The left half of a color spread. The Straw Hat Pirates are doing laundry outdoors near a riverbank. The river is filled with large, green and orange crocodiles. Sanji is aggressively wringing out a white shirt, sending water splashing everywhere. Chopper is running happily while carrying a small basket of clothes. Luffy is dashing forward, holding a white cloth. Usopp is struggling to carry a massive, overflowing basket of laundry on his back. Robin is sitting calmly on the back of one of the crocodiles, reading a book.

The right half of the color spread. The title text at the top reads "CHAPTER 317 'K.O.'". Nami stands prominently in the foreground, wearing a yellow dress with black polka dots. She is smiling and holding up a red shirt with yellow buttons, inspecting it. To the right, Zoro is forcefully wringing out his dark coat while stepping firmly on the head of an orange crocodile to keep it subdued. Clotheslines are strung up between trees and a windmill in the background, with various garments hanging to dry.

The story resumes in the middle of the Davy Back Fight combat ring. The announcer screams into his microphone, his mouth wide open, "<SFX> WOW~~ STRAW HAT LUFFY STOOD BACK UP!!! WHAT AMAZING STAMINA!! HE KEEPS STANDING BACK UP AGAIN AND AGAIN!!" In the stands, Usopp and Chopper are bawling tears of joy and relief. Usopp cries out, "LUFFY~~~!!" and Chopper whimpers, "LUFFY..." The announcer continues, "STRAW HAT LUFFY STOOD BACK UP!!" Down in the ring, Luffy is shown heavily battered and panting, "<SFX> ZEH ZEH--..." The announcer observes, "HE'S OUT OF BREATH, YET HIS EYE IS STILL SO KEEN... HIS LEGS ARE SHAKING AS HE KEEPS STANDING UP..." Nami and Robin watch tensely from the sidelines, with Nami yelling, "LUFFY---!!" Across the ring, Foxy is sweating and furious, his teeth gritted as he pants, "WHY WON'T YOU JUST STAY DOWN...!!? <SFX> ZEH... ZEH..."

Luffy stands tall in the center of the ring, wearing his large afro, boxing gloves, and skull-and-crossbones shorts. He looks battered but fiercely determined. The announcer is moved to tears, shouting, "THAT IS THE TRUE SPIRIT OF DAVY BACK FIGHT! FOR THE SAKE OF HIS NAKAMA!! MY... TEARS ARE POURING OUT. I CAN HARDLY SEE ANYTHING!!" A loud "<SFX> DON!!" emphasizes Luffy's stance. The crowd erupts into a frenzy of cheers, "<SFX> WAH WAH <SFX> WOOOOOH!!" Even Foxy's own crew members are swept up in the emotion, crying and cheering for Luffy. "LUFFY! LUFFY!! LUFFY!! LUFFY! LUFFY!" Foxy, Porche, and Hamburg look on in absolute shock and dismay as their own crew roots for the enemy.

The announcer continues his passionate commentary, "THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANOTHER MAN WHO COULD SURVIVE AGAINST OUR BOSS TO THIS EXTENT!! DEAFENING CHEER FOR LUFFY COMES NONSTOP FROM THE AUDIENCE!!" The massive crowd in the stands roars, "LUFFY!! LUFFY! LUFFY! LUFFY!!" <SFX> WOOOOOOH!! Foxy snaps out of his shock and turns to his crew in a rage, screaming, "IDIOTS!! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CHEERING FOR THE ENEMY!?" Terrified by their captain's anger, the Foxy Pirates immediately switch sides, sweating profusely as they chant, "BOSS!! BOSS!! BOSS!! BOSS! BOSS!" <SFX> WAH--- WAH--- Foxy turns his attention back to Luffy, his expression turning dark and serious. He points a finger and declares, "WATCH CAREFULLY BECAUSE THIS IS THE END!!" Luffy glares back, ready for the next attack.

Foxy forms a sword shape with his hands and unleashes his power, shouting, "NORO NORO BEAM SWORD!!" He strikes Luffy's right arm with the beam. <SFX> POPON!! Luffy's arm is instantly slowed down, leaving him vulnerable. Foxy laughs mockingly, "HOI HOI... IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN FROM ME!!" He then delivers a swift punch to Luffy's face. "HOI!!" Luffy is knocked backward by the blow. "WUUH" "BIH!! BIH!!" <SFX> DOUNT...!! <SFX> PULL (GAKON!!) <SFX> BOOM!! As Luffy stumbles, Foxy prepares his next move, thinking, "DAMN! HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH STRENGTH TO RUN..." Foxy declares, "TIME FOR THE FINISHER!!" In the stands, Usopp covers his eyes, crying, "I CAN'T BEAR TO SEE LUFFY LIKE THIS!!"

Foxy leaps into the air and lands inside a small, mechanical fox-shaped glider. The announcer shouts, "BOSS IS ON THE OFFENSIVE!! FIRST HE SLOWED DOWN THE CANNONBALL... NORO NORO BEAM~~~!!" Foxy fires a slow beam at a cannonball he just launched. <SFX> GACHIN!! (SFX WHEN TWO MECHANICAL THINGS UNITE) <SFX> NO---RO... The glider attaches itself to the slowed cannonball. Foxy sits in the cockpit, grinning. "BAH! BAH!" The announcer introduces the machine, "FOXY FIGHTER!!" Foxy explains his strategy, "USING THE SPEED OF THE CANNONBALL THIS MEGATON PUNCH WILL K.O. YOU FOR SURE!!" <SFX> NO---RO <SFX> BANG!! <SFX> NO---RO <SFX> NO---RO <SFX> NO---RO The announcer hypes up the attack, "THERE IT IS!! IT'S BOSS' ULTIMATE CANNON-RIDING ATTACK!! SOON THE FOXY FIGHTER WILL CHARGE AND OBLITERATE THE TARGET!!"

Foxy chuckles from the cockpit of his glider, "FUEHEHEHEH... HEH... HEH..." Luffy is still struggling, his right arm caught in the slow-motion effect. Sanji yells a warning from the sidelines, "LUFFY!! HE GOT YOU A MOMENT EARLIER THAN THE GLIDER! START RUNNING AS SOON AS YOU ARE FREE!!" Nami watches anxiously beside him. Suddenly, the slow effect on Luffy's arm wears off. "... AH <SFX> SAH... I CAN MOVE NOW!" The announcer notices, "STRAW HAT GOT FREE FROM THE EFFECT OF THE BEAM FIRST!!" At that exact moment, the Foxy Fighter's slow effect also ends, and it rockets forward at terrifying speed. <SFX> VROOM!! Foxy yells triumphantly, "IT'S USELESS!! YOU WON'T GET AWAY!!"

The Foxy Fighter hurtles toward Luffy at breakneck speed. <SFX> BYU. Foxy's face is shown in a manic, wide-eyed grin just before impact. The mechanical fox head of the glider slams directly into Luffy's chest with tremendous force. <SFX> BAM! The sheer power of the "megaton punch" sends Luffy flying backward through the air, his body contorted from the blow. <SFX> GON!!

Chopper screams in terror, "LUFFY! INCOMING!!" as Luffy is hurled helplessly toward the spiked barricades at the edge of the ship. <SFX> PAH! <SFX> BAM!! <SFX> STUNNED <SFX> BYUN~~!! Foxy laughs wickedly from his glider, "FUEHEHE TAKE THAT AS MY FAREWELL GIFT!!" Luffy crashes into the ship's structure, triggering a massive, fiery explosion that engulfs the deck in smoke and debris. <SFX> BOOOM!! The announcer immediately declares, "GAME OVER!!"

The crowd erupts into wild cheers, believing the match is over. "PERFECT HIT!! THERE IS NO WAY HE COULD'VE SURVIVED!!" <SFX> YEAH~~!! Nami, Sanji, and Usopp look on in horror. Usopp screams, "LUFFY!! NOOO~~" <SFX> WAH--- Foxy smirks confidently, "HEH... HEH..." But as the smoke begins to clear, Nami notices something. "... ISN'T THAT... GOING A LITTLE TOO FAR!!" A dark silhouette emerges from the dust. <SFX> SHAKE SHAKE <SFX> OOOOOOH!!! Luffy is standing back up, his body trembling but upright. The announcer stammers in disbelief, "H... HE... HE STOOD BACK UP AGAIN!!!" Foxy's confident smirk vanishes, replaced by absolute shock. His jaw drops and his eyes bulge as he screams, "IMPOSSIBLE!! HE'S NOT HUMAN!!" Usopp and Chopper are equally stunned.

Luffy stands in the ring, his face covered in blood, his breathing heavy and ragged. "... AH! HEH... HEH..." He wobbles unsteadily on his feet. <SFX> KARAN <SFX> WOBBLE Despite his condition, he mutters with unwavering resolve, "I'M... GOING TO WIN!" Foxy is pushed to his breaking point, screaming in frustration, "BULLSHIT! YOU CAN HARDLY STAND!! IF YOU WANT TO DIE SO BADLY... I'LL KEEP HITTING UNTIL YOU DROP!!" Foxy charges at Luffy, throwing a rapid flurry of punches. "MEGATON NINE TAIL...!!" <SFX> WAAAH!! <SFX> PAH! <SFX> PAH! Foxy yells, "RUSH~~ ~~!!!" Luffy, barely keeping his eyes open, prepares to counterattack. "HEH.. HEH.. GOMU GOMU...!!"

Luffy unleashes a desperate, high-speed barrage of punches, shouting, "GOMU GOMU GATTLING GUN!!!" Foxy meets the attack head-on, throwing his own rapid-fire punches to counter Luffy's strikes. The two fighters clash in a furious blur of fists. <SFX> WOOOOOOH!! <SFX> BAM <SFX> BAM <SFX> BAM The impact of their blows creates shockwaves. The crowd watches the intense exchange. Foxy grunts with exertion, "WUU...!!" while Luffy pushes through his exhaustion, "MUU...!!!"

The announcer yells over the noise of the clash, "THE FIGHTERS HAVE ENTERED A PUMMELING RAGE!! AMAZING!! THE FIGHT IS SO FIERCE EVEN THIS LATE IN THE GAME!!!" The crowd roars. Usopp and Chopper cheer frantically for their captain, "LUFFY! GO, LUFFY~~~!! SMASH HIM UP GOOD!! SMASH!!" Foxy's crew watches in disbelief, "NOT STOPPING!! THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE STOPPING ANY TIME SOON!!" Foxy, struggling to keep up, thinks, "... POWER!! AHH!! SUCH... HOW CAN THIS DYING MAN HAVE SO MUCH STRENGTH LEFT!!!" Realizing he needs to end it, Foxy decides to use his Devil Fruit power again. "THIS IS...!!" <SFX> WOOOOOOOOH!!! He forms the hand sign, "NORO NORO..." Luffy notices the glowing light, "GAH!!!" Foxy smirks, "HEH"

Foxy fires the Noro Noro beam at point-blank range. <SFX> POWAWAWAWA... The circular waves of the beam engulf both fighters. The announcer trails off, "BEE~~..." The crowd falls silent, confused by the sudden halt in action. "HUH?" "WHAT HAPPENED?" Nami, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper stare at the ring. "THEY'RE NOT MOVING..." As the dust settles, a wide shot of the ship's deck shows both Luffy and Foxy completely frozen in their combat poses, caught in the slow-motion effect.

The announcer stutters, trying to make sense of the scene, "D... DOWN!! STRAW HAT IS DOWN... NO... WAIT!! THAT'S NOT RIGHT!! STRAW HAT IS STILL MOVING!!" Luffy is shown slowly pulling his arm back, unaffected by the beam. <SFX> GAKUN... Foxy, however, is completely frozen, his face locked in a panicked, sweating grimace. "HEH... HEH..." The crowd is baffled, "WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED!!? WHAT!?" Nami suddenly realizes what occurred. "B... BOSS!!" Foxy's crew cries out. Foxy thinks furiously, "DAMN~~~ YOU~~~" Nami explains to the others, "A MIRROR!! STRAW HAT HAD A PIECE OF MIRROR IN HIS HAND!!" A small flashback panel shows Luffy picking up a shard of broken glass. Luffy, winding up his attack, says, "IT GOT STUCK ON MY AFRO... WHEN... I WAS IN YOUR MIRROR ROOM..."

Taking advantage of Foxy's frozen state, Luffy begins to wind his arms around each other, twisting them tightly like thick rubber bands. "GOMU GOMU" Foxy is trapped in slow motion, his internal monologue screaming in panic, "LITTLE~~~ YOU~~~ SHIT~~~ A~~~ OOOOH!!!!" <SFX> NO---RO <SFX> NO---RO <SFX> NO---RO Luffy's arms are fully coiled, storing massive potential energy. He steps forward and unleashes the devastating attack directly into Foxy's face. "FLAIL!!!"

The massive punch connects with Foxy's face, but because Foxy is still under the effect of his own slow beam, he doesn't fly backward immediately. Instead, the kinetic energy causes his body to slowly twist and contort in place. <SFX> HEH... HEH... <SFX> TWIST <SFX> TWIST... The crowd watches the bizarre spectacle in silence. Sanji calculates the time remaining on the beam's effect, "... 8 MORE SECONDS." Usopp is confused, "HUH..? AH...?" Sanji wonders, "IS THIS THE END...!?" Nami starts counting down, "7..." Usopp joins in, "6..." Zoro watches the scene calmly.

The countdown continues as Foxy's body twists further and further under the delayed impact. <SFX> TWIST The announcer encourages the audience, "WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT? COUNT WITH ME!!" The crowd eagerly joins the countdown. "WHAT? THAT SOUNDS FUN!!" "WAHAHAHA" Foxy's crew cries out, "BOSS~~~!!" The crowd yells, "5~~~!!!" <SFX> TWIST. TWIST. TWIST. "4" "3" "2" <SFX> WAAAAAAAH!!! Foxy's face is stretched to comical proportions. Luffy stands nearby, exhausted and bleeding, waiting for the effect to end. "1"

The slow beam effect finally wears off, and the accumulated force of Luffy's "Flail" attack is released all at once. Foxy is launched out of the ring like a rocket, crashing violently into the ship's mast in the background. <SFX> BUBEEH!! The crowd erupts into deafening cheers. "O~~~!!" "YEAH~~~!!!!!" The announcer officially declares the result, "THE WINNER IS... LUFFY!!!" Luffy stands in the center of the ring, his arms raised high in victory, panting heavily. <SFX> YEAH!! Foxy's crew is devastated, "WAIT. THAT'S OUR BOSS FLYING!!" Nami, Robin, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper celebrate their captain's hard-fought win. Text at the bottom reads: "ONE PIECE... CHAP #317 / FIN".
