ROUTE

A sudden loud crash “ガレシッ!!” jolts the scene. Someone on the floor shouts “WHAI” while a hand reaches for a metal canister. Another panel shows the canister being grabbed with a “ガレシッ!!” and a puzzled “HMI”. The view widens to chaos inside a building as Luffy, wearing his straw hat, kicks wildly and yells “LET'S GO!” while someone screams “W-WHAT!I WHAT'S GOING ONI THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, LUFFY!I HEY!”. Massive impact sound effects “ドガゴゴゴゴドドド” fill the air. Below, Luffy continues thrashing as a voice cries “YOU'RE BREAKING MY NOSE!” and another shouts “LET GO OF ME! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA!I” amid more violent “ガレシッゴゴゴガギギド” effects.

Nami appears in close-up, concerned: “CARUE'S NOT HERE...!”. In the street, Vivi runs desperately while shouting “HURRY VIVI!” with motion lines and “タタタタタタ”. A wide shot shows the desert town harbor with a small ship at the dock. Sanji, smoking, reacts with “WHEW.” as someone off-panel yells “HEY!”. Zoro blocks an attack with crossed swords, grunting “NGH!” from a “ガレシッ” impact. Luffy stands on a staircase asking “ARE YOU GUYS STILL SLEEPINGI” while a voice replies “HUHI”. Sanji answers “GOOD, NOW GET ON. WE'RE READY TO LEAVE AT ANY MOMENT NOW. I BROUGHT THE GUYS!” as Luffy complains “WE DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO GO LOOK FOR HIM!”.

On the ship deck, the crew discusses the missing duck. Someone notes “HE GOT ON LIKE WHISKEY PEAK EVEN BEFORE ME.” while another says “SHE SAYS HER DUCK IS MISSING AND WON'T COME EVEN AFTER WHISTLING!”. Nami wonders “WHAT'S WRONGI” and adds “BUT I CAN'T JUST LEAVE HIM HERE...”. A large “クワック” and “YIIIーh” sound effect appears as Carue is mentioned. Suddenly the ship lurches with a huge “ばしッ!!” as someone yells “WE'RE OFF!”. Nami orders “TURN THE BOAT AROUND TO HEAD DOWN THIS RIVER AND WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO REACH THE OCEAN!” while another says “WE HAVE TO LEAVE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE!”. Below deck, Luffy asks about Baroque Works numbers. Nami replies “YOU MEAN WE COULD HAVE A 1000 PEOPLE AFTER US!I AND TOWNS LIKE WHISKEY PEAK AREN'T UNCOMMON EITHER... I CAN'T SAY FOR SURE, THERE'S REPORTEDLY 2000 PEOPLE WORKING FOR BAROQUE WORKS.” Luffy wonders “HEY, SO HOW MANY GUYS ARE GONNA COME AFTER USI”.

Thick black smoke billows across the sky above the sea as a massive explosion echoes. "ゴォオオオオオ..." The Going Merry drifts through a narrow rocky passage filled with debris and swirling dust. More smoke and impact lines fill the air. "オオオオオオ..." A lone figure in a cowboy hat stands with arms crossed, smirking confidently. "THINKING A DECOY WOULD WORK..." he says. Another voice adds, "HOW FOOLISH..."

The Straw Hats argue heatedly on deck. Luffy yells, "I MEAN, THE SUN HASN'T EVEN RISEN YET!" Usopp shouts, "SO LET'S TAKE THINGS NICE AND EASY! WE ARE PIRATES, YOU KNOW!" Nami protests, "THAT'S RIGHT YOU HAVE NO IDEA IF WE'LL EVER COME ACROSS A TOWN AS NICE AS THAT ONE!" Sanji pleads, "CAN'T WE STAY AT LEAST ONE MORE NIGHT!I THEIR PARTY WAS A BLAST AND THEY HAVE SO MANY CUTE GIRLS!" while Usopp adds, "WHAT'S GOING ON!I" and "WHY DID WE HAVE TO SET SAIL SO SOON!I" Luffy insists, "COME ON, LET'S GO BACK!" Below deck, Sanji says, "CONSIDER IT DONE." Nami smiles and tells Zoro, "I THINK YOU OUGHTA GO EXPLAIN TO THEM WHAT HAPPENED..." The ship sails through lifting fog at dawn. "IT'S ALMOST MORNING." "THE FOG IS LIFTING."

A mysterious woman with long black hair smiles and taps her cheek. "AND CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ESCAPE." She warns, "BE CAREFUL NOT TO CRASH YOUR SHIP INTO THE ROCKS NEAR THE SHORE." The crew reacts in shock as she sits casually on the railing. "WHO'S THAT!I" "WHAT A NICE SHIP THIS IS." "WHA!I"

Luffy shouts furiously, "HEY! WHY'RE YOU ON OUR SHIP ANYWAYS!I" Vivi glares and demands, "ARE YOU SAYING... IT WAS YOU WHO DID THAT TO IGARAM...!I" The woman replies calmly, "I MET UP WITH MR. 8 JUST A LITTLE WHILE AGO..." and turns to Vivi with a smile, "I MUST TELL YOU MS. WEDNESDAY," In a large panel she lounges on the railing and asks, "WHAT'RE YOU DOING ALL THE WAY OUT HERE," A sign identifies her: "BAROQUE WORKS VICE PRESIDENT (HIGHEST RANKING OFFICER) MISS ALL-SUNDAY" The crew stares in stunned silence as the name echoes across the page.

On the deck of the ship, the crew questions the mysterious woman. Luffy stares intently as voices speculate: "To find out who the boss was as well! Which is why Igaram and I tailed after her. She's the only one who knows the boss' true identity. She's Mr. 0's partner...! Who is it this time!I Whose partner is she!I" The woman with the dark hair and hat smiles calmly. Nami yells back, "Don't you underestimate me!" Below deck, the crew watches as the woman says, "Now, now... Just what exactly is your objective!I Oh, so she's a bad guy! No need to get so worked up. I only let you follow me because you looked so desperate..."

Miss All Sunday smiles as large Japanese text "ゴオオオオオ" erupts. She states, "A single princess who foolishly thinks she can take on the entire Baroque Works organization and save her kingdom... and it was just too amusing to observe." Nami reacts furiously, "Don't you underestimate me!" Nearby faces show shock and sweat as someone says, "And may we meet again in our homeland. Take care." In the next instant, a swordsman lunges forward with dual blades, the impact creating massive sound effects "ドドドド" and "ヒィチャアアアア" as the crew braces on the deck.

Sanji questions the situation while holding his weapon: "But what I do know for sure, is that this woman's a threat to my lovely Miss Wednesday...!" Nami stares wide-eyed. The swordsman is suddenly flung backward with a loud "FLING" as Miss All Sunday sits calmly on the railing and says, "Not pointing such dangerous weapons at me... Would you please mind." The crew reacts in shock below: Luffy, Nami, Sanji, and Usopp all gasp "OHHH!I" "IT'S A DEVIL FRUIT!" "WHAT!I" as they realize the power at work.

Massive limbs materialize in the air, sending the swordsman and others flying amid "ガララ" and "ドン" effects. Luffy shouts, "AH! WHATI" From the deck, the crew stares upward: "What ability does she have!I Is it a Devil Fruit!I" Miss All Sunday stands gracefully and declares, "I haven't come here on any orders nor do I have any reasons for fighting you people." The swordsman laughs wildly, "FUFUFU... No need to get so riled up. Whoa! She's a real beauty!"

Luffy is flung backward off the upper deck railing as a voice calls out, "MONKEY D. LUFFY. SO YOU'RE THE CAPTAIN OF THE STRAW-HAT PIRATES." The hat sails through the air with a "PAT" and "FLING" while Luffy reacts with shock, "AH!" In close-up, Luffy stares upward in surprise, "!I" as the hat lands. He then erupts in rage, teeth bared and fists clenched, shouting, "I'VE NOW DECIDED TO SEE YOU AS MY ENEMY SO COME AT ME!!! GIMME BACK MY HAT! SO YOU'RE TRYING TO PICK A FIGHT WITH US, ARE YA NOW!I" The woman in the cowboy hat smiles calmly, adjusting the brim, and replies, "HOW UNFORTUNATE... SMALL-TIME PIRATES HAVING TO LOOK AFTER A PRINCESS TARGETED BY THE ENTIRE BAROQUE WORKS ORGANIZATION... AND A LONE PRINCESS HAVING TO ENTRUST HERSELF TO A FEW SMALL-TIME PIRATES..."

The woman continues speaking from the deck, "HOW UNFORTUNATE YOUR ROUTE POINTED OUT BY YOUR LOG POSE IS...! BUT ABOVE ALL, THE NAME OF THE NEXT PLACE ON YOUR JOURNEY IS, 'LITTLE GARDEN.' EVEN IF I WEREN'T TO LAY A SINGLE FINGER ON YOU..." Below on the lower deck, Luffy demands his hat back while Nami and Usopp react in alarm. The woman finishes, "IT'S MORE THAN LIKELY THAT YOU'D STILL NEVER REACH ALABASTA... WITHOUT EVEN MEETING CROCODILE, THE CURTAINS WILL CLOSE ON YOUR MISSION AND LIVES." Luffy yells, "Y-YOU BIG MEANIE! YEAH, HOW DARE YOU! AS IF WE'D JUST ROLL OVER AND DIE! NOW GIMME BACK MY HAT!"

Luffy stands on the upper level with a "!I" as the woman flicks her fingers and declares, "ENOUGH HOWLING, ANYONE COULD PUT UP A BRAVE FRONT. YET TO KNOW OF THE DIFFICULTY THAT LIES AHEAD AND STILL RUSH IN IS AN ACT FIT FOR ONLY FOOLS." She explains further, "MOREOVER, THE ROUTE YOU'LL BE NAVIGATING ON IS UNKNOWN TO BAROQUE WORKS SO YOU WON'T BE FOLLOWED BY ANYONE EITHER. THE NEEDLE OF THAT LOG POSE POINTS TO AN OBSCURE UNINHABITED ISLAND LOCATED RIGHT BEFORE ALABASTA. YOU'LL BE ABLE TO SKIP RIGHT OVER YOUR FUTURE TROUBLES WITH THAT." Nami examines the log pose with a serious expression, thinking, "AN ETERNAL POSE!I WHAT SHOULD I DO... WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO IF SHE DOES TURN OUT TO BE A GOOD PERSON!I" Luffy roars in fury with massive impact effects, "THAT YOU CAN CHOOSE THE PATH OF OUR JOURNEY! DON'T YOU DARE THINK," while Nami watches in stunned silence.

On the deck of the Going Merry, a cloaked figure bids farewell: "LET US MEET AGAIN SOON IF YOU SURVIVE." Luffy stares in shock as someone shouts, "SHE BLEW UP THAT CHIKUWA MISTER SO I HATE HER!" The mysterious woman smiles faintly and replies, "I SEE." She adds, "HOW UNFORTUNATE..." while a voice notes, "WELL, I DON'T DISLIKE BOLD MEN..." Usopp yells, "I DON'T WANNA!" Nami protests, "OH PLEASE." Vivi pleads, "ARE YOU REALLY ALRIGHT WITH ME RIDING ON YOUR SHIP...I I MAY BE JUST PUTTING YOU ALL INTO DANGER..." Usopp panics, "I SAID EXPLAIN WHAT'S GOING ON ALREADY!" Luffy asks from the ship, "WILL MISS WEDNESDAY BE JOINING OUR CREWI" The crew spots the giant turtle and ostrich-like duck: "WHOA! WE HAVE AN OSTRICH ON OUR SHIP!" with a "GURCK" sound. Sanji yells from above, "IT'S MORNING! SANJI! TIME FOR BREAKFAST!" while noting Luffy "LOOKS LIKE HE DOESN'T CARE." A dramatic "ビーン!!" effect hits as Nami punches Luffy, who apologizes, "I... I'M SORRY." Vivi winces from the impact with a "どすっ!" sound. The crew sails toward a misty island covered in giant spherical cacti. Luffy shouts, "LET'S SET SAIL!" A voice calls out flirtatiously, "MISS WEDNESDAY! MIGHT YOU BE ACQUAINTED WITH THAT GORGEOUS LADY JUST NOWI" Another voice adds, "NOW THEN... SINCE THE SUN IS UP, HELLO... ANYBODY LISTENINGI COULD REAAAALLY USE AN EXPLANATION OVER HERE!"

A mysterious woman in a wide hat smiles and says, "THIS SHOULD BE INTERESTING." She continues, "FIRST UP IS 'LITTLE GARDEN.'" The crew arrives at a dense jungle island. A sign reads, "THE NEXT ISLAND, 'LITTLE GARDEN'." A massive tiger with "FROD" markings growls, "GRRRR," baring its fangs amid the foliage. The tiger leaps down with heavy impact, leaving large paw prints in the dirt as it prowls the jungle floor, still marked "FROD."

Usopp wakes with a start, sweat flying as dramatic "ドキドキ" and "ビキビキ" effects surround him. He yells, "WOW............... I'M GLAD I SLEPT THROUGH ALL THAT!" Sanji smirks while smoking, "I SEE... WELL THAT'S A SHAME BUT I GUESS THAT ALSO MEANS THAT I'VE STILL GOT A CHANCE TO SHINE." He adds, "SO DON'T WORRY! NOW THAT THE SLEEPING PRINCE HAS AWOKEN, YOUR SAFETY IS GUARANTEED." On deck, the crew discusses the strange weather. Usopp wonders, "WHY THE HELL WOULD IT SNOWI" Nami questions, "I WONDER IF IT'S GONNA SNOW..." Sanji teases, "YOU JUST DON'T KNOW BECAUSE YOU WERE SLEEPING WHEN IT WAS THE OTHER DAY." Luffy lounges, "NOT REALLY." Nami glares, "ARE YOU JEALOUS, NAMII" Someone notes the bounty talk: "WELL YOU CAN COUNT ON ME TO BACK YOU UP! THE WHOLE WORLD'S TALKING ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT THE 30 MILLION BOUNTY ISN'T ACTUALLY FOR MY HEAD INSTEAD!" Luffy grins widely and asks, "DO YA THINK IT'LL SNOW SOME MOREI" Someone replies, "HEY!"
