Adventure in the Great Prison

Wide establishing shot of the colossal fortress Impel Down rising from the sea, surrounded by massive warships. Narration box reads: "The great prison Impel Down, the Calm Belt." Speech bubbles cry "PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!" and "HAVE A SAFE TRIP!! LADY HANCOCK~" with a heart. Enormous onomatopoeia "ドドーン!!" shakes the scene. Cut to an interior corridor where Monkey D. Luffy peeks from behind a wall, wide-eyed, thinking "...!!!" A skeleton hangs nearby. Luffy wonders in a bubble: "THE ATMOSPHERE IS INCREDIBLY HEAVY... I WONDER IF HELL IS LIKE THIS...I" Boa Hancock stands tall in an ornate black-and-white gown with a fur collar, declaring "SILENCE!!" while an unseen voice pleads "DON'T BE THAT WAY! TAKE CARE." with hearts.

Large close-up of Vice-Warden Hannyabal shouting "TO MY IMPEL DOWN!!!" and "WELCOME..." Below, a smaller panel shows Hannyabal in striped uniform bowing and shaking hands with Boa Hancock while saying "I AM THE VICE-WARDEN, HANNIBAL!!" and "NICE TO MEET YOU. I'M MOMONGA." Hancock stands beside him. Another panel has Hannyabal flustered, exclaiming "... MY... 'EMPRESS,' HANCOCKI AH!! EXCUSE ME!! I'VE HEARD ABOUT YOUR SITUATION. IS THIS THE 'EMPRESS,' LADY HANCOCK...I" while thinking "MY AMBITIONS ARE SHOWING AGAIN." A sign identifies him: "Great Prison Impel Down Vice-Warden Hannibal (Ambitious)."

Inside the stone corridors of Impel Down, a tall figure in a striped hat and cloak gestures forward. "It appears that time is short, so please hurry this way!!" A woman in a peaked cap and uniform replies, "Vice Admiral, that way... and my apologies, but we need to perform a body check." Another voice adds, "The damn warden... Warden Magellan is in the office on level 4, so please come this way!! The vice-head jailer Domino and I will be guiding you...!!" The scene shifts to a massive barred gate. A voice explains the prison's procedures: "You are 'baptized' and taken into the prison. After you are sterilized and disinfected, you would be stripped of your clothes and dumped into the 'bath of hell,' an iron kettle filled with boiling water. If you were a prisoner, you would head past those bars." In a close panel, a dark-haired woman with earrings states, "And a former Shichibukai, Crocodile. They didn't even flinch during their baptisms. Truly splendid." A blonde woman in uniform adds, "Recently, we've taken in Fire Fist Ace, one of the Shichibukai, Jimbei. Each prisoner has a character about them as well..."

At a heavy wooden door, a voice says, "The visitors are checked in at this room." Domino instructs, "Please rest easy..." A cloaked figure replies, "If I could have you remove your mantle..." Inside the monitored room, Domino explains, "All of the rooms in Impel Down are monitored by surveillance Denden Mushi. The images are continually sent to the security monitors. Not that we're suspecting you of anything; it's just so that you don't take any improper actions. So we'll keep it here. That would be the easiest place to hide something, after all." Luffy and Hancock react with surprise. A voice requests, "Please be gentle..." Domino commands, "Now, put on these Kairoseki handcuffs first..." Luffy yelps in pain as the cuffs snap shut.

Hancock's pet snake Salome coils nearby as she speaks with Luffy. She says, "I wanted to be of more help to you, but... it looks like this is as far as I can take you. I won't be able to use my powers from here on in... and without my mantle, there's no place for you to hide." Luffy grins widely after escaping the cuffs. Hancock warns, "Whatever you do, don't do anything that'll get you noticed!! Luffy... this place is a fortress built to keep people in...!! You're strong... but don't run wild!! Please promise me that...!! If they catch you, you'll never get out again...!!" Luffy laughs, "Puhaha! That was close!! I was about to jump out and take my chances on not being seen. You got me onto the warship and into the building. What're you talking about!I If I were on my own, I wouldn't even have gotten this far!! That's plenty!!"

Luffy beams at Hancock, "All right, I got it! It's a promise!! Thanks for everything, Hancock!! I'll never forget this debt!! I'll definitely repay you one day!!!" Hancock blushes intensely, hearts appearing around her as she thinks, "He called me Hancock...I He called me..." She stammers internally while Luffy dashes off. Alarms blare as Magellan and Hannyabal react outside. "Vice-Warden Hannyabal!! The picture from the Denden Mushi in the examination room has been cut. Is anything going onI" Domino's voice questions, "That's Domino's roomI" The surveillance snail is shown cut off amid flashing lights and sirens: "Biii! Biii! Biii!!"

Inside the massive stone elevator of Impel Down, Magellan stands with his trident, glaring as the picture is restored. "THE PICTURE HAS BEEN RESTORED. THERE'S NO PROBLEM." Domino, holding her staff, replies calmly, "MY APOLOGIES, DID I TAKE TOO LONGI" A voice from the side calls out, "DOMINO!! IS SOMETHING WRONG!I" while another figure checks the body. "YEAH, THERE'S NOTHING WRONG HERE!!" "STRANGE, THERE'S A LITTLE GAP IN MY MEMORY..." "I'VE FINISHED THE BODY CHECK." Magellan growls, "CERTAINLY, THIS WAY TO OUR LARGE ELEVATOR." As the group moves, he adds, "LET'S BE ON OUR WAY..." A close-up shows his fierce face: "WE MEAN NO DISRESPECT, BUT THESE ARE JUST THE RULES..." Domino turns sharply, "HMPH...!! THESE THINGS ARE QUITE UNCOMFORTABLE... I'M NOT A PRISONER, EITHER...!!!" Someone demands, "WHO DO YOU THINK I AMI"

The elevator reaches the fourth floor with a loud "ガコォォォン!!!" Magellan announces, "USING THIS ELEVATOR, WE CAN REACH THE FOURTH FLOOR. WE'LL GO TO THE SCORCHING HEAT FLOOR, WHERE WARDEN MAGELLAN IS. IT'LL GET HOT, SO BE PREPARED." Guards and prisoners stand in the background near the massive gates. Luffy's silhouette appears with "..." A prisoner in stripes threatens, "YOU'LL BE ABLE TO FEEL IT, SO PLEASE ENJOY YOURSELF. WE'LL PASS THROUGH LEVELS 1 THROUGH 3, AND YOU'LL HEAR THE SCREAMS OF THE PRISONERS." Domino stares ahead with intense eyes. "FOR YOUR FORTUNE...!!!!" A small prisoner cheers, "THANKS!!" while another mutters "PAKU PAKU" and "I'M PRAYING..."

Domino's eyes widen in shock as a voice echoes, "HE SAID 'I LOVE YOU'....!!!" She clutches her face with "!!!" and sweat drops. The group reacts in confusion: "HEY, WHAT HAPPENED ALL OF A SUDDEN...!!I" "GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!!" "L... LADY HANCOCK!I WHAT'S WRONG!I" A bearded man in stripes stands with arms crossed. The small prisoner with a hat grins, "NOW THEN... WHICH WAY DO I GOI" while a woman sighs, "HAAA... ♡" The prisoner spots something: "THE VIVRE CARD!!" and dives, "AH! THAT'S RIGHT!! I CAN USE..." He mutters while searching, "ごそごそ..." Another panel shows him realizing, "HANCOCK SAID THAT ACE IS PROBABLY GONNA BE ON THE SEA FLOOR, TOO. THEY SAID THAT ELEVATOR GOES UNDERGROUND."

A massive sea creature bursts from the water with a roar, "OOHHH!!!" and "GYAO OOO". Its skeletal striped body thrashes violently amid splashes and debris. The beast lunges with jaws open, "OOOOOHHH!!!" as impact sounds "ザンッ!!" and "ザンッ!!" ring out. In the chaos, a small figure with a skull shirt and axes is flung through the air, screaming "OOHHH!!!" while the creature continues its rampage with more "ゴォォォン" and "ゴォォォ" effects.

High above the stone fortress, orders ring out: "RATION COLLECTION COMPLETE." "THE BLUGORI PRISON GUARDS HAVE RETURNED." "OPEN THE HATCH." Massive hatches grind open as debris tumbles and the hulking Blugori beasts return. Below, a guard praises the creatures with "GOOD WORK" while one Blugori roars "UHOHO!" In the monitor room, staff frantically report: "THE PIRATE WHO DISAPPEARED FROM THE NUMBER 4 MIXED RESIDENCE CELLS ON LEVEL 1, BUGGY THE CLOWN. HE HAS BEEN SIGHTED IN THE PASSAGE IN FRONT OF CELL BLOCK 221!!" "WE'VE FOUND HIM!!" Alarms blare as the search intensifies.

Buggy panics as he realizes he has been spotted: "IT WAS YOU!! YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!" "THEY FOUND ME!!...!!! DAMN IT!!" Guards shout "CAPTURE HIM IMMEDIATELY!!" In the cell block, striped prisoners react in shock. One yells "HE'S IN FOR A HELL OF A TORTURE SESSION, EEHIIIHIII!" Another notes "JUST LOOK HOW HE'S ENDING UP!" while a third adds "HEAR THATI IT'S BUGGY!! THIS HAPPENS TO HIM CUZ HE'S TRYIN' TO ESCAPE ON HIS OWN." The surveillance image is lost. Suddenly the Blugori charge in with a massive impact; prisoners cheer "HYAHYA-HYAHYA!" "GO GET HIM!!" "GO!!!" "HERE COME THE BLUGORIS!!"

Luffy stares at the Vivre Card in his hand, sweat dripping. "IS THIS A DEAD ENDI... BUT I DEFINITELY WENT DOWN..." "HAA..." "HAA..." "LOOKS LIKE THE VIVRE CARD IS TELLING ME TO GO DOWN." He descends a spiral staircase into the depths. Guards spot a fleeing prisoner: "SEEMS LIKE HE'S GOT A DEVIL FRUIT POWER. DON'T FORGET THE KAIROUSEKI!" "WHAT, IT'S NOT LIKE HE'S ACTUALLY GONNA ESCAPE." "IT'S PRISONER NUMBER 8200." Alarms sound as more guards rush in shouting "HURRY!!" "SPLIT UP AND FLANK HIM!" "ALL RIGHT, I'M IN!" A heavy gate slams shut with "GAKON..."

A vast stone chamber labeled "Impel Down, First Floor Underground Level 1, the Crimson Floor" stretches out. Luffy climbs the stairs muttering "WELL, WHATEVER, GOTTA MOVE ON!" Distant screams echo; he wonders "SCREAMS...I" Suddenly striped prisoners confront him. One demands "GET OUT...I I CAME FROM OUTSIDE." Another grabs at him yelling "WAIT, WAIT!! DON'T LIE, YOU BASTARD!" "WAIT, WAIT, HOW DID YOU GET OUTSIDEI" A third prisoner excitedly shouts "HEY HEY HEY, BRO! BRO!!" Luffy looks surprised amid the chaos.

Luffy stands before a row of cells on Level 5 as prisoners crowd the bars. One prisoner yells, "ACE... YOU MEAN FIRE FIST ACE...!I!I" Another shouts, "...ACE!I" and "OH!I DO YOU KNOW WHERE ACE ISI" A third demands, "AND WHY AREN'T YOU IN A CELL!I!I" while another asks, "WHO ARE YOUI YOU AIN'T A JAILER OR A GUARD." Luffy replies that he wants to save Ace. Prisoners react in shock: "TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!" "BUT HE'D DEFINITELY BE PUT IN LEVEL 5!! THERE'S NO WAY YOU'LL EVER GET CLOSE!" "THAT'S THE FLOOR WHERE THEY KEEP EVERYONE WITH A BOUNTY OVER 100 MILLION!!" One prisoner adds, "I HEARD HE'D BEEN BROUGHT HERE RECENTLY." Luffy grins, "PUHEHEHE, DON'T BE STUPID!! THAT'S RIGHT, I WANT TO SAVE HIM!!" Suddenly a massive roar erupts as something attacks; Luffy's eyes widen in terror, "GYAAA-AAHHH!!!" Prisoners plead, "MEETING UP WITH YOU IN THIS HUGE WORLD... IT'S GOTTA BE FATE! RIGHT!I!I" "YEAH!! I'M BEGGIN' YA, BRO!!" "AND PICK UP THE KEY FOR USI" One suggests, "SO BRO, WHY DON'T YOU HEAD OVER TO THE GUARD ROOM" as Luffy stares down the corridor labeled "LEVEL 5."

A monstrous Blugoris bursts from the wall, smashing a prisoner. Luffy spins around, "WHAT'S THAT!I!I LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE'S BEING CHASED!!" The creature rampages with heavy impacts "バキッ!!" and "GYAAA AHH!!!" as the prisoner screams "WAH!!" A skull-marked gas cloud appears. The prisoner yells, "GET OUTTA HERE, BRO, THEY'LL KILL YOU!!" Luffy shouts, "BLUGORISI" The beast charges; Luffy and the prisoner flee in panic. Luffy cries, "UWAHH!!! WHAT'S WITH THESE GUYS!I!I" while the prisoner screams, "IT'S SO HARD TO RUN!!" and "HE CUT ME IN HALF!!!" The Blugoris pursues them down the stone corridor amid flying debris and motion lines.

Buggy's head detaches and spins wildly, roaring "SHAKIN!! GYHAHAHAHA, YOU THINK YOU CAN CUT ME!I IDIOTS!!!" with massive sound effects "ギャーーン!!" and "あああああ". Luffy reacts in shock, "EH!I" as Buggy's body reconnects. Buggy yells, "WHY ARE YOU HERE!I!I" and "DOWAAAH!! STRAWHAT!I" while striking Luffy. Luffy counters with a punch. Buggy laughs, "HAH!! COULD YOU HAVE...!I YOU HEARD ABOUT HOW I WAS CAPTURED... AND YOU CAME... TO HELP ME..." Luffy retorts, "YOU'RE AS IMPUDENT AS ALWAYS!! I NEVER HEARD THAT YOU WERE CAUGHT TOO!" Buggy snaps, "DON'T SCREW AROUND, YOU MORON!!!" and "I CAME IN ON MY OWN, I WASN'T CAUGHT!!" Luffy asks, "WHAT KIND OF IDIOT WOULD GO INTO A PRISON ON HIS OWN!I!I" Buggy is sent flying by an impact "レレレレレレ" as Luffy stands ready.

Luffy and Buggy clash violently. Luffy shouts, "I PROMISED HANCOCK THAT I WOULDN'T DRAW ATTENTION TO MYSELF, BUT YOU CAME ALONG AND SCREWED IT ALL UP!!!" Buggy retorts, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!I!I" and "THERE'S NO WAY, YOU STUPID BASTARD!!! THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG HERE!!!" Buggy complains, "YOU RUINED MY 'BUGGY SNEAKILY ESCAPES' PLAN!!!" Luffy replies, "DON'T CARE." Buggy yells, "AHHH!!I" as they continue fighting. Luffy demands, "WHAT'RE YOU TALKING ABOUT, IDIOT!I!I IF WE'RE CAUGHT, THEY'LL TORTURE THE HELL OUT OF US!!" Buggy answers, "YOU DON'T KNOW!!I THESE GUYS DON'T HAVE BLOOD OR TEARS!!" Luffy asks, "IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET AWAY!I" Buggy warns, "WAH!! THEY'RE COMING FROM THE FRONT TOO!!" Luffy grits his teeth, "DAMN IT!!!"

Luffy stares ahead with wide eyes, sweat flying as he processes the situation. "YOU GUYS ARE BOTH OPTIMISTIC TO A FAULT...!!!" he exclaims, followed by "...!!! THAT'S WHAT I HATE ABOUT YOU AND THE RED HAIR...!!!" A small voice mutters "よぉ..." while another adds "ALL RIGHT, FINE, I GET IT... WE'VE JUST GOTTA DO THIS, RIGHTI" Luffy clenches his fists and declares, "AND NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT, THINGS ARE ALREADY MESSED UP. I CAN'T GET CAUGHT NOW, I'M IN A HURRY." In a sudden burst of resolve he shouts "GOT IT!!!" and announces "CHANGING TO THE 'MAKE A HUGE UPROAR' PLAN!!!" He smashes forward through debris and metal bars with explosive force, the impact sending cracks and motion lines everywhere as an enormous "!!!I" reaction echoes below him.
