODILE'S ASS!" Vivi gasps in alarm. The crew stands in the empty desert while Luffy continues, "Even if we go with you to the rebel base, there's nothing we can do." Nami adds, "Even if you manage to stop the rebels, do you think Crocodile will just stop...I" Sanji notes, "We're pirates, after all. In fact, it's better if we're not there at all." Vivi looks devastated. The group exchanges uneasy glances; Usopp mutters, "Well, that's..." while someone thinks, "I'm surprised an idiot like him can still hit the bull's-eye at times..." and another says, "Yeah, you said it."

Vivi stands with the crew in the desert as voices argue around her. Someone says, "Rebels, and even us! The citizens. You think things will be just fine as long as nobody dies." Luffy retorts, "In your mind." Vivi fires back, "Don't you think that's naiveI" Luffy insists, "You're still hoping for everyone to be all right! In the midst of civil war involving a million people, even though you're up against one of the Royal Shichibukai." Vivi looks pained. Luffy presses on, "...People die. What's exactly wrong with wishing for no one to die!I So what if that's the case!I" Nami grabs Luffy and yells, "Luffy! You're not thinking of Vivi's feelings at a-" while someone else shouts, "Nami, wait! Let him finish."

Vivi glares furiously at Luffy, shouting, "THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M TRYING SO HARD TO PREVENT!" Luffy roars back with intense rage, "DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT TO ME AGAIN OR I WON'T FORGIVE YOU!" as impact lines and "UGH!" erupt from their clash. Vivi demands, "THEN WHY THE HELL ARE YOU WILLINGLY PUTTING YOUR OWN LIFE AT RISK!I" Luffy counters that the only one at fault is Crocodile, while the rebels, royalist forces, and citizens did nothing wrong and should not die. Vivi presses on about what needs to be done most in the country. Luffy snaps, "WHAT DID YOU SAY!I" and Vivi retorts, "EVEN I CAN TELL FROM A SINGLE GLANCE, LUFFY, YOU SON OF A-" as Usopp yells, "HEY LUFFY! YOU'RE GOING TOO FAR!" with heavy motion lines and impact effects filling the panels.

Vivi cries out, "I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO RI-" while Luffy declares, "I will... Never forgive that man!" Vivi questions, "THEN WHAT ELSE CAN I RISK!I" and challenges, "YOU THINK RISKING YOUR LIFE ALONE IS GONNA BE ENOUGH!I" noting Yuba will never be defeated by sand. Luffy yells, "I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!" and insists, "YOU COULD AT THE VERY LEAST RISK OUR LIVES TOO!" Vivi stands shocked with tears, "!!!I" and "I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!" echoing. In later panels Usopp sobs heavily, "You still do have some tears left in you," while Vivi smiles gently and says, "I'll stop the rebels no matter what!" as distant figures sit in the desert with the line, "...So you were hiding it all along, weren't you...I"

Usopp, still emotional, asks Vivi, "You're the one who most wants to beat him up, right...I" as the group sits in the desert with camels and distant figures. The narration notes, "Truth be told,". Close-up portraits show Sanji, Usopp in his hat, a headband-wearing man, a bandaged figure, and Vivi looking serious. Luffy leans forward intensely in his straw hat, demanding with wide eyes, "TELL ME WHERE CROCODILE IS...!" and "SO TELL ME..."
