Then they declare, "BUT THIS LINE MARKS THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN 'JUSTICE' AND 'EVIL'!! SO DON'T CROSS OVER TO OUR SIDE!! GOT IT, STRAWHAT CREW!?" Smoker sits with the S.A.D. container and asks, "WHOSE DUMB IDEA WAS THIS?" A Marine answers, "ALL I SAID WAS THAT YOU SHOULDN'T GET TOO FRIENDLY WITH THE PIRATES. I FIGURE IF WE'RE GOING TO DO SOMETHING, WE OUGHTA DO IT RIGHT, VICE ADMIRAL SMO!!" Smoker reports, "I'VE RECEIVED WORD FROM THE G-5 BASE. WE ARE TO WAIT HERE FOR A SHIP TO COME PICK US UP." The G-5 Marines also insist, "AND WE'RE LETTING THE MEDICAL TEAM COME AND GO AS THEY PLEASE!!" The rescue is over, but the absurd boundary shows that the Marines still need to pretend order exists.

Luffy talks to Brownbeard, who has chosen arrest after everything Caesar did. Luffy asks, "SO YOU'VE BEEN ARRESTED, BROWNBEARD?" Brownbeard answers sadly, "THAT'S TOO BAD, HUH. AND RIGHT AFTER WE BECAME FRIENDS... UOHOHO IT SEEMS THAT WE'VE STILL GOT A BIT OF POISON IN OUR BODIES, FROM THOSE EXPERIMENTS..." The G-5 Marines say they can receive treatment if they turn themselves in, but the Straw Hats object: "WHOA WHOA, STRAWHAT!! DIDN'T WE JUST SAY NOT TO COME OVER HERE!!?" and, "WHO CARES. YOU GUYS JUST WENT AND DECIDED THAT ON YOUR OWN!!" Brownbeard explains his decision clearly: "RATHER THAN BEING USED BY TRASH LIKE CAESAR, GOING TO PRISON SEEMS LIKE THE BETTER OPTION." He thanks Luffy: "THAT BLOW YOU DEALT TO CAESAR WAS REALLY SATISFYING. THANKS FOR THAT... AND ALL MY FRIENDS ARE GONE, AS WELL...!!" Brownbeard has lost his crew and his faith in Caesar, but he still leaves with enough dignity to choose his own punishment.

The calm breaks when Kin'emon is noticed among the debris. Someone screams, "HE'S KILLED THEM!!!" and another cries, "GYAHHHH!!" while panicked survivors see Kin'emon's separated body parts and assume the worst. A voice yells, "WHAT'S WITH ALL THE RACKET!!!" and another warns Luffy, "LUFFY, YOU'VE GOT TO STOP HIM!!!" Someone blames Law: "IF WE WERE GONNA USE THIS TANKER, YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME FROM THE START!! I WOULDN'T HAVE FOUGHT HERE IF I'D KNOWN I'D HAVE TO BE REPAIRED." The chaos makes it look as if Law has murdered or mutilated Kin'emon, and the frightened crowd cannot tell the difference between a fatal injury and Law's surgical Devil Fruit ability.

Kin'emon's condition causes a full panic. One person stammers, "M... M!! M...!! MURDERER... MURFUR...!!" and another shouts, "HE'S A MURDERER!!" Luffy recognizes the culprit: "IT'S LAW!! TORA-MAN?" The crowd asks, "WHO'S DOING WHAT, AND WHERE?" and then accuses Law: "AND WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!!?" Law gives the dry answer: "WELL, NOT EXACTLY. Luffy looks between them in confusion, but the reunion is beginning. What looked like a death scene becomes the moment Kin'emon and Momonosuke finally find each other again.

The boy transforms with a "DORON!!" and the caption identifies him: "CHILD OF WANO KUNI Momonosuke (KINEMON'S SON)." He stands in a Wano-style boy's kimono, embarrassed but proud. TANUKI-CHAN!!" and "TANUKI-KUN!!" Law explains, "IT WAS METHAMPHETAMINES... THERE'S NO ESCAPING THE FACT THAT THEIR HEALING PROCESS WILL BE LONG AND DIFFICULT." The horrific phrase "slicing up" refers to treatment, not harm. Law has used his ability to remove the poison and drug contamination from their bodies.

The children reunite with Chopper and explain what Law did for them. They run toward him shouting, "YOU... YOU'RE ALL ALRIGHT!?" and tell him, "BIG BRO WITH THE FLUFFY HEAD... Chopper asks, "OUR BODY PARTS WERE ALL FLYING AROUND! IT WAS FUNNY! IS THAT SO..." The unconscious Mocha lies nearby. One child says, "MOCHYA HASN'T OPENED HER EYES YET... MOCHYA FOUGHT FOR US, DIDN'T SHE?" Another remembers, "WE DIDN'T KNOW THAT MASTER WAS SUCH A BAD GUY," and asks, "HEY, TANUKI-KUN, MOCHYA'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT, RIGHT!?" Chopper promises the best future he can: "WE CAN ALL GO HOME TOGETHER, RIGHT TANUKI-KUN!?" and "BUT YES, OF COURSE!! YOU'LL ALL GO HOME AND LEAVE THIS NIGHTMARISH PLACE BEHIND."

Nami hears the children looking for her and realizes they still expect her to help them. They ask, "WHERE'S THAT ORANGE LADY!? WE WANT TO THANK HER!!" and, "SHE'S GONNA HELP US GET HOME, RIGHT!?" The memory of Mocha's plea hits Nami hard: "THESE KIDS!! LET'S SAVE THEM!!" Nami tries to explain that the Marines will take care of them, saying, "THE MARINES ARE GOING TO TAKE CARE OF YOU!!" but the children answer with trust, not logic: "ONCE YOU TELL CHILDREN THAT YOU'LL HELP THEM...!! Luffy answers through a mouthful of food, "ALRIGHT!! I GOT IT!!" The celebration is real, but Smoker knows Doflamingo's shadow has not vanished.

The party continues, but the G-5 Marines are pulled back to duty. The children laugh, the Marines drink, and the Straw Hats eat with the same group they were fleeing beside only minutes earlier. Then the Marines shout, "VICE ADMIRAL SMO-YAN!! WE'RE GONNA HEAD TO THE ISLAND ONE MORE TIME!!" Law pulls the larger plan back into focus. Smoker calls to him, "LAW," and says, "I KNOW IT SEEMS UNTHINKABLE TO IMAGINE THAT I'D KEEP A PROMISE TO A PIRATE..." Law replies, "IF YOU REALLY INTENDED TO SILENCE ME, YOU'VE HAD PLENTY OF CHANCES... AND I KNOW YOU'RE PLANNING ON USING STRAW-HAT TO START SOMETHING." Smoker asks the question behind the alliance: "YOU WANT TO KNOW WHICH YONKOU I'M THINKING OF?" then names one possibility: "HE'S A MAN CALLED 'KAIDOU OF THE HUNDRED BEASTS.'" Law also says, "USE, HUH... I WONDER WHO'S USING WHOM..." Smoker presses him: "UHHHH WELL AS LONG AS THE FIRST ONE ISN'T SHANKS, WHATEVER!" Luffy answers with a huge grin and an even larger ambition: "CUZ I'M PLANNING ON TAKING DOWN ALL OF THE YONKOU!!" The Punk Hazard victory becomes the first step toward open war with the emperors.
