Festive lanterns and banners fill the streets of the Flower Capital as the party rages in full swing. Crowds cheer and dance beneath the glowing decorations while a massive stage and pagoda loom in the background. Suddenly the mood shifts. Yamato, horns visible and expression fierce, shouts desperately, "YOU MUSTN'T LAY A HAND ON HIM!!" A young woman with a ponytail cries out, "WHY WON'T YOU LET ME FIGHTI! WHYI!" The fiery, dragon-like figure of Kaido roars back, "STOP, YAMATO!" In the next instant a massive impact erupts; Kaido's body twists violently as black impact lines and debris explode outward. Yamato is hurled through the air with a pained "NGH!" while the ground cracks and smoke billows.

Kaido's massive dragon head lunges forward, flames bursting as he bellows "FIRE RELEASE!!" Raizo counters with a scroll technique, yelling "NINPO: SCROLL-SCROLL JUTSU!!" A huge explosion sends Kaido reeling with a pained "GUWAA!" Raizo then declares "FIREPROOF FOREST!!" while taunting, "YOU THINK I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GUARD AGAINST SUCH AN OBVIOUS WEAKNESSI! YOU'RE UP AGAINST A NAVY ADMIRAL!" The admiral's face twists in fury before he snaps, "JUST KIDDING!" Below, Raizo is struck hard; someone shouts "RAIZO!!" as he crashes down with a heavy "UGH!" The admiral's vines whip through the air.

Raizo is sent flying through the air, the group crying out "RAIZOI!" "RAIZO-SAN!!" as he screams "AHHHH!!" The admiral's massive wooden form looms, vines lashing. Below, the fight continues on wooden platforms. Kin'emon and others hack at the writhing vines while shouting, "IS WEED WHACKING REALLY ALL WE CAN DOI" "HE MUST HAVE SOME WEAKNESS, RIGHTI!" The admiral roars, "NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE CUT, IT JUST KEEPS GROWING BACK! DAMN YOU!!" Raizo and the others are battered by repeated strikes, grunting "NGH!" "UGH!" "AGH!!" as the wooden tendrils slam into them.

The scene shifts deep beneath the castle. Signs mark the descent: "EVEN FURTHER DOWN..." "KOZUKI SUKIYAKI'S SECRET ROOM" "CASTLE BASEMENT." A group carefully navigates a cracked, mold-covered staircase. One warns, "BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU STEP, THE GROUND IS COVERED WITH MOLD." Another remarks, "THAT NATURALLY MADE ME WONDER IF YOU WERE UP TO SOMETHING!" A third adds, "I SIMPLY NOTICED THE TWO OF YOU WEREN'T WITH THE OTHERS..." The man in the lead states, "YOU MAKE IT SOUND LIKE I'M A HYENA!" and "YOU DID WELL TO SNIFF US OUT." At the bottom, Jack glares and growls, "...BECAUSE THEY HAD A FISHMAN ON THEIR CREW. BUT THEY WERE STILL ABLE TO FIND THE PONEGYPH IN NO TIME... I NEVER TOLD OROCHI OR KAIDO ABOUT THIS PASSAGE, THE ALL-STAR, JACK!"

An elderly man with long hair and scars faces Law and a woman in a striped kimono. He states, "THAT WILL BE CLEAR WHEN YOU SEE IT." Law questions, "HOW WOULD BEING A FISHMAN HELPI" In close panels the woman shows a question mark above her head while the elder says, "I WOULD SAY IT GOES A FEW HUNDREDS OF YEARS DEEP." Law wonders, "HOW FAR DOWN DOES THIS GOI" A sudden "POP!" sounds as Law adjusts his hat and complains, "NO FAIR..." The elder explains, "THERE IS A GLASS-BLOCK WINDOW AT THE END OF THAT CRAWL SPACE." Someone asks, "WHERE IS THAT DIM LIGHT COMING FROMI" The elder points downward and urges, "YOU CAN CLIMB IN THERE AND TAKE A PEEK, WE SHOULD ALREADY BE BELOW SEA LEVEL."

The elder continues explaining Wano's past: "...ON THE LAND AROUND THE BASE OF MOUNT FUJI. LONG AGO, WANO WAS MUCH LARGER AND LOCATED AT SEA LEVEL... THIS IS WHAT I DO KNOW; AND WHOLE TOWNS WERE EVENTUALLY SUBMERGED AND ABANDONED. AS A RESULT, THE RAINWATER HAD NO PLACE TO ESCAPE TO, AT SOME POINT, WALLS WERE ERECTED ALL AROUND, ENCLOSING THE ISLAND. AND THAT GREW INTO THE COUNTRY WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH TODAY. THE LAND FURTHER UP MOUNTAIN WAS ESTABLISHED FOR SETTLERS, THE CURRENT WANO!" The woman replies, "PRECISELY." A massive underwater view of Wano's submerged structures appears with the exclamation "...UNDERWATERI! IS THAT WANO..." The woman asks, "BUT IT'S SO WELL PRESERVED, DOES THAT MEAN THIS ISN'T REALLY SEA WATERI" Law answers, "...I HAVE NO IDEA. EXACTLY AS I SAID, ALTHOUGH AS TO WHY IT ENDED UP LIKE THIS..." The elder concludes, "THAT IS AN OLDER WANO... FROM ABOUT 800 YEARS AGO."

The group reaches a massive stone tablet. Law announces, "THIS IS THE LODE PONEGLYPH. WE HAVE ARRIVED." The elder reacts with surprise. A diagram labels their position as "CURRENT LOCATION" and "OLD WANO," noting, "IF YOU CONTINUED TO TREK A LITTLE DEEPER... WE ARE IN A CAVERN NEAR THE FOOT OF MOUNT FUJI. WE JUST NEED ONE MORE TO LAUGH TALE...!!! THIS IS OUR THIRD. IT'S REALLY HERE...!!!" The woman stares in awe. In the final panel the elder admits, "I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT MYSELF AND AM UNABLE TO SHOW IT TO YOU....IT IS SAID THAT YOU WOULD FIND THE SLEEPING ANCIENT WEAPON, PLUTON."

The elder warns, "'OPENING THE COUNTRY' IS QUITE A LITERAL ACT. WE WOULD LOSE OUR GREATEST DEFENSE... AND SET LOOSE ONE OF THE ANCIENT WEAPONS. RETRIEVING PLUTON WOULD REQUIRE... THE REMOVAL OF THE WALLS THAT SURROUND THIS NATION." Flashbacks show Oden's voyages and the shogunate rule. The elder questions, "WHY WOULD KOZUKI ODEN WANT THATI OPENING THE COUNTRY UNLEASHES PLUTONI!" A chaotic scene erupts with a bear-like figure shouting, "I WOULDN'T HAVE COME HERE!!" while others yell, "GET ITI IF KAIDO WAS STILL IN-CHARGE, NO MAN CAN HOPE TO STAND AGAINST THE FORCES OF NATURE ALONE!!" The sign reads "THE FLOWER CAPITAL."

A massive, furious face looms from swirling clouds and smoke, declaring, "...WAS THE DETERRENT THAT KEPT OTHER PREDATORS FROM TARGETING YOUR COUNTRY!!" Nearby narration adds, "I'M SURE LIVING UNDER HIS REGIME WAS MISERABLE, BUT THE ORDER HE IMPOSED..." Below, the monstrous figure erupts in a massive blast of smoke and debris with the huge SFX "グゴゴゴゴ", roaring, "I'LL LEAVE YOU BE AFTER I TAKE HIS HEAD!! JUST BRING ME 'STRAW HAT' LUFFY ALREADY!" A smaller dragon-like figure tumbles amid the chaos as someone cries "AHH!" In the lower panels, Momonosuke's dragon form rears up with the SFX "ウオオオオ", panting heavily. Kin'emon shouts from below, "AFTER ALL THAT TIME CHAINED UP ON ONIGASHIMA... YOU FINALLY HAVE YOUR CHANCE TO BE FREE!" Yamato, wide-eyed and sweating, yells, "NO! THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE! THE SAME GOES FOR YOU, DO NOT TOUCH HIM! LET'S CALL LUFFY AND THE GANG AND SHOW THIS GUY WHO'S BOSS!!"

Close-ups show determined faces as voices declare, "BUT IT IS IMPERATIVE TO PROVE THAT THOSE OF US WHO ARE STAYING HERE CAN REPEL ANY ENEMY ON OUR OWN!" and "UP UNTIL NOW, I HAVE CONTINUED TO RELY ON LUFFY, ZORO, AND THE OTHERS...!!!" Yamato, hand raised, snaps, "HUHI! THAT IS WHY I REFUSE TO TAINT YOUR SEND OFF!" Momonosuke's dragon head lunges forward, bellowing, "...AND SAY THAT WANO IS SAFE WITH USI!" as the speaker continues, "IF WE STILL HAVE TO DEPEND ON THE PEOPLE WHO WISH TO LEAVE... HOW CAN WE LOOK ANY OF YOU IN THE EYES..." In rapid panels, Momonosuke roars "I SAID LEAVE!!" while blasting energy. A furious figure yells, "SO YOU'RE JUST A SPOILED KID. I GUESS EVEN DRAGONS CAN BE PATHETIC..." Another commands, "NOW BEGONE, YOU DEMON TREE! GET OUT OF HERE!" Yamato stares in shock as someone calls, "MOMONOSUKE-KUN!!"

A close-up shows a man grimacing "NGGHH!!!" while another exclaims, "IT WAS A SPITTING IMAGE OF KAIDO'S...!!! MOMONOSUKE-SAMA, THAT WAS...!!!" Momonosuke's dragon form unleashes repeated blasts with the cries "BEGONE!!" and "BEGONE!!" as a voice growls, "HANG ON, YOU CRAZY BASTARD..." A massive tree-like entity is struck with the huge SFX "AGHHHHH!!!" and debris flying. Below, Yamato watches in awe, saying, "AMAZING! HE'S MANAGING TO CONTROL HIS DRAGON FORMI! BUT HIS AIM STILL LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED!!" Momonosuke continues firing as the dragon is hit with "WAAAH!!" and impact sounds "THUMP THUMP THUMP". Observers shout, "MOMONOSUKE-SAMA!! WAAAH! IT ACTUALLY CAME OUT!" while a close-up face screams "AGH!!!"

Momonosuke's dragon clashes violently in the sky with a massive foe, the dragon crying "VOAAH!!" amid huge impact SFX and flying debris. The monstrous tree-like figure looms as someone mutters, "WHAT A PAIN..." with the SFX "にょき..." and a small sprout appearing. Below, the dragon is hurled toward a volcanic mountain as voices ask, "IS HE TRYING TO BURN DOWN THE WHOLE TOWNI!" and reply, "SERIOUSLY..." The creature transforms further with the SFX "ズズズ" while saying, "EASY NOW..." In the final panels, the ground cracks with "!I" and impact lines as the monstrous figure declares, "I'LL SKEWER YOU AND YOUR WANNABE KAIDO FROM MOUTH TO TAIL! SINCE YOU'RE SO HELL-BENT ON PLAYING HARDBALL, HAVE IT YOUR WAY!!!"

Luffy reels in shock as a massive burst of Conqueror's Haki erupts, shouting "WHO THE HELL...I! THAT CONQUEROR'S HAKI...!!" while clutching his head. "KZZZZHT" crackles through the air. Below, Kin'emon stares upward in disbelief, crying "...THE RED HAIR PIRATES...I! YOU'RE HERE TOOI...I!" A massive impact crater forms as the Haki blast sends debris flying, with voices yelling "WAIT!! WAIT!!" and "WOAH!!" In the lower panels, Luffy glares angrily and declares, "...WOULDN'T YOU AGREE IT'S BAD FORM TO GO AFTER THESE WORN OUT SAPLINGS......WHEN THEY'RE EXHAUSTED FROM MAKING PIRATE HISTORYI!" A silhouetted figure on the ship replies, "OR UNDERHANDED FOR THIS, BUT... I WON'T CALL YOU MARINES COWARDLY..." while another crewmate warns, "BOSS! DON'T JUST GO ALL OUT WITH YOUR HAKI LIKE THAT! ALL THE NEWBIES ARE FOAMING AT THE MOUTH!"

Quick reaction panels show a smiling woman holding a baby, a man with a topknot screaming in panic, and Luffy sweating with a strained grin. Shanks leans forward with an intense grin, fist raised, asking "DOES THE NEW AGE......FRIGHTEN YOU THAT MUCHI!" In the bottom sequence, a dragon-like creature and other figures react with shock as Shanks stands with arms spread, saying "...WITH YOU GUYS... I GET IT ALREADY!! IT'S NOT LIKE I WANT TO PICK A FIGHT... NOT TODAY ANYWAY..."

A lively celebration erupts with music notes and confetti. A woman in a kimono plays a shamisen and sings while Momonosuke cheers alongside other Wano residents dancing and raising weapons. Kin'emon sits with a pipe and remarks, "INDEED, AND THAT HAKI JUST NOW WAS REALLY SOMETHING TOO." Momonosuke adds, "CHECK MOMO OUT!" and "GUESS WE DON'T NEED TO LEND A HAND AFTER ALL." Someone shouts "HE'S GONE! SHISHISHISHI!" while another asks "YEAH! WHO WAS THATI!" A distant panel shows a ship drifting in the ocean with the caption "A SHIP DRIFTING IN THE VAST OCEAN!" The final close-up reveals Luffy grinning widely, thinking "A FAMILIAR FACE JUST POPPED INTO MY HEAD." The page ends with the One Piece logo and "CH.1055 END."
