Elbaf's Past Revealed

Massive snowy cliffs tower under a stormy sky as a chained lift ascends with loud WHURR and Japanese SFX. Narration states: THE LIFT ASCENDS TO THE SUN REALM! Inside the lift, figures discuss: THEY PLAN TO ABDUCT TEN CHILDREN FROM ELBAF... THEIR OBJECTIVE IS CLEAR... THERE ARE THREE FOES UP THERE!! A bearded man with a helmet and fur collar declares: LEVERAGE TO TURN THE WARRIORS OF ELBAF INTO BATTLE THRALLS. THE CHILDREN WILL SERVE AS LIVING SHIELDS......AND TAKE THEM TO THE HOLY LAND. Smaller figures including a helmeted child and a feathered warrior stand nearby as the lift rises.

A woman with braided hair and a scarf holds a small object while saying SORRY. I HAVE NO EXCUSE. A large helmeted warrior shouts: THREE HUMANS DID ALL THIS!!! TO THINK THAT NOT EVEN THE GIANT WARRIOR PIRATES OR YA-SAN COULD STOP THEM!!! In the next panels, an elderly man with glasses explains:...WITH A STRANGE ARROW ABILITY. THE CHILDREN ARE UNABLE TO RESIST HER. ONE OF THE THREE IS A WOMAN... A long-haired man and another figure discuss: HOW CAN THREE PEOPLE OUR SIZE MOVE THEMI THEY MAY BE KIDS, BUT THEY'RE STILL GIANTS, RIGHTI Below, a massive ship waits at the harbor as silhouettes march toward it. Dialogue warns: IT'S ALL OVER IF THEY REACH A SHIP AND ESCAPE TO SEA. IT'LL ALL COME DOWN TO THAT!! THEY JUST KEEP MARCHING TOWARD THE WEST VILLAGE HARBOR.

The group discusses the threat. "HE BECAME A BRIAR MAN AFTER EATING THE THORN-THORN FRUIT!! HE CAN FREELY MANIPULATE VINES WITH SHARP THORNS!!" one explains. "I KNOW A BIT ABOUT HIM... ONE OF THE THREE IS A MAN NAMED SUMMERS..." another adds. "WHY CAN'T WE JUST TAKE BACK THE KIDSI" demands a voice. The woman with braids listens as the discussion continues: "INDEED. THEY'RE AS TOUGH AS IRON. IF WE CLUMSILY TRY TO GET THE KIDS TO BREAK THEIR LINE FORMATION, THEY'LL TURN INTO PIN CUSHIONS. SO WE CAN'T GRAB THEMI! THAT'S SO CRUEL!!...AND HE'S WRAPPED THEM AROUND THE CHILDREN. THE VINES CAN BECOME TRANSPARENT..." Small figures are shown tangled in the vines. "IT'S BEEN SET UP SO THAT THEY'LL HURT EACH OTHER!!" The old man with sunglasses shouts in alarm: "THE THINGS THE KIDS FIND SCARY HAVE COME TO LIFE TO PREVENT THEIR ESCAPE!! AND ON TOP OF THAT... THE LAST ONE SEEMS TO HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE NIGHTMARES COME TRUE!!" A small child-like figure slumps with "Zzz" as monstrous shapes loom in thought bubbles.

The giant in the fur coat and helmet continues, "...WITH THEIR THREE ABILITIES. THE INTRUDERS HAVE SET UP SOME SORT OF TWISTED GAME... WE'LL SAVE THOSE KIDS NO MATTER WHAT!!!" The braided-hair giantess replies, "THE KIDS MAY APPEAR TO JUST BE WADDLING ALONG IN BROAD DAYLIGHT... BUT IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO STOP THEM." Below, the chaotic scene erupts with massive monsters attacking ships and structures. "WE COULD TRY TRAPPING THEM... OR CRUSHING THEM... MAYBE EVEN EATING THEM!! EVEN IF THEY'RE IMMORTAL AS THEY CLAIM, THERE SHOULD BE A WAY TO TAKE THEM DOWN. SEEMS LIKE THE QUICKEST SOLUTION IS TO TARGET THE THREE ABILITY USERS." A small figure yells "HA HA... SOUNDS PROMISING. LET'S DO THIS!!" as the view reveals a towering structure: "IT'S THE SUN REALM!! PREPARE TO DISEMBARK!!" The landing shakes with "THUUNKKK" and impact sounds as characters react with "HUHI!" and "WHOA!!"

Chaos engulfs the Sun Realm as massive nightmare monsters rampage. "BUT THEY WERE SHOT DOWN BY THOSE MONSTERS!! DORRY AND BROGY WERE ABOARD IT EARLIER, LEADING THE CHARGE WITH THEIR CREW... THAT CAN'T BE...!!" A giant stares in shock. Explosions and destruction fill the panels with SFX like "ZSHHH", "DON DON", and "BWOOM!!". "IS THAT THE GREAT EIRIKI!" voices cry amid the fray. "LOOK AT THAT!! ARE THERE NO LIMITS TO THESE NIGHTMARE MONSTERSI! THIS IS BEYOND ANYTHING I IMAGINED!!" Hajrudin and other warriors battle the creatures. "KASHI-SAN!! I'M GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!! I WAS IN THE REALM OF THE DEAD!! TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON!!" one shouts. "YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS!! LISTEN CLOSELY..." another warns as the battlefield erupts in further violence.

The battle intensifies with giants clashing amid flying debris and monster attacks. "...ARE TRYING TO KILL ELDER JARULI! THEY ALL WENT CRAZY!! PLEASE, YOU'VE GOT TO STOP THEM!! DORRY AND BROGY..." a voice pleads. Weapons swing wildly with impact SFX. In another area, a striped-hood figure addresses others: "HEY, RODO!! LISTEN... WHA--I!" A crouched warrior responds amid the fray, "WE'VE HAD NO WORD ON THEIR STATUS. THE KIDS MAY HAVE ALREADY REACHED THE HARBOR BY NOW!! RIPLEY AND THE OTHERS WENT AFTER THEM, BUT... KASHI-SAN, HOW ABOUT THE CHILDRENI!" The braided-hair giantess stands nearby holding a small figure as the nightmare assault continues around them.

An explosion rocks the rocky cliffs as a massive blast erupts. "MY LITTLE BROTHER IS ONE OF THE HOSTAGESI!" someone cries in panic. "RODO!!!" another voice shouts desperately. "THIS IS BAD!!!" a striped-hatted giant exclaims with wide eyes. "BJORN WAS TAKEN...I!I!" he adds in shock. Below, a long-haired woman lunges forward with a determined glare, shouting "ME TOO!!" and "I'LL JOIN YOU!!" as motion lines streak past her. In the lower panels, a goggled man with spiky hair gestures urgently: "ANYWAY, YOU SAID DORRY AND BROGY HAVE GONE CRAZYI!" "THAT'S RIGHT...!!" comes the reply. Nearby figures react to distant smoke and flames: "IT'S COMING FROM BOTH THE SCHOOL AND THE LIBRARY!!" "CAN YOU SEE THE FIREI!" "HEY, KASHI, WHICH WAY'S THE SCHOOLI!" "NAMI-SAN AND THE REST SHOULD BE CLOSE!!" "WHY IS IT ON FIREI!"

A massive warrior bellows "BEGONE, YOU VILE CREATURES!!!" while a woman yells "HANG IN THERE, KIDS!!" and "CHILD RESCUE TEAM" is labeled overhead. A detailed map of the island shows locations including Ouest Castle, West Village (Jarul), School and Library, with arrows marking the Branch No. 8 path and current positions of allies like Rodo, Stansen, and others. "NO WHINING!! WE'RE WARRIORS OF ELBAF!!" a horned-hat giant declares. "WE'RE HEADING TO THE HARBOR, AREN'T WEI IF WE GET THERE..." A small child protests "BUT WE'RE NOT WARRIORS!!" while another scene shows a spear-wielding giant attacking: "PLEASE STOP, CAPTAINS! OPEN YOUR EYES!!" "KILL... JARUL!!!" The library burns as figures shout "I DOUBT CHOPPER WILL BE BACK ANYTIME SOON..." and "NEAR THE LIBRARY – THE STRAW HATS". "THE DOMI REVERSI! MASTER BROGY!!!" a warrior cries amid the flames.

Elder Jarul stands before the people of Elbaf, his voice heavy. "I WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING BEFORE I DIE!!!" he declares as a massive explosion and winged creatures fill the sky. "LISTEN, PEOPLE OF ELBAF!!" A close-up shows a snail-like creature reacting with "GATCHA!" In the flashback panels, Jarul continues: "...AND THAT LED TO HIS ATTEMPT TO JOIN THE WORLD GOVERNMENT!!" "...ALWAYS BELIEVED IN ELBAF COMING TOGETHER WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD..." "OUR LATE, DEAR KING HARALD..." The scene shifts to 14 years ago: "...14 YEARS AGO, ON THAT FATEFUL DAY..." with images of a castle under attack and fleeing figures. Jarul's silhouette watches as the narration notes "BUT HIS EFFORTS WERE SHUNNED AND BETRAYED..."

The flashback intensifies as Jarul recounts the tragedy. "HARALD STRUGGLED TO HIS LAST BREATH TO KEEP ELBAF..." "...WERE KILLED BY THE ACT OF A DEMON!!" "I SAW IT ALL WITH MY VERY OWN EYES!! HARALD AND ALL THOSE SOLDIERS..." A demonic figure looms over the chaos. "...WOULD RISE UP IN REVENGE, LEADING US INTO AN UNTIMELY WAR..." "I HELD MY TONGUE, FEARING THAT OUR PEOPLE..." "...FROM FALLING INTO THAT DEMON'S HANDS!!!" A horned warrior cries "WAITI! SO LOKI DIDN'T KILL OUR KING...I" In the present, Jarul faces the shocked crowd: "DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY, ELDER JARUL...!!" "THAT'S THE GIST, BUT IT'S NOT QUITE HOW I'D PUT IT." "HE MAY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BOORISH, BUT... HE IS INNOCENT!!!" "LOKI TOOK THE PEOPLE'S ANGER UPON HIMSELF WHEN HE SAILED OUT TO SEA!!" The panel ends with a giant "WHATI!" and impact effects as the revelation sinks in.

In the skies above Elbaf, a winged woman in a military coat hovers with massive black wings spread wide. She declares, "I HAD HOPED THIS MATTER WAS BEHIND US, BUT WE ARE ONCE MORE IN NEED OF GREAT POWER!" Nearby, a boy in a diving helmet grips a massive weapon as flames erupt around him. An unseen speaker warns, "THREE NEW DEMONS HAVE APPEARED TO SUBJUGATE OUR NATION, NOW TODAY...!!!" Below, the giant elder Jarul sits cross-legged, shouting, "THE ELBAF I ADMIRE WOULD NEVER BEND THE KNEE!!" A small helmeted child cries out, "COVER YOUR EARS IF YOU CAN...!!" Jarul continues, "WELL SAID, JARUL!!" The narration states, "...THE WORLD IS BOUND TO FACE A GREAT DIVIDE ONE DAY...!!!" and "IF THE HARLEY PROPHECIES ARE TRUE..." A cloaked figure adds, "YOU SPEAK OF SUBJECTING US AND PICTURE OUR PEOPLE TO BE YOUR SLAVES...!! WHO THE HELL DO YOU BASTARDS THINK YOU'RE DEALING WITH!!!" Another voice replies, "WE WILL NOT SHOW YOU THE SAME PATIENCE HARALD DID!" A stern woman warns, "IF YOU THINK THIS ACT WILL CRUSH OUR SPIRIT, YOU'VE MADE A GRAVE MISTAKE!!" Jarul finishes, "...BUT LET OUR LITTLE ONES GO!! I'M SPEAKING TO YOU NOW, DEMONS!! YOU CAN TAKE OUR CULTURE AND HISTORY..."

Chaos erupts as giants clash with weapons raised. A massive impact strikes as voices shout, "...HARALD DREAMED OF!!!" and "WE WILL PROTECT THE PEACE..." A warrior yells, "YEEEEEAH!!!" Jarul's face fills the panel, declaring, "ALL ELBAF WILL STAND AGAINST THE WORLD GOVERNMENT!!!" He continues, "SO BE IT!! FROM THIS DAY FORWARD..." Smaller panels show Jarul facing the winged woman as she says, "I BET YOU DO. HE WAS KNOWN AS THE STRONGEST BEING TO EVER HAIL FROM THESE WATERS!!" and "...WOULD BE ENOUGH TO MAKE US BOWI!" She adds, "DID YOU REALLY THINK SOME THORNS, ILLUSIONS, AND THIS LITTLE REVERSI GAME..." A young man with a headband smiles confidently, "DON'T WORRY. I HAVE A PLAN." while thinking, "TCH..." Narration reads, "A SPARK OF RESISTANCE FLARES!!!" Voices cry, "GYAAAH!!! THE ELBAF I KNOW AND LOVE IS BACK!!!" and "WE GET IT ALREADY, USOPP!! FOCUS ON GETTING RID OF THESE DAMN ARROWS!!!" Jarul roars, "WHAT SAY YOU... PROUD WARRIORS OF ELBAF!!" The crowd answers, "WE WILL NEVER SUBMIT TO YOUR DOMINION!!" and "WELL SAID, ELDER JARUL!!!"
