Handcuff Number 2

In the Judicial Tower's Wolf room, the rubble settles around Zoro, Sogeking, Kaku, and Jabra. The matchup is framed as "Zoro and Sogeking vs. Kaku and Jyabura." Jabra mocks Kaku's new form: "How pitiful you are. You'll be a giraffeman for life...!!" He laughs, "Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Giraffe. Gyaaaahahahaha." Kaku insists, "What's wrong with a giraffe!? I told you, I like it!!" Zoro studies both enemies and realizes the absurdity is still deadly: "I can't believe there are two other DF users who can transform into animals... That pigeon guy was a 'leopard.' Is CP9 such a group...!?"

Sogeking pants in fear after seeing the wolfman and giraffeman together. "Haa... Haa...!!" he says. "I-I didn't know he's a DF user!! Zoan, too!! 'Wolfman' and 'Giraffe-man.' I surely got the worst ones...!!" He is relieved Zoro fell with him, thinking, "But thank God that Zoro fell with him, too. Now I can pretend to fight in a 2 on 2 and let him beat both of them." Then he notices odd open cuffs and asks, "Huh? I wonder what that is. It looks like an open safe..." Zoro asks, "What are those weird handcuffs!?" Kaku, still proud of the giraffe, warns, "How foolish...!! Never underestimate a giraffe's immeasurable destructive power." Zoro cuts him off: "Hey, giraffe... how much longer will you be arguing? I told you, I don't have time!!"

Kaku tries to show off his hybrid form, towering above them with an even stranger long-necked body. "I'll show you... my reborn... power!!" he declares. Zoro immediately says, "That looks even more absurd!!!" Kaku snaps, "What did you say just now...!?" Jabra howls with laughter, "Gyaah-hahahaha-hahieee-eeek!!!" The threat is real, but the visual is ridiculous: Kaku's giraffe transformation turns the battlefield into an absurd, dangerous spectacle.

Jabra keeps laughing at Kaku. "How much longer are you gonna laugh, Jyabura!?" Kaku demands, while Jabra says it is interesting how ridiculous Kaku looks. Zoro tries to stay focused: "I must not lose focus... My swords will lose their sharpness." But then his hand slips into one of the open cuffs. "Wah!!" he cries. "...!? What the heck are these handcuffs?" Sogeking understands too late: "That's...!! That's likely the 'Kairouseki' handcuffs they were talking about!!" Since both enemies are Devil Fruit users, he thinks they would be weakened if they wore them, then yells, "And why the hell didja need to put 'em on me, idiot!?" He admits, "'C-cause...!! The face of the giraffe was so funny... my hand just slipped!" Zoro snaps, "Hey, what the hell are you doing!!?"

Kaku attacks with "Rankyaku" and follows with the wide-sweeping "Amane-Dachi!!!" The note calls the technique "Wide Sunder." The giant rotating slash tears across the room, and everyone reacts in panic: "Something's coming!!!" "Whoa!!!! What!?" "Oh!" Sogeking and Zoro, now linked by the cuff, are caught in the chaos. Zoro shouts, "Get down, Usopp!! This isn't good!!" as the attack rips through the chamber and sends them tumbling.

Zoro lands and analyzes Kaku's technique. "I see," he says. "'Reach,' huh...? Between the centrifugal force and the power of that humongous body, his attacks have become deeper and sharper." But outside, the Judicial Tower itself is damaged by the attack. People cry, "...!! The Judicial Tower... got cut and slid!!?" and "Hey, hey, hey, hey! This is dangerous!!!" Inside, the ceiling has opened oddly; someone says, "Look at the ceiling..." and asks, "Huh? Why can't I see the sky up there?" Another screams, "Whoa!! No way!!!"

Kaku stands quietly in his giraffe form while Jabra keeps needling him. "Hey! Shame on you, showing emotions in a fight?" Jabra says. "Shut up! I like the giraffe! I love giraffes!" Kaku answers. Zoro, still assessing the danger, says, "Even that still won't be any threat to us..." Then the cuff clicks between him and Sogeking. Zoro looks down: "Hm?" His face hardens as he realizes what happened, and he yells, "What the heck are you doing!!?" Sogeking panics, "It's not my fault!!!" as the handcuffs lock them together.

Zoro and Sogeking are now chained together and unable to fight normally. Sogeking protests, "You rushed into me! That's how we got like this!!" Zoro answers, "'Cause you were just standing there, spacing out...!!" Sogeking shouts, "Whatever, just get these damn cuffs off." Zoro says, "I don't have the key--!!" Their allies stare and ask, "What are they doing?" Zoro sums up the problem: they are now in the same position as Robin. One of the CP9 members has the key, so they have to beat them to get it. Jabra sees an opening: "Our prey are connected now... Ok, Jyabura. Let me handle them both and you can just sit back and relax." Jabra refuses, "Bastard, are you trying to steal my prey!?" and the two enemies start arguing over who gets to fight.

Sogeking, still hanging awkwardly from Zoro, calls out, "Hey, guys!!! Tell us the number on your handcuffs!!" Chopper realizes, "Number?" and Nami asks, "Eh!? For real!?" Sogeking explains that each set of handcuffs and keys has numbers, so they can know which key goes with which cuffs. If the pair matches either key, they will take it right away. Chopper spots the number and shouts, "Number, number...!! There! It's number 2!!! Open it for me!!!" Kaku and Jabra both check their keys, and the tension turns immediate.

Kaku and Jabra each inspect their keys. Kaku says, "Not mine," and Jabra says, "Not mine, either. How disappointing." Sogeking panics: "What!? You got me excited for nothing!! Then that means one of the other three CP9 members has the key...!? Shit!" Kaku concludes, "Then there's no other way," and Jabra adds, "Guess that's the only way..." Both enemies understand the brutal rule at once: "Whoever kills 'em first is the winner!!!" Zoro and Sogeking scream, "Crap, we've gotta do something!!!"

Inside the Judicial Tower, Chopper runs through damaged stairs and corridors. He notices the staircase is disjointed and says, "Whoa!! Wha? This staircase is all disjointed!! No doubt, something happened because of the blast earlier! I wonder if this building's gonna be ok!" Then he hears a crash and sees the chaos below: "Zoro! Sogeking!!" Luffy, elsewhere, sees the same situation and says, "Wha-!? That looks fun!! H-hey!!" Zoro yells back, "Idiot!! Look at the damned handcuffs!!!" Sogeking shouts, "Look for the key for the 'number 2' handcuffs for us!!!" Chopper notices, "Ah!! Chopper!!!" and turns toward the mission.

Chopper relays the discovery: "No. 2, no. 2! Haa...!! I see, the keys and handcuffs have numbers!!" He understands that if the key one of them holds is number 2, they must bring it immediately. Nami, Sanji, and Franky become the hope for freeing Zoro and Sogeking. Someone cries, "We'll be stuck in these handcuffs and be killed without having done anything!" Chopper says, "I'm counting on you!!!" Nami decides, "I'll look for Sanji!" while Chopper says, "I'll do my best!! I'm their 'hope'!!" The crew now has to rescue Robin and rescue its own trapped fighters at the same time.

Luffy reaches the exterior near the Gates of Justice and stops at the sight of the ocean below. "For some reason, I just thought there'd be a bridge or something," he says, then asks, "What the heck is that?" Instead of a simple path, there are giant swirling currents around the island. Luffy sees the destination but not the way: "I can see the Gates of Justice though!! Can a regular boat get me there?" He wonders if Robin is already there and decides he has no time to hesitate. "I don't have time. I'll just have to try something!!!"

On Floor 0, the Solitary Cell Isle, Nami is trapped against Kumadori. She screams, "Kyaaah!" as his long hair winds around her. Kumadori theatrically cries, "Yoyoi!! Give up a~~lready!!!" and tightens his hold: "I go~~t a ho~~ld of you~~!!!" Nami struggles, "Ugh...!! Let go...!!" Kumadori swings down to finish her: "Die!!!" Nami snaps into focus and readies her Clima-Tact, saying, "Shaver...!! I'm no match for him!" She dodges through the hair's sweeping attack, still looking for a way out.

In the corridor in front of the kitchen, Franky trades blows with Fukurou. Fukurou blocks with "Tekkai" while Franky attacks with "Boxing!!!" and shouts "FRANKYYY." Fukurou uses "Soru," darting around him, but Franky's fist lands hard enough to make him cough. Fukurou says, "Cough, cough...!! What's up with your punches? You ain't a normal human, are you? No matter how much you harden your body to imitate steel..." Franky grins and answers, "My fists are real steel!!!"

In Kalifa's room, Sanji panics, "This isn't the time for me to be having tea~~!!!" He screams, "NOOO-OOOOO!!!" while Kalifa sits calmly and says, "No..." Sanji accuses her, "Magic...!! You've cast a magical spell upon me! I was nearly swallowed into... the high tide called 'Love Trap'...!! It was close!!" Kalifa coolly replies, "You've had three cups already." Sanji tries to refocus: "I won't forget that CP9 insulted Robin-chan on the sea train!! Give me the key!!!" Kalifa stands and says, "Too bad. I guess you're in a rush. Go ahead. Please take the key." Sanji asks, "Where is it?"

Kalifa turns the search for the key into a trap of temptation. She asks, "I wonder... did I hide the key? Where on my body..." then adds, "Why don't you look for it?" Sanji, overwhelmed, answers, "My pleasure!!!" Kalifa immediately kicks him hard across the room. Sanji screams, "HOBE-GAH!!!" and realizes his own foolishness: "Bad sign, isn't it? I'm such an idiotic bastard!!" The fight has barely begun, but Sanji's refusal to attack women and Kalifa's teasing control the battlefield.
