In Wano's Flower Capital, the fire festival continues under the night sky. People laugh, drink, and sing around the bonfire while music rings out with repeated festival sounds. Voices shout, "Gyahaha! Drink up!" and "Sing!" while another laughs, "Wahahahaha!!" The caption says the sounds echo through the night. Otoko smiles broadly among the revelers, and Tenguyama Hitetsu watches nearby as the city celebrates without knowing the full war above them. Someone says, "Isn't it beautiful, Otoko?" and she answers, "Yup!" A voice explains, "The fire festival is a celebration that honors the dead. We lit this bonfire in the hopes that it would be visible in the heavens." The page frames the festival as both joy and prayer: Wano's people are sending light to the dead, unaware that Onigashima is moving through the sky toward them.

The contrast is cruel: below, the capital honors the dead and hopes the heavens are watching; above, Kaido's fortress carries the war and its danger directly toward the people who are still celebrating.

Inside the castle at the visitors' reception, the masked CP0 agents continue tracking the battle as if it were a board game. One says, "They refuse to surrender... despite the loss of 'Straw Hat' Luffy?" and another answers, "That's right, so far..." Around them the castle shakes with distant battle sounds. They report that an additional 5,000 soldiers have been incapacitated, meaning the forces on each side should now stand at 24,000 versus 3,000. But the board has changed again: the pleasures and waiters on the live floor have turned against Queen-sama. When they account for those 4,000 men switching sides, the totals become 20,000 versus 7,000. The black and white stones on the board make the war look coldly numerical, but the update also shows that Otama's earlier dango strategy and the live floor rebellion have seriously narrowed Kaido's manpower advantage.

The CP0 agents consider the shifting numbers. One says, "It is hard to believe the disparity in manpower is actually shrinking..." Another calls it "what an unexpected turn of events," and a third notes, "It seems like the state of this battle is constantly changing as more information comes to light." A Mary frog ribbits as it relays news through the network. Bao Huang receives another report and exclaims, "Momonosuke... has fallen too?!" The enemy side is delighted: "Excellent!! The samurai will finally lose their resolve... when they hear their little lord is dead!!" Bao Huang cheers, "Yeah!! Let's go break their spirits!!" On the same floor as Nami, Usopp, and Otama, Nami is startled that her Clima-Tact is talking. The voice inside protests, "No, it's like I keep trying to tell you, it's me! The one they used to call Zeus!!" Nami asks why he is inside her Clima-Tact and whether he was eaten back there, while the weapon's voice tries to explain.

Zeus explains the strange survival of his soul. He says that after his soul left his old body, he started to get really dizzy; Hera was about to absorb him, but "when Nami extended her Clima-Tact toward us," it was like she swiped him from Hera right before he was eaten. Now he appears as a living face in the Clima-Tact and announces, "I've been given a new lease on life!! And look at me now!!" Nami is not charmed, yelling, "What?! I didn't sign up for an annoying, sentient weapon!!" Zeus admits, "That's right! You still haven't forgiven me!! But... I can't leave without Mama's powers!!" As they run, Usopp calls, "Hey, we've reached the stage!!" and says it is time to start giving orders, Tama. Otama answers, "Okay!!" The page turns Zeus from Big Mom's discarded homie into Nami's unwilling new partner, while the group reaches the place where Otama can turn her power into a battlefield-wide command.

Bao Huang tries to resume the enemy broadcast from the stage, shouting, "Everyone on Onigashima!! I have more news for you!! The enemy leader, Momo..." Before she can complete the message, she notices the intruders and cries, "Bao Huang-sama, behind you!!" and "It's the Straw Hat crew!!" Usopp reacts with "Wha--" while Otama calls, "Ah!! Usohachi-kun!!" Big Mom suddenly attacks from above, striking Usopp hard and sending him crashing into the floor with a massive "Bang!!" Nami and Otama are thrown aside by the impact while Usopp screams, "Usopp!!" and another voice cries, "Aarrgh!!" Bao Huang's broadcast is interrupted before she can use Momonosuke's fall to crush morale. The page puts Otama's plan in immediate danger: they reached the stage and the transmitter, but Big Mom's pursuit arrives at the same instant.

Ulti staggers back into the fight, badly wounded but still standing, and Nami cries, "Otama!! How can she still be standing?" Ulti, bleeding and furious, drags Otama into view and glares at the girl. Nami stares in surprise and says, "Huh?!" The page makes Zeus's new loyalty visible: even before Nami fully accepts him, he reacts to protect Otama from Ulti's revenge.

Zeus urges Nami to attack normally, saying, "Nami, you can use your tact like usual!! I'm just here to help!!" Lightning crashes down toward Ulti, but the injured Tobiroppo tries to dodge, leaving Nami horrified. She says, "No way... It's over!!" while Ulti snarls, "No it's not! It's my job... to make sure our attacks land!!" Zeus bends the thundercloud and lightning path into a huge, curling dark mass around Ulti, correcting the strike midair. The bolt lands with a massive "Zap!!" and Ulti screams "Gyahh!!" as the living Clima-Tact makes Nami's lightning unavoidable.

Ulti crashes down with a heavy "Thud" as smoke and lightning fade around her. Onlookers cry, "Whaaaaaaat?!" and a shocked report goes out: "They beat Ulti-sama!! This is just like what happened to Page One-sama!!" Bao Huang unintentionally broadcasts the defeat through the Mary network, declaring, "Now two of the Flying Six have been defeated!!" Beast Pirates panic in disbelief: "What?!" "It can't be! This is unheard of!" and "Are they backing us into a corner?!" Bao Huang realizes too late that everyone can hear her and stammers, "Bao Huang-sama, everybody can hear you!!" She panics, "Oh no! I didn't mean to broadcast that!!" Nami, Usopp, and Otama look toward the transmitter as some fighters shout, "It's a monster!!" The page flips the enemy's own communication system against them: a morale-breaking announcement becomes proof that Kaido's elite officers can fall.

Usopp acts quickly to seize the chance. He fires "Green Star Devil!!" and a wobbling plant growth catches Bao Huang, forcing her into position as the transmitter. Usopp calls, "Hey, Tama!!" Nami says, "I don't really get it... but she seems to be a transmitter!! Give your orders!!" Otama answers, "Right!!" In the huge central view of the stage and live floor, Otama's voice begins to ring out: "This... This is Otama!!" The hall reacts with "Huh?!" as fighters look upward and around for the speaker. Her allies recognize her voice immediately. A grinning Gifter shouts, "That's her!! Our master!!" another calls, "Otama-chan?!" and Nami and Usopp watch anxiously from the side. The page is the payoff to the whole stage run: after surviving Big Mom, Ulti, and Bao Huang's accidental broadcast, Otama finally reaches every dango-controlled ally on Onigashima at once.

Onigashima keeps flying through the night sky while, on the rooftop, Kaido faces Yamato in dragon form. He snarls that "Straw Hat and Oden's brat are already dead!!" and tells Yamato, "If you're going to play, you should learn to protect your pieces!!" Kaido reminds Yamato of the past: "A snot-nosed kid like you throwing off your chains... you think you can just leave?!" Yamato stands below him with a club, battered but unwavering. He answers, "That's right!! I'm going to sail the seas with Luffy... after I drive you out of Wano, Kaido!!" The page sets Yamato's rebellion against Kaido's claim of ownership. He says, "Luffy is the one Kozuki Oden was waiting for!!" and, while Kaido looms, adds, "I'm just going to hold you off... until he gets back!!" The two clash with a massive impact over the skull dome, the caption calling it "a fierce clash!!" Kaido warns, "Don't expect me to go easy on you, Yamato!!" The chapter ends with "Ch. 1016 / End" and "Break next week," closing on Yamato choosing delay, faith, and resistance over the role Kaido assigned.
