THE MAN NAMED DALTON

In a snowy forest, a large group of giant, round rabbits (Lapahns) are jumping high into the air and slamming down onto the snow-covered ground. The heavy impacts create loud "BOING!! BOING!!" sound effects, kicking up clouds of snow. Sanji and Luffy are watching them from a distance, both bundled up in winter coats. Sanji, looking concerned, says, "But now they're up to something else..." Luffy, looking confused, asks, "The heck are they doing now?" Sanji observes, "They stopped chasing after us," and then his eyes widen in sudden realization and panic as he stammers, "It can't be... They couldn't possibly be trying to...!?" The Lapahns continue their synchronized, heavy bouncing, causing the ground to rumble.

Back in the snowy village of Bighorn, chaos has erupted. The villagers are running through the streets in a panic, arming themselves with whatever they can find, including pitchforks, swords, and rifles. A man riding a horse yells out to the crowd, "All those who can fight, grab your weapons and head for Big Horn!" Another villager shouts, "Wapol has returned! Grab your arms and prepare to fight!" The villagers rally together, shouting encouragements like, "Follow after Dalton!", "To Big Horn!", and "It's time to protect our country!" The scene is filled with a sense of urgency as the armed citizens trudge through the heavy snow to defend their home.

Usopp, Vivi, and a sleeping Zoro are riding in a wooden sled pulled by a large, furry, horned creature through the snowy landscape. Usopp is driving and asks, "You sure this is the right way to Gyasta?" Vivi, looking closely at a map, replies, "I think so but I'm not entirely sure..." Usopp gets annoyed and yells, "You're not sure? That's not gonna cut it, princess." Vivi argues back, "What does me being a princess have to do with anything!? There's nothin' but snow out here! I wouldn't be able to tell apart north from south even with that map!" Usopp retorts, "Come on, you're a princess. Figure something out. Why don't you take a look at this map and figure something out?" He continues to worry, saying, "Just imagine what'll happen when the guys reach the mountaintop, only to realize the doctor's missing! Who knows what they'll do then!" Vivi then spots a wooden signpost partially buried in the snow. The sign points to the left and reads "GYASTA". She says, "Well... There should be a sign that points to Gyasta along our way so just keep an eye out for that." Usopp, relieved, says, "Got it!"

In the village, Wapol, a large man with a metallic jaw, is demonstrating his bizarre powers. He takes a massive bite out of the wooden roof of a house, with loud "CRUNCH CRUNCH" sound effects. He swallows the debris with a "GULP!" and sighs happily, "Ahhh... Nothing like a nice roasted house cooked to well-done on a cold snowy day!" He then turns to the terrified villagers and declares loudly, "Listen well, my citizens! Everything that exists in this country is nothing but food for me! DEEEE-EEEEEE-EEEEEL-ICIOUS!" Wapol is standing on top of his mount, a giant, round, furry hippo-like creature. He commands his subordinate, "Kuromarimo! Tell the people why I'm so great!" Kuromarimo, a man with a large afro, replies dutifully, "The fact that you are king proves your greatness, Your Majesty."

Kuromarimo continues his report to Wapol, saying, "Now then... According to the reports, it seems the Straw-Hat Pirates are headed for Drum Castle." Wapol looks surprised and asks, "What!? And why is that!?" Kuromarimo explains, "It seems they're looking for that witch, Dr. Kureha. Apparently, she's made the castle her new home during Your Majesty's absence." Upon hearing this, Wapol's face contorts into an expression of extreme shock and fury. His eyes bulge, and his metallic jaw drops open as he screams at the top of his lungs, "WHAT!? THAT HAG IS LIVING IN MY CASTLE!?"

Enraged, Wapol shouts orders to his men, "How long does that traitorous hag intend to make a fool out of me! I'll devour that hag along with those pirates! My subjects! Prepare to leave for the castle at once!" His men cheer in response. Suddenly, a large figure leaps high into the air, wielding a massive, spade-like weapon. The figure brings the weapon down hard on Wapol's giant furry mount. The creature cries out "AGH!" as it is struck, collapsing into the snow. The attacker, Dalton, lands firmly on the ground and declares, "That's as far as you'll go!"

Wapol's men are thrown into confusion and panic by the sudden attack. One of the soldiers is shown bleeding from a slash across his chest, screaming, "Gyaaaaa! I've been cut! I'm going to die!" Another man looks on in shock and asks, "Who's that!?" The dust settles to reveal Dalton standing tall, his large spade weapon resting on the ground. He wears a dark tunic with armor on his arms and shoulders. He calmly states, "That's precisely why I came and I'd be glad if you did." Recognizing him, Wapol's men scream his name in disbelief, "DALTON!?"

Kuromarimo angrily points at Dalton, shouting, "You were alive...!? How dare you harm His Majesty...!" Dalton replies stoically, "My survival is hardly surprising, considering that Drum Kingdom was formerly renowned for its doctors and medical knowledge." Suddenly, a group of doctors wearing masks, sunglasses, and winter coats appear. They are the Isshi-20. They chant in unison, "Commence operation." One of them announces, "External wounds unit! Yes... Speaking of which, come out MD-20!" They quickly pull out various medical tools, including a hammer, a tin plate, a needle, and a scalpel, preparing to treat Wapol's injuries right there in the snow.

The doctors finish their rapid surgery. Wapol is lying on his back, covered in stitches and metal plates. One of the doctors wipes his brow and says, "Whew! I thought I was a goner for a second there. Ahh! Your head hasn't been fully sutured yet, Your Majesty!" Wapol sits up abruptly with a "SWOOSH". Dalton points his weapon at Wapol and demands, "Leave this island at once... This land has no more need for us..." One of Wapol's loyal men angrily retorts, "Wapol? 'Your Majesty' for you, my subject, Dalton." A villager steps forward to defend Dalton, yelling, "D-Dalton isn't your subject anymore! Dalton was the only man in the former regime that actually fought for our country! He risked his life for us and this land!"

Wapol laughs mockingly at Dalton, "Hmph... It's a shame you didn't die, while you were still the captain of the royal guards! Mahahaha! You've done well surviving for so long on a country without any doctors." Dalton responds, "Although Drum Kingdom, is renowned for its medical knowledge... Very few outsiders would know, that save for 20 doctors employed in the castle's research facility, all the other doctors were exiled from this country..." Wapol smiles callously and says, "Oh well, that's just this kingdom's law." Dalton's face twists in fury as he screams, "HOW DARE YOU CALL SUCH AN ABSURDITY A LAW!"

Dalton continues his angry speech, "With the only doctors in this country locked up in your castle, the people have no choice but to beg to you whenever they become sick. No law should turn a country's citizens into its hostages. Such things are called crimes!" Wapol, unimpressed, orders his men, "Said everything you wanted to? Then it's time for you to die! Kill this former captain of the royal guards, men!" Dalton begins to transform, his face growing wider, his nose flattening, and horns sprouting from his head. He says, "Because I owe a great debt to your father, the former king, I had hoped that you would one day realize the err of your ways but I now see how futile that is!"

Wapol's men raise their rifles and open fire on Dalton, yelling "Shoot!" Dalton moves with incredible speed, leaving afterimages as he dodges the barrage of bullets. A villager watches in awe and explains, "He's dodging all the bullets! It's the power of the Bison Model - Ushi Ushi Fruit!" Dalton, now with the lower body of a bison, charges forward, his hooves slamming into the snow. He warns the soldiers, "I won't go easy on you just because you're my former subordinates..." He prepares a powerful attack, shouting "FIDDLE BANFF!".

Dalton slams his large spade weapon into the ground with tremendous force. The impact creates a massive shockwave that shatters the ground and sends Wapol's soldiers flying high into the air, screaming. The villagers watch the devastating attack in pure amazement. One of them exclaims, "W-What strength! So strong! This is the power of wild beasts, that dwell in Zoan-type Devil Fruits...!"

Dalton, now fully in his hybrid bison form with a large snout and horns, glares at his enemies and declares, "You people have no place here... A kingdom that would choose to abandon its people at the first sign of trouble is better off destroyed...!" Kuromarimo and Chess step forward to confront him. Chess, wearing a jester-like hat, scoffs, "Hmph... Look at him spout such arrogant words...! The two of us and you used to form the 'three heads of staff.' You should know that you stand no chance against both of us." Chess draws his bow and aims an arrow, adding, "Not only that, I've known you for far too long... That is your misfortune. I know all about your weaknesses... Look." Dalton looks surprised and confused, saying "Wha...!?"

The villagers, armed with swords and guns, charge forward bravely, yelling, "Dalton! We've come to help you fight!" Dalton turns his head toward them, distracted. In that moment of vulnerability, three arrows strike Dalton squarely in his chest and shoulder. He gasps in pain, "!!!?", and falls to one knee, blood spurting from the wounds. The villagers stop in their tracks, horrified, and scream his name, "DALTON!"

Wapol laughs maniacally at Dalton's fall, "Mahahaha! A most fitting death! That soft heart of yours is your weakness, Dalton..." Dalton collapses face-first into the snow with a heavy thud. The villagers are devastated and cry out, "DALTON!" Suddenly, the ground begins to shake violently. Kuromarimo and Chess look around in confusion. Chess asks, "What's that shaking? An earthquake?"

Back on the mountain, Sanji and Luffy are standing in the deep snow. Sanji says, "We've come to a stop because the snow's too thick... And it looks like we headed up the mountain...!" He then feels the ground shaking and asks, "What's this trembling...?" Luffy looks confused and says, "Huh?" A massive wall of snow is seen tearing down the mountainside, crushing trees in its path. Luffy, sweating, asks, "Please tell me I'm dreaming, Sanji?" Sanji, looking terrified, replies, "Those damn rabbits really did it...!" Luffy asks, "Run? Run where?" Sanji screams, "Anywhere's fine! Just as long as it's far away from here! Luffy! Start running!" The giant avalanche is heading straight for them. A narration box reads, "BECAUSE THERE'S AN AVALANCHE HEADED RIGHT FOR US!"
