THE MAN NAMED DALTON

Massive explosions erupt in the sky as round, long-eared creatures with stubby limbs are blasted apart amid clouds, accompanied by loud SFX “ボワン!! ボワン!! ボワン!!”. Below, Sanji and Luffy stand together. Sanji says, “BUT NOW THEY’RE UP TO SOMETHING ELSE…” while Luffy, wide-eyed and gripping his arms, replies, “THEY STOPPED CHASING AFTER US,” and “THE HECK ARE THEY DOING NOWI”. In the next panel Usopp stares in shock, sweat dropping, thinking “THEY COULDN’T POSSIBLY BE TRYING TO…!I” and “IT CAN’T BE…”. The view widens to show the snowy landscape with trees as the group looks on; Usopp adds “W-WAIT…”.

In a snowy mountain town, armed villagers rush through the streets. A man on horseback shouts “HURRY!” and “ALL THOSE WHO CAN FIGHT, GRAB YOUR WEAPONS AND HEAD FOR BIG HORN!”. Another panel shows a crowd being rallied: “WAPOL HAS RETURNED! GRAB YOUR ARMS AND PREPARE TO FIGHT!” and “FOLLOW AFTER DALTON!”. A close-up of a determined villager yells “TO BIG HORN!”. The bottom spread depicts the snowy mountains with figures running as large text proclaims “IT’S TIME TO PROTECT OUR COUNTRY!” and “TAKE ARMS AND HEAD FOR BIG HORN!” while a massive “おおおおおお” echoes across the landscape.

A sleigh pulled by a horned animal speeds through the snowy forest. Vivi asks “YOU SURE THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO GYASTAI” while Usopp replies “HEY, VIVI!” and “I THINK SO BUT I’M NOT ENTIRELY SURE…”. Vivi retorts “YOU’RE NOT SUREI THAT’S NOT GONNA CUT IT, PRINCESS.” In the next panel the group argues over a map. Vivi says “WHY DON’T YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MAP AND FIGURE SOMETHING OUTI” while Usopp snaps “WHAT DOES ME BEING A PRINCESS HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING!I” and “COME ON, YOU’RE A PRINCESS. FIGURE SOMETHING OUT.” Vivi continues “ONLY TO REALIZE THE DOCTOR’S MISSING! WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY’LL DO THEN!” and “JUST IMAGINE WHAT’LL HAPPEN WHEN THE GUYS REACH THE MOUNTAINTOP,” as Usopp insists “THERE’S NOTHIN’ BUT SNOW OUT HERE! I WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO TELL APART NORTH FROM SOUTH EVEN WITH THAT MAP!”. The sleigh passes a wooden sign reading “GYASTA” twice; Vivi concludes “GOT IT!” and “WELL… THERE SHOULD BE A SIGN THAT POINTS TO GYASTA ALONG OUR WAY SO JUST KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THAT.”

A round, fluffy creature on a pedestal gulps loudly with "GULP!" as chaos erupts around a snowy castle. Explosions and debris fly with SFX "バキバキ" and "バキバキバキ!!!" while shocked faces react in the background. The king, seated atop the creature-throne, laughs uproariously with "うおおおおおおおお!!!" and declares, "DEEEE-EEEEE-EEEEL-ICIOUS!" Citizens and guards watch as he proclaims, "LISTEN WELL, MY CITIZENS! EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS IN THIS COUNTRY IS NOTHING BUT FOOD FOR ME!" One attendant flatters, "THE FACT THAT YOU ARE KING PROVES YOUR GREATNESS, YOUR MAJESTY." Another adds, "KURO-MARIMO! TELL THE PEOPLE WHY I'M SO GREAT!" A voice sighs contentedly, "AHHH... NOTHING LIKE A NICE ROASTED HOUSE COOKED TO WELL-DONE ON A COLD SNOWY DAY!"

A close-up reveals Wapol's furious face as he growls, "IT SEEMS THE STRAW-HAT PIRATES ARE HEADED FOR DRUM CASTLE." He continues, "NOW THEN... ACCORDING TO THE REPORTS," while the scene shifts to the snowy castle exterior. Reports continue: "IT SEEMS THEY'RE LOOKING FOR THAT WITCH, DR. KUREHA." Another voice notes, "APPARENTLY, SHE'S MADE THE CASTLE HER NEW HOME DURING YOUR MAJESTY'S ABSENCE." Wapol's eyes bulge in rage as he roars, "WHAT!I AND WHY IS THAT!I" and "THAT HAG IS LIVING IN MY CASTLE!I" with "WHAT!I"

Wapol stands atop his throne-creature before the castle, bellowing, "MY SUBJECTS! PREPARE TO LEAVE FOR THE CASTLE AT ONCE!" and "HOW LONG DOES THAT TRAITOROUS HAG INTEND TO MAKE A FOOL OUT OF ME!" He adds, "I'LL DEVOUR THAT HAG ALONG WITH THOSE PIRATES!" while laughing "うおおおおおおおお". In the next instant he swings his massive weapon, striking a soldier with a loud "バァアアアアアア!!!" and "AGH!" as the man is sent flying. Wapol snarls, "THAT'S AS FAR AS YOU'LL GO!"

A cloaked swordsman appears amid the chaos. Onlookers shout "WHO'S THAT!I" and "AH..." as the blade flashes. A soldier cries, "I'VE BEEN CUT! I'M GOING TO DIE!" with "GYAAAAA!" The swordsman, Dalton, stands tall and declares, "THAT'S PRECISELY WHY I CAME AND I'D BE GLAD IF YOU DID." The crowd reacts in shock with "DALTON!" and "DALTON!I" as he grips his massive sword firmly.

Wapol's massive fist swings wildly as armored guards clash. A voice cries out, "HOW DARE YOU HARM HIS MAJESTY...!" while another shouts, "YOU WERE ALIVE...!I" SFX: ばら.... In a calmer panel Wapol stands with a stern expression and declares, "CONSIDERING THAT DRUM KINGDOM WAS FORMERLY RENOWNED FOR ITS DOCTORS AND MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE. MY SURVIVAL IS HARDLY SURPRISING," A line of masked doctors in surgical garb chant in unison, "COMMENCE OPERATION." One adds, "EXTERNAL WOUNDS UNIT!" Wapol glances aside and says, "YES... SPEAKING OF WHICH, COME OUT MD-20!" The bottom panel shows gloved hands rapidly presenting tools labeled HAMMER, TIN PLATE, NEEDLE, and SCALPEL amid frantic motion lines and SFX.

Wapol reels from a sudden blow, head snapping back as a doctor yells, "AHH! YOUR HEAD HASN'T BEEN FULLY SUTURED YET, YOUR MAJESTY!" Another voice sighs in relief, "WHEW! I THOUGHT I WAS A GONER FOR A SECOND THERE." SFX: ばーん!! and どどどん!!. In the snowy village Wapol swings his massive weapon and orders, "LEAVE THIS ISLAND AT ONCE... THIS LAND HAS NO MORE NEED FOR US..." Dalton, standing firm with his shield, replies, "MY SUBJECT, DALTON." Wapol retorts, "THAT'S, 'YOUR MAJESTY' FOR YOU." Villagers shout, "HE RISKED HIS LIFE FOR US AND THIS LAND! DALTON WAS THE ONLY MAN IN THE FORMER REGIME THAT ACTUALLY FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY" as one stammers, "D-DALTON ISN'T YOUR SUBJECT ANYMORE!"

Wapol laughs mockingly from a distance, "WHILE YOU WERE STILL THE CAPTAIN OF THE ROYAL GUARDS! MAHAHAHA! IT'S A SHAME YOU DIDN'T DIE, HMPH... YOU'VE DONE WELL SURVIVING FOR SO LONG ON A COUNTRY WITHOUT ANY DOCTORS." Dalton stands tall and answers, "VERY FEW OUTSIDERS WOULD KNOW, THAT SAVE FOR 20 DOCTORS EMPLOYED IN THE CASTLE'S RESEARCH FACILITY, ALL THE OTHER DOCTORS WERE EXILED FROM THIS COUNTRY... ALTHOUGH DRUM KINGDOM, IS RENOWNED FOR ITS MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE..." In close-up Dalton's face twists in fury as he roars, "HOW DARE YOU CALL SUCH AN ABSURDITY A LAW!" Wapol grins and replies, "OH WELL, THAT'S JUST THIS KINGDOM'S LAW."

Dalton continues passionately, "NO LAW SHOULD TURN A COUNTRY'S CITIZENS INTO ITS HOSTAGES. SUCH THINGS ARE CALLED CRIMES! WITH THE ONLY DOCTORS IN THIS COUNTRY LOCKED UP IN YOUR CASTLE, THE PEOPLE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO BEG YOU WHENEVER THEY BECOME SICK." Wapol points and commands his soldiers, "THEN IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO DIE! THIS FORMER CAPTAIN OF THE ROYAL GUARDS, MEN! SAID EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TOI" In a furious close-up Dalton glares and declares, "I HAD HOPED THAT YOU WOULD REALIZE THE ERR OF YOUR WAYS BUT I NOW SEE HOW FUTILE THAT IS! BECAUSE I OWE A GREAT DEBT TO YOUR FATHER, THE FORMER KING," SFX crackle around him as tension peaks.

Dalton, transformed into his full bison hybrid form from the Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Bison, charges through a hail of gunfire. Soldiers shout "SHOOT!" as bullets fly past. Dalton roars "AGH!" while dodging every shot. A narrator notes, "IT'S THE POWER OF THE BISON MODEL-USHI USHI FRUIT!" and "HE'S DODGING ALL THE BULLETS!" With a massive swing, Dalton bellows "FIDDLE BANFF!" and declares, "I WON'T GO EASY ON YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE MY FORMER SUBORDINATES..."

Dalton leaps high with his enormous sword, smashing down in a devastating strike that sends shockwaves through the snowy battlefield. The impact hurls armored soldiers into the air. Observers react in shock: "THAT DWELL IN ZOAN-TYPE DEVIL FRUITS...!" "THIS IS THE POWER OF WILD BEASTS," "W-WHAT STRENGTH!" and "SO STRONG!" Dalton towers over the fallen troops amid swirling snow and debris.

In close-up, Dalton's bison face snarls, "A KINGDOM THAT WOULD CHOOSE TO ABANDON ITS PEOPLE AT THE FIRST SIGN OF TROUBLE IS BETTER OFF DESTROYED...!" and "YOU PEOPLE HAVE NO PLACE HERE..." Wapol and Chess watch from the side. Wapol mutters, "HMPH... LOOK AT HIM SPOUT SUCH ARROGANT WORDS..." while Chess reminds him, "THE TWO OF US AND YOU USED TO FORM THE 'THREE HEADS OF STAFF.' YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU STAND NO CHANCE AGAINST BOTH OF US." Dalton counters, "I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOUR WEAKNESSES... NOT ONLY THAT, I'VE KNOWN YOU FOR FAR TOO LONG.... THAT IS YOUR MISFORTUNE." Wapol reacts with "WHA...!I" as Dalton orders his men, "LOOK. PULL"

Dalton's allies rush forward through the snow, weapons raised, shouting "DALTON! WE'VE COME TO HELP YOU FIGHT!" Dalton himself roars "DALTON!" in a powerful stance as he prepares to strike. A small voice begins "b-" amid the chaos of charging soldiers and flying debris.

Dalton stands in the snow glaring as a voice mocks him: "THAT SOFT HEART OF YOURS IS YOUR WEAKNESS, DALTON..." Another figure laughs wildly, "MAHAHAHA! A MOST FITTING DEATH!" Dalton's name is partially called out in a speech bubble. Suddenly the ground shakes violently with a loud "ドドドド...!!" effect. Soldiers and townspeople react in panic. "WHAT'S THAT SHAKINGI AN EARTHQUAKEI" one yells. Dalton himself shouts "DALTON!" as the castle-like structure trembles and snow falls. The shaking intensifies with repeated "ゴゴゴゴ" sounds.

An enormous avalanche crashes down the mountain toward the group with massive "ゴォオオオオオ!!" sound effects and flying debris. "BECAUSE THERE'S AN AVALANCHE HEADED RIGHT FOR US!" someone yells. Luffy, Sanji, and Nami stand in the snow looking up in alarm. "WHAT'S THIS TREMBLING...I" Nami asks. Sanji questions, "WHAT IS IT, SANJII" while Luffy panics, "PLEASE TELL ME I'M DREAMING..." Usopp cries, "THOSE DAMN RABBITS REALLY DID IT...!" The group spots the massive wave of snow and rabbits fleeing. "RUN! RUN WHEREI" "LUFFY! START RUNNING!" voices shout as the avalanche looms closer. "JUST AS LONG AS IT'S FAR AWAY FROM HERE!" another says.
