Nami strides forward on a dirt path lined with palm trees, gripping a long staff over her shoulder. Large onomatopoeia "どっ" and "くっ" emphasize her steps. She asks a distant group, "WHAT DID YOU COME TO THIS ISLAND FORI" In the next panel she stands with arms crossed, declaring, "WELL YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A NUISANCE." Luffy appears beside her, tipping his straw hat and shouting, "AREN'T WE CREWMATESI WE'VE COME FOR YOU, OF COURSE!" and "WHAT'RE YOU TALKING ABOUTI" Sanji and Zoro stand in the background watching. Close-up of Nami's face as she replies, "IT WAS NOTHING BUT A STUPID LITTLE COOPERATION." and "AND 'CREW-MATESI' DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH." A wide shot shows Nami facing the group as someone says, "IF IT MEANS SHE CAN GET HER HANDS ON THE TREASURE HIDDEN IN HER VILLAGE, SHE'LL GLADLY JOIN THE ARLONG PIRATES AND EVEN KILL!" Sanji shouts from behind, "I TOLD YOU SO! SHE'S A WITCH!"

A dramatic full-page panel shows a man in an open shirt pointing forward with fury, shouting, "YOU'VE ALL BEEN DECEIVED RIGHT FROM THE START! AND I SWEAR I SAW HER STABBING USOPP! SHE'S A COLD-BLOODED WITCH THROUGH AND THROUGH!" Nami turns with a calm smile and asks, "WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY AND AVENGE HIMI...SO WHATI" The man sweats, reacting "WHAT...!I" In the final panel Nami continues addressing the group, "YOU'RE NO MATCH AT ALL FOR THE REAL MONSTER. NO MATTER HOW MONSTROUSLY STRONG YOU MAY ALL BE." Someone replies, "LET ME TELL YOU ONE THING. AFTER THE IDIOTIC STUNT THAT ZORO PULLED, ARLONG WANTS RORONOA ZORO AND ALL HIS COMPANIONS DEAD."

Nami glares and snaps, "AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN." Zoro demands, "WHERE'S USOPPI" then growls, "I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT THAT." Nami whirls and delivers a furious kick, shouting, "AND I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!" The impact sends Zoro sprawling as she yells, "THAT'S IT, I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!" Zoro rises, furious, retorting, "THE HELL DID YOU SAYI DON'T BUTT IN WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT ANYTHING!" He draws his swords and challenges her, "DOES A SWORDSMAN HARM LADIES AS WELL, RORONOA ZOROI"

Sanji smirks at Zoro and taunts, "HEH... AREN'T YOU QUITE IRRITABLE AFTER YOUR SHAMEFUL LOSS." Zoro snaps back, "WHAT!I" In the background, a hooded figure and others shout, "THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!" and "THIS ISN'T THE TIME TO BE BICKERING!" Sanji threatens Zoro, "I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY, CRIPPLE. OR YOUR HEAD'LL GO FLYING. WATCH YOUR MOUTH, PUNK." Nami stands firm with her staff, declaring, "DO YOU STILL NOT GET IT!I I ONLY STUCK AROUND WITH YOU FOR THE MONEY! AND NOW THAT YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A CENT, I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT YOU! THAT'S RIGHT! IF YOU'RE GOING TO FIGHT, WHY DON'T YOU DO IT SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THIS ISLANDI I'D RATHER NOT HAVE OUTSIDERS STICK THEIR NOSES IN THIS ISLAND'S AFFAIRS ANYMORE!"

Nami points her staff and orders, "NOW GET OFF OF THIS ISLAND! YOU'RE AN EYESORE! SO GO FIND ANOTHER NAVIGATOR AND GO SEARCH FOR YOUR LITTLE ONE PIECE OR WHATEVER! IF IT'S ABOUT THE SHIP, I'LL GIVE IT BACK." Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp stand stunned. Nami turns away with a cold expression and says, "FAREWELL." Suddenly a massive impact strikes Luffy from behind; he is sent flying as the crew yells, "BROTHER LUFFY!I" and "AAAH..." Luffy lies dazed on the ground with swirling eyes.

Luffy stretches his arms wide, yawns, and declares, "I'M GONNA SLEEP." He flops down and snores loudly despite the chaos. The crew panics around him: "AND I DON'T REALLY CARE LEAVING THIS ISLAND YET..." "I DON'T FEEL LIKE LEAVING THIS ISLAND YET..." "IN THIS EMERGENCY!I AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!I" "SLEEP!I" Nami's face twists in rage as she screams, "YOU CAN DIE FOR ALL I CARE! FINE, DO WHATEVER THE HELL YOU WANT!" Zoro and Sanji react with shock while background figures stare in disbelief. Luffy simply mumbles, "SO I'M SLEEPING."

In Cocoyashi Village, panicked residents flee down a palm-lined path as one shouts, "YOU'RE ALL OUT OF YOUR MINDS! IT'S AS THAT INSANE WITCH SAID! USOPP'S BROTHER HAS BEEN KILLED! AND ARLONG'S OUT TO GET US!" Nearby figures lie on the ground amid the chaos. Johnny, the headband-wearing man with a scar, glares and declares, "WE HAVE NO DESIRE TO BE HUNTED DOWN AND KILLED BY ARLONG! BUT I'M AFRAID THIS IS WHERE WE MUST PART. IT'S ONLY BEEN A SHORT WHILE, I, FOR ONE, BELIEVE IN WHAT JOHNNY SAID HE SAW! JUST WHAT REASON DO YOU HAVE FOR STAYING ON THIS ISLAND ANY LONGER!I" Usopp turns away, waving, "TAKE CARE, MY BROTHERS! YOU TOO! MAY WE MEET AGAIN SOMEDAY!" Johnny replies curtly, "FINE."

A large man with a net hat and dripping sweat stands in the village street, fists clenched in rage amid massive "どき" and "くすっ" sound effects as background figures react. Johnny sweats heavily in close-up, eyes wide with realization, thinking "HOW COULD YOU... IF SHE WAS REALLY A COLD-BLOODED WITCH, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE COVERED FOR ME...!" while sweat drops fall. The name "NAMI..." echoes as a figure lies sprawled on the ground. In a dramatic low-angle shot, Johnny grips his sword hilt tightly, face twisted in shock and determination.

Johnny sweats in extreme close-up, thinking "IF NAMI HADN'T DONE THAT, I WOULD'VE BEEN... KILLED FOR SURE BY ARLONG..." and "FOR THE SAKE OF MY BUSINESS, THIS WAS THE ONLY WAY." He resolves, "SO THE FIRST THING I SHOULD DO IS MEET UP WITH HIM!" while recalling "THAT OCTOPUS DUDE SAID HE GAVE ZORO A RIDE TO COCO YASHI VILLAGE." In the street, an explosion erupts with "ダーン!" as Johnny yells "DAMN IT! DON'T TELL ME HE'S CHARGING STRAIGHT FOR ARLONG PARK!I" A background figure runs. Johnny continues, "ARLONG SAID SOMETHING ABOUT ZORO LOOKING FOR HIM AS WELL," then pauses, "WAIT A SECOND."

Luffy sprints at full speed, arm outstretched, shouting "PLEASE DON'T BE AT ARLONG PARK, ZORO! FASTER, USOPP, FASTER!" with motion lines and impact effects. In a jungle clearing, two figures lie motionless on the path; one voice asks "WHATI" while another says "HEY." Close-ups show Sanji with a cigarette, eyes wide, exclaiming "SMALL TIME!I" as Zoro, sword drawn, states "SHE GOT SO PISSED OFF THAT SHE REALLY DID KILL HIM. WHO KNOWSI MAYBE AFTER I CALLED HER 'SMALL-TIME,'" and Sanji replies, "YOU THINK NAMI REALLY KILLED LONG-NOSEI"

Usopp stares in shock, shouting, "I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT'VE GONE TO ARL..." before bursting into relieved laughter, "OH THANK GOD!" with a loud "だっはっはっは". In the distance, Zoro stands on a path lined with palm trees as someone yells, "AHH! ISN'T THAT ZORO RIGHT THERE!I" amid rapid footsteps "ダダダダダダダ". Sanji lunges forward with a powerful kick, yelling "BUGOH!" while clashing with a fishman pirate who growls, "IS THAT ALL YOU CAN THINK AB...". Sanji retorts fiercely, "NAMI'S BREASTS AREN'T SMALL TIME!". The fishman lies defeated as Usopp wonders, "BUT MAYBE NOT ANYMORE...". Zoro opens his eyes slightly, stating "HE'S ALIVE." Sanji glances over with "AH..." while Usopp grins, "EH."

Nami slams the door of her house shut with a loud "SLAM" and walks through the orange groves of Cocoyasi Village. She pauses among the trees, hearing a noise "ガシャン!! ドカン!!" and "ガラガラーン!!", then picks an orange from the branches with a curious "HMI". Inside the damaged house, Sanji surveys the mess and says, "NICE MESS YOU'VE MADE FOR ME, NAMI." Nami, holding a basket of oranges, asks, "WHAT'S WRONGI" as Sanji lets out a long "SIGH."

Sanji questions Nami while looking at the treasure map on the wall, "AND WHY WOULD YOU BE STARING SO INTENTLY AT THAT TREASURE MAP IF THERE WAS NOTHING WRONGI" Nami replies from across the room, "THEN THERE'S NO NEED FOR YOU TO BE BREAKING ALL THE GLASS AND FURNITURE." She continues, "IF YOU'VE ONLY COME TO TAKE A LITTLE REST, THAT'S ALL." Sanji turns away, answering, "NOTHING! I ONLY CAME TO TAKE A LITTLE REST, THAT'S ALL." Nami presses further, "DIDN'T YOU PROMISE TO TELL ME EVERYTHINGI" Sanji admits, "I JUST LOST MY COOL A BIT, THAT'S ALL!" Nami asks about the crew, "YOU'VE MET THEMI" Sanji responds, "JUST THE CAPTAIN." Nami wonders, "WHO ARE THEYI" as Sanji concludes, "IT WAS THEM, RIGHT...I"

Sanji lies injured on the floor, murmuring, "SO THEY'VE COME TO BRING YOU BACK..." Nami answers softly, "I SEE..." Outside the house under the palm trees, Sanji sleeps soundly with "ZZZ" sounds. Nami watches him and reflects, "FRIENDS, HUH... I CAN SEE WHY SHE'D GET SO UPSET." In a close-up, Nami touches her face with a pained yet gentle expression, saying, "THAT HURTS YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING." She finishes with quiet resolve, "THAT'S THE ONE WORD..."

Usopp shouts in shock at the sight before him. "USOPP! DID NAMI DO THIS TO YOU!I" Someone asks, "YOU MEAN JUST YOU." Another voice replies, "UH NO. THAT WAS ACTUALLY BECAUSE OF HIM AND I." The group stands among the palm trees of the village as emotions run high. Sanji remarks, "SHE SAVED MY LIFE." The large man with the checkered hat growls, his face twisted in anger. "IN ANY CASE, THE PROBLEM IS NAMI." Luffy appears with a grin, "AH, LUFFY! YOU'RE HERE TOOI" Sanji points and warns, "YOU...! I'LL KILL YOU ONE OF THESE DAYS!" The large man continues, "I'VE DECIDED TO COME ALONG TOO. NICE TO MEET YOU." Luffy answers simply, "YUP." In a close-up the man declares, "THERE MUST BE SOME REASON WHY SHE ENDED UP JOINING THE ARLONG PIRATES!" Luffy replies, "IF YOU ASK ME," as the tension builds over Nami's past.

Usopp stares in disbelief and calls out, "NOJIKO." Nojiko stands with her back to the group, hands on her hips, and states flatly, "NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO CHANGE ARLONG'S RULE. IT'S USELESS." The others react with surprise. Sanji asks, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN USELESSI" while hearts appear around his head. Someone exclaims, "N-NAMI'S SISTER!I WELL, IT'S NO WONDER WHY SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL THEN!" Another wonders, "WHO'S SHEI" Nojiko turns to face them directly, her expression serious. "I'LL TELL YOU ALL ABOUT HOW THINGS GOT THIS WAY," she says. "SO IN RETURN, I WANT YOU TO JUST LEAVE QUIETLY. PLEASE DON'T INVOLVE YOURSELVES WITH THIS VILLAGE ANY FURTHER." Her words hang heavy over the crew as they process the warning.

Villagers gather at the shore watching a large Marine ship dock. "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 77TH BRANCH SHIP THAT CAME BY EARLIER...I COULD THEY HAVE COME TO INVESTIGATE," one wonders. "IT'S THE 16TH BRANCH!" another exclaims as the vessel marked "MARINE 16" looms with its cannons. A dramatic panel shows Captain Nezumi of the Marines 16th Branch arriving with a smug grin, declaring, "CHICHICHI... I'M CPT. NEZUMI OF THE MARINES 16TH BRANCH. BRING ME THE MAN NAMED GENZO WHO LIVES HERE IN COCOYASHI VILLAGE!" Inside a house, a woman lies injured on the floor as a voice commands, "GUIDE ME TO THE HOUSE, BELONGING TO THE WOMAN NAMED NAMI." Outside, Genzo faces the captain. "YOU'RE GENZOI" Nezumi asks. Genzo replies, "THAT'D BE ME. WHAT DO YOU WANT, CAPTAINI"
