Hiriluk arrives at the Drum Castle, panting heavily and coughing. "PANT PANT... COUGH". He looks up in shock, muttering, "WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS... WHAT...!?" From a high balcony on the castle, Wapol looks down and laughs mockingly, "MAHAHAHA! STILL CAN'T REALIZE IT!?" Hiriluk stands alone in the snow before the grand castle, surrounded by a large contingent of armed guards. He realizes the deception and shouts, "THIS IS A TRAP! THE MD-20 ARE PERFECTLY FINE AS YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF!" A massive "DOOON!!" sound effect emphasizes the dramatic reveal of the ambush.

Wapol continues to laugh from his vantage point, "HAHAHAHA. ALL YOU'VE COME HERE FOR IS TO MEET YOUR DEATH, DR. HILULUK!" Hiriluk looks up, questioning, "WHY DID YOU COME...!?" Dalton is shown nearby, his face tense and conflicted. Wapol angrily declares, "YOUR CRIMES ARE HEAVY FOR DEFYING MY ROYAL WILL FOR SO LONG! COMMENCE THE EXECUTION, GUARDS! TAKE AIM!" Despite the dire situation, Hiriluk simply smiles and says, "IS THAT SO... WHAT A DIMWIT! HEH..." The guards ready their rifles, aiming directly at him with a loud "GACHA!!" sound effect.

To everyone's surprise, Hiriluk sits down in the snow, dropping his medical bag. He looks incredibly relieved and says, "THANK GOD, NOBODY'S SICK..." Dalton stares at him in shock, "!!?" Hiriluk smiles broadly, tears welling in his eyes as he speaks to the bewildered guards and Dalton. "HERE I WAS, THINKING THAT THE COUNTRY WAS IN CRISIS... BUT IT WAS ALL JUST A LITTLE TRICK INSTEAD..."

Wapol is infuriated by Hiriluk's reaction. "AHAHA! IF THIS COUNTRY REALLY WERE IN CRISIS, A QUACK DOCTOR LIKE YOU WOULD BE THE LAST PERSON I'D WANT TO COME! IGNORE THIS QUACK'S WORTHLESS BLATHER AND SHOOT!" Hiriluk raises a hand calmly, commanding, "STOP." He pulls out a small glass bottle marked with a skull and crossbones. "YOU PEOPLE CAN'T POSSIBLY KILL ME." The guards are taken aback, muttering, "WHAT!?" Hiriluk looks forward with intense resolve and asks a profound question: "WHEN DO YOU THINK A PERSON DIES...?"

Chopper is shown running frantically through the snowy forest, panting heavily. "DOC-TOOO-OOR!" "PANT PANT". Meanwhile, Hiriluk continues his speech to the guards. "WHEN HIS HEART IS PIERCED BY A BULLET? NO..." Chopper continues his desperate sprint towards the castle. Hiriluk goes on, "WHEN HE DRINKS SOUP, MADE FROM A POISONOUS MUSHROOM...? NO!" Chopper is seen running up the snowy path leading to the Drum Castle, determined to reach his mentor.

Chopper continues his urgent run. Hiriluk, still sitting peacefully in the snow, delivers the climax of his speech: "A MAN DIES, WHEN HE IS FORGOTTEN...!" He holds up the small glass bottle containing the explosive liquid. "EVEN IF I'M GONE, MY DREAM WILL COME TRUE. THE SICK HEARTS OF THIS COUNTRY'S CITIZENS TOO WILL BE SAVED...!" Dalton listens, his eyes widening in profound shock and realization. "!!!"

Tears stream down Dalton's face as he listens. Hiriluk notices and smiles gently, "WHY THE TEARS, DALTON? AS LONG AS THERE ARE THOSE TO INHERIT THE WILL... CAN THE SAME BE SAID FOR THE COUNTRY AS WELL...?" Wapol, oblivious to the emotional weight of the moment, laughs cruelly. "EH EH... BAHAHAHA! THE HECK ARE YOU CRYING FOR, DALTON!? A MONSTER SHALL SOON COME HERE." Hiriluk holds up a small cup filled with the liquid from his bottle. "HE IS MY SON, SO DON'T LAY A HAND UPON HIM. DON'T WORRY, CHOPPER. I WON'T DIE FROM YOUR MUSHROOM..."

Hiriluk throws his arms wide open, a massive, joyful smile on his face as he shouts to the heavens, "WHAT A SPECTACULAR LIFE IT'S BEEN! TRULY!" He swiftly drinks the liquid from the cup. "GULP". Wapol watches, confused and suspicious. "JUST WHAT IS HE PLANNING...?" Elsewhere, Kureha is shown taking a swig from a bottle, softly saying, "FAREWELL, QUACK DOCTOR!" As Hiriluk sits before the castle, he thinks his final words: "THANK YOU, CHOPPER."

A massive explosion erupts exactly where Hiriluk was sitting. A huge plume of smoke and debris blasts into the sky with a deafening "BOOOM". The sheer force of the shockwave blows the surrounding guards off their feet, sending them flying backward through the snow as they scream, "AGHHHHH!"

Chopper arrives just in time to see the massive explosion in the distance. He stops in his tracks, his hat flying off his head as he stares in horror. "OOO..." Wapol bursts into hysterical, mocking laughter. "MAHAHA-HAHA! MAAAAAHA-HAHAHA! HE BLEW HIMSELF UP ON HIS OWN! A FITTING END FOR THE LOONIEST LOON I EVER KNEW! MAHAHAHA!" Overcome with unimaginable grief and rage, Chopper lets out a heart-wrenching scream, "ARGHHHHHH!" He transforms into his large, muscular Heavy Point form and charges furiously toward the castle. A panicked guard points at him, yelling, "YOUR MAJESTY! THERE'S SOMETHING COMING AND IT DOESN'T LOOK HUMAN! A MONSTER!" Wapol immediately orders, "SHOOT HIM!"

Chopper, in his Heavy Point form, violently crashes through the line of guards, sending one flying with a powerful punch. "BAM!!" The guards panic, shouting, "WAIT! GET'IM, DALTON! KILL IT!" Suddenly, Dalton intercepts Chopper, slashing him across the chest with his sword. Chopper falls hard into the snow. Dalton stands over the injured reindeer, tears streaming down his face, and yells, "GET AWAY FROM HERE!"

Chopper looks up from the snow, injured and angry. Dalton, still crying, speaks to him with desperate intensity. "IF YOU CAN'T EVEN BEAT ME, THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN TAKE ON THE REST OF THEM! IF IT'S ABOUT THEM LAUGHING AT HILULUK'S DEATH, I APOLOGIZE...! BUT YOU'LL ONLY DIE A DOG'S DEATH BY JUMPING IN!" Dalton's face is fierce with sorrow. "DON'T... DON'T BECOME ANOTHER SACRIFICE TO THIS COUNTRY!" Wapol is furious at Dalton's interference. "ENOUGH! HOW DARE YOU LET HIM ESCAPE, DALTON! YOU REALIZE WHAT THE PUNISHMENT FOR DEFYING A KING'S ORDER IS, DON'T Y-" Dalton turns to face Wapol, tears still falling, and pleads, "I BEG OF YOU!"

Dalton continues his impassioned plea to Wapol, gesturing toward the castle. "DON'T YOU REALIZE!? THE ONLY MAN WHO WISHED TO SAVE THIS COUNTRY DIED JUST NOW! WHILE OTHERS HAVE LONG GIVEN UP ON THIS COUNTRY AND THOUGHT IT HOPELESS, THERE WAS ONE KIND DOCTOR WHO SURPRISINGLY ENDEAVOURED TO SAVE IT! BUT THAT MAN HAS NOW PERISHED!" Wapol casually picks his nose, completely unmoved. "SO WHAT IF ONE QUACK DOCTOR DIED!? IF YOU'RE GOING TO APOLOGIZE, I SUGGEST YOU DO IT NOW, DALTON." Dalton's expression hardens into resolute despair. "I NOW SEE CLEARLY THE FATE OF THIS KINGDOM... INEVITABLE RUIN." Wapol snaps, "WHAT!?" Dalton yells back, "AS LONG AS WE CONTINUE TO TRAMPLE THE PEOPLE BENEATH OUR FEET, THIS COUNTRY CAN NEVER BE FIXED! NO MATTER HOW ADVANCED THE DOCTORS OF THIS COUNTRY AND THEIR MEDICINE ARE, THIS COUNTRY'S DOOMED FATE SHALL NOT CHANGE!"

Dalton screams with all his might, his face contorted in anger and sorrow: "BECAUSE THERE IS NO CURE FOR A FOOL!" Wapol glares back, seething with rage. "HOW DARE YOU... YOU SHOULD BE WELL AWARE OF WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO TRULY ANGER ME... RIGHT, DALTON...?" The scene then shifts to Chopper, back in his Brain Point form, arriving at Kureha's home. He is frantically waving Hiriluk's skull-and-crossbones flag in the snowy wind. "PLEASE! TEACH ME TO BECOME A DOCTOR!"

Chopper waves the pirate flag vigorously in front of Kureha, who looks down at him. Chopper cries out with absolute determination, "I'LL BECOME THE PANACEA MYSELF! I'LL BECOME A DOCTOR THAT CAN CURE ANYTHING! BECAUSE...!" Kureha listens silently. Chopper continues, tears in his eyes, "BECAUSE THERE ARE NO INCURABLE DISEASES, IN THIS WHOLE WORLD!" Kureha smiles slightly, acknowledging his resolve. "DOCTRESS... THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE TO ADDRESS ME FROM NOW ON..."

The flashback ends, returning to the present. Dalton is shown locked behind heavy iron bars in a dungeon. He declares, "I'LL INHERIT THE WILL OF THE FORMER KING...! UNTIL I CAN BRING PEACE TO THIS COUNTRY AGAIN, I REFUSE TO DIE!" Outside, Wapol laughs arrogantly. "JUST ONE LITTLE 'SORRY' AND I'LL BE HAPPY TO FORGIVE YOU, DALTON. MAHAHAHA!" Wapol continues to gloat, "MAHAHAHAHA! OH WHY OH WHY AM I SURROUNDED BY A BUNCH OF DUMB HIPPOS!?" He yells triumphantly, "THIS COUNTRY IS MINE AND MINE TO RULE! THE KING IS ABOVE REPROACH!" In the final panel, Luffy is shown with an expression of pure, unadulterated fury. He stretches his arm far back, preparing to deliver a devastating punch.

Luffy unleashes his stretched arm, delivering a massive, high-speed punch directly into Wapol's face. The impact is explosive, accompanied by a large "BULLET" sound effect. Wapol's face is completely caved in by the sheer force of the blow, sending him reeling backward. Text at the bottom reads: "16 VOLUME 16 'INHERITED WILL' (END)".
