Two days before the final battle, narration states the allied forces number 4,200 strong. In total, they turn back a little. At the promised port, a large group of samurai and allies cheers with weapons raised: "WE SHALL MEET AT THE PROMISED PORT!!! YEAH!!" Another voice declares: "WE SHOULD USE THE TIME WE HAVE LEFT TO PREPARE AND START MOVING TOWARDS THE RENDEZVOUS POINT!!" A stern man with a topknot shouts, "WELL DONE, EVERYONE!!" Near the docks labeled "KURI-PORT ITACHI", a large man with a scar yells, "YOU CAN COUNT ON US, BIG BRO FRANO-SUKE!!!" Others respond, "WE JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE OUR SHIPS ARE IN POSITION AT THE PROMISED TIME, ALL RIGHT!I YEAH!!" and "ALL RIGHT!! LET'S MAKE SURE WE HAVE ENOUGH SHIPS READY FOR 5,000 PEOPLE!!"

Franky thanks two shipwrights: "YOU TWO ARE AMAZING SHIPWRIGHTS!!" They reply, "OKAY!! THANKS FOR THE HELP!!" Usopp announces, "WE'LL BE ABOARD THE SUNNY FOR THE FINAL BATTLE!!" and "OKAY, WE'RE HEADING TO AMIGASA VILLAGE TO MEET UP WITH THE REST OF OUR CREW." Signs point to Port Itachi and Amigasa Village. A massive crowd roars "YEEAAAH!!! THE BEASTS PIRATES!!!" as a long-haired warrior with a club and a braided fighter raise fists, shouting "OF COURSE WE ARE!! LET'S CRUSH...!!" In a weapons stockpile, a man with a cannon says, "I DO NOT KNOW IF THESE ARE USABLE, BUT WE HAVE... PLENTY OF WEAPONS HERE THAT WERE GOING TO BE EXPORTED." Another orders, "GATHER ANYTHING THAT CAN BE USED AS ARMOUR HERE!!" while a third adds, "O-CHOU IS BRINGING THE WEAPONS FROM RINGO!!" A sign declares "ALL AROUND WANO..."

The group discusses their strategy in the forest. "Once they depart for Onigashima, the capital will commence the celebrations for the Fire Festival!!" one declares. "On the day of the final battle, the shogun's procession will march from the capital to the port," another explains over a map labeled Flower Capital and Port Habu. "We will draw unwanted attention... If we assemble too early..." a bearded man warns. "No one will pay us any mind!!" They agree to proceed with caution. "We should proceed with caution so they have no reason to alert Onigashima!!" "YEAH!!" In the next panels, they note government officials remain on the mainland and the pair of birds indicate assembly before sunset. At Kuri-Amigasa Village, armored figures celebrate. "This armour is for true warriors!! YOHHOHO!!" one laughs. "I wanna show this off to Usopp as soon as possible!!" "Awesome!! Look at this kabuto armour!!" "Of course!!" "Can we really wear these!I" a small figure asks.

The armored samurai stand proudly. "I feel way better about our chances now!!" one says. A massive figure in ornate armor roars, "I WON'T CUT HIM DOWN!!" as Kaido's face looms above. "KAIDOU, HUHI NOW THERE'S NO WAY..." A woman remarks, "Oh my, how cute! You look like insects." "WOW, BROPPER! YOU GUYS LOOK SO COOL~" Carrot cheers. Large SFX "ヘヘウッ!!" erupt. In the lower panels, Luffy grips the sword Enma. "WHOA!! YOU WANNA GO AT IT, THEN!I I'LL KILL YOU!!" someone shouts. "ENMA!" The blade slashes with "SLASH". "You might need it though... your bounty is lower than mine, after all," a voice notes. "Nah... it'd just slow me down," Luffy replies. "Aren't you gonna wear that stuff, tooI" another asks. "WHAT ARE THOSE TWO DOING!I" a woman yells in shock.

The group continues planning in the woods. "The seasons aren't very consistent on the mainland, either..." "What does that meanI" "So it'll be cold!I" "Orochi mentioned that Onigashima's entrance is always in winter..." Nami notes. "It'd be perfect for us if the climate is cold there, since we're covered in fur." The minks react excitedly. "That's right! If all the minks are able to fight the way Carrot did, it'd be a major advantage for our side!!" Carrot and a blonde mink smile with hearts. The Inuarashi Musketeers—Giovanni, Concelot, and Shishilian—are introduced with SFX "ガルル". "There'll definitely be a full moon that night, but if it is hidden behind the clouds, it won't be much use to us," they discuss. "The weather conditions, rather than the climate itself!!" "That means that our biggest worry should be..." In the final panels, Wanda appears. "What's wrong, LuffyI" Luffy looks concerned. "Regardless, we need Master Nekomamushi and the guardians to make it back in time... So whether we'll be able to use Sulong will depend on our luck..." she says.

On a rocky shore, a cloaked figure sits as a samurai stands watch. "He's the reason we were able to escape!!" the cloaked one says. "BIG MOM IS HERE, BUT... JINBE STILL HASN'T COME!!" Luffy shouts in panic. In close panels, Luffy yells desperately, "YOU MUST COME!!" "WE'LL WAIT FOR YOU AT WANO!!" "DON'T FORGET... JINBE!!" "THE REAR GUARD!! PLEASE LEAVE IT TO ME!!" Luffy declares, "I AM YOUR CAPTAIN NOW!!" Below, allies react. "HE'S DEFINITELY ALIVE!!" "HE'LL COME!!" "If he's still alive, he'll come." "There's still time." "I'm sure he'll be a welcome addition." "HE TOOK CARE OF HIS LOOSE ENDS SO HE COULD JOIN US!!" a samurai exclaims as the group looks out over the cliffs.

In the outskirts of the Flower Capital-Ebisu Town, worried villagers discuss their dwindling resources. "We may not be able to participate in tomorrow's fire festival, but at least we'll be able to afford some water with this!!" one man exclaims with a grin. Nearby, others mutter about a recent robbery: "There wasn't any news of a robbery in the capital though, was there!I" and "The witching hour boy came last night!!" A large panel shows the mountain hideout of the bandits being burned to the ground. In Kuri-Okobore Town, furious locals confront a towering figure. "Steal food from our farm, instead of coming for revenge!I" they shout. The massive Beasts Pirates Headliner Holdem looms over them, growling "GRRRR..." while a small samurai-like man whispers, "If the rumour about the Nine Red Scabbards returning is true..." Holdem snarls back, "You look like you know something about it...!!" The crowd panics: "What should we do!I If that is the case, we cannot give them away!! Maybe they are responsible for the missing food!I" Holdem roars, "WHAT ARE YOU LOT MUMBLING ABOUT!!I"

O-Tsuru, Kin'emon's wife, stands tall in her kimono and declares, "Just do not lay another hand on these people!! I will show you the way!" A flashback panel shows her confronting bandits: "You will see if you follow me... although, it will be a long journey..." and "Show me!I So you know what happened!I" The scene returns to the present where she firmly states, "They must have gathered a lot of people to require all that food... Kin'emon, you really must be back in Wano, rightI I could not believe it when I met Kikunojo again. I will not allow them to thwart your plans!! Please return this country to the Kozuki clan!! Leave this to me!!" The crowd reacts in shock: "HUH...!I" and "HUH...!I" O-Tsuru continues, "Getting enough food to eat our fill was a dream come true!! None of us would mind dying after that!! That is right, you do not know need to worry about us!!" Someone cries out, "O-Tsuru!! There is no need to cover for us!!"

High above Kuri Beach, two winged figures soar through the sky. One with a massive bird-like form says, "It's really here..." while the other replies, "It's true after all..." A voice commands, "Stop lollygagging and do as I told you!!" Below, a small creature and butterfly-like figure approach a cave entrance marked "Kuri Beach". An explosion erupts violently with massive smoke and debris: "Excellent...!!" one figure laughs, "MUHAHAHAHA!!" while another declares, "It's been destroyed!!" The blast rocks the rocky coastline as birds scatter.

Explosions tear through the great bridge linking Kibi and Udon. "Is this really okay!I Isn't this bridge important!I" someone yells. A stern voice orders, "Silence!! Just move onto the next one!!" The destruction continues as another bridge connecting Ringo and Hakumai collapses amid smoke and debris. "Why did this have to happen now!I...Now we cannot cross!!" a panicked figure shouts. "Look!! The bridge connecting the two regions is...!!" Holdem appears with a wicked grin, raising a finger and declaring, "Next up!!" At Kuri-Port Itachi, ships are blasted apart in massive fireballs. "These ships will never sail again!!" a voice states. Holdem laughs triumphantly, "Good, just as planned!! MUHAHAHA!! Next up!!"

A narrator reflects on the unbelievable events: "WELL, EVEN IF I HAD SEEN THEM... IT WOULD STILL BE HARD TO BELIEVE!!" The Bridge Linking Kuri and Udon explodes in a massive blast. Another voice wonders, "FROM WITHIN A BURNING CASTLE NO LESS!I...IT IS TRUE THAT THEIR HEADS WERE NEVER FOUND, SO I COULD NEVER BE CERTAIN OF THEIR DEATHS..." A samurai ponders, "COULD THEY REALLY HAVE LEAPT 20 YEARS FORWARD THROUGH TIME...!I" and adds, "I HAVE YET TO SEE THE SAMURAI MYSELF, BUT..." In a grand hall, a retainer shouts, "HE MADE ME A LAUGHING STOCK...!!!" while the central figure laughs wildly, "IT WAS ALL A PRANK!! WAHAHA HA!!" The speaker continues, "THEY WERE ALREADY DOUBTING ME, AFTER ALL....TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THAT FOOL YASUIE CAUSED SOME DISCORD FOR MY RETAINERS..." Another notes the reports were accurate despite initial doubt. The scene closes on a massive close-up of the laughing man declaring, "MUHAHAHA!! SO LONG AS I AM THE ONE WITH THE POWER!! IT MATTERS NOT WHETHER OTHERS TAKE MY WORDS SERIOUSLY..."

A figure states, "HOWEVER... NOT A SINGLE PERSON WILL SHOW UP!!" while viewing a map of Wano labeled with regions: Kibi, Ringo, Flower Capital, Hakumai, Kuri, Udon, Port Tokage. Another notes, "4,000 PEOPLE!I IT IS QUITE IMPRESSIVE THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO GATHER SO MANY..." and questions, "IF I BLOCK EVERY ROUTE LEADING TO PORT TOKAGE......I WONDER WHAT THEY'LL DO!I" A dramatic scene shows an explosion and declares, "THEY WILL NOT EVEN BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE REVENGE!!" with narration: "THE GHOSTS OF THE RED SCABBARDS SHALL KNOW TRUE DESPAIR... ONCE THEY REALISE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN ABANDONED!!" The page shifts to the present with massive waves and the label "UDON-PORT TOKAGE" as a ship struggles in the storm, marked "BACK IN THE PRESENT..."

On a chaotic dock amid crashing waves, someone yells, "IF WE GO NOW, IT WILL JUST BE SUICIDE!! WE CAN TRY AGAIN AT A LATER DATE!! THE NEXT CHANCE WE GET, WE CAN..." A voice commands, "STOP IT, ALL OF YOU!!!" A fierce close-up shows a man shouting, "OUR CAPTURE OF UDON WILL BE EXPOSED!! AND THEN KAIDO WILL SEND HIS ENTIRE ARMY TO HUNT DOWN EACH AND EVERY REBEL!! WE CAN NOT AFFORD TO WAIT ANOTHER YEAR!! WE WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER CHANCE TO DO THIS DISCREETLY!!" Further panels show desperate retainers arguing, "THEY COVERED FOR US AND THEIR TOWN WAS BURNT TO THE GROUND!! THE RESIDENTS OF OKOBORE PUT THEIR TRUST IN US TO WIN THIS FINAL BATTLE... I AM SURE YOU HEARD THE REPORTS OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN KURI!! WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STEAL ANY MORE FOOD, EITHER!!"

Amid the storm, voices plead, "WOULD YOU REALLY COMMAND US TO RUN AWAY AGAIN AND LIVE THE REST OF OUR LIVES IN SHAME!!!I" and "PLEASE LET US GO, LORD MOMONOSUKE!! MY WIFE WAS THERE!!" A scarred man replies, "YOUR FATHER WAS ALONE AT FIRST, TOO." Another commands, "DO NOT DECIDE FOR ME!!" while others shout, "TOGETHER WITH LADY HIYORI, YOU CAN SURVIVE!! LIVE AND..." and "WHAT WILL BECOME OF ME, THEN!I" The group of samurai argues fiercely: "WE WERE JUST A RAG-TAG GROUP OF AMATEURS...!!! NONE OF US WOULD HAVE BECOME SAMURAI!! IF WE NEVER MET LORD ODEN..." A central armored figure stands resolute as the waves rage and a "SLASH" sound effect cuts through the tension.

A group of determined samurai stand together under pouring rain, their faces set with resolve. One declares, "AS LORD ODEN'S SAMURAI, UNTIL THE BITTER END." Another continues, "WE MUST CARRY OUT OUR DUTY... AND THAT IS WHY..." Their voices rise in unison as they affirm their purpose. In a close panel, a fierce samurai shouts, "...IN TIME, ITS PURPOSE WILL BE FULFILLED!!!" and "AND THAT REASON IS DEEPLY CONNECTED TO THE KOZUKI CLAN..." A stern figure adds, "THERE IS A REASON WHY THIS COUNTRY HAS BEEN ISOLATED FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS!! LISTEN UP, EVERYONE...!!!" The scene erupts with a massive impact sound "ベベんっ!!!" as the samurai proclaim, "WE MUST OPEN WANO'S BORDERS!!! IN ORDER FOR THE TIDES OF THIS WORLD TO TURN..." A caption box reads, "IN THE PAST... 39 YEARS AGO - THE FLOWER CAPITAL," revealing a grand panoramic view of the bustling capital with its pagodas, bridges, and crowded streets under dramatic clouds.

Panic spreads through the Flower Capital as townspeople react to an approaching figure. Voices shout, "HIDE THE LIVESTOCK!!" "HURRY!! HERE HE COMES!!" "CLOSE UP SHOP!!" "HIDE YOUR WIVES!!!" "HEY, HIDE YOUR DAUGHTERS!" A narration box recalls, "AND DURING THIS ERA THERE WAS AN INFAMOUS, CHARISMATIC MAN IN THE FLOWER CAPITAL..." The massive silhouette of Kozuki Oden strides forward carrying large clubs, his overwhelming presence causing chaos. Onlookers yell, "HAS RETURNED!!" "KOZUKI ODEN..." "HE FAILED TO SET SAIL AGAIN!!" "HURRY UP AND DIE ALREADY!!" "THIS COUNTRY IS TOO CRAMPED!!!" "AN OVERBEARING MAN!!!" Oden mutters, "AHH... HOW SUFFOCATING..." The page ends with the One Piece logo and "CH.959 /END."
