Tony Tony Chopper Enters

In a raging blizzard, Usopp lies half-buried in snow while Vivi desperately pulls him with a rope, shouting “COME ON, USOPP, HANG IN THERE!” as SFX “ヒュオオオ” and “ずるずる...” echo. Usopp groans “NGHHH!” and “HUFF HUFF...”. Suddenly Usopp hallucinates, exclaiming “I CAN SEE A FLOWERBED AND RIVER SO BEAUTIFUL. THEY LOOK LIKE THEY BELONG IN HEAVEN...” while Vivi slaps him repeatedly with “WAKE UP, USOPP! IF YOU FALL ASLEEP NOW, YOU'LL DIE!” and “AGHH!” and “かぼーん!!”. Usopp replies dreamily, “MMN... DON'T WAKE ME UP NOW, VIVI. I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A GOOD DREAM...”

Vivi continues slapping Usopp while yelling “USOOOOO-OOOPP!” and “NOOOO! YOU CAN'T DIE, USOPP!” Usopp mumbles “MN... GATHER AROUND, USOPP PIRATES...” and thanks Vivi: “THANKS FOR SAVING ME BACK THERE, VIVI.” Vivi responds “AND I'M GLAD TOO THAT YOU'RE ALIVE.” They stand up; Vivi notes the freezing island while Usopp denies frostbite. A curly-haired man in a dark coat asks if his face looks swollen. Suddenly a massive impact SFX “ガバボーン” and “ボン” erupts as something crashes nearby, prompting “WHOA, WHAT'S THAT!I”

Sanji emerges from snow, covered in ice, grumbling “A RANDOM AVALANCHE ON TOP OF THIS FREEZING COLDI TALK ABOUT A BAD STROKE OF LUCK...” and “AGH, FOR THE LOVE OF...” while shivering “BRRR”. In the distance Vivi spots a figure and calls “ZOROI” while Usopp shouts “VIVI!” Zoro appears and demands “WHAT'RE YOU DOING OUT HERE!I” The curly-haired man and Vivi react with surprise as the group reunites amid chattering teeth SFX “かちかち”.

The group trudges through the snowy forest, still lost. Usopp complains, "OH HELL NO. WHATEVER, JUST LEND ME YOUR COAT, USOPP." Sanji retorts, "HOW STUPID COULD YOU GET!I" Usopp continues, "BUT THEN AFTERWARDS, I GOT LOST SO I STARTED WALKING IN ONE DIRECTION AND BEFORE I KNEW IT, I WAS LOST IN THIS FOREST." Sanji adds, "YEAH, AND I SURPRISINGLY SAW SOME FISH SWIMMING IN THE FREEZING RIVER, SO I THOUGHT IT'D BE COOL TO CHASE AFTER IT. ICE-WATER SWIMMING!I" A large sound effect echoes: "ヒュウウ…" Sanji wonders aloud about Nami's condition: "I WONDER IF NAMI'S ILLNESS HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH MENTAL STRESS AND EXHAUSTION FROM DEALING WITH HER CREWMATES…" Zoro appears, saying "TOUGH LUCK, BUDDY." Usopp points excitedly, "LOOK!" The scene shifts to a snowy village with round-roofed houses. The girl exclaims, "AH, YOU'RE RIGHT! THEN THAT MEANS… WE'RE AT BIGHORN VILLAGE!" Usopp notes, "HEY, THOSE HOUSES LOOK FAMILIAR…" She continues, "WE MUST'VE COME BACK TO WHERE WE STARTED!" A voice observes, "THERE'S A WHOLE GROUP OF PEOPLE GATHERED THERE!"

Chaos erupts in the village square. Villagers shout, "WHAT!I DALTON WAS…!" "BUT THESE BASTARDS WON'T LET US DIG HIM OUT OF THERE!" "THE AVALANCHE BURIED DALTON!" "WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YOU AND YOUR HALF-NAKED BODY!I" "YO, WHAT'S GOING ON!I" Wapol's armored subordinates surround the area. One declares, "ANY WHO GOES AGAINST HIS MAJESTY'S WILL IS AS GOOD AS DEAD!" Another yells, "WE'RE SERVANTS TO ONE MAN ONLY, AND THAT'S KING WAPOL!" A third adds, "AND YOU'RE HIS FORMER SUBORDINATES, DON'T YOU HAVE THAT MUCH COMPASSION!I" Wapol himself roars, "AS IF DALTON COULD DIE THAT EASILY! BEAT IT, PEASANTS! DALTON'S ALREADY DEAD SO DEAL WITH IT!" He laughs maniacally, "IF YOU'VE GOT ANY COMPLAINTS, FEEL FREE TO STEP FORTH! OR DO YOU NOT EVEN HAVE THAT MUCH COURAGE NOW THAT YOUR PRECIOUS DALTON'S DEADI HAHAHAHA!" Usopp and the others watch from the side. Usopp asks, "WELL, AM I RIGHT!I ARE THEY ENEMIES OR NOT!I" The girl replies, "UH YEAH, THEY'RE ENEMIES BUT I DON'T SEE WHAT YOU'RE SO IMPATIENT ABOUT…" Usopp continues, "SO THEN THEY'RE ENEMIES." A voice answers, "UH, YEAH…" Usopp recognizes them: "THOSE GUYS WERE THE ONES WE MET ON THE SEA SOME TIME AGO, RIGHTI"

A sudden attack sends a soldier flying. The man crashes with a loud impact, "NGHH!" and "!!I" Zoro stands ready. Villagers panic, "HEY, YOU! STOP OR THEY'LL…" "!!" "WHO!I" "MR. BUSHIDO!" The girl cries, "WHA!" Zoro glares, "THESE GUYS JUST NEVER LEARN, DO THEY…" A soldier shouts, "YOU ATTACKED US JUST FOR THAT!I" Wapol's man yells, "GREAT, NOW YOU'VE GONE AND PISSED ALL OF 'EM OFF… KILL HIM!" Another soldier laughs wildly, "AHAHAHA! MAN, THIS IS WARM!" The fight breaks out in the snowy square as the crowd reacts in shock.

Snow falls gently over a massive, multi-turreted castle perched on a cliff. Large sound effects drift through the air: "ヒュオオオオ…" and "オオオオ…" A voice asks, "OH, IS THAT SOI" From inside, the Doctress states, "I'VE DETECTED AN ANTIBODY REACTION." Another voice responds, "THEN TELL ME, WHAT'S THE CAUSEI" The Doctress replies, "ALRIGHT, I'LL LEAVE THE TREATMENT TO YOU. KESTIA." The grand castle stands silhouetted against the snowy sky as the conversation continues.

In a cluttered stone laboratory filled with bubbling flasks, mechanical arms, and shelves of books, a bubbling cauldron releases steam labeled "BOIL BOIL..." while a skull-shaped lamp reads "BUBBLE BUBBLE". A small reindeer-like figure wearing a top hat and carrying a sack walks steadily across the checkered floor with the sound "WALK WALK". In the foreground, a blonde girl lies in bed with sweat drops, her eyes half-open as grinding and tapping sounds echo: "GRIND GRIND TAP" and "GRIND GRIND... OPEN".

The reindeer figure in the top hat continues walking across the room, tapping the floor with "TAP" as motion lines and "77" effects trail behind. Suddenly he startles violently with a large "ACK!" and flailing limbs. The blonde girl sits upright in bed, alarmed, shouting "WHO'S THEREI" as impact lines and sound effects "カシャア!!!" and "バキバキドガシャーン" erupt around both characters in close-up panels showing their shocked faces.

The reindeer figure peeks nervously through a doorway, sweat drops flying as he says "UMM... I THINK YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO IT THE OTHER WAY." The blonde girl, seen from behind, replies with a question mark and "A LITTLE TOO LATE FOR THAT NOW..." while asking "JUST WHAT ARE YOUI" and noting she can still see half his face. The figure panics with a huge "GYAA-AAAAA!" and "IT TALKED!", yelling "Y-YOU DARNED HUMAN!" and "SHUT UP!" as he demands to know how the fever is while motion lines and impact sounds fill the panels.

A tall, grinning woman with long hair and a revealing outfit pokes the blonde girl's forehead with a thermometer while holding a large bottle labeled "UMARU JUICE". She laughs "HEE HEE HEE HEE!" and remarks "LOOKS LIKE YOUR FEVER'S GONE DOWN QUITE A BIT, MISSY. YOU HAPPY, PAPPYI" The girl notes "38.3°C... NOT BAD..." The tall woman introduces herself with a close-up smile: "BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME 'DOCTRESS.' I'M DR. KUREHA." She continues, "YOU WANT TO KNOW THE SECRET OF MY YOUTHI DOCTORI THEN THIS IS..." while the girl looks on in surprise. The woman adds "NO, I NEVER ASKED. THIS IS THE CASTLE ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN."

In a stone room with a large window, a small figure darts across the floor while two people sleep in the next room. A voice notes, "YEAH, THEY'RE SLEEPING SOUNDLY IN THE ROOM NEXT DOOR. REAL TOUGH BOYS, THOSE TWO." The doctor leans over Nami in bed, pointing at a bite mark on her arm and declaring, "THIS HERE'S THE CAUSE OF YOUR FEVER." Nami reacts with shock, "WHAT!I" The doctor continues examining, saying "HERE, LOOK," as Nami sweats and murmurs. Large narration bubbles explain the infection: "FEVERS OF 40 DEGREES OR MORE AND INFLAMMATION OF VARIOUS BODY PARTS OCCURS, INCLUDING THE MYOCARDIUM, ARTERY, AND EVEN THE BRAIN!" "ONCE INSIDE, THE BACTERIA CAUSES GREAT PAINS FOR ITS NEW HOST FOR 5 DAYS." "THE BACTERIA LIVING IN THAT TICK CHANGES HOSTS WHEN THE TICK SUCKS ON THE BLOOD OF ANOTHER ANIMAL." "YOU WERE BITTEN BY A KESTIA, A POISONOUS TICK THAT LIVES IN THE TROPICS." The doctor laughs, "IT MUST'VE BEEN QUITE PAINFUL BUT THE PAIN WOULD'VE NATURALLY SUBSIDED AFTER 5 DAYS OF INFECTION EVEN IF WE LEFT YOUR BODY AS IT WAS... HEE HEE HEE..."

The doctor looms with wide eyes, warning Nami, "YOU'D BE RESTING IN PEACE IN THE AFTER-WORLD. BECAUSE IN JUST 2 MORE DAYS..." Nami gasps, "... WHAT!I" The doctor laughs, "HEE HEE HEE... I'M JUST TEASING WI-" while explaining the disease's history and rarity. A tiny figure runs across the checkered floor as the doctor adds, "SO YOU'RE LUCKY THAT I HAPPENED TO HAVE THE ANTIBIOTIC FOR IT." Nami sits up on the bed, startled, as the doctor pokes her and says, "JUST GO BACK TO SLEEP FOR NOW. YOU HAVEN'T FULLY RECOVERED YET." Nami protests, "WHAT, DID I ACTUALLY HIT CLOSE TO THE MARKI WELL, AREN'T YOU A HOPELESS CASE." The doctor replies, "AH!"

The doctor grins and insists, "SO UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE EXPERIENCING A WORLD OF PAIN AGAIN BEFORE DYING, I'D SUGGEST YOU STAY PUT. BESIDES, WITH MY MEDICINE, YOU'LL FULLY RECOVER IN JUST 3 MORE DAYS! DON'T GO UNDERESTIMATING A NORMALLY FATAL DISEASE NOW, YOU NAIVE LITTLE GIRL. I'D NORMALLY TAKE SOMEONE 10 WHOLE DAYS TO RECOVER WITH PROPER TREATMENT." Nami answers, "THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, BUT I'M FINE AS LONG AS MY FEVER'S GOING DOWN. MY BODY CAN HEAL ON ITS OWN NOW, RIGHTI" She tries to stand, exclaiming, "3 WHOLE DAYS!I NO, I HAVE SOMEWHERE I NEED TO BE RIGHT N-" The doctor grabs her with a fierce expression, shouting, "WHEN THEY'VE HEALED... OR WHEN THEY'VE DIED! YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE, MISSY." Nami cries out, "WHAT...!"

Tony Tony Chopper bursts in dramatically, yelling, "HOLD YOUR HORSES, LUFFY. I'LL FIRST MAKE SURE TO SEASON IT UP FIRST." Luffy and Sanji react as Chopper declares, "IF WE'RE GOING TO EAT IT, WE MIGHT AS WELL EAT RIGHT, YOU KNOWI" Someone screams, "GYAAAAA! HEEEELP!" and "STOP RIGHT THERE, YOU PIECE OF MEAT!" In a flashback panel, Nami and the doctor watch the chaos outside as Nami wonders, "WELL, COLOUR ME SHOCKED. DIDN'T THINK THOSE TWO COULD BE UP AND ABOUT SO SOON." Sanji asks, "AND... HUHI JUST WHAT IS THAT BLUE-NOSED TALKING DEER-DOLLI" Nami murmurs, "LUFFY, SANJI..." The doctor questions, "BUT DRUM ROCK'S PEAK IS SOOOM TALL! HE CLIMBED UP THIS MOUNTAIN WITH HIS BARE HANDS!I WHO'RE THEY, CHOPPERI"

Chopper examines the injured patient on the table. "Not to mention 6 broken ribs and a cracked spine... Is it alright if I operate on himI" he asks. Another voice replies, "This one's lost a lot of blood. Go warm up the bath and throw him in as soon as possible!" A separate panel shows the patient's frozen body covered in crosses. "His body's completely frozen! Just what was he thinking, walking around without even a coat!I" Nami holds the injured girl and speaks to Chopper. "Chopper, go get me phenicol, cardiotonics, and some tialcillin! The worst one here is this girl. She's on the verge of death." "Is she infectedI" Chopper asks. "...Yes, and I don't think it's a disease endemic to this island," Nami answers. Kureha appears with a grin. "Don't worry. Both of your pals here will be fine." The injured girl shivers violently. "Nghhh! Shiver shiver... Ugh..."

Luffy lies injured, mumbling weakly, "Freee... ns... (They're my friends)" with sweat drops and motion lines around him. "Deyr... my..." Chopper stares in shock. An old woman orders, "Chopper, get a move on! R-right!" Chopper yells at Luffy, "I hate humans like you! Stop running away from me, meat! Quit it, you humans!" Someone warns, "Luffy, I told you not to eat him yet!" Nami watches the scene. "But with one catch." Chopper protests, "I said stop!" Nami explains to the girl, "He's Chopper, just an average blue-nosed reindeer... But reindeer can't talk!" The girl asks, "You want to know what he isI"

Chopper transforms into a massive muscular form, smashing through debris. "I'm not your food!" he roars. A caption notes, "He ate the Hitohito fruit, which granted him human abilities." (note: hito means human). Kureha watches and says, "I poured in all my medical skill and knowledge in him. Dammit!" Chopper raises his arms in his reindeer form. "Which granted him human abilities." Impact effects and motion lines fill the chaotic scene.
