At the Sea Forest

A massive fish-man warrior with wild hair, a spotted lower body, and a trident charges forward underwater, roaring "BOOO OOOO OSS!!!" while bubbles trail behind him. Smaller fish-men scatter in panic. "URG HHH...!!!" he grunts. In the lower panels, a crowned fish-man with a long beard reacts in shock: "WHAT IS THIS UN-NATURALLY TWISTED AURAI!!!" Nearby, a swordsman in a straw hat bites down repeatedly with "CHOMP" sounds as voices shout "YEAH HHHHH HHH!!!" and "ALL RIGHT, MEEEEN!!! WE ARE NOT LETTING THAT SWORDSMAN ESCAPE!!!" Others exclaim "HOW IS A HUMAN ABLE TO MOVE FASTER THAN A FISHMAN UNDERWATERI!!" and "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT GUYI!!!" while one yells "TAKE YOUR ENERGY STEROIDS!!!".

The one-eyed swordsman is warned: "ONE-EYED SWORDSMAN! IT WILL NOT BE LONG BEFORE THE ENTIRE PALACE IS SUB-MERGED!! GRAB ONTO MY BODY!!" A fish-man in a crown declares "AS I THOUGHT, I MUST EVACUATE ALL MY MEN FROM THE PALACE..." while panting "*PANT*...". The swordsman grips tightly as water surges. "OVER HERE, ZORO!!" someone calls. The crowned figure continues, "I AM GOING TO MAKE A PATH! COME, MY SOLDIERS! THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO FIGHT!!! FLEE THE PALACE!!!" A massive fish-man tail swings with "Merman Combat!!" as soldiers react in alarm: "NEPTUNE'S GOING TO DO SOMETHING...!!!" and "WHAT IS HE...I!!" while a scream of "HAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" echoes.

The crowned king commands "GO FORTH, MY SOLDIERS!!!" as fish-man troops charge through the flooded palace corridors. Soldiers reply "YES, YOUR MAJESTY!" and "BOSS!! QUICKLY, TAKE THIS!!" while urging "WE'RE OUT OF THE CASTLE!! KEEP ON GOING STRAIGHT!! SWIM THROUGH THE CONNECTING WAY, AND HEAD FOR THE INLAND REGIONS OF THE ISLAND!!" A massive "ULTRAMARINE!!!" attack erupts, sending soldiers flying with cries of "GUAA AAAH HHHHH HHH!!!" and "HAAH HHHH...!!!" as debris and bodies scatter through the turbulent water. One soldier shouts "...WHY, THOSE...!!! THEY'RE RUNNING AWAY WITHOUT EVEN FIGHTING US!!" amid the chaos of the underwater assault.

In the underwater ruins, a massive fish-man reels backward as an unseen force slams into him. "AHHHHH!! HOW CRUEL THE BONDS OF AGE CAN BE!!" he cries, body twisting violently. Nearby soldiers shout in panic: "H - HEY, OLD GUY...!!!" and "GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!! PLEASE!!" The old fish-man gasps, "MY BODY...!! UNGHH... IT WILL NOT MOVE!!" as another yells "WHA AAAAA AAATI!!" King Neptune appears in the chaos, wide-eyed, with voices calling "YOUR MAJESTYI!!" and "KING NEPTUNE!!!" A huge dark shape crashes through the scene with a thunderous impact, sending soldiers flying as someone screams "HOE!!" and a long, drawn-out wail echoes: "HOEE EEEEEE EELL!!!"

A gigantic whale-like creature bursts forward with jaws wide open, roaring "WHAAAAAAAAAALE!!" as it snatches someone midair. A relieved voice cries out, "THANK GOODNESS!!! YOU HAVE SAVED US!!!" The rescued fish-man clutches his chest, groaning "OWW WWW WWW...!!" while another figure nearby pants, "I'M OUT OF... BREATH...!!" The massive creature thrashes, sending debris and water flying. Below, soldiers tumble through the wreckage as impact lines and bubbles fill the panel, the whale's tail smashing through structures with a heavy crash.

King Neptune, eyes bloodshot and furious, barks orders while gripping his trident: "Y... YES, SIR!!!" and "WHAT ARE YOU HANGING ABOUT FORI!! OBEY YOUR KING'S ORDERS!!!" A soldier stammers an apology amid the turmoil. The massive whale-like fish-man is hurled through the air, smashing into a floating structure that shatters on impact. Below, panicked voices rise: "WHO KNOWS...I LOOKS LIKE SOME DEAD MAN'S SKELETON..." "WHAT'S THIS...I" "...ALLOW YOU TO DIE HERE...!!!" "I WILL NOT..." and "GLURM PHGLL...!!" Neptune's soldiers scramble as one figure shouts "FIND THE PRINCES!!! BRING THEM HERE!!!" and another warns "YOU MUST NOT TURN BACK!!!" A close-up shows a glaring eye with the muttered line "DAMN THAT HORDY... I THOUGHT HE WAS OUT FOR THE COUNTI!"

Luffy stares in wide-eyed wonder at the vast underwater landscape, exclaiming "WHOA!! THIS PLACE LOOKS PRETTY COOL!!!" A sign reads "THE OCEAN FOREST." Shirahoshi clasps her hands, tears in her eyes: "HYAH HAH!! I HAVE ALWAYS... ALWAYS WANTED TO COME HERE...!" and "UWAAAAHH!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, LUFFY-SAMA...!" Franky suggests, "MAYBE WE'LL BE ABLE TO REST AND HEAL UP HERE...I" In the wide vista below, Luffy's group spots the giant whale-like fish-man and cries "OUIWWN!! IS THAT... LUFFYI!I HMMMMI!" and "IS THIS WHERE YOU'VE BEEN THIS WHOLE TIME~I!" Franky calls out "HEYYY, FRANKY YYYY!!" while another voice notes "AHH!! IT'S THE SUNNY!!" and comments on the "PINUP-GIRL" brought along.

Shirahoshi stands beside a large shark-like fish-man wearing a patterned outfit. A voice teases her, "CRYBABY, HUHI! I SEE! YOU'D BETTER GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, LADY!" Shirahoshi replies nervously, "Y-YES... MY APOLOGIES... MY NAME IS SHIRAHOSHI." Luffy suddenly recognizes her and shouts, "LUFFY-KUN!!!" He exclaims, "I BARELY RECOGNISED YOU!! IT HAS BEEN QUITE SOME TIME!!" Nearby, a fish-man with a mohawk explains that Robin went into the big coral forest. Jinbe appears and greets her politely, "AH, PRINCESS SHIRAHOSHI... I DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE YOU HERE. IT IS A PLEASU..." Luffy reacts with shock and joy, "I THOUGHT I WASN'T GONNA BE ABLE TO SEE YOU!!!" "AHHHH!! IT'S REALLY YOU!!! THEY TOLD ME YOU WEREN'T HERE!" "JIMBEII!!" He asks, "WHAT'S THISI THEN, YOU DIDN'T COME HERE BECAUSE YOU GOT MY MESSAGEI"

A massive close-up shows a fish-man with bulging eyes and sharp teeth screaming in shock, "PRINCESS SHIRAHOSHI!!!!!I!!!" accompanied by large sound effects. Hachi reacts with alarm, "HACHI!!!!!!I!!" and asks what happened to the octopus. Franky appears, saying he will lower Hachi down and asking someone to grab him. Another voice questions why they are there. In a lower panel, a long-haired fish-man with a scar kneels dramatically before Shirahoshi, hearts floating around him as he cries, "AHHH, MERMAID PRINCESS!! WHY, IN YOUR GLORIOUS PRESENCE..." while muttering, "NYUUUUU... JIMBEI-SAN!"

Sanji lies on the ground with hearts around him, dramatically declaring Shirahoshi's beauty and lamenting that no canvas or paints can capture her radiance. Shirahoshi looks concerned as fish swim nearby. In another panel, a fish-man in a hat and coat is identified as Den, Franky's old teacher and Tom's brother, who is re-coating the Sunny. Shirahoshi asks why he is there. Luffy reacts with surprise, "HMMI!" "AH!" A large fish-man warns the princess that it is too dangerous for her to leave the Shell Tower. Another notes that a teacher coating Franky's brother sounds familiar.

Shirahoshi stands tall as debris and impact effects fly around her; she laughs, "HAH!" Luffy looks shocked while a fish-man yells, "YOU SEEI! WHY IN THE WORLD DID YOU BRING THE PRINCESS HERE, LUFFY-KUNI!" A voice notes that the tentacle one has returned and another is present. In the final panel Shirahoshi smiles brightly and answers, "YES!" while a small figure shouts, "SHE'LL BE FINE! SHE'S GOT ME - RIGHTI!" and Luffy stares in surprise. A voice calls out, "OUTRA-GEOUS...!!"

At the Sea Forest, a massive sunken ship rests among coral and ruins. Someone remarks, "So this is the grave she was talking about, huhI" The narration explains the princess's tragic fate: "The princess was unfortunate enough to fall foul of Vander Decken with the worst possible timing... Unable even to attend her mother's funeral, she has been sealed away in Shell Tower for these ten long years..." Shirahoshi, the massive mermaid princess with long flowing hair and a pearl necklace, sits weeping before Queen Otohime's grave. Small fish swim around her as voices note, "She's been sitting there for ages... That is the resting place of her mother, the Queen Otohime..." In a close-up, tears stream down her face as she clasps her hands, thinking, "...She wishes to say to her mother now..." and "She must have so many things..."

Elsewhere, Luffy shouts excitedly, "NAMI!! HAS THE BANQUET STARTED YETI!!" Nami replies, "YEP, HE'S CURED." Usopp and others react in panic: "WHATI! HE'S WITH PRINCESS SHIRAHOSHI...!!!" "LUFFY YYY!!!" and "NNNN NAMI-SAN!" A massive whale-like creature swims through the underwater ruins as characters exclaim, "HORDY DID SUCH A THINGI!!" "IS THIS TRUEI!!" At the scene, Shirahoshi cries out, "HACCHIN!...WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUI!" while Jinbe and others react in shock. Nami stands nearby as someone says, "FATHER HAS BEEN CAPTUREDI! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT...!" Jinbe adds, "I DON'T KNOW. I WAS GOING TO GO BACK FOR THEM ONCE I FOUND YOU..." and "WHAT'S HAPPENED TO ZORO AND THE OTHERS, THENI!" Another voice cries, "TO THINK THAT RYŪGŪ PALACE HAS FALLEN INTO SUCH PERIL...!!!"

Luffy looks serious and says, "BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND, WHEN I MET LUFFY-KUN TWO YEARS AGO, EVEN MORE SO THAN NOW......IT WAS SIMPLY NOT THE TIME TO SPEAK OF SUCH THINGS!" He continues, "THIS MAY BE SUDDEN..." Shirahoshi responds with surprise. Jinbe appears in close-up, declaring, "BUT AT THE SAME TIME, I MUST APOLOGISE... THIS WAS YOUR DOING, WAS IT NOTI I MUST EXTEND YOU MY THANKS...!!!" and "...THAT ARLONG AND HIS CREW WRECKED IN EAST BLUE...!!!" He adds, "I HARBOUR A PROFOUND GRATITUDE TOWARDS THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING A STOP TO THE TERROR..." A dramatic panel shows a burning sun-like symbol as Jinbe reveals, "FOR ELEVEN YEARS AGO, THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNLEASHING ARLONG UPON THE WATERS OF EAST BLUE......WAS NONE OTHER THAN MYSELF!!!" Shirahoshi reacts with shock, tears in her eyes, as Luffy stares in stunned silence with "!!I" and "JIMBEI-SAN..."
