A massive smiling flower-like creature with striped petals floats through the sky, emitting musical notes 'SHIIIP~ SHIIIP~'. A caption notes 'THE VONKOU SHIP WITH SANJI ONBOARD FLOWS THE WAVES...'. In the next panel, several armored soldiers march while a man in a top hat and another figure discuss a comic. One says 'IT'S GOT GIANT, FANTASTICAL ROBOTS IN IT.' Another replies 'NYORORO! THERE'S THIS COMIC STRIP THAT RUNS IN THE WE TIMES'. A flashback panel shows the title 'SORA, WARRIOR OF THE SEA' with the line 'I'VE BEEN READING IT FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER'. The bottom panel features a wide-eyed character laughing 'NYORORO!' while narration explains 'IT'S A TALE OF SEAFARING HEROES! FIGHT THE EVIL ARMIES OF THE GERMA 66! A massive ornate ship labeled 'BIG MOM' sails on the waves as characters discuss the comic. One voice says 'YOU KNOW, MAKE 'EM THINK THAT THE MARINES ARE ALWAYS FIGHTING FOR THE JUST CAUSE AND THAT THEY'RE THE STRONGEST THERE IS... NYORORO!' Another adds 'AS FAR AS I'VE HEARD, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE BASED ON THE EXPLOITS OF MARINE HEROES. BASICALLY AN ATTEMPT AT BRAINWASHING LITTLE KIDS TO IDOLIZE THE MARINES...' A flashback shows a cloaked figure declaring 'THE EVIL ARMY THAT SPARES NO EFFORT IN CHASING AND TRYING TO DEFEAT SORA.' Sanji, in a black cape, shouts 'I WAS ALWAYS DRAWN TO THE GERMA MYSELF!' while a blond man watches. In the present, Sanji continues 'TRUTH BE TOLD, I'M PRETTY THRILLED I GOT THE CHANCE TO MEET A REAL ONE IN THE FLESH.' A voice warns 'NYORORO... COME ON, DON'T BE LIKE THAT!' Sanji snaps back 'DON'T LUMP ME IN WITH THOSE BASTARDS! I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM! I'M ROOTIN' FOR YOUR TEAM!' The blond man asks 'WHY DON'T YOU GO SEEK OUT THE REAL ARMY THENI I'M SURE YOU'LL HAVE A BLAST.'

A heavy door creaks open as someone knocks loudly. "OI! OPEN UP!" A sleepy figure with light hair presses against the striped door, mumbling "MMPF..." with a "Zzz..." sound effect. Inside the private room, Sanji stands with his shirt open, pointing angrily at the intruder. "QUIT FOLLOWING ME! THIS IS MY PRIVATE ROOM!" The caped man in the doorway spreads his arms dramatically. "AND SO YOU SEE..." From the side, a large man with wild hair and a massive gun growls, "STILL BLATHERIN' ON ABOUT THAT LIKE ANYONE GIVES A DAMN... WHY DOES HE GET THE PRINCE TREATMENTI! I'M ONE OF THE WORLD'S FOREMOST SCIENTISTS, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!" The caped man grabs him by the collar. "CAESAR, OUR ORDERS WERE TO TAKE YOU PRISONER!" The gunman shouts back, "IT'S MY ROOM TOO! LET ME OUTTA HERE, DAMMIT!"

The caped man gestures wildly. "HE'S WORTH HIS WEIGHT IN GOLD! NYORORO! BUT THIS GUYI HE'S THE MAN... THAT WILL BRING THE VINSMOKE AND CHARLOTTE FAMILIES TOGETHER! THE MAN OF THE HOUR!" Sanji snaps, "DON'T MAKE ME REPEAT MYSELF! I AIN'T MARRYING ANYONE! NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" The large gunman, Gotti, roars and aims his massive weapon. "DON'T TELL ME THIS PRETTY BOY JUST MOUTHED OFF TO VITO!" A voice pleads, "IT'S ALL GOOD! HE'S JUST DOIN' A BIT OF FRIENDLY RIBBING! WE'RE JUST HAVIN' A LAUGH!" Gotti yells, "NO ONE'S LAUGHING HERE. GET THE HELL OUT. THE BOTH OF YOU." Another figure shouts, "GOTTI! HOLD YOUR HORSES, MAN! COOL IT!" The sign on the gun reads "FIRETANK PIRATES KILLER GOTTI".

Gotti continues raging, "TRY SAYIN' THAT TO MY FACE, RUNT! I DARE YA! I WON'T LET SOMEONE THAT INSULTS MY MATES GET OFF THAT EASY." Sanji turns away. "I'M NOT TRYING TO BE BEST BUDS WITH YOU ANYWAY. FINE BY ME..." A note reads "TL NOTE: KANJI READ 'BOSS/LEADER'". A large woman with a bow in her hair bursts in laughing. "THEY'LL ICE FATHER* IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE! IF YOU SO MUCH AS PUT A SCRATCH ON HIM, EEEK! GOOOOT TIIIIII! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO HE ISI! HE'S A SON OF THE VINSMOKE FAMILY!" Sanji lights a cigarette, thinking, "SOMETHING REMINDS ME OF THEM... BUT..." The caped man bows. "NYORORO! I GUESS WE'LL HAVE TO PICK UP THIS CONVERSATION ABOUT THE GERMA SOME OTHER TIME. YOU WISH." The woman offers, "OW, OW, OW! SORRY, MISS! I'M SO SORRY! WANT ME TO ICE YOU FIRSTI!"

A few days later aboard the Thousand Sunny, the crew suffers in scorching heat. SFX: HOT... HOT... HOT... Luffy lies on the deck, tongue out. "I'M DYING... TOO HOT... DYIN'..." "IT'S ALL OVER..." Sanji, Brook, and others complain. "IT SURE IS A SCORCHER... AT THIS RATE, I'LL END UP A MUMMY." "LIKEWISE... HEAT IS THE MINK'S ACHILLES HEEL..." "I'M NO GOOD IN HOT WEATHER... I'M SO CLOSE TO TEARING OFF ALL MY FLUFF..." Sanji mutters in exhaustion, "IAHN ARSHE-- (I'M PARCHED) ANJI AKE OHICE REAHN (SANJI, MAKE SOME ICE CREAM)..." Nami lies collapsed. "NAMI~~ I'M HOT... I'M STARVING~~~~~" "I CAN'T EVEN MUSTER THE STRENGTH TO BERATE YOU..." Brook's skeleton head pops up. "IN THAT CASE... WOULD NOW BE A GOOD TIME TO SHOW ME YOUR PANTIESI" "A MUMMY... LIKE I CARE!" Chopper begs, "PROVIDE ME WITH SOME NOURISHMENT...!"

The crew huddles on the deck in desperation. "WE REALLY WANT TO, NAMI, BUT..." one says. Another warns, "AT THIS RATE WE'LL ALL STARVE TO DEATH BEFORE ARRIVING!" A third adds, "FISH SOMETHING WHILE YOU HAVE THIS WINDOW... BEFORE THE WEATHER CHANGES AGAIN!" and "IT'S FINALLY STARTING TO CLEAR!" while noting, "WE'RE LACKING IN FOOD PROVISIONS AND WE'VE BEEN UNABLE TO FISH THESE PAST FEW DAYS THANKS TO THAT TEMPEST." Below, Usopp snaps at Luffy, "QUIT EYEING ME LIKE I'M POT ROAST!" as the ship steams under a blazing sun. "WHAA AA-I!" Usopp cries while the sea bubbles. "THERE'S NO WAY WE'RE FINDING FISH IN THESE CONDITIONS..." The crew cheers Luffy on as he strains at the line: "LUFFY! FIGHT!" "MUSTER ALL YOUR STRENGTH, LUFFY!" "YOU GOT THIS, LUFFY!" "FOOD..." "YOUR LINE IS PULLING!" "LUFFY!"

A massive fish erupts from the sea in a huge splash, jaws open and water flying everywhere. "OH, NOW THAT IS A BIG HAUL!" someone shouts. Usopp roars with excitement, "ROAR!!" while licking his lips. Nami stares in shock as Luffy bellows, "FOOOD!!" The giant fish lands on deck with a crash. Carrot leans in close, "LUFFY! GIVE ME A SECOND! I'M GONNA GO LOOK UP THIS FISH RIGHT NOW!" She flips through a book and questions, "AWESOME!! BUT... IS IT ME OR DOES ITS COLOR SEEM A BIT OFF! IS IT EVEN EDIBLEI"

Inside the ship, Luffy is already devouring the fish. "LUFFY...!!" someone calls. Nami finds a note and remarks, "GOSH... SANJI'S LIBRARY SURE IS FULL OF DIRTY MAGAZINES. WHERE DID HE PUT THAT 'FISH ENCYCLOPEDIA'I" The crew gathers around the table as Luffy eats voraciously. "WOW, THE SKIN IS SO JUICY!" "HERE, TAKE A BITE, CARROT!" "THE SKIN IS DELICIOUS!" Chopper reads the note in horror: "DO NOT DIGEST THE SKIN! THE SKIN OF THIS FISH IS COATED IN A DEADLY POISON! LOOK, SANJI LEFT A NOTE HERE ABOUT IT!" Luffy gulps it down anyway with loud "MUNCH MUNCH GULP GULP" sounds. Nami cries out in joy, "IT'S SO GOOD! I'M CRYING TEARS OF JOY, NAMI!!" while the others react in panic around the steaming fish.

Luffy suddenly collapses, foaming at the mouth and turning pale. Chopper screams, "LUFFY'S GONNA D-DIE~!" while Nami cries, "S... SO COLD..." Chopper urges, "CHOPPER! WE NEED TO GET SOME FOOD IN THAT STOMACH OF YOURS! EAT UP!" Nami worries, "I KNOW BUT I CAN'T JUST FIND ONE AT THE DROP OF A HAT..." Chopper checks supplies and warns, "WE'RE DANGEROUSLY LOW ON MEDICAL SUPPLIES!" and "WA-DIS IS ADJING (THIS IS AMAZING)." The crew debates the poison as Luffy lies motionless on deck. Someone notes, "THIS POISON SUPPOSEDLY CAUSES 'INSTANT DEATH', IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN..." yet Luffy remains alive, his freakish constitution protecting him as the ship sails on under the sun.

A girl with pigtails stares upward in surprise, exclaiming, "YOU'VE GOT TO BE... NOW IT'S SNOWI" Another voice replies, "NO, THOSE CLOUDS... COTTON CANDYI!..." In the next panel, narration explains, "A FEW DAYS HAVE PASSED, SO 'BLACK LEG' AND HIS CAPTORS HAVE IN ALL LIKELIHOOD ARRIVED AT THE ISLAND." A fierce mink-like creature growls, "WHICH MEANS WE SHOULD BE IN HER TERRITORY SHORTLY..." while tearing at something with "TEAR, RIP" and "HER TERRITORYI" A small creature labeled "TERRITORIAL SEA SLUG" beeps, "BEEP BEEP BEEP..." Nearby, a shocked character yells, "WHAAATI COTTON CANDYI!" as narration clarifies, "THIS IS 'COTTON CANDY SNOW'. TO BE PRECISE..." A voice warns, "IT WOULD BE WISE FOR YOUR CREW TO EITHER HIDE OR DISGUISE THEMSELVES!" Another states, "IT IS MERELY CATCHING 'WARNING WAVES'. IT'S A SIGN THAT WE'VE JUST CROSSED INTO BIG MAMA'S TERRITORY." A fish-like character cheers, "COTTON CANDY!! YUMMY!!" while a den den mushi rings, "RING, RING, RING!" and someone wonders, "THE DEN DEN MUSHI IS RINGING! I WONDER WHO IT COULD BEI"

A hooded figure declares, "I'LL SIMPLY FOLLOW PROTOCOL AND PROCEDURE... EVERYONE STAY QUIET. THEY WOULDN'T HAPPEN TO HAVE THE ANTIDOTE, WOULD THEYI" while another shouts, "IT'S OUR TARTSHIP*, ROAR!" A lookout yells, "THAT WAS FAST. THEY'RE ALREADY HEREI! I JUST SPOTTED SOMETHING... PEKOMS..." A large box announces, "CONFIRMED SIGHTING OF THE SHIP OF THE STRAW HAT CREW!" as a massive vessel emerges from the sea with dramatic impact effects. A voice from the ship states, "GERMA SPEAKING..." Shocked reactions follow with "!!I" and "EHI!!" A close-up shows a man with sunglasses adjusting them as he exclaims, "NO...!!! IT'S THE GERMA 66 SHIP!!" Nearby, a blonde girl reacts with wide eyes, "EH!I THEY'RE FINALLY HERE! AND WHAT EXACTLY IS SANJI'S FAMILY!I" The page ends with a note about the next issue taking a break.
