PIRATE FLEET

In full color, the same relaxed scene continues. Usopp, now wearing a checkered bandana, blows the large horn. Nami, with bright orange hair, sits on the blanket holding a sheet of paper while gently touching the goat. Zoro lounges with hands behind his head, wearing a red vest. The group enjoys a picnic amid the mountain landscape under a bright sky.

Luffy stands amid shattered rocks after a powerful impact, SFX: DOSU...SO!! A defeated figure lies sprawled on the rubble. Luffy declares, "NOW YOU ONLY HAVE FIVE OF THOSE WEIRD CLAWS LEFT." Close-ups show Luffy grinning widely. Black Cat Pirates watch from a distance, one saying "THAT KID..." while others exclaim "CAPTAIN KURO'S "CAT'S CLAWS" WERE...!!!" A crew member sweats with "TSU..."

The Black Cat Pirates panic and shout "CLAHA-SAN! KILL HIM!!", "OKAY THEN, WE SHOULD CALL HIM CLAHADUDU... SOMETHING", "HIS NAME IN THE VILLAGE IS CLAHADUDU...", "HEY, DON'T CALL HIM CAPTAIN KURO!", and "CAPTAIN KURO! YOU STILL HAVE ONE HAND OF "CAT'S CLAWS" LEFT! KILL THE KID!!" SFX: GOOO... Kuro stands menacingly with extended claws, declaring "AFTER THIS IS DONE, ALL OF YOU MUST DIE... AND JANGO IS NO EXCEPTION..." He snaps "SHUT UP...!!!" The crew reacts in shock: "WHY DO WE HAVE TO DIE TOOI" "WHATI!" Luffy stares in surprise with "!I"

Jango swings his pendulum wildly, eyes heart-shaped, shouting "OPEN YOUR EYES, LITTLE GIRL!!!" with SFX: SWING...!!! In the forest clearing Kaya stands firm, declaring "I WON'T LET YOU HYPNOTIZE ME" and "I WON'T WRITE THE WILL." Jango leans in aggressively. A close-up shows Kaya sweating but resolute, replying simply "NO." At the bottom of the page the three Usopp Pirates lie sprawled on the ground, mouths open, snoring loudly with SFX: かーっ かーっ and the note SFX: ZZZ... ZZZ...

Jango grabs Kaya by the hair, yanking her head back as she screams "AHHH...!!!" He growls "IF THAT'S THE CASE, I'LL HAVE TO OPEN THEM BY FORCE." The Usopp Pirates recover and hurl pepper into Jango's face, yelling "BLIND PEPPER!!!" and "HERE'S OUR CHANCE!" Jango reels, eyes watering with SFX: ばふっ ばふっ. The boys cheer "HACHOO!! HACHOO!!" while rocks tumble from above. Jango looks up in panic as debris crashes down, crying "OH MOTHER!!!" with SFX: ガバっ ばっ!!

The three boys stand triumphantly, brandishing slingshot and bat, shouting "PREPARE FOR THE NEXT BATTLE PLAN!!" "AS IF WE WOULD FALL FOR THE SAME TRICK TWICE!" and "WE WERE ONLY PRETENDING TO BE HYPNOTIZED!!" Kaya calls out "BOYS!" with relief. In the forest Jango searches frantically, demanding "DAMN KIDS!! WHERE DID THEY HIDEI!" while breathing heavily. Close-ups show him furious, declaring "I SHOULD KILL THOSE KIDS FIRST!!" and noting "THE GIRL'S GONE TOO..."

High in the trees, Tamanegi leaps from branch to branch shouting "JUMP!" Below, a Black Cat Pirate in a striped helmet swings a massive axe and growls "DAMN IT..." The axe slams into the trunk as Tamanegi plummets. The boy screams "LIWAAAAAH..." while the pirate warns "DON'T GET TOO COCKY." Tamanegi crashes down yelling "TAMANEGI!!" as impact lines and debris fly; nearby, another crewman is knocked aside with a loud "ガシャッ" sound.

Tamanegi sprints through the forest yelling "OKAY!! THAT WAY! QUICKLY!!" Two Black Cat Pirates listen and one says "HEY! DID YOU HEAR THATI" "IT WAS THEIR VOICES" "I HEARD IT!" Kuro suddenly appears, grabs the boy by the collar and snarls "SINCE YOU'RE STUPID ENOUGH TO INTERFERE IN A REAL PIRATE'S BUSINESS, YOU CAN ALL GO TO HELL AND..." A massive crewman charges in roaring "YOU BASTARD!!!" and "DIE!!" while Kuro counters with "REPENT!!" SFX: DOGO!!

The Black Cat Pirates panic: "AS LONG AS JANGO CAN MAKE THAT WILL, THE PLAN CAN STILL SUCCEED!!" "IT'S STILL NOT TOO LATE TO ATTACK THE VILLAGE!!" "PLEASE STOP JOKING, CAPTAIN KURO!!" Kuro stands calmly and replies "EH..." In a rocky clearing he tells Kaya's butler "AS LONG AS YOUR CORPSES ARE HERE, I CAN PLACE ALL THE BLAME ON YOU" and "YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE PLAN." Klahadore adjusts his glasses and states "IT WOULD BE TO MY DISADVANTAGE TO LET ANYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT MY PLANS LIVE" and "I NEVER INTENDED TO LET ANY OF YOU LEAVE THE VILLAGE ALIVE."

The crew stares in shock as one cries "TO KILL ALL OF USI!" "YOU MEAN, YOU PLANNED... FROM THE VERY BEGINNING..." Kuro faces them and declares "ALL THIS WAS PART OF MY 'PLAN'!!!" "YES, EVER SINCE THREE YEARS AGO, WHEN I WAS STILL CAPTAIN KURO...!!!" He continues coldly "WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSER PIRATES" "YOU GUYS ARE DUMB" and "YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO QUIETLY FOLLOW MY PLANS!!!" "WHAT COULD THESE FOOLS DO WITHOUT MY 'PLAN'I!" "A PIRATE CREW IS JUST A RANDOM GATHERING OF OUTCASTED LOSERS" "HMPH...! LOSERSI"

Kuro stands amid the rocky battlefield, his glasses glinting as he coldly explains his philosophy to Luffy. "AND SACRIFICE THEMSELVES FOR MY PLAN!!" he declares. "EVEN IF THERE'S A WALL RIGHT AHEAD, YOU'D STILL HAVE TO FOLLOW MY ORDERS AND CHARGE AT IT!!!" He continues, "THAT MEANS, YOUR LIFE AND DEATH ARE ALL IN MY HANDS" and "IN A PIRATE FLEET, THE CREW MEMBERS ARE JUST 'PAWNS' FOR THE CAPTAIN TO USE AS HE WISHES." In a massive close-up, Kuro's face twists with fury: "A WANDERING LITTLE BRAT LIKE YOU WOULD NEVER UNDERSTAND!!! THAT'S THE WAY OF A PIRATE!!!!" Luffy, bruised but defiant in the bottom panel, snaps back, "YOU STILL CAN'T DEFEAT USOPP!! EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE THE CAPTAIN OF A SHIP WHO CONTROLS HUNDREDS OF MEN..."

On the jagged rocks, Luffy and Kuro face each other. Kuro confirms, "THAT'S RIGHT," while Luffy shouts in disbelief, "YOU SAY THAT I AM INFERIOR TO THAT 'CAPTAIN' IN A KID'S PIRATE GAMEI WHATI" Kuro suddenly laughs maniacally, extending his clawed gloves: "DON'T GET COCKY JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE BROKEN MY 'CAT'S CLAWS' HA HA HA... YOU'RE SO STUPID!" Luffy is sent flying backward by a powerful strike, yelling, "IN WHAT WAY AM I INFERIOR TO HIM!I" as impact lines and debris explode around him. Background pirates watch with shocked expressions.

Luffy grins confidently despite the incoming attack, declaring, "THE WAY YOU THINK." Kuro lunges with extended claws in a blur of motion. The strike connects with tremendous force, sending Luffy reeling as a shocked pirate onlooker yells, "WHATI!" Kuro stands firm, stating, "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A TRUE PIRATE IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!!" Motion lines and impact effects fill the panels, highlighting the ferocity of the clash.

Kuro vanishes using his "Silent Step," leaving only afterimages and speed lines. A cat-masked pirate gasps, "THAT KID...HE SAW THROUGH THE CAPTAIN'S 'SILENT STEP'!!" as Luffy reacts with shock, "AH...!!!" Luffy then roars in anger, "YOU'VE INSULTED ME!!!!" Kuro reappears close by, his face intense: "TOGETHER WITH THE TERROR OF A REAL PIRATE!!! YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT A TRUE PIRATE IS SUPPOSED TO BEI THEN LET ME SHOW YOU..." The panels emphasize Kuro's terrifying speed and Luffy's growing rage amid the rocky terrain.

Kuro stands tall with arms outstretched, claws gleaming, as he declares, "WHO'S BEEN AT THE BRINK OF DEATH AND SURVIVED!" and "THE TERROR OF A PIRATE..." Below on the long stone path, Luffy faces him while the Black Cat Pirates watch in horror. "THAT'S THE 'SHAKU-SHI'!!!" one shouts. Others cry, "DON'T TELL ME IT'S THAT SPECIAL TECHNIQUE!" and "WAH, THAT STANCE IS...!!!" The crew realizes, "HE'S GONNA USE THE 'SHAKUSHI'!!!" Luffy mutters, "I... I'M PRETTY SURE THAT'S IT...!!!" and questions, "AGAINST ONLY ONE PERSONI!" Panic erupts among the pirates: "THAT'S WHAT HE SAID EARLIER!!!" "HIS TRUE INTENTION IS TO KILL US!!" "WE CAN BE KILLED!!" "WE'RE NOT SAFE HERE EITHER, RIGHTI" SFX: ダラ ン...!! and ゴォォォォ.

The terrified Black Cat Pirates beg on their knees: "ME TOO, ME TOO!!!" "ME TOO!!" "I WON'T TELL ANYONE EITHER, CAPTAIN KURO! JUST SPARE ME!!!" "HEY YOU'RE SO SELFISH, TRYIN' TO SAVE ONLY YOURSELF!!!" "SO PLEASE LET ME LIVE!!!" and "CA... CAPTAIN KURO!! IF I GO BACK TO SEA I WON'T TELL ANYONE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE." In the rocky clearing, Luffy watches Kuro sway silently. The pirates plead, "WE'LL DO ANYTHING!!!" and "JUST PLEASE DON'T USE THAT TECHNIQUE!!" Luffy wonders, "WHAT ARE THEY TALKING ABOUTI" A close-up shows Kuro's intense glare as he utters, "SHAKU-SHI"!!! SFX: フィー — and impact lines.

From a high vantage, the entire clearing is visible. Dozens of Black Cat Pirates stand or sit motionless around the path where Luffy and Kuro face each other. SFX: フィー —I — ン... Nami, aboard the ship, looks on in confusion: "...WHY IS EVERYONE STANDING STILL..." "IS IT OVER...I" A small panel shows a crew member wondering, "HMMM... IS THE BATTLE OVER ALREADYI" Another thinks, "I THOUGHT THERE WOULD BE A LOT OF TREASURE." A final voice adds, "AH... HOW DISAPPOINTING..."

Kuro suddenly attacks with blinding speed. Pirates are sent flying amid massive impact lines and screams: "YAAAH!!!" and "U WAAAAAAAH!!!" SFX: ブシャアアア. One pirate yells, "ANOTHER ONE!!" as another grunts, "ARGH!" Luffy shouts, "WHAT'S HAPPENINGI!!" and reacts with "HUHI!" The ground shakes as rocks are hurled: "NOW THE ROCKS!!" A pirate screams, "GYAAAAAH!" Luffy stands amid the chaos, eyes wide with shock. SFX: ガキン!!

Luffy stares in shock as chaos erupts around him. Pirates scream in panic while Captain Kuro moves at blinding speed. "HE WON'T STOP 'TIL HE'S TIRED!!!" someone yells. Another voice cries, "HE'S SO FAST THAT EVEN HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S ATTACKING!!" A terrified crewman shouts, "IT'S NO USE!!! WHEN HE'S USING HIS 'SILENT STEP' ATTACK, HE CAN'T DISCERN ONE PERSON FROM ANOTHER!!" Kuro looms over the scene with a blank, eerie expression as a desperate voice pleads, "CAPTAIN KURO, PLEASE STOP IT!!!" Luffy turns, sweat flying, hearing cries of "HELP US!!" and "GYAAAAAH!" amid the slaughter. Kaya watches in horror from the side, whispering, "WH... WHAT'S GOING ON...I! THOSE PEOPLE ARE GETTING MASSACRED OUT OF NOWHERE!!" Luffy grits his teeth as the massacre continues, a voice warning, "TRY TO AVOID IT OR HIDE IF YOU CAN!!"

From high above the cliff, Luffy sees the distant path littered with fallen bodies and hears the agonized screams echoing, "GYAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" A massive impact shakes the ground. Luffy's face twists in fury as he roars, "COME OUT, YOU EVIL BUTLER..." His eyes bulge with rage, fists clenched, shouting, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR CREW MEMBERS ARE!III" Below, Kaya stares upward in stunned disbelief, tears forming as she whispers, "LUFFY...!I"
