At Last, Grand Line

Luffy stands at the bow of the Going Merry, eyes wide with excitement. He shouts, “THE GREATEST SEA IN THE WORLD…!” and “SO THIS IS GRAND LINE,” as the ship races forward at full speed. The vessel plunges down a steep waterway between towering cliffs, sails billowing. Large onomatopoeia “ゴオオオ” roars across the panel. A sign on the ship reads “FULL SPEED AHEAD!” The crew’s small boat barrels through the rushing current toward the unknown.

The Going Merry continues its wild descent. A massive sound effect “BUO OOO OH!” erupts as the crew reacts. Nami says, “I WOULDN’T BE SURPRISED IF THAT’S JUST NOISE FROM THE WIND. THE TERRAIN HERE IS QUITE ODD AFTER ALL.” Usopp yells “WHO CARES! WOOHOO!” while Zoro asks, “HMI DID YOU HEAR SOMETHING JUST NOWI” Luffy exclaims “A MOUNTAINI” Nami replies in shock, “THAT CAN’T BE! ONCE WE PASS THE TWIN CAPES UP AHEAD, WE SHOULD REACH THE OPEN SEA.” Usopp cries “NAMI! THERE’S A MOUNTAIN UP AHEAD!” as the crew stares ahead in alarm. Luffy mutters “HMI” while huge “BUO OHH HHH!” sounds shake the panels.

A colossal whale head bursts into view, blocking the waterway. Its scarred, barnacle-covered skin fills the frame as massive sound effects “ゴオオオ” and “BUO OOO HHH HH!” explode across the page. The crew realizes in horror: “THAT’S NO MOUNTAIN! IT’S A WHALE!” The Going Merry hurtles straight toward the enormous creature’s open eye and jagged maw at the base of Reverse Mountain.

The Going Merry races toward Reverse Mountain's canal as an enormous black shape blots out the sky ahead. Crew members shout in panic from the deck: "ARE YOU KIDDING!I HOW THE HECK ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIGHT SOMETHING THAT BIG!I" "WHAT SHOULD WE DO!I SHOULD WE FIGHT!I" Nami stares ahead and wonders aloud, "MAYBE THE WHALE JUST HASN'T NOTICED US YET!" while Sanji sweats and mutters, "WE'RE TOO CLOSE TO SEE ANYTHING! IT LOOKS LIKE JUST A GIANT WALL! WHERE ARE ITS EYES!I" Luffy suddenly stands up with a grin and yells, "THAT'S IT! I'VE GOT A PLAN!" Usopp protests, "WELL WE'VE GOTTA DO SOMETHING! I'LL COME HELP TOO! BUT THE RUDDER'S BROKEN!" Luffy points forward and orders, "TURN PORTSIDE! WELL IF WE DON'T DO ANYTHING SOON, WE'RE GONNA CRASH! THERE'S AN OPEN SPACE UP LEFT!"

The crew strains at the wheel but the rudder refuses to turn. "IT'S NO GOOD! THE RUDDER WON'T BUDGE!" Luffy leaps into action shouting "TURRNNN LEEEFFFT!" and dashes across the deck as Nami calls after him, "WHAT IS IT, LUFFY!I" The ship slams nose-first into the whale's blowhole. A massive spout of water erupts upward with a thunderous impact that rocks the vessel. On deck afterward, Luffy stands with hands on hips and wonders, "GOOD! I WONDER IF THE SHIP STOPPED NOWI" while Sanji, Usopp, and Nami stare in horror at the cannon and the surrounding flesh, gasping "THE CANNON...!I"

A gigantic eye suddenly opens right beside the ship, staring at the crew. Nami is knocked to the deck and cries out, "OH GOD... I ALMOST DIED JUST NOW..." Luffy yells in outrage, "MY SPECIAL SEAT!" as the whale's massive head looms overhead. In the background the distant ship is shown cracking against the canal wall with a loud "CRACK". Sanji and Usopp sit slumped in shock, muttering "OH GOD..." while huge sound effects rumble across the page: "ゴゴゴゴゴゴ".

The whale's enormous body fills the canal entrance, its skin cracked from the earlier impact. Luffy shouts, "WHAT'S WITH THIS THING!I DID IT EVEN FEEL THAT CANNONBALL JUST NOW!I" Sanji yells back, "WHO THE HELL CARES! LET'S JUST GET OUTTA HERE! MAYBE IT'S JUST REALLY SLOW! NOW'S OUR CHANCE! RUN FOR IT!" Usopp and Nami frantically row the lifeboat away, screaming "ROW! JUST ROW AS FAST AS YOU CAN! WE'VE GOT TO GET AWAY FROM THIS THING JUST NOW! AGHHHHH, MY EARS!" while the whale lets out a deafening roar: "BUO OOOOH HHH!"

High on the lighthouse balcony, Nami peers down in surprise. "HUHI" Below, the massive whale's eye glares as Luffy shouts furiously from the deck, "YOU DESTROY..." and "HOW DARE..." The whale's enormous jaws open wide. Luffy leaps forward with a powerful kick, yelling "MY SPECIAL SEAT!!!" as impact lines and debris explode around the blow.

The crew reacts in shock. "THAT IDIOT!" Nami laughs nervously while Sanji, Usopp, and Zoro stare wide-eyed. The whale's giant eye focuses on the ship. "IT SAW US!" Luffy stands ready on the deck, fists clenched, roaring "COME AT ME, YOU BASTARD!" Behind him, someone yells "JUST SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY!" as a crewmate takes an "OOF!" hit.

The whale's colossal jaws engulf Luffy in a massive splash. Inside the dark, ribbed throat, Luffy plummets, screaming "AGHH HHHH!" From the ship, a voice cries "LUFFY!" as the whale's body thrashes violently, sending waves crashing against the lighthouse structure.

Luffy tumbles deeper into the spiraling throat, shouting "I AIN'T GONNA DIE HERE!" while the whale's inner walls echo with "AGHH-HHHH-HHHHH!" and "AHH! I'M GONNA FALL!" He bounces off surfaces marked "HOP" amid swirling debris. Outside, the whale surfaces with a deep "バクン..." gulp, its scarred back breaking the waves under the sky.

Luffy sits alone on a rocky outcrop, panting heavily with sweat flying as he stares in shock at the vast sea. HUFF... HUFF HUFF. In the distance a massive black shape breaches the waves. His face twists in panic as the realization hits: EVERYONE WAS SWALLOWED UP. WHAT DO I DO NOWI Luffy leaps forward, fists clenched, shouting at the enormous whale, GIVE ME MY FRIENDS BACK! HEY YOU! COUGH 'EM UP! The whale's body rumbles with deep ゴゴゴゴゴゴ vibrations while Luffy demands his crewmates be returned.

Luffy's face fills the panel, eyes wide and teeth bared as he roars, WE WERE JUST ABOUT TO START OUR GRAND ADVENTURE! THEY'RE MY IMPORTANT FRIENDS! I SAID WAIT! GIVE ME BACK MY CREW-MATES! On the deck of the Going Merry he continues yelling at the whale while it looms overhead. DAMN IT! PLANNING TO DIVE UNDER THE SEAI WAIT! The whale's tail rises high, splashing down with a thunderous ドーン and ザブゥゥゥン. A crewmate asks, WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THISI as Luffy stares in disbelief.

On the deck of the Going Merry the remaining crew stands together. Sanji smokes and asks, YEAH, WHAT'S YOUR EXPLANATION FOR THIS... I COULD'VE SWORN WE WERE SWALLOWED UP BY A WHALE BUT... Zoro crosses his arms, WHAT DO I MAKE OF THIS...I Nami and Usopp look equally stunned. A massive sound effect ドン echoes across the water. The ship now floats near a small tropical island with a wooden house, palm trees, and a docked boat flying the Straw Hat Jolly Roger. Someone wonders aloud, ARE WE JUST DREAMING OR SOMETHINGI Another replies,...YEAH, THIS HAS GOT TO BE A DREAM...

From the Merry the crew spots the distant island house. WHAT'S WITH THAT HOUSE ON THAT ISLANDI THEN... MUST BE AN ILLUSION... A giant squid suddenly erupts from the sea beside a wrecked ship, tentacles thrashing. IT'S A GIANT SQUID! THEN WHAT ABOUT THISI The creature attacks with violent ザバ and ばっ impacts, sending debris flying. The ship tilts wildly under the assault as the crew reacts in shock with loud!!!!I sound effects.

On the deck of the Going Merry, Sanji and Zoro clash violently amid flying debris and impact lines. Sanji delivers a powerful kick while Zoro counters with his swords drawn. Below, a distressed Nami clutches her face and cries out, "I'VE HAD ENOUGH... I WANNA GO HOME..." Usopp sweats nervously nearby and asks, "B-BY THE WAY, WHERE DID LUFFY GO...I" Sanji smirks and says, "LET'S HOPE IT'S A PERSON," while Zoro glares and replies, "SEEMS LIKE THERE'S A PERSON HERE." The scene shifts to a massive splash panel revealing the enormous whale Laboon with a small house built on its back, anchored by massive harpoons. Loud "DRAG" sound effects echo as the whale surfaces, accompanied by huge stylized SFX "ゴオオオオオオオオオオ" filling the sky.

Luffy stares in shock inside a strange interior, sweat flying as he blurts, "WHAT THE..." He stands in a long metal hallway and wonders aloud, "WHY'S THERE A DOOR IN A WHALE...I AND A HALLWAY, TOO..." and "JUST WHAT IS ALL THISI" Outside on the deck, Sanji turns with a serious expression and warns, "HANG ON, SOMEONE'S COMING OUT...!" Usopp panics and suggests, "M-MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST OPEN FIRE!" Zoro stands with arms crossed, staring at a distant silhouette of a ship on the horizon and muttering, "A SHIP..."
