A Marine officer demands, "Who the hell are you?" but Law ignores him and focuses on getting Luffy and Jimbei aboard.

More Marines surge through an underground passageway, and voices cry, "More Marines are coming!!!" On the deck of the submarine, Law and his crew prepare to receive Luffy and Jimbei while the surrounding forces realize the escape has become even more dangerous.

Blackbeard throws Marineford into greater chaos with Whitebeard's power, laughing, "Zehahaha-hahaha-hahaha!!!" and boasting, "What an incredible power!!!" The sea heaves into a huge wave and people scream, "Gyaaaah, the waves!!!" and "Uwaa-aahh!!!" His own crew warns him, "Hey, Captain!! If you're too reckless, we won't have any place to stand!!" but Teach answers, "But I still can't control it well!!!" He taunts Sengoku: "How's that, Sengoku the Buddha? Garp, the hero!? Your age is over, just like Whitebeard's!!! Can you stop me!?" At Sabaody Archipelago, an emergency broadcast warns that a tsunami is approaching the south coast after an earthquake near Marineford.

On Sabaody Archipelago, the broadcast tries to prevent panic while crowds flee. Announcers say, "In order not to cause a panic... Wait, everyone!! Calm down!" and then order, "Evacuate to the north part of the archipelago, everyone!! Get to high grounds near groves 40 to 50!!!" Back at Marineford, Pacifistas move through the shattered plaza and fire at the pirates with "Pyuun!!" blasts. A report says, "The Pacifistas have crossed over the fissures in the plaza!!!" while the Whitebeard Pirates and allied crews are forced to keep fighting through the ruins.
Coby breaks down in the middle of the battle. Helmeppo calls, "Hey, Coby!! What's the matter!?" and Coby pants, "Haa... haa... I don't know...!!! It's sad...!!!" When asked "Sad!?" he thinks, "Inside my head... the voices... are disappearing, one by one...!!!" Around him, the fighting continues. A pirate or ally tells Luffy, "Hang in there! You'll live if you get treated!!" while another voice snaps, "Leave him!! We're in the middle of a battle!!!" The Marines press the attack with orders: "Go after the pirates!!! Crush every last one of them!!!" Hancock watches and realizes, "They still want to fight!!! The Marines have achieved their objective, but they're fighting even harder now!!!" Coby trembles over the words "Justice... Evil... what's the difference in here?!!"

Coby's horror deepens as the killing continues. He sees that the Marines have already won, yet they still thirst for more, while Akainu declares, "I won't forgive the evils of piracy!!!" On the other side of the battlefield, Blackbeard rages, "Nobody can stop me now!!! I'll destroy everything!!! Engulf everything!!!" Kizaru spots the escaping submarine and says, "Why don't you just drop Strawhat Luffy!?" while someone warns, "It's Kizaru!!" The page contrasts Coby's grief over vanishing lives with the admirals and Blackbeard still escalating the war beyond its original purpose.

As the submarine begins to pull away, Coby rushes into the open and screams, "STOP IT!!!" The shout cuts across the battlefield beside the ship, stunning Marines, pirates, Law, and Kizaru. Faces turn toward him in disbelief and someone asks, "A Marine?" Another voice cries, "Coby!!!" Coby stands alone in the churned water and broken ground, shaking but refusing to stay silent. For a moment, the pursuing attacks pause because an ordinary Marine recruit has put himself in front of the momentum of the entire war.
Coby shouts everything he has been unable to bear: "Just stop already!!! We can stop fighting now!!!" As the battlefield stares at him, people ask, "Who's that...?" and "Someone..." Coby continues through tears, "The soldiers are dying, one by one!! They have families waiting for their return!!" Then he screams, "Stop throwing lives away!!!" Akainu, Marco, and the surrounding fighters look toward him as his plea cuts through the smoke and violence. The page turns Coby's fear into a direct challenge to the war itself.
Coby argues that the Marines have already done what they came to do: "We've done what we came to do!!! We're chasing pirates who don't want to fight!! We're fighting a pointless battle!!!" He says they are abandoning soldiers who could be saved and sacrificing even more lives, asking, "Then isn't it as if the soldiers who fall now... are just idiots!!?" Akainu advances on him and says, "You've wasted... a few seconds... The Marines have no need for soldiers who don't believe in justice!!!" Coby screams, "Oh God, I'm going to die! But I've said what I needed to say!!!" and thinks, "I have no regrets."

Akainu's killing blow is stopped at the last instant by Shanks, who blocks the magma fist with his sword while Coby stands behind him. The battlefield gasps, "Eh?" and "...!!" Shanks tells Coby, "You did well... young Marine." He says, "The few seconds of courage you were prepared to give your life for... whether for good or for bad... have greatly changed the fate of the world!!" Meanwhile Kizaru orders, "Hurry!" and Law's crew takes Luffy inside the submarine: "Take him inside!!!" The sudden arrival of Shanks turns Coby's small stand into a world-changing pause.

Kizaru tries to fire on the submarine, but Ben Beckman appears above him and says, "Hold it right there, Kizaru!!" Kizaru pauses with a drawn-out "Ooohh, whoa there," and recognizes him: "Ben Beckman!!" The Red Force arrives at Marineford, shocking everyone. Voices cry, "Ehh...!?" "That's...!!" and "That ship...!!" while the pirate flag is seen clearly. Marines panic, "Why is it here!!?" and someone announces, "One of the Four Emperors is here!!!" The arrival of the Red Hair Pirates brings a new power onto the battlefield.

The page ends the chapter on Shanks's entrance as one of the Four Emperors, directly answering Coby's plea and forcing every side at Marineford to reconsider continuing the bloodshed.
