A massive carved stone face screams in terror, "OH~~~~!!!" as a small craft races toward the glowing Trial of Balls entrances carved into the cliff. "LET'S GO!!!" someone shouts. The vehicle speeds forward amid motion lines and impact sounds. Sanji, sweating, warns, "HEY, HEY, THE DRIVER SHOULD KEEP HIS EYES OPEN!" Luffy stares ahead with wide eyes. The group debates their height above the Blue Sea and the risk of falling. Nami asks, "HEY... DOESN'T THIS REMIND YOU OF SOMETHINGI" Usopp wonders, "MAYBE SOME HIT AND SOME MISS!" Luffy questions, "AAH... THEY'RE OPEN, BUT IT'S STILL PITCH BLACK..." Sanji snaps, "DON'T SAY THAT! YOU WANT TO FALL!I" Nami recalls, "WE'RE 10,000 METERS ABOVE THE BLUE SEA!!" Someone mutters, "STOP BABBLING, YOU GUYS..." Nami continues, "DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES YOU'LL SEE YOUR LIFE FLASH BEFORE YOUR EYES BY THE TIME YOU HIT THE GROUND!I" Luffy wonders, "...IF YOU MISS... OH!! I KNOW!! YOU'LL FALL OFF OF SKY ISLAND." Nami presses, "WHY ARE YOU SAYING THIS NOW!I SO WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MISSI" Usopp notes, "THERE WERE FOUR ENTRANCES, RIGHTI" Luffy asks, "WHAT IS ITI"

The craft hurtles off the edge into open sky. Massive Japanese sound effects explode across the page: "しゃばっ" and impact marks. A voice cries, "THERE'S NO WAY THAT..." Below, a panicked figure on a striped vehicle with a spinning wheel and candles screams, "NO~~~~!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING~~~~!!!" with frantic "あぁぁぁぁ" sounds and "EH~~~~!I" The vehicle plummets past cliffs and clouds. Luffy and another crewmate stare in shock with wide eyes and sweat drops, reacting with "!!!I" and "EEHIII" "HUH!I" as they tumble through the air.

A massive explosion erupts with giant sound effects "ボク" and "ウッ...!!!" as the craft crashes through clouds and trees. The vehicle tumbles down a rocky slope. Luffy laughs wildly, "UHAHAHAW!! AH~~~~ I WAS SCARED!" while grabbing Sanji, who growls, "DID YOU SAY THAT MISLEADING STUFF ON PURPOSE!I YOU BASTARD..." Sanji retorts, "I REALLY THOUGHT... I WOULD FALL 10,000 METERS...!!!!" Luffy admits, "I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE FOR SURE--" with frantic sound effects. Zoro stands nearby, sweat-dropping, as Luffy yells, "THEY'RE BALLS!! BALLS!!!" Sanji asks, "ANYWAYS... WHERE ARE WEI" A voice concludes, "WE'RE SAFE...!!!"

Giant translucent spheres float everywhere among twisted trees and clouds. Luffy laughs, "HAHAHAHA! SO COOL~~~~!! THEY LOOK LIKE GIGANTIC SNOWBALLS!!" Someone notes, "BALLS MADE FROM LITTLE BITS OF ISLAND CLOUD..." The narration states, "THE MILKY ROAD GOES UP AND DOWN AMONGST THE TREES..." Luffy beams, "WE'D PROBABLY BE SUFFERING SOME GRUESOME FATE RIGHT NOW IF WE HAD CHOSEN ANOTHER ENTRANCE!!" Sanji asks, "DID WE MAKE ITI DID WE PICK THE RIGHT ONEI!!" Zoro replies, "WHO KNOWS!I IT'D BE NICE IF NOTHING HAPPENED, BUT THAT'S NOT LIKELY..." Luffy wonders, "...WHAT KIND OF TRIAL IS IN THIS PLACE...I"

The Straw Hats sail through the floating Surprise Clouds on the Going Merry. Luffy grins and points ahead while chatting casually. "Yeah, yeah! Not a bad idea." "I'm thirsty. Let's have some tea!" "Stay sharp... Anyway, let's just keep moving forward..." Nami snaps from the side, "IDIOTS! DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! WHY WOULD THEY MAKE A PRIZE DOOR FOR CRIMINALSI" Usopp agrees nervously, "Ahh...! Yeah...! That's probably true!" Luffy adds, "Just think about it a little! There may be traps like earlier..." Sanji takes the helm and shouts, "LISTEN HERE!! I'M GOING TO STEER, SO I'M KEEP A LOOKOUT TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT!!!" Luffy protests, "NO! CAN WE HAVE A PIECE OF SKY SENBEII" The ship glides high above the ground as Chopper yells in awe, "WOW! WE'RE REALLY SAILING HIGH ABOVE THE GROUND...!!!" Sanji repeats his order, "I SAID TO BE ON THE LOOKOUT!!!" Usopp replies, "OHH! ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! HEY~~~ USOPP, CATCH!" Nami thinks aloud, "SO EACH ENTRANCE SHOULD HAVE LED US TO ONE OF THEM......THIS IS STRANGE. THEY SAID THAT THERE ARE FOUR PRIESTS." Zoro narrows his eyes, "WAS I WRONG...!I"

A massive snake-like creature bursts from the clouds with jaws wide open, roaring "GYAAAAAAAH!!!" and "SHA------!!!" Usopp screams in terror, "EEH~~~~~~!!!I" Luffy yells back, "YOU BASTARD! GET OUT OF HERE!" The beast lunges as someone cries, "YAHHHHH!!!" and "WHAT...!!! A SNAKE!!I" Sanji appears mid-kick, shouting, "HEY! SANJI! IN FRONT! A CLOUD!! KICK IT FAR AWAY!!" Luffy stares in shock, sweat flying, "HAH...HAH...THAT SCARED ME. WHAT THE HELLI"

Explosions and smoke erupt as the crew reacts in panic. "WHY YOU...!!!" Sanji kicks furiously while shouting, "ARE THESE FLOATING THINGS ALL SNAKE EGGS!!I" Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper stare in horror at the bizarre floating orbs. One of them mutters, "HOH--HOHOH!! IT'S FUN NOT KNOWING WHAT'LL COME OUT!" Nami yells, "THESE ARE CALLED 'SURPRISE CLOUDS.'" Luffy demands, "WHO'S THERE!!I" as the group tumbles through the chaotic clouds. Someone shouts, "WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON WITH THESE BALLS!!!"

A giant winged figure in a bowler hat and round glasses appears, laughing heartily, "HOH HO HOH!! HESO!!!" He spreads his arms and declares, "WELCOME TO MY TRIAL OF BALLS." A sign reads "SKYPIEA PRIEST 'SATORI OF THE FOREST'". The priest continues chuckling, "HOH HO HOH!!" Below, the Straw Hats react in confusion amid the Surprise Clouds. Luffy shouts, "STOP DANCING!! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!I" as the priest replies, "HO HO HO~!!" and "YOURSI SO THIS IS YOUR TRIAL OF BALLSI"

Sanji and Usopp stare ahead in alarm. "THEY'LL PROBABLY DIE IF THEY ARE LEFT ALONE. BUT IF THEY ESCAPE," Sanji says, "...YOU MEAN THE SACRIFICESI IN THAT CASE, I DON'T KNOW. THEY'LL STILL DIE..." Usopp shouts, "HEY, DANGO! ARE NAMI-SAN AND THE OTHERS ALRIGHT!!!I" Sanji replies, "THAT'S A PRIEST...I" Usopp adds, ".....WHAT THE HECKI HE LOOKS LIKE AN IDIOT, DOESN'T HEI" Below, Satori laughs "HO HO H" while floating amid bubbles and declares, "I'LL SAY IT CLEARLY. IF YOU CAN'T BEAT ME, YOU CAN'T MOVE FORWARD. YOU SHOULD BE MORE WORRIED ABOUT YOURSELVES!" Luffy reacts with shock, stretching his arm as he yells "EHI GOMU GOMU... STRETCHING...!I" Satori counters, "OKAY!! I'LL KNOCK HIM DOWN!!!" while someone off-panel cries "IT'S COMING! LUFFY! DO IT! KICK HIS ASS!"

Luffy's face twists in pain as he screams "AIIIIII!!!!" Satori's massive hand swings down with the word "PISTOL!" A huge impact erupts in a cloud of smoke and debris. The winged figure recoils with "!!!I" as the blast sends limbs flying and shockwaves rip outward.

Sanji yells "LUFFY!!I" as Luffy's face is bloodied. The winged figure floats above the bubbles, hands raised, while Luffy glares with gritted teeth. Satori, hat still on, says "PUNCH...I HEY, YOU OKAYI IT WAS JUST A SIMPLE PUNCH, SO IT SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY EFFECT ON YOU!" Luffy stares in confusion. Someone asks "EH!I EH!I LUFFY!!!" The winged figure adds, "THERE'S A LITTLE DIFFERENCE."

Satori's kick lands with a loud impact. "WHAT!I" someone shouts. Satori laughs "HOH HOH...!!!" while explaining an upper right kick. The narration states, "A POWER GIVEN ONLY TO THOSE WHO PRACTICE THE ART - MANTRA!" Satori continues attacking with rapid strikes as the opponent cries "AIIIIII!!!!!" and another voice exclaims "IMPOSSIBLE... THIS GUY CAN PREDICT MY MOVEMENTS...!!!"

Luffy is hurled backward through the air by a massive impact. "IMPACT!!!!" A winged figure with a striped hat delivers the blow. Nearby, Sanji reels in shock. "AH...!! UWAH!! SANJI!!!" The attacker declares, "THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM A SIMPLE PUNCH...." A close-up shows the shockwave traveling inside the body. "INSIDE THE BODY!!! THE SHOCKWAVE CAUSES DAMAGE DIRECTLY...." Luffy, battered and coughing, shouts desperately, "DAMNIT!!! SANJI!! USOPP!!" Usopp lies injured amid debris as more shockwaves strike, "...UGH..." "GUA...!!!"

Luffy, bruised and sweating, clutches his head. "NO IDEA! I JUST KNOW HE'S REALLY STRONG!" He coughs, "...COUGH*..." and wonders, "THAT BASTARD...WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON...!!!" Satori appears in the distance, surrounded by floating spheres. "HOH!! HOHO------!! MY NAME IS SATORI!! I'M ONE OF THE PRIESTS WHO SERVE THE ALMIGHTY GOD, ENEL. THE VEARTH IN THIS FOREST OF ILLUSIONS IS UNDER MY CONTROL." In a close-up, Satori grins widely. "IN THIS FOREST..." Luffy stares in alarm. "FOREST OF ILLUSIONSI"

Satori continues, "FROM NOW ON, IT WILL DRIFT AIMLESSLY ON THE MILKY ROAD... AND WILL EVENTUALLY EXIT THIS FOREST BY ITSELF." The boat begins moving on its own. "AAH!! THE BOAT IS MOVING BY ITSELF!!" "YOUR BOAT!!" "--ONE OF THE ILLUSIONS IS..." Satori warns Luffy, "OF COURSE, THESE SURPRISE CLOUDS AND I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO SUCCEED... YOU HAVE TO GET BACK ON BOARD BEFORE IT LEAVES. I'M SURE YOU ALREADY UNDERSTAND, BUT WITHOUT THIS DIAL BOAT, YOU CAN'T GET TO THE SACRIFICIAL ALTAR." In a dramatic close-up, Satori laughs, "IN THIS FOREST OF ILLUSIONS, THE CHANCE OF SURVIVAL IS 10%!! IT'S THE TRIAL OF BALLS!!! WELCOME TO THE FORBIDDEN HOLY LAND, UPPER YARD... HOH!!"
