Crowds of fish-men cheer wildly as narration declares Fisher Tiger the hero of Fishman Island. "HE PUT THE TENRYUUBITO IN THEIR PLACE!!" "HE DID WHAT NOBODY'S EVER BEEN ABLE TO DO BEFORE!" A massive panel shows the chaos of the assault. The scene shifts to Ryugu Palace where a mermaid with a white mane questions, "YOU MEAN TO FREE THE SLAVESI!" while a fish-man with a massive afro and beard looms in close-up, eyes blazing. He roars, "I HAVE MADE MY DECISION!!!" and "I CANNOT BEAR IT...!! THE LIFE OF A SLAVE IS A HELL - DO YOU DENY ITI!" Another voice adds, "EVEN NOW, AS WE STAND HERE, THEY ARE SUFFERING TORMENTS NO PERSON SHOULD HAVE TO FACE...!!"

A fish-man with a cap shouts, "...HUMANS, YOUR MAJESTY!!!" Inside the grand throne room, King Neptune sits heavily on his ornate throne, asking, "...ON YOUR LATEST JOURNEY...I!" and "WHAT IN THE WORLD DID YOU WITNESS..." Queen Otohime appears in close-up, tears streaming down her face as she covers her mouth. She recalls, "THE VOICE THAT I HEARD FROM HIS HEART... WAS TORN IN A TERRIBLE SCREAM..." and "YET WHEN HE CAME TO US THAT DAY... I COULD NOT BEAR TO STOP HIM." Narration continues, "WE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE NEXT REVERIE... THE STANDING OF FISHMAN ISLAND HAS FALLEN ONCE MORE..." Neptune slumps asleep on his throne with "ZZZ ZZZ" while Otohime embraces a small child.

In a bustling Fish-Man Island marketplace, Queen Otohime addresses the crowd from a raised platform. "ABOVE THE WAVES, UNDER THE RAYS OF THE SUN!! WE MUST LEARN OF THEIR WAYS!!" she declares passionately. "LET US LIVE TOGETHER WITH THE HUMANS!!" Nearby, a young mermaid with curly hair smiles and blows a playful kiss, "CHUU", while nudging a companion. The mood shifts as Otohime confronts a sweating, wide-eyed man in a hat. "THIS INCIDENT HAS BROUGHT US FURTHER APART FROM THE HUMANS THAN EVER," she states. The man protests, "...SO RIGHT NOW, WE JUST CAN'T... BUT IN THE END, IT'S THE HUMANS THAT ARE IN THE WRONG..." Otohime pleads, "I... I CAN'T DO THAT, YOUR MAJESTY. THE WHOLE ISLAND IS UNITED IN THEIR SUPPORT OF TIGER-SAN'S GREAT DEEDS." The man shouts, "YOU!! SIGN THE DOCUMENT!!" Otohime turns to the crowd with fiery determination: "LEND ME YOUR SUPPORT, FOR THE SAKE OF THE DAY WHEN OUR NATION MAY ONCE AGAIN TAKE PART IN THE REVERIE!!! PERHAPS YOU ARE RIGHT, AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE RIGHT NOW!! BUT WHAT ABOUT IN SEVEN YEARSI! OR ELEVEN YEARSI! OR FIFTEENI! I CARE NOT WHEN!!"

In the shadowed alleys of the Fish-Man District, residents react to news of Fisher Tiger. "I HEAR HE SAVED TONS OF CAPTIVE FISHMEN!!" one shouts. "HE USED TO BE THE BOSS AROUND HERE, AFTER ALL!!" another adds. "THAT FISHER TIGER'S REALLY SOMETHING, HUHI!" A group of young fish-men including Daruma, Zeo, Hordy Jones, Ikaros Muchi, and Dosun gather excitedly around a newspaper. "ARLONG-SAN WAS ALWAYS SAYING HUMANS ARE NOTHING BUT TRASH! KYAKYAH!!" "HE PUT THOSE ANNOYING HUMANS IN THEIR PLACE!" "HE REALLY GOT THEM GOOD!!" "LOOKS LIKE THE TENRYUUBITO ARE FURIOUS!!" Hordy Jones grins widely. "YOU GO, SUN PIRATES!! TAKE 'EM ALL DOWN!!" "IF WE WERE STRONGER, WE COULD'VE GONE WITH 'EM, HIIH!!" "THEY'RE AMAZING, DOSUN!! EVEN NOW, THE SUN PIRATES ARE STORMING THE WORLD ABOVE THE SEA, BEATING UP ALL THOSE NASTY HUMANS, DOSUN!!" "KILL ALL THE HUMANS!! JAHAHAHA HAH!!!!"

On the open sea, a Marine ship labeled "MARINE 2" sails the Grand Line. "AIM MORE CAREFULLY!!" an officer yells as underwater attackers strike. "WE'RE TRYING TO, BUT THEY KEEP ON DISAPPEARING UNDER THE WATER...!!" Chaos erupts as fish-men burst from below. Massive impact sounds "ギュッ" and "ドカーン" shake the vessel. A fish-man with wild hair grapples a Marine, "GUAA AAAHH HH!!!" while another Marine screams "AAA RGH HH!" and "HNG HH!!" The attackers roar with laughter, "SHAHA AHAHA HAH!!!" and "HAHHH!!" Debris flies as the ship tilts violently under the relentless assault.

The battle intensifies aboard the Marine vessel. A Rear Admiral with a scarred face swings his sword, shouting, "IF YOU DO, WE'LL BE WILLING TO LET YOU OFF -" but is cut off as fish-men swarm. "REAR ADMIRAL! SIR! THEY'RE ATTACKING FROM UNDERNEATH THE SHIP!!" A fish-man yells, "DAMN THESE FISHMAN SCUM!! HAND OVER ALL THE FORMER SLAVES!!!" while another blows a mocking kiss, "CHU". Combat rages with cries of "URGH HH!!", "MOHA HAHAH!! MOHAH, MOHAH!!!", "NYUU UU!!", and "UNGH H!!!" The Rear Admiral demands, "AND WHERE'S YOUR PROOF THERE'S ANY OF THOSE AROUND HEREI!" as former slaves are targeted amid the frenzy.

A brutal raid unfolds on the deck of a human ship. A massive fish-man pirate captain bellows orders: "MEN!! TAKE ALL THEIR VALUABLES AND FOOD SUPPLIES AND RETURN TO THE SHIP!!!" His crew cheers wildly, "YAAAA HHHHH HHH!!!" One human sailor is struck down with a pained "URGH!!...!!" The captain continues, "TAKE A LOOK AT THE BODIES OF MY CREW!!! I HEAR FORMER SLAVES ARE ALWAYS BRANDED WITH A SPECIFIC MARK!! DO YOU SEE THAT ON ANY OF THEMI!!" Underwater, fish-men surround sinking debris and a human in a bubble, one assuring, "DON'T WORRY... WE'LL SPARE YOU YOUR LIVES." A terrified human cries, "AAHH...." Back on deck, a fish-man shouts, "HOLD IT, ARLONG!!" Arlong snarls with a fierce grin, "YOUR CRIMEI! BEING A FILTHY HUMAN...." Laughing maniacally, "SHAHAH AHAHA HAH!!" he declares, "I SENTENCE YOU... TO DEATH!!" as chaos and impact lines fill the scene.

At Marine HQ in Marineford, a Marine reports: "...HAS BEEN SUNK!! THE VESSEL UNDER THE COMMAND OF REAR ADMIRAL CADAL OF BRANCH STATION 62... VICE ADMIRAL BORSALINO!" Borsalino, smoking, muses, "...THEY FOUND THEMSELVES SURROUNDED BY ENEMIES IN THE WATER ITSELF..." An aide replies, "OHHHHI HOW SCARY! I GUESS THAT'S UNDERWATER SPECIALISTS FOR YOU..." Borsalino continues, "I'M SURE I TOLD HIM TO JUST REPORT THEIR LOCATION TO ME..." Another asks, "OHHHI WHY DID HE ENGAGE THE ENEMYI" The discussion turns to the culprits: "...WITH A BUILD MATCHING THAT OF TIGER HIMSELF. BUT BEYOND THAT, WE HAVE NOTHING ON HIM. NOT EVEN A NAME..." Reports note the Arlong Pirates, a group of fish-men, have joined forces with Tiger and are causing trouble near Fish-Man Island. Borsalino concludes, "HOW TROUBLESOME..."

A massive ship sails the open sea under dramatic speed lines and seagulls. On deck, a heated argument erupts among the fish-man crew. One yells, "CAN'T THE BOTH OF YOU SEE YOU'RE GOING A LITTLE TOO FARI! THIS CREW IS NOT ON A SLAUGHTER MISSION...!! SO DON'T GET THE WRONG IDEA!!" Another retorts, "THE HELL WAS THAT FORI! WHO CARES WHAT I DO WITH A COUPLE OF INFERIOR BEINGS...I!! I SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED YOU ALL NOT TO KILL ANY OF THE HUMANS." A third fish-man demands, "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO LOWER YOURSELVES TO THEIR LEVELI!! IF WE START TAKING LIVES, THEN WE HAVE ALREADY LOST!!" The large captain growls, "BUT, BIG BRO T!! NO, 'BOSS'! IF I MAY SPEAK... IF THE ENEMY IS AIMING TO KILL, IT IS ONLY NATURAL THAT WE MEET THEM WITH SIMILAR FORCE!! THE NERVE OF THOSE HUMANS...!! EVERY LAST ONE OF THOSE HUMANS WAS READY TO TAKE YOUR LIFE...!!" Tension fills the air with sweat drops and intense stares.

The Sun Pirates captain stands firm on the ship deck, declaring their ideals: "WE OF THE SUN PIRATES FIGHT FOR 'FREEDOM' AND 'LIBERTY'. BUT ULTIMATELY, ALL I DID WAS FREE THOSE WHO WERE SUFFERING FROM THE OPPRESSION!! I MAY HAVE VIOLATED THEIR WORTHLESS LAWS... THE SAME GOES FOR MY ACTIONS AT MARIEJOA. OUR GOAL HERE IS NOT TO TAKE REVENGE FOR THE DISCRIMINATION WE HAVE SUFFERED!!" He warns, "...THEN IT WILL LEAD ONLY TO FURTHER TRAGEDY WHEN THE HUMANS TAKE THEIR OWN REVENGE IN RETURN. IF WE WALLOW IN OUR RESENTMENT AND START ACTIVELY TAKING REVENGE UPON THE HUMANS... AND THAT IS THE EXTENT OF IT!!! FUTURE GENERATIONS OF FISHMEN, WHO HAVE DONE NO WRONG, WILL SUFFER FOR THE PAIN WE HAVE CAUSED." The crew listens intently. He concludes, "WE WILL NOT TAKE A LIFE!!! BUT WE WILL STAND FIRM TO OUR MORALS. CERTAINLY, WE WILL FIGHT WITH AND STEAL FROM THOSE WHO PURSUE US..." A crew member replies, "UNDERSTOODI"

On the deck of the Sun Pirates ship, Arlong snarls with bared teeth, "THAT WAY, THEY WON'T DARE EVEN THINK ABOUT TAKING REVENGE ON US!!!" Another crewmate shouts, "THEN I SAY WE SHOULD JUST TAKE THE LOT OF 'EM OUT ONCE AND FOR ALL!!! BE CRUEL AND RUTHLESS!!! MAKE THE HUMANS COWER IN TERROR!!!" A third fish-man leans in, "HOW ABOUT THIS, THEN, BIG BROI! YOU THINK REVENGE WILL ONLY BREED MORE REVENGEI!" Arlong slams his fist, "THE HELL WAS THAT FOR, JIMBEI...I!" as the argument rages. Jimbei stands firm, replying, "THE ONE THING I FEAR ABOVE ALL ELSE......IS THE DEMON THAT LURKS WITHIN ME...!!!" The crew debates showing humans fear, with one declaring, "SO WE SHOW THEM!! MAKE SURE THEY'LL NEVER FORGET!!! TEACH THEM 'FEAR'!!!" Jimbei counters, "THAT IS THE IDEAL FOR WHICH WE ALL SHOULD STRIVE. THE PEACEFUL SOLUTION THAT QUEEN OTOHIME SEEKS..." as he walks away under the moonlight, the ship visible in the distance. An unseen voice calls after him, "JIMBEI...!!!"

A marine ship approaches the Sun Pirates vessel as a fish-man yells, "ENEMY APPROACH!!!" Another cries, "IT'S A PIRATE SHIP!!!" The crew reacts with shock, "THEY MEAN TO DEFEAT US AND EARN GLORY FOR THEMSELVES...!!! SO IT'S NOT JUST MARINES WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH, HUHI!" Queen Otohime pleads desperately, "PLEASE, I NEED YOUR SIGNATURES!!!" while fish-men shout, "WE CAN'T, YOUR MAJESTY!!! WE CAN'T LIVE WITH THE HUMANS!!!" The Sun Pirates attack the marines, with one roaring, "ATTACK!!" and another exclaiming, "THEY'VE GOT BOUNTIES!!! AWESOME!!!" A fish-man points at a wanted poster, "WORTHLESS HUMANS!!! WHAT ARE YOU, BLINDI!!...FOR BOSS TIGER AND JIMBEI-SAN!!" The poster clearly shows "DEAD OR ALIVE FISHER TIGER 230,000,000" and "DEAD OR ALIVE JINBE 76,000,000" as the battle erupts with impact lines and debris.

Twelve years ago on a certain island, a fish-man crew member bows, "WE HUMBLY BEG THIS OF YOUR CREW...!" A box reads, "IN THIS WAY, AROUND THREE YEARS PASSED. (12 YEARS AGO)" A young girl with messy hair stands smiling as a fish-man says, "...THANKS TO YOUR HEROIC DEEDS." Another notes, "HOWEVER, HER HOME IS VERY FAR FROM HERE, AND WE DO NOT POSSESS THE SEAFARING SKILLS TO TAKE HER THERE." The narration states, "THIS CHILD WAS ONE OF THE MANY FREED FROM MARIEJOA THREE YEARS AGO..." The girl beams and declares, "MY NAME'S KOALA!! I'M!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH..." while fish-men around her smile and react with surprise. A large fish-man looms nearby as the scene unfolds on the shore.

Aboard the Sun Pirates ship, a fish-man complains, "WHY DO I HAVE TO SHARE THIS SHIP WITH A HUMAN BRATI!!" Another replies, "BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE CIRCUMSTANCES." The young Koala smiles brightly on deck. Arlong snaps, "STOP SMIRKING AT ME LIKE THAT!! IT PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH!!" as he looms over her with a menacing glare. Koala continues smiling innocently. A fish-man mutters, "IT CERTAINLY IS A LITTLE CREEPY HOW SHE KEEPS ON SMILING." Another yells, "ARLONGSANAAAN!! SHE'S ONLY A CHILD!!" Koala scrubs the deck vigorously with "SCRUB SCRUB" and "SQUEAK SQUEAK" sounds while the crew watches in shock, one fish-man exclaiming "!I" as Arlong glares from the side.

A terrified young girl with short light hair kneels on the deck, bleeding from her head as slavers loom over her. She frantically apologizes in overlapping bubbles: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING...I", "I'M VERY SORRY...!!! I'M VERY SORRY...!!!", "SO PLEASE DON'T HIT ME ANY MORE!", "I'LL CLEAN THE SHIP WITHOUT RESTING!", "I'M VERY SORRY!!! I'LL WORK HARD!" A slaver notes "CHILD... YOU'RE BLEEDING..." The girl keeps smiling through tears, insisting "I WON'T CRY... NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS..." and "YES...!!! BUT I WANT TO SEE MY MOTHER, SO I HAVE TO BE BRAVE AND STAY ON THIS SHIP..." The slavers discuss how she has grown used to seeing slaves killed and now smiles to avoid punishment, with one saying "SHE'S A SLAVE THROUGH AND THROUGH, THIS ONE." She pleads "I PROMISE I'LL BE USEFUL, SO PLEASE DON'T KILL ME...!!!" and "IF I DON'T WORK HARD, YOU MIGHT KILL ME, RIGHTI"

A large fish-man boss orders "BRING THE BRAT... TO MY PERSONAL CABIN!!" as the ship sails. The girl is dragged forward while screaming "ぎゃあああああぁぁ!!" The boss presses a searing hot iron against her back, the brand sizzling with "SIZZLE" as smoke rises. He growls "NOW BANDAGE HER!! IT'S ROUGH, BUT IT'S THE ONLY WAY. THAT BRAND BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF THINGS BEST LEFT FORGOTTEN." The girl writhes in agony while the crew reacts with shock.

The young girl, now bandaged, smiles brightly and declares "AND WHY SHOULDN'T YOU CRY, KID!!! LISTEN, KID!! WE'RE NOT THE SAME... AS THOSE SLAVE-DRIVING MONSTERS!!" She continues "MY CREW...KILLS NOBODY...!!!" The fish-men stare in surprise. The boss raises his fist and commands "...BACK TO HER HOME!!! LET'S GET MOVING, MEN. WE'RE TAKING THIS GIRL..." The crew cheers and prepares to depart as the girl keeps smiling.
