Being Free

Panic erupts on a wooden ship as a massive metal creature crashes into it. Crew members shout "IT'S GONNA SINK THE SHIP!" "IS THAT A METAL CREATUREI!" and "JUMP OVER-BOARD!" with "TOTAL PANIC!!" filling the air. The ship splinters violently under the impact with "U WAAAH!!" and huge sound effects. In the churning water below, a figure clings to debris asking "Where are you...I" while nearby bubbles and fragments show "CLUB... CLUBA..." "ZISH..." "ZISH..." and "NAME WAS... KRAKRAK..."

The giant metal figure floats amid debris, speech bubbles calling "Joy Boy..." "CLUB... CLUBA!!" and "Where did you goI" Underwater panels show small figures with thoughts "How strange..." "How very strange..." "I wanted our paths to cross..." "You were here, right, Joy BoyI" On the surface a massive boar-like beast emerges from the sea, startling onlookers who yell ".....!!" "NOW... WHAT THE HELL IS THATI!" "WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THIS CRAZY ISLANDI!" "A GIANT BOARI! A MAMMOTHI!" as ships rock in the waves.

Crowds react in shock to the sudden broadcast cutoff. "COULD'VE CAUSED THE BROADCAST'S TERMINATIONI" someone wonders as static fills the screen. "DID SOMETHING GO WRONG...I" "HE WAS CUT OFF MID-SENTENCE," another notes. A man in a patterned coat exclaims, "NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT, WHAT COULD'VE KILLED A GENIUS LIKE VEGAPUNK IN THE FIRST PLACEI!" Nearby voices debate: "STRAW HAT LUFFY WAS HOLDING HIM HOSTAGE!" "NO, NO WAY! REMEMBER WHAT WAS HAPPENING BEFORE ALL THIS!" "...BUT THE GOVERNMENT WOULDN'T JUST ERASE HIM... WOULD THEYI" "HE DID SAY HE COMMITTED GRAVE SINS..." "...DON'T TELL ME... SOMEONE'S HAD HIM KILLEDI!" A figure declares, "THIS IS OBVIOUSLY THE WORK OF THOSE DASTARDLY PIRATES!" In a smaller panel, York speaks her name. Others react with "OH COME ON!!" and "SO IT REALLY WAS LUFFY-LAND." A final voice insists, "THE WORLD GOVERNMENT WOULD NEVER KILL OFF THE WORLD'S GREATEST MIND. EVEN IF HE DID BREAK A FEW LAWS!!"

York reacts with surprise amid the chaos. "...OTHER THAN ME..." "VEGAPUNKS..." "HOW MANY OF YOU VEGAPUNKS SURVIVEDI" "WHAT'S UPI!" "HUHI!" "YORK!!" A close-up shows her sweating as she checks records. Two small figures labeled 05 and 02 appear: "THERE'S ONLY TWO LEFT!" York reports, "I JUST CHECKED WHO'S STILL INTERFACING WITH PUNK RECORDS...!!" "THE OTHER TWO 'GENIUSES' ARE NOTHING BUT LOOSE ENDS!!" A giant shark-like beast lunges with a loud "ゴォオオオオオオ!!!"

The Thousand Sunny and allied ships flee through rough seas amid massive splashes and "オオオオオオオオ!!!" sound effects. "SET SAIL!!" "LET'S GET OUTTA HERE!" "YAAAH!!" A small craft leaps as someone yells "OOPS-A-DAISY!" with "がしゃっ!!" A massive armored figure shouts, "WE'RE HOPPING ON!!" while another cries "CAP'NS!!" Below, the armored giant laughs wildly, "OF COURSE!! GABA BA BA BA BA BA!!" as a long-haired man cheers "WHEW!" and "YOU MADE IT!!" A background figure yells "LUFFY!!!"

Luffy stands triumphantly atop a giant's massive ship, arms raised and laughing. "IT'S SOOOO HUGE!!" "WOAH!! SO THIS IS A GIANT'S SHIP!" He looks around asking, "WHERE'S USOPPI! ISN'T HE HEREI! WHAT ABOUT CHOPPERI!" The giant grins widely. Below, Vice Admiral Doll and Vice Admiral Bluegrass confront Jewelry Bonney. Doll yells, "THERE'S NO WAY WE CAN LET THEM ESCAPE WHEN WE HAVE THIS MANY BATTLESHIPS!!" "DAMN IT ALL!! CHASE THEM DOWN!!" Bluegrass adds, "THE GIANTS ARE TOO TOUGH!! ARE YOU TWO GONNA BE OKAYI!" Bonney sits on the ground, glaring and muttering, "BONNEY... THAT BITCH!!" A small creature squeaks "SQUEEEK!" as Bluegrass notes, "IT'S SO FRUSTRATING TO BE RENDERED HELPLESS LIKE THIS. HER ABILITY IS INCREDIBLE!!"

On the deck of the escaping ship, Sanji calls upward, "SANJI HERE!! WE'VE SUCCESSFULLY SET OFF, NAMI! HOW'S IT LOOKING UP THEREI" Nami, perched high with a confident grin, replies to the marines below, "YOU MARINES ARE GONNA BE IN HOT WATER FOR LETTING ME GET AWAY, HUHI" while laughing "GYA GYA GYA GYA!!" and noting "YOU LOOK PRETTY BEATEN UP, KASHI!!" The giant Kashi shouts back "OIMO!! KASHI!!" as Oimo answers "WE'LL BE RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" A voice yells "STRAW HAT!! I'VE BEEN ITCHING TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!" In the next section Nami, now wearing headphones, declares "OF COURSE!! NAMI-SAN, ROBIN-CHAN, AND LILITH-CHAN ARE MY TOP PRIORITY!!" while explaining "BUT WE MAY NEED YOU GUYS TO HELP US LAND SAFELY!! WE'LL BE ABLE TO LAUNCH INTO THE OCEAN THANKS TO EDISON..." Suddenly an exclamation "!!I" rings out as someone warns "SOMETHING'S COMING FROM ABOVE THE ISLAND!" A crew member shouts "I'LL MAKE SURE THE SHIP ISN'T DAMAGED!" while another yells "WHY NOT SAVE EVERYONEI!" and "EVEN IF YOU SINK, NOTHING COULD STOP ME FROM RESCUING YOU LADIES!!" A final voice adds "STOP FORGETTING THE REST OF US!"

A massive creature looms as dialogue continues: "BUT I WASN'T PLANNING ON SERVING THIS ALL IN ONE GO..." The captains warned me about your appetite. That's why I had a bunch of food ready..." "OH MY!! YOU MUST BE STRAW HAT LUFFY!!" "ANOTHER ELDER...!! THEY'RE REALLY COMING AFTER US NOW, HUHI" A small figure apologizes "SORRY!! I GOTTA FILL UP NOW; JUST COOK SOME MORE FOR LATER!" while laughing "GOGYA GYA! YOU REALLY EAT A LOT, DON'TCHAI!" The giant eater roars with delight amid scattered food. In the lower panel a fiery explosion erupts with the cry "SO HOT!!" as a massive beast attacks, roaring "RWAWR!!!" while a voice commands "PROTECT THE LITTLE PEOPLE!!"

The ship burns as crew members shout "PUT OUT THE FLAMES!! WE CAN'T LET THE SAILS CATCH FIRE!!" and "UWAHH!!" while another calls "BJORN! SIG!! YOU GUYS HANGING IN THEREI!" On the ground level a girl yells "THEY'LL BURN!! LET'S MOVE VEGAPUNK AND DADDY!" as a small figure says "I'LL CARRY THEM!!" A voice answers "IT'S BLISTERING! I OWE YOU ONE!!" while another asks "IS THAT A BIRD MONSTERI! WHAT THE--I!" and "THANKS FOR HAVING OUR BACKS, GIANTS!!" In the final panels a stern figure declares "HMI!...WILL BE PERMITTED TO ESCAPE!!" as another warns "NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU..." while a giant adds "IF THEY CAN FLY, THEY CAN CHASE US TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD!!" and "GUESS NO IGNORING THESE MONSTERS!!"

The sea shakes violently with repeated "DON-PO-TO-TO-TO" and "DON-DON-DON-DON" sounds as the ship rocks. A voice yells "ALL RIGHT!! MY BELLY'S FULL! LET'S GO!" while another screams "UWAAAAHH!! IT'S ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE!!" Bonney appears shouting "BONNEY!!" and "WOW!! NIKA!!" as Luffy's transformed figure answers "AGAIN, I'VE GOT NO IDEA WHO YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!" Panels show rising water and chaos with cries of "THIS IS BAD!!" "ARE THE SEA LEVELS REALLY STILL RISING...I" "NO WAY!! IS WHAT WE HEARD TRUEI!" A close-up of Bonney states "DISTORTED FUTURE...!!" while Luffy replies "OF COURSE YOU CAN!! I DON'T KNOW HOW YOUR POWERS WORK, BUT I'M SURE YOU'VE GOT THIS!!" Other voices shout "C'MON! DON'TCHA WANNA BLOW THESE GUYS OUTTA THE WATERI!" "WE CAN'T BOTH DANCE AROUND LIKE THIS, YOU BLOCKHEAD!! WHO'S GONNA PUT OUT THE FIRESI! GABA BA BA!!" "IT'S LIKE A FESTIVE BEAT!!" and "OH, THAT'S JUST HOW I LOOK WHEN I'M TOTALLY FREE!!" A final line reads "I COULDN'T KEEP UP WITH YOU IN THAT FORM..."

Bonney bursts forward in a massive dynamic leap, fist extended toward the viewer as she shouts "YEAH!" and declares "...WHERE I'M TOTALLY FREE!!" A voice laughs wildly nearby: "WAH HYA HYA HYA HYA! THAT'S THE SPIRIT, BONNEY!" Multiple sound effects explode across the page: "DON-DO-TO-TO ドンドットト♪" and "ドンドットト♪" punctuate her movement and smaller action panels. Inset scenes show a young girl reacting with wide eyes, while other bubbles read "YOU CAN REST NOW, GINNY..." and "I SWEAR... I'LL RAISE HER WELL." Additional panels depict urgent figures saying "WE MUST HURRY!" and "I SENSE SOMETHING IS AMISS." A small chibi-like figure appears amid debris with "CH-CHK..." and "There you are..."
