The doctor screams "AHHHHH!" with wide eyes as black spots appear. Chopper reacts with "AH-" and "HMI" while a voice asks, "DOC, WHAT'S THATI" Chopper notes, "THAT'S THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN IT DO THAT." The doctor excitedly declares, "I'VE BEEN WAITING OVER 30 YEARS FOR THIS...!" and "THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE REACTION I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!" Chopper watches in amazement. In the final splash the doctor shouts triumphantly, "I CAN BRING THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS TO THIS WINTER ISLAND NOW! I DID IT, CHOPPER! Bandaged Chopper faces Kureha in the doorway. "YOU'RE IN FAR MORE CRITICAL CONDITION THAN I AM, WHAT WITH ALL THOSE WOUNDS OF YOURS!" Kureha replies, "NOW STAY PUT WHILE I GO OUT FOR A LITTLE BIT," and commands the door, "OPEN." Chopper answers, "ALRIGHT..." Kureha steps out into the snow as Chopper is struck from behind. "HEY, CHOPPER!" someone yells. Kureha walks away smiling, "DOC WAS REAL HAPPY... I ACTUALLY CURED SOMEBODY! THEN I'LL BE OFF!" In a large close-up, Chopper grins widely and declares, "I GUARANTEE IT!" Kureha looks back and says, "YOU'RE GOING TO BE A WONDERFUL DOCTOR!"

Kureha stands outside a building and speaks into a Den Den Mushi, "THIS COUNTRY'S IN A REAL CRISIS RIGHT NOW." She continues, "DID YOU HEAR, KUREHAI" A close-up shows an angry man with wild hair and a mustache replying, "RIDICULOUS... JUST BETTER TO LEAVE THINGS BE. IT'LL SOLVE ITSELF SOONER OR LATER." Kureha, wearing goggles, answers, "YEAH, I HEARD. THE MD-20S HAVE APPARENTLY ALL COLLAPSED FROM SOME ILLNESS."

Inside a grand room lined with bookshelves, Hiriluk stands facing Kureha. "ACTUALLY, I HAVE A REQUEST," he begins. Kureha cuts him off, "I REFUSE." COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO SAY A WORD OF THANKS, RIGHTI SO WHAT DID YOU COME HERE FOR TODAYI" Hiriluk opens a small pouch, releasing a puff of powder. "IS THIS DIRT OR SOMETHINGI THE HELLI" he mutters. Kureha questions, "WELL NONE OF YOUR REQUESTS EVER PAY OUT FOR ME. I HAVEN'T EVEN TOLD YOU WHAT IT IS!" Kureha shouts from the doorway, "NOW GET OUT!" with a loud "バンッ...!!" as the door slams. Chopper walks away sadly through the snow, the narration box reading "OF CHOPPER..." A small panel shows him trudging past a tree marked with a cross. Townspeople gather in the snowy village square, yelling angrily: "YELLING AT US WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING! DOCTORS ARE HUMAN TOO, IT'S NOT STRANGE FOR THEM TO FALL SICK." "AT LEAST GIVE US SOME MEDICINE!" Inside a room, a cloaked figure holds a sack while speaking with Hiriluk, who reclines on a couch. The figure says, "THAT'S NOT LIKE YOU AT ALL..." Hiriluk replies, "EVEN WITH THE TWO WEEKS YOU STILL HAVE LEFT...I" The figure continues, "ARE YOU SAYING YOU CAN'T ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING, YOU GIVE UP AND ASK ME INSTEAD...I" Hiriluk answers, "AFTER ALL THAT TALK ABOUT SAVING THIS COUNTRY." Explosions and smoke fill the air with large SFX "ドッドッドッドッ" and "ビビビビビ" as Hiriluk charges forward through the snowy streets, the crowd scattering in fear.
