The Adventure in God's Land

The Straw Hats ride a strange round vehicle across the clouds. Luffy leans forward and says, "THIS BOAT IS A FEW TIMES HEAVIER THAN A WAVER. IT CAN'T BE HELPED!" Sanji replies, "DON'T BE SO PICKY!" Usopp adds, "THIS THING IS SO SLOW!!" Nami thinks, "WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TRUST HIM. I'D PROTECT HER... BUT WE CAN'T BRING HER WITH US." A voice asks, "WILL CONIS BE ALRIGHTI" Another answers, "WELL, THAT STRANGE MISTER DIDN'T LOOK LIKE A BAD GUY." The vehicle emits "#" "#" "#" "#"... sounds. Below, the crew spots an enormous dark forest and cries out, "HEY, LOOK......!!! WHAT'S THAT!I" "THAT GIGANTIC FOREST..." "COOL~~~~!! IS THERE A FOREST LIKE THAT ON THE MAPI"

Inside the vehicle Luffy declares, "I WANT TO CLIMB ONE..." Usopp notes, "IT PROBABLY TOOK MORE THAN 1000 YEARS FOR THESE TREES TO GROW SO BIG!" Sanji adds, "THE GUY WHO HAD THAT MAP WAS HERE OVER 200 YEARS AGO, RIGHTI AND IT WAS PROBABLY AN OLD MAP EVEN THEN..." Nami observes, "IT'S JUST A NORMAL FOREST. NOT REALLY... THERE'S A FOREST BUT IT'S NOT SPECIALLY MARKED..." They approach a massive tree marked with a sign reading "GOD". Usopp asks, "ARE YOU PREPARED, LISOPPI" Luffy replies, "EHI THEN IF WE COULD, I'D LIKE TO GO BACK..." A voice shouts, "THIS'LL PROBABLY BE OUR LAST CHANCE TO GO BACK..." The entrance looms ahead with the cry, "IT'S THE ENTRANCE......!!!" Someone yells, "LET'S GO!!" and another retorts, "YOU'RE NOT EVEN LISTENING TO ME!"

The crew reacts in shock as something attacks. Usopp screams with wide eyes while Luffy looks surprised. Sanji yells, "HUH!I" and "GASAH!" as impacts strike. The vehicle is shown from behind with "#" "#" "#"... sounds. Below, Luffy shouts, "NO! JUST LOOK AROUND US! THOSE ARE THE WRECKED SHIPS, RIGHT!!I" Usopp cries, "THAT'S 'CAUSE THIS IS A FOREST..." Sanji warns, "THERE'S SOMETHING OUT THERE!" Nami screams, "UWAA..." while others yell, "GYAH! GYAH!" and "WHAT'S THAT GOT TO DO WITH IT!!I" "BECAUSE THIS IS A FOREST!"

The crew frantically paddles their waver through the dense, twisting forest. "EVERYONE PADDLE!! PADDLE MOVE FASTER!! MOVE THE SHIP FORWARD!!!" someone shouts. "THAT'S NOT IT!!!" Usopp yells in panic. "IT'S BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF FORESTS..." Chopper realizes. Suddenly a massive shape looms. "AH...! IT'S COMING!!!" Usopp cries as the creature crashes in with a loud "GASA..." and "GARA!" The waver surges forward. "AH! FULL SPEED AHEAD!" Luffy roars. A huge impact rocks them as a monstrous form smashes down. "UGYAAAAH!!!!!!!" the crew screams in terror. Luffy, sweat flying, warns, "DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! ANOTHER ONE'S COMING!!!" A scythe-wielding monster appears in the background with a sharp "ギィ" sound. "A SCYTHE MONSTER......" Usopp identifies it in horror.

The waver hurtles onward at breakneck speed. "PADDLE AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!" Luffy bellows. The forest blurs past with heavy "ガラガラガラ" rumbling. "NOT JUST ONE... NO..." Usopp gasps in dread. Enormous chained mechanisms and spiked wheels erupt from the trees with explosive "ビュン ビュビュン" and "ザザザザザザザ!!" effects. The crew is flung about violently. "UWA~~~~AAH!!!!!!" they scream as the waver spins out of control. Chopper stares in shock. "WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON~I" he cries while the massive spinning traps close in from every side.

Luffy grips the controls as the waver veers wildly. "DON'T WORRY, JUST KEEP MOVING" Usopp urges. "HEY! LUFFY! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO AIM THIS WAY!" he shouts, pointing desperately. "GOMU GOMU...!!!!" Luffy stretches an arm. "LOOK IN FRONT! LUFFY! HIT THE BRAKE!" Usopp warns as another trap appears. "IT'S TOO LATE! TAKE THE WHEEL, USOPP!!" Luffy yells. The waver launches upward with a massive "BAZOOKA!!!" blast, sending Luffy flying through the air. "THAT WAS TOO CLOSE!" Usopp exclaims. "UWAH...!!! IT'S OVER!!!" Chopper wails as the waver crashes hard with a loud "バリバリッ!" impact, debris flying everywhere.

The waver tumbles through the air. "--I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING." Luffy mutters. "IDIOT!! WE'LL DIE!!" Usopp screams. "HOW ABOUT WE GET OFF NOWI" Chopper suggests frantically. "THE ENTRANCE... IS ALREADY SO FAR AWAY..." someone notes as they plummet. A gigantic snake-like creature bursts from the clouds. "WHAT'S THISI A SNAKEI" Luffy shouts in alarm. The monster lunges with a thunderous "GYA~~~~!!!" Chopper and Usopp flail in panic. "WE CAN'T STOP TO CATCH OUR BREATH, OR LET OUR GUARD DOWN..." Luffy says. "WHILE WE'RE ON THIS MILKY ROAD... AT SUCH A HUGE SIZE, IT'LL DO A LOT MORE THAN JUST SUCK OUR BLOOD!" Usopp realizes. "BETTER YET, A SKY LAMPREY... IT'S A LAMPREY EEL..." Chopper identifies the creature as it looms over them with massive jaws open.

The Straw Hats' boat approaches a massive stone face carved into the rock wall. Luffy stares in shock and yells, "NO...!! THERE ARE FOUR OPENINGS!!!" Someone replies, "IDIOT! THAT'S A STATUE..." Usopp adds, "WOW! THIS TIME THERE'S A GIANT IN OUR WAY!" Robin notes, "DOES THAT MEAN THEY EACH GO TO A DIFFERENT PLACEI" while another voice says, "HEY, LOOKS LIKE IT'S A DEAD END!" The giant face bears four labeled tunnels: TRIAL OF SWAMP, TRIAL OF IRON, TRIAL OF STRING, and TRIAL OF BALLS. The crew stares up at the ominous choices. Luffy exclaims, "WOW! DOES IT MATTER WHICH ONE WE GO THROUGHI" Someone mutters, "SO NOW GOD WANTS TO PLAY A GAME WITH US...I!I" The boat drifts closer as the labels are read aloud: "TRIAL OF SWAMP, TRIAL OF IRON, TRIAL OF STRING, TRIAL OF BALLS."

Zoro's face twists in pain as he is struck, shouting "GUAAH!!" A massive striped sky shark lunges through the water with jaws open. Someone yells, "THERE HE IS!" The shark thrashes violently. Nami screams, "A SHARK!!! ZORO IS LOSING TO A SKY SHARK!!!" Usopp cries out "ZORO!" while the shark drags Zoro underwater amid heavy impact effects and bubbles.

The shark continues its attack underwater. Nami panics, "...IF HE WAS, THE CLOUD WOULD BE TURNING RED BY NOW" and "GYA~~~~!! ZORO'S BEEN EATEN~~~~!!!" Usopp wails, "AH...HE'S NOT COMING OUT... DID HE GET EATEN...!I" Robin warns, "DON'T SAY SUCH SCARY THINGS, ROBIN!" Zoro bursts from the shark's mouth, slashing wildly and roaring, "GET OUTTA MY WAY!!!!" as the shark recoils from the strikes.

Zoro, exhausted and sweating, adjusts his goggles and pants, "LOOKS LIKE WE WON'T BE ABLE TO SWIM ASHORE... WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE WEI" and "HAH...HAH...DAMN!" The group floats before a towering ancient sacrificial altar rising from the lake. Robin observes, "IT LOOKS LIKE A SACRIFICIAL ALTER..." Usopp notes, "THERE'S A BUNCH MORE SKY SHARKS!" Someone states, "ALL WE KNOW FOR CERTAIN IS THAT THIS IS A LAKE SOMEWHERE IN UPPER YARD." A sky shark labeled "PUKA..." circles beneath them.

Aboard the battered Going Merry, Nami stands with hands on hips and complains, "...I wonder if heaven's judgement is to let us starve in this placeI" Zoro, sweat dripping, mutters, "Zoro's so strong--" while Sanji, shirtless and bandaged, glares and retorts, "You're a swordsman, yet you used your fist to kill a shark! Seems like we've been taken to a dangerous place by that damn shrimp..." Chopper's small voice whimpers "gyuh..." Nearby, Usopp and Chopper watch from the railing. Sanji turns to Chopper and pleads, "Anyway, please try to repair it somehow, Chopper!" Chopper yelps, "Eh!I MeI Understood!" Robin, standing apart, notes, "--With the ship's bottom in this state, we can't put it in the water. I don't know...I've never met him. Would something that normal really be done by GodI" Luffy points dramatically and declares, "The one who should stay put the most is you!!!" Usopp panics, "Isn't there an old saying, 'When you're lost, stay where you are'I" Luffy continues, "Luffy and the others will come here looking for us for sure. I'll enter the forest somehow, and use this place as our gathering point." Usopp asks, "Repair it...so what are you going to doI"

Sanji snaps back at the group, "Don't you know there are also priests here!I You mustn't anger God! This is just common sense!" Zoro smirks and replies, "Zoro...is more arrogant than God--...I dunno. That depends on him." Sanji glares and growls, "What!I Why would you want to meet someone scary like that!I God's on this island, rightI I want to go meet him." In a close-up, Sanji declares with a fierce grin, "I never pray to God!" and adds a curt "Sorry." The crew reacts in shock; Nami thinks, "Ah...that's not a bad idea." Usopp points excitedly, "...Looks like we can use that vine." Chopper and Usopp cheer, "Oh, God! I have nothing to do with that guy! Wow~!! I don't even believe in God, so why should I care!I"

Robin stands before an ancient stone altar ringed with spears and lanterns, murmuring, "This altar is at least 1000 years old. Seeing such historical remains...makes me quite excited." She continues, "--Take a look around! Wait... Robin's going too!I Eh!I OK, but don't get in my way! Would you mind if I joined youI Plus, if we find some gems or treasures, we can use them... to repair the ship." Nami's eyes instantly sparkle with berry symbols as she exclaims, "Her eyes turned into beli... We're exploring history!" Usopp protests, "But didn't you say it was scary...I" Chopper yells, "Huh!!I I'm going, too!"

High above the ruins, a figure swings wildly on a vine while screaming "AH—AH AH" and "...un!! AH—un!!" Sanji watches with a clenched fist, thinking, "What was thatI A shout of resolveI" Below, Luffy hurtles through the air on another vine, yelling "WAAH!!! FAST...TOO FAST!!! I can't stop~!!!" with massive sound effects "グォォォ" and "オゥッ!!" A voice warns, "...This looks pretty high. It's probably 50 meters high. If you fall, you'll die." Another snaps, "Don't say things like that!" In the forest below, Nami lands and says, "...This is truly a big forest... Don't mention it. Hah...hah...!! Sorry to be a bother..." Robin catches her and asks, "My, aren't you the brave oneI" Usopp tumbles in with an "Oof!"

The Straw Hats wave goodbye as they head off, calling back to the lone figure left behind. "OK! DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME!!! COME BACK SAFELY!" "WE'LL BE BACK SOON." "PLEASE TAKE CARE!" "WELL THEN, WE'RE LEAVING YOU TO IT, CHOPPER!" Usopp stands alone in the dense forest clearing, staring at the distant ruins. He mutters nervously, "HA... LEAVING ME ALONE IN THIS FOREST TO REPAIR THE SHIP, THEY MUST REALLY TRUST ME...!!! THAT'S RIGHT!! I'M ALONE IN THIS DANGEROUS PLACE SO..." Chopper, wearing his hat and clutching his tools, tries to reassure himself while glancing around the eerie woods. "...ANYWAYS, I HAVE WORK TO DO! I DIDN'T GO BECAUSE I WAS SCARED... SINCE ZORO AND ROBIN ARE WITH NAMI, SHE'LL BE OKAY... SOMEDAY, I WANT TO HAVE IT, TOO...!!! IT'S SO COOL TO HAVE SUCH COURAGE!" Suddenly Chopper's face fills the page in a dramatic close-up, eyes wide with panic and sweat flying as he screams at the top of his lungs, "I'M THE ONE THAT'S IN THE MOST DANGER!!!!"
