THE ADVENTURE IN THE CITY OF WATER

THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME SWEAT LIKE CRAZY..." while Luffy suggests, "WHY NOT JUST GO STRAIGHT TO THE SHIPYARDI" Nami agrees, "HM... I AGREE WITH USOPP... BY THE WAY, AFTER WE CHANGE IT INTO CASH, USOPP AND I WILL CARRY IT FOR YOU." In a smaller panel she smiles and adds, "THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM!! YOU'RE CARRYING SO MUCH GOLD IN PUBLIC!!" Usopp protests, "WE ARE ROBBERS." The group walks away pulling a cart loaded with gold as sound effects "ガラガラ..." trail behind them.

Continuing their walk through Water Seven, Luffy insists, "YUP, THAT'S LUFFY FOR YA!" Usopp replies, "YUP" and "CORRECT, BECAUSE YOU'LL LOSE IT." Nami questions, "ARE YOU SAYING THAT I CAN'T CARRY MONEYI" and "WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYINGI" Luffy answers simply, "HMI" They approach a stone bridge over a canal. Luffy asks, "IS THIS ITI THE ENTRANCE TO THE CITYI" A large sign reading "RENTAL BULL SHOP" comes into view. The three stare at it in confusion. Usopp wonders, "WHAT'S THATI" Luffy asks, "BULL RENTALI" Nami questions, "WHAT IS THAT FORI" Usopp guesses, "DON'T KNOW. IS IT A BULLDOGI PROBABLY NOT. WOOF" while Luffy and Nami remain puzzled.

Nami and Usopp stand together as Luffy runs ahead shouting, "EXCUSE ME! WE WANT TO RENT A BULL!!" Usopp yells after him, "WAIT! FIND OUT WHAT IT IS FIRST!!!" Inside the shop, a grinning man with spiky hair and glasses asks, "HOW MANY PEOPLEI" and "WELCOME. RENTING A BULLI" He explains the options: "IF THERE ARE THREE OF YOU... HOW ABOUT 2 YAGARAI THERE ARE 3 TYPES: YAGARA, RABUKA, AND KING... WHAT KIND DO YOU WANTI" Luffy excitedly answers, "THREE!" while holding up three fingers. The shopkeeper begins preparing a Yagara bull as Luffy beams. Usopp protests, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!I" and Nami requests, "OKAY. PLEASE MAKE IT EXTRA CRISPY." Sound effects like "バババ..." and "ガララ..." punctuate the scene.

A large man with wild hair and a patterned shirt grins widely and exclaims, "WOW~ THAT'S AMAZING. THOUGH THAT PROBABLY MEANS... THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT BULLS ARE." Someone off-panel reacts in shock: "WHAT!I YOU CAME HERE FOLLOWING THE LOG!I" The man continues explaining, "THEY ARE SPECIAL MARINE CREATURES THAT SWIM ON THE WATER. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE IN THE CITY. LOOK. THOSE ARE BULLS. YAGARA BULLS TO BE EXACT." In the background, Luffy, Nami, and two others stand near a checkered archway. The man adds, "IT IS ALSO NECESSARY FOR TOURISTS TO MOVE AROUND THE CITY. THUS BULLS ARE CRUCIAL TO THE CITIZENS' EVERYDAY LIFE. THIS IS A WATER CITY, SO THERE ARE MORE WATER CANALS THAN THERE ARE DRY ROADS." Below, the city of Water 7 bustles with arched buildings, bridges, and Yagara bulls pulling boats through the canals as riders in ornate vessels glide past.

The large man continues, "THEY WORK LIKE HORSE CARRIAGES. IT WORKS VERY MUCH LIKE THE HORSES ON DRY LANDS." Nami asks, "NO. YOU MOUNT THE BOATS ON THEM. DO YOU USE THE FISH TO PULL THE BOATI" The man replies, "2 YAGARA-BULLS WILL COST 2000 BERI. COME AND GIVE IT A TRY. OKAY. THIS IS MY BULL POOL." A Yagara bull suddenly licks Luffy's face with a loud "LICK" and "CH!!", sending him reeling back with a startled "WAH!" Nearby fish swim and make sounds like "NI NI" and "ぷくぷく". Nami smiles and says, "SO CUTE~" while Luffy yells, "STUPID BULL!!!" The man laughs, "IT LIKES YOU! I'LL GIVE YOU THAT ONE." Luffy stands by the railing as more "NI NI" sounds fill the air. Nami remarks, "THEY LOOK LIKE HORSES."

The man boasts about his Yagara bull, "NO PROBLEM. IT'S VERY STRONG AND CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING ANYTHING." Luffy asks, "CAN IT CARRY THISI THIS IS HEAVY." The bull replies confidently, "HAHAHAHA. YOU'RE FUNNY. THOUGH IT WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM CARRYING GOLD." Luffy holds up a large sack and asks, "WHAT'S IN THAT SACKI" The man answers, "GOLD!" while the bull carries it aboard. Later, Luffy stares in shock at the revealed gold as the man warns, "WHYI IT'S NOT LIKE WE'LL SHOW IT TO PEOPLE, IDIOT!!!" Luffy exclaims, "MAN... YOU'RE A STRAIGHT SHOOTER. IN YOUR DREAM!!" and grabs at the gold with a "WAH!! GIVE ME!!!" Nami smiles and says, "YES, BUT THAT'S A LOT OF GOLD YOU HAVE THERE... THEY WON'T HAVE ENOUGH CASH TO EXCHANGE FOR ALL OF IT. YOU SHOULD GO TO THE CITY CENTER IN THE ZOUSENSHIMA." The man asks, "HEY. IS THERE AN EXCHANGE NEAR BYI" and offers, "OKAY. 2 YAGARA-BULLS WILL COST YOU AROUND 1 MILLION BERI. YOU ROSE THE PRICE BY 50,000!!"

The Yagara bull leaps into the canal with a massive splash and motion lines as Luffy shouts, "OKAY! LET'S GO, YAGARA!!" The man waves and calls out, "THANKS FOR COMING! PLEASE TAKE CARE!" while the bull makes "NI NI" sounds. Luffy thanks the man, "THANKS FOR THE MAP!!" The group rides away on the speeding bull through the water. Nami remarks, "IT'S QUITE A RIDE." The man notes, "THIS IS A USEFUL ANIMAL." Luffy cheers with arms raised, "YOU GO, BULL!!" and "WOW! THIS IS GREAT!" as the bull makes a musical "NI" sound and the boat cuts through the waves.

The crew's fish-shaped boat surges uphill through the winding water roads of the city. Luffy stares in shock, shouting, "Ah! Uphill! Can it swim uphill tooI" Usopp explains, "Water roads are everywhere. We're in the residential area." The boat powers forward as Luffy yells, "It can also swim against the current!! This fish is so strong!!" With a triumphant "Yahooo!!!" the vessel races up a steep ramp. Usopp suddenly panics, "Wait! This is the wrong way!" The boat veers sharply as someone cries "Ni!!" A wide splash panel shows the craft speeding along elevated canals above rooftops while Luffy shouts, "We're the wrong way!! We have to go to the market district first..." and a long "Ni~~~~!!!" echoes. The narration notes, "There are water roads above the roof too!!"

Nami reacts with surprise as the boat plunges downward. Luffy cheers, "Woohoo! Going down~~~!" while Usopp yells "Ni" and Sanji grins, "Who cares! Let's just look around on the water roads." They burst into a bustling market canal lined with shops and banners. Nami exclaims, "Wow! It's so lively." Luffy adds, "Wow! These fishes are smart!!" as the boat takes a sudden turn. Usopp wonders, "Was that a... short-cut!I" Nami asks, "Are we at the market!I" A vendor shouts, "Ma'am, I'll sell this cheap!!" while another sign reads "50% OFF!!!" Chopper points excitedly, "Look! A super big bull!!" amid the crowded waterways and lively stalls.

A massive shark-like creature surfaces with a menacing grin, prompting Luffy to shout, "Wow! That looks scary!!!" Usopp adds, "It looks like it can swallow us..." as the beast growls. The scene shifts to the crew spotting masked figures on a passing boat. Nami wonders, "I wonder who they are." Sanji notes, "Wow... that look so high class..." while Usopp questions, "Masks...I" A masked man with a long nose reacts, "What the heckI" Nearby, a cheerful masked vendor calls out, "Welcome!! Would you like somethingI" Luffy turns in confusion as someone asks, "Hey! Where are you going, Luffy!I" and another voice calls, "Ah! Where are you goingI" The fish boat drifts past ornate buildings and masked pedestrians.

Luffy devours skewers with loud "Chomp chomp" sounds, his face covered in sauce. A masked woman explains, "Mizu Mizu meat is for people, but Yagara bulls also like them." Luffy asks, "WhatI Are you hungryI" and demands, "Give me 10!!" Nami calls out, "Nami!! Go to the shop!!" Sanji replies, "Go buy it yourself." Usopp tries one and reacts, "Eeh!!!I Let me try one too!!!" while enjoying it with "Yum~~~ So~~~~ soft~~~~" Nami stares silently. In the background, masked citizens fill the streets. Nami notices, "Hey!!! Nami!!! There are lots of people wearing masks..." and observes, "If you look carefully... Another one...I"

The crew discusses their path through the city. "AQUATIC ELEVATORI" "FIRST WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE AQUATIC ELEVATOR." "WE SHOULD BE AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SHIPYARD SOON." "OKAY." A massive stone tower structure dominates the view as a ship glides past. "IT'S PROBABLY THAT TOWER-LOOKING STRUCTURE." Nami explains with excitement, "IT'S WHERE THE SHIPYARDS AND THE CITY HALL OF WATER SEVEN ARE LOCATED." In a narrow passage, a woman gestures ahead, "THIS WAY TO THE ELEVATOR TO ZOUSENSHIMA."

Luffy stares in surprise inside a tunnel. "WHAT DO WE DO HEREI" "THE GATE WILL CLOSE IN ONE MINUTE." "PLEASE ENTER QUICKLY." Nami realizes, "OH I SEE. THAT'S HOW THE AQUATIC ELEVATOR WORKS!!" The group rises with the water. "GOING UP!" "OH! WE'RE GOING UP!" "AH! THE DOOR CLOSED." A loud "ガシャン!!" echoes. Luffy laughs wildly on the rising platform, "HAHAHA! WATER SEVEN IS SO FUN!!" Nami watches beside him as he shouts, "THEY DO EVERYTHING WITH WATER."

Far from the city, the Going Merry sits anchored near a grassy shore. "HEY, ZORO!" "HEY!" On deck, Sanji complains, "THIS SUCKS. ONLY YOU ARE LEFT ON THE SHIP! SO BORING!!" Usopp replies, "THEY WENT OUT TO BUY SOME STUFF." Zoro asks, "HM... NO... SHE WENT OUT WITH CHOPPER. WHERE'S ROBINI IS SHE ON THE SHIPI" Sanji reacts, "WHAT!I" Nami's voice calls from afar, "OH WELL... YOU'RE IT." Zoro finds Chopper asleep, "FELL ASLEEP ALREADY..." Sanji decides, "WATCH THE SHIP!! FINE. I'M GOING TO GO SHOPPING, TOO."

The crew arrives at the grand city. Luffy, Usopp, and others gape in awe from their boat. "THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE BEEN TO SUCH A BIG CITY!!" "NI" "SO BIG!! EVERYTHING IS SO BIG!!" They cheer, "LET'S GO AND SEE!! GO, YAGARA!!" "ARE THEY LOOKING AT SHIPS BEING MADEI" "WHAT'S THAT CROWD ABOUTI" The massive layered tower of Water Seven rises before them. "WE'RE HERE!!" "THE BEST SHIPYARD OF THE WORLD!!" "WATER SEVEN CITY CENTER!!" Crowds line the docks and bridges as the boat approaches. "THERE ARE LOTS OF DRY AREA HERE."

In a lively street gathering, a crowd cheers wildly for the Galley-La carpenters. One man yells, "No. Tirestone is the man!!" Another shouts, "Ruru is the best! He's the man amongst men!!" A third calls out, "Where's Paul!!I" while a woman gushes, "Look! Lue-chan is so strong!! So handsome!!" Luffy, wide-eyed and grinning, listens as locals explain the earlier chaos. "EhhI The ship mechanics beat the piratesI" he asks. A bystander replies, "But as usual, they got taken care of by the carpenters." Another adds, "HnI Oh. There were some pirates causing trouble in the shipyard." Luffy's companion notes, "Anyways, the crowd gathered here to see what happened." The man continues, "Yeah. You must be a sailor, yesI They never learn." Luffy beams, "That sounds interesting." The carpenter proudly states, "They are all good at both combat and carpentry. They are the pride of Water Seven. The carpenters of the Galley-La Company are idols of the people in the city."

The Going Merry floats on calm seas near a rocky coastline under scattered clouds. Aboard the ship, a goggled figure with spiky hair peers into a dim interior and says, "...! I thought you're asleep..." Inside, a dark silhouette suddenly lunges with a sword. Impact lines and motion effects explode across the panels as the intruder strikes. The goggled man reacts in shock. A close-up reveals a stern, scarred face with intense eyes glaring forward. The figure demands, "Who... THE HELL ARE YOUI"
