A ship sails across the sea under a bright sky as narration states 'AN ETERNAL POSE TO KOALA'S HOME.' A voice exclaims 'WE FINALLY FOUND IT...' while another shouts 'NYUUUUU UUUU!! KOALA!! YOU'RE GONNA BE ABLE TO GO HOME!!' Koala stands nervously on deck in a new dress, sweat drops visible as she fidgets with the collar. In flashbacks, a fish-man with a tattooed head laughs 'AHAHA HA! YOU LOOK DIFFERENT.' while Koala forces a 'SMILE'. Crew members present the outfit, saying 'AND WE GOT YOU A NICE HAIRCUT AS WELL!' and 'DON'T START COMPLAINING AFTER WE WENT OF THE TROUBLE OF BUYING IT FOR YOU!' Koala replies 'I - I DON'T THINK THIS IS REALLY...' as one reassures her 'TRUST ME, YOUR MOTHER WILL BE DELIGHTED.' A sign labels her 'Koala (FORMER SLAVE)'.

Koala scrubs the deck on her hands and knees, replying 'I - I THINK I'LL CLEAN UP!' as a crewmate yells 'NYUUUUU!! YOU NEED TO FIX THAT HABIT OF WORKING WHENEVER YOU'RE UNCOMFORTABLE! THIS ISN'T MARIEJOA, YOU KNOW!!' Another fish-man with a topknot and '1TC' tattoo stands with arms crossed, declaring 'LET HER WORK IF SHE WANTS TO. THERE'S NO USE IN RUSHING HER. THIS KIND OF TRAUMA DOESN'T VANISH OVERNIGHT, YOU KNOW!' A scarred fish-man responds 'I SEE...' while a long-nosed crewmate grins and says 'YOU TELL HIM, ALADDIN...!! I GUESS YOU FORMER SLAVES UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER PRETTY GOOD, YEAHI' A label identifies the tattooed fish-man as 'SHIP'S DOCTOR OF THE SUN PIRATES Aladdin (BROTULA MERMAN, FORMER SOLDIER IN THE NEPTUNE ARMY)'.

Tensions rise on deck as a crewmate snaps 'YOU SHOULD BE MORE HONEST AN' ALL, BRAT! WHAT DID YOUR MOTHER TEACH YOU, EHI' while another growls 'GIVE IT A REST, WOULD YOU, ARLONG...I!!' A fish-man with a saw-like nose points aggressively, shouting 'SHE'S A HUMAN!! NO DIFFERENT FROM THOSE MONSTERS THAT KEPT YOU IMPRISONED!!! GO ON, ADMIT IT!! REALLY, YOU WANT TO KILL THE BRAT HERE AND NOW, DON'T YAI!!' Koala watches with a forced 'SMILE' as the long-nosed fish-man laughs 'YOUR PARENTS LOOK DOWN ON US JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE HUMANS, RIGHTI! SHAHA AHAHAHAH!' Arlong spreads his arms, declaring 'AND THEIR CHILDREN LEARN FROM THEIR PARENTS TO THINK THE SAME WAY...!! UNLESS SOMEBODY PUTS 'EM IN THEIR PLACE, THAT AIN'T EVER GONNA CHANGE!! THAT'S THE WAY OF HUMAN SOCIETY!! THEY FOOL THEMSELVES INTO BELIEVING THAT THEIR OWN RACE IS THE GREATEST AND MOST SPLENDID IN THE WORLD!' A crewmate adds 'THOSE SCORNFUL LOOKS THE HUMANS GIVE US WHEREVER WE GO!! IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE BOSS'S ORDERS, I'D'VE SORTED THEM OUT PRETTY FAST!' while another yells 'OH, YOU'VE ALL SEEN IT FOR YOURSELVES IN THE THREE YEARS WE'VE BEEN AT SEA...!!'

A large fish-man with a wide grin and curly hair leans forward, declaring, "...AS THOUGH THEY ARE AFRAID OF US." Beside him, another fish-man in a bowler hat adds, "IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO ME..." In the next panel, a tall fish-man in a spotted coat stands with a small girl, stating, "CERTAINLY, SOME HUMANS LOOK AT US WITH SCORN. BUT OTHERS... I SEE SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN THEIR EYES." The young girl with pigtails and wide eyes replies softly, "...THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOU..." A fish-man questions, "THAT'S BECAUSE... IS IT BECAUSE WE ARE PIRATES...I WHAT IS THERE TO BE SO AFRAID OF...I" as a large "ビズン...!" sound effect erupts. Chaos breaks out with shouts of "WRONG! IT'S OVER HERE!" "THERE!!" "WHERE IS IT NOWI" and "WILL THINGS CHANGE IF WE LEARN MORE ABOUT ONE ANOTHER...I" A fish-man with a scar yells "AH!" while the girl smiles. The tall fish-man concludes, "WE STILL KNOW NEXT TO NOTHING ABOUT HUMANITY AS A WHOLE!!" The girl wonders aloud, "FEAR OF... THE UN-KNOWN...I!"

The Sun Pirates burst into a bustling town square under a "SHOPPING" sign. Fisher Tiger leaps with a massive sack as panicked townspeople flee amid "がちゃがちゃ" and "どよ" sound effects. In the next spread, the crew celebrates wildly: fish-men and humans alike raise arms, splash water, and cheer with "ぎゃはははははは" laughter. A fish-man with a striped head glares while bottles fly and a feast is prepared. Koala peeks from the side with a smile as the pirates party, one holding a tray labeled "TAIYOU" and another waving a gun. The scene overflows with motion lines, bubbles, and joyful chaos as the crew enjoys their moment on land.

A narration box reads, "A FEW WEEKS LATER... THE GRAND LINE, FOOLSHOUT ISLAND." Fisher Tiger stands on the shore and tells Koala, "STEP OUT ONTO THE SHORE. THIS IS YOUR HOMELAND...!!!" Koala cries out, "KOALA!" as the crew reacts. Arlong shouts, "OOHH, STOP CRYING. GUEHHHH! DON'T GO, KOALA! LET'S ALL KEEP SAILING TOGETHER!!" while another fish-man yells, "YOU'RE A GREAT KID!!!!!! EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE A HUMAN!!" Fisher Tiger asks, "WHICH WAY IS YOUR VILLAGEI I'LL TAKE YOU AS FAR AS THE ENTRANCE." Koala tearfully waves goodbye, saying, "TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!! THAT LOTS OF FISHMEN ARE REALLY NICE PEOPLE!! I'LL TELL EVERYONE IN THE VILLAGE!!" The crew cheers "KOALA!!!" as she departs, with hands waving and "あぁぁぁぁぁ" cries echoing.

Koala squeezes a fish-man's hand and runs ahead. Fisher Tiger walks with her toward the village. Arlong rages, "TRY THINKING ABOUT IT FOR A SECOND. WHAT GOOD IS IT GOING TO DO IF ONE GIRL TELLS THE VILLAGERS THAT FISHMEN ARE GOOD PEOPLEI! JUST LIKE OTOHIME'S PLEAS, HER WORDS WILL JUST FALL ON EMPTY EARS!!" Jinbe replies, "JIMBEI... YOU'VE CHANGED AN AWFUL LOT IN THESE PAST THREE YEARS." Arlong snaps, "WHY, ARLONG, YOU...!!! DAMMIT, ARLONG...!!! BY THE TIME SHE GROWS UP, SHE'LL BE JUST LIKE THE REST OF 'EM." Villagers appear in the distance as Koala waves farewell with tears, the crew watching from afar amid motion lines and shocked expressions.

In a vast desert dotted with towering cacti, a lone cloaked figure walks away from a distant town under a cloudy sky. Far behind him, another figure kneels on the ground as distant voices cry out in anguish. Villagers and a group of companions watch the departure with heavy emotion. Several people, including a bandaged young man and fish-men, stand together as tears stream down their faces. The cloaked man continues walking into the distance. A close-up reveals the young bandaged figure crying intensely before breaking into a wide, tearful smile of joy and relief, hand raised as if waving or reaching out.

Rear Admiral Strawberry looms in close-up, sweat flying as he shouts, "MY NAME IS REAR ADMIRAL STRAWBERRY, OF MARINE HQ!!!" In the desert landscape, armed marines confront the cloaked figure. Strawberry continues, "THE PEOPLE OF THE VILLAGE YOU JUST LEFT, TOO, HAVE KINDLY AGREED TO OUR CAUSING A SLIGHT DISTURBANCE HERE. IN RETURN, THAT IS, FOR OUR AGREEMENT TO OVERLOOK THEIR POSSESSION OF A CERTAIN GIRL WHO RIGHTFULLY BELONGS TO THE TENRYUUBITO. WE RECEIVED WORD FROM THE RESIDENTS OF A CERTAIN ISLAND... THAT YOU WOULD BE VISITING THIS PLACE!!" The cloaked man stands firm as impact lines and shouts erupt. A marine with a rifle declares, "...AND YOUR FLIGHT. YOUR RAID... YOU ARE GUILTY OF TWO CRIMES. AS YOU SHOULD BE WELL AWARE..."

Explosions and gunfire rock the scene as "ドッドッドッドッド!!" and "ドドドドン!!" erupt. A fish-man pirate yells, "YOU SEE...I! THIS IS HOW HUMANS WORK!!! THIS WAS A TRAP!! IT'S THE MARINES... THEY HAVE US SURROUNDED!! CHUU!!" Another shouts, "HEY - LOOK OVER THERE!! OUT AT SEA!! THEY CAME FROM THE DIRECTION THE BOSS HEADED IN!! WHAT WERE THOSE GUNSHOTS...I!!!" On the ship, panic spreads as a crewmate screams, "AAAAA GHHH HHHH!!! EVERYONE, ABANDON SHIP!! RETREAT TO THE SEA BOTTOM!!! BOSS TI IS IN TROUBLE...!"

Chaos erupts on the battlefield as marines fire wildly. One yells, "WHAT'S WITH THIS GUYI!! HE JUST WON'T GO DOWN!!!" Another reacts with shock, "EHI" A marine realizes, "DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN... THIS IS THE MAN WHO SUCCESSFULLY RAIDED MARIEJOA ALL ON HIS OWN!!!" Massive impacts and "ゴォォン!!!!" shake the area. A fish-man cries out, "BOSS TI!!!" while another shouts, "IT'S THE SUN PIRATES!!!" A marine questions, "REAR ADMIRAL!!" and another demands, "WHERE THE HECK IS ALL THIS STRENGTH COMING FROMI!!!" The cloaked figure stands amid the destruction as "...SO THAT IS..." echoes.

The Sun Pirates overwhelm a Marine vessel in a fierce raid. Crew members shout "OUR SHIP'S DONE FOR!!!" and "CURSE YOU, MARINEEES!!!" as they fight. One yells "WE'RE STEALING ONE OF THE MARINE VESSELS!!!" while another cheers "YEAHHH HHHH!!!" The ship is seized and the crew escapes into open waters. A wide view shows the vessel sailing away from an island amid dramatic sound effects. Below, a young girl with large eyes reacts with surprise "I" as a voice notes "...IT'S NOTHING..." and another asks "WHAT'S ALL THAT NOISEI" A background figure mutters "MUMMY..." Narration boxes explain: "HOWEVER, THEY SUCCEEDED IN STEALING A MARINE VESSEL AND ESCAPING TO OPEN WATERS..." and "...THE SUN PIRATES WERE TAKEN UNAWARES, AND THEIR CAPTAIN MORTALLY WOUNDED... AS A RESULT OF THE AMBUSH..." A crew member cries out "BOSS SSS!!"

Inside the ship, crew members urgently plead with their wounded captain. One warns "YOU'VE LOST TOO MUCH BLOOD!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BLOOD TRANSFUSION SOON, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT...!!!" Another adds "YOUR BLOOD TYPE IS EXTREMELY RARE... THERE'S NOBODY IN OUR CREW WHO IS A SUITABLE MATCH!!" The crew insists "THAT'S RIGHT! HUMAN BLOOD IS NO DIFFERENT FROM OUR OWN!!! WE CAN USE IT TO SAVE YOU...!!! IT'S YOUR ONLY CHANCE!!!" and notes "...THE BLOOD SAMPLES STORED ON THIS SHIP... *PANT*... ARE HUMAN BLOOD... ARE THEY NOT...I!" The massive shark-like captain roars in refusal: "I FORBID IT!!! I DON'T WANT TO LIVE ON WITH THEIR BLOOD IN MY VEINS!!!" while panting heavily.

The captain continues his furious refusal: "I REFUSE TO BE IN THEIR DEBT!!! I WILL NOT ACCEPT THEIR PITY...!!!" and "THAT BLOOD IS TAINTED!!...IT'S THE BLOOD OF THOSE WHO HAVE SCORNED US ALL THEIR LIVES!!!" He declares "...TO THE HUMANS!!! I WILL NEVER SUBMIT..." A Marine ship labeled "MARINE" appears in the background. In flashback panels, the captain recounts his capture: "NOT LONG AFTER I SET OUT... *PANT*... I WAS CAPTURED!!!" and "THEY TOOK ME TO MARIEJOA... I WAS THERE FOR YEARS...!!!" A voice addresses him as "HUMANS, YOUR MAJESTY."

The captain reveals his past in anguish: "...A SLAVE!!! I WAS..." He explains "I MANAGED TO ESCAPE WITH MY LIFE... BUT I COULD NOT ABANDON THE OTHER SLAVES I HAD WITNESSED ALL AROUND ME..." and describes "...WAS THE MADNESS OF HUMANS... WHAT I WITNESSED THERE..." Crew members react with shock. One states "BUT OTOHIME... IS RIGHT! PEACE FOR EVERYONE - THAT IS WHAT WE SHOULD ALL STRIVE FOR!!" while another notes the trouble caused: "...AND AS A RESULT, CAUSED GREAT TROUBLE......TO QUEEN OTOHIME'S DESIGNS...!!!" The captain concludes "...LISTEN, ALL OF YOU... I HAVE LIVED ACCORDING TO MY SELFISH WISHES..."

Fisher Tiger lies gravely wounded inside a ship, bloodied and gasping as he clutches at his chest. A young girl with short hair stands nearby, her eyes wide. He begs desperately, "THAT'S WHY I BEG OF YOU!! DON'T TELL ANYTHING OF THIS TO THE PEOPLE OF FISHMAN ISLAND!! OF THE TRAGEDY THAT HAS BEFALLEN US!! OR OF OUR RAGE TOWARDS THE HUMANS!!" The girl replies softly, "BUT... WE'RE NOT THE ONES... WHO CAN REALLY CHANGE THINGS FOR OUR PEOPLE... IT'S ONLY THE NEXT GENERATION... CHILDREN LIKE KOALA, WHO STILL KNOW NOTHING... THAT CAN DO THAT...!!!" Tiger's inner voice continues, "...MY MIND CAN SEE THE TRUTH, BUT THE DEMON IN MY HEART STANDS FIRM!! MY BODY... REFUSES TO ACCEPT THEIR BLOOD!!! THERE ARE COUNTLESS KIND-HEARTED HUMANS OUT THERE IN THIS WORLD!! I UNDERSTAND THAT!!! AND YET... AS WE DIE AND VANISH FROM THIS WORLD...!!! WE LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND US BUT RESENTMENT AND HATRED!!!" In a massive close-up, Tiger roars with tears streaming down his face, "...LOVE THE HUMANS ANY MORE...!!!! IT'S TOO LATE FOR ME...!!! I CAN'T..."

Surrounded by weeping fish-men on the ship deck, Fisher Tiger is hailed as a hero. One shouts, "YOU ARE THE HERO OF FISHMAN ISLAND!!! AS FAR AS ALL THE SLAVES YOU RELEASED ARE CONCERNED... YOU ARE OUR SAVIOUR, AND WE OWE YOU A LIFELONG DEBT!!!" Another pleads, "BOSS!! NO MATTER WHAT YOU MIGHT SAY... DON'T SAY SUCH THINGS, BOSS!! YOU HAVE TO LIVE!! PLEASE!!! THERE IS STILL LIFE LEFT IN YOU!!!" Tiger smiles faintly and murmurs, "THAT MAKES ME HAPPY..." A narration box states, "THUS ENDED THE LIFE......OF FISHER TIGER, CAPTAIN OF THE SUN PIRATES..." As his body goes limp with a massive "BOOOOOO OOSS!!!" sound effect and dramatic impact lines, close-ups show his final defiant glare. He growls, "IF THERE'S NOBODY ELSE WHO'LL CHALLENGE ME, THEN I WILL TAKE CHARGE OF THE FISHMAN DISTRICT!! AND I WILL PROTECT ALL THOSE BENEATH ME!!! MY NAME IS TIGER!!"

On a rocky shore with ships in the distance, a tall man in a striped suit and hat stands over a kneeling figure. A sign reads "KOALA'S HOMELAND, FOOLSHOUT ISLAND." Arlong snarls at the suited man, "SO YOU'RE ARLONG, EHHI NOW, WHY...... WOULD YOU DECIDE..." The suited man replies calmly, "I'LL GO TO THE ISLAND THAT SENT THE REPORT, TOO...! I'M HERE TO SLAUGHTER EVERY LAST ONE OF THE HUMANS WHO SOLD OUT BIG BRO TI!!!!...TO COME CRAWLING BACK HEREI" A close-up shows Fisher Tiger's bloodied face as he yells, "FISHER TIGER IS DEAD!! MURDERED BY YOU AND YOUR INFERIOR KIND!!!" The suited man, identified by a sign as "MARINE HQ VICE ADMIRAL Borsalino (THE FUTURE ADMIRAL KIZARU)," grins and says, "AT ANY RATE... I THINK YOU NEED TO COME ALONG WITH MEEE! OHHHHHI IS THAT RIGHTI DEAD, IS HE...I" Koala cowers on the ground, crying "URG HHH...!!!" while the scene erupts with motion lines and a massive explosion in the background labeled "NGUAA ARRHH HHHHH!!"
