Escape Ship

Explosions rock the area as several figures are blasted into the air amid smoke and debris, with cries of "GYAA-AAAH!!!" and "UWA-AAAH!". A massive GONG! rings out as a horned, armored figure and a striped-haired man react in shock amid smoke and debris. "OH, GOSH..." one mutters while another groans "UGH..." A warship looms into view with "THREE WARSHIPS!!!" visible. Panicked voices cry, "THEY GOT HERE BEFORE US!!" Marines swarm the scene, one shouting, "AND GET ON THE WARSHIP!!!" Orders fly: "IDENTIFY YOUR UNIT, QUARTER, AND MARINE CODE, ALONG WITH YOUR ID PHOTO," followed by "VICE ADMIRAL, SIR!!" Confusion erupts among the crowd: "DIDN'T WE TIE THEM UP IN THE COURT-HOUSE!I" "LOOK!! THEY REALLY CAME!!" and "OH GOD, I THOUGHT WE'D BE OBLITERATED ALONG WITH THE ISLAND....!!!" A Marine replies, "OKAY, GET ON." The Vice Admiral commands, "HRMM, AIM AT THEM." The crowd wonders, "HOW DID THEY DO THAT!I" At the cannon, a Marine threatens, "WE'LL ALL FIRE ALL AT ONCE IF YOU MOVE!!!" while another declares, "PIRATES!! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE," as multiple GONG! and impact sounds echo.

On the ship deck, a dark-haired woman yells, "ARE BEHIND US....!!! Kokoro points and declares, "IT'S YOU, RIGHTI THE NAKAMA THAT PIRATE KING BRAT CAME TO RESCUE..." In close-up she adds, "IT WAS YOU. I WONDER WUT CAUSED LERE APPARENT DEATH..." Kokoro laughs loudly with "ばっ" and says, "I DIDN'T IMAGINE..." Flashback panels show young Kokoro telling a man, "AT ALL...!!! GET DRESSED ALREADY, OLD HAG! THAT YOU WOULD CAUSE SOMETHING LIKE THIS... I LAUGHED AT HIS IDEA OF BECOMING THE PIRATE KING, BUT..." Luffy shouts from a small panel, "DON'T GET IN OUR WAY!!! OUR NAKAMA ARE WAITING FOR US!!!" Robin smiles faintly and thinks, "NGAGAGA-GAGAGA. MAYBE IT'LL COME TRUE AFTER ALL..." while Kokoro's belt clinks with "KLINK KLANK" and footsteps sound "TAP. TAP."

Kokoro beams, "I'M GLAD YOU'RE ALIVE. YOU GUYS ARE REALLY TOUGH." The battered men cough violently: "BWAH!!! IS... IS... IS NAMI-SAN ALL RIGHT!I...!!! HAA COUGH!!! BWEHH!!!" Kokoro explains, "I'M A 'SHIRALIO'* MERMAID. IDIOT!! SHE HASN'T SAID SHE'S A MERMAID YET!!! DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM!! THE LEGEND ABOUT DUGONGS BEING MISTAKEN FOR MERMAIDS WAS TRUE, AFTER ALL. MERMAIDS DON'T EXIST!!! GYAAAH, IT'S REALITY!!!" A man screams "NO~~~!!!" as the group reacts in shock. Kokoro continues, "AND THUS WE'RE ABLE TO LIVE A LIFE ON LAND. WE'RE A MYSTICAL TRIBE.... MERMAIDS' TAIL FINS SPLIT INTO TWO WHEN WE REACH THE AGE OF 30. OBJECTION!! MERMAIDS ARE... LIKE... MERMAIDS ARE... YOU KNOW... BUT THEN!! I'VE NEVER HEARD OF MERMAIDS WITH LEGS." She grins and promises, "YOU'LL SEE FOR YOURSELF IF YOU REACH FISHMAN ISLAND ONE DAY."

Robin thanks Kokoro: "KOKORO-SAN, THANK YOU VERY MUCH." Kokoro laughs "NGAGAGAGA, NO WORRIES!" while a ship sails in the background. She asks about the "GOBLIN CAT" legend, prompting Sanji to yell, "WE'RE NOT THE SAME!!! WHY DON'T YOU EXPRESS YOUR GRATITUDE A LITTLE!I" Sanji then charges forward shouting "NNNNNROOOBIN-CHAAAN!!!" and embraces Robin with hearts flying. Robin, surprised, asks "COUGH!! Kokoro tells Robin, "YOU SHOULD'VE FIGURED IT OUT, GRAND-DAUGHTER!!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE A LITTLE DIFFERENT BECAUSE YOU HAVE FINS AND SCALES AND ALL. WHOA, GRANDMA!! YOU'RE A MERMAID!I IT'S ALL OKAY NOW!! THANKS TO YOU...!!!" Robin replies softly, "YES..." Zoro stands on the deck with swords, saying "I'LL TELL YOU WHEN THIS ALL ENDS....UNDERSTANDABLE. I CAN'T MOVE...!... I..." as a small creature reacts with "!I" and motion lines. Someone calls "HEY, LOOK AT THAT..." while another voice says "I MEAN, ZORO-KUN!!" and "ZORO!" Zoro looks toward the distance with "ARRGH" visible on a banner.

The island burns furiously as massive warships exchange fire. "IT TURNED INTO A BLAZING INFERNO!!" someone exclaims. "...!! WHAT'S THIS ATTACK ABOUT...I" another voice wonders. "HARD TO BELIEVE THAT IT'S THE ISLAND WE WERE JUST AT," remarks a crew member aboard one of the ships amid the roaring "ゴゴゴオオオ..." and "ズルゥゥン..." sounds. Below, Marines discuss strategy: "ONCE THEY'VE COMPLETELY DEMOLISHED ENIES LOBBY, THEY'LL PROBABLY COME TO GET NICO ROBIN IN CLOSE COMBAT." "IF THEY DON'T WANT TO KILL HER, THAT MEANS THEY'RE STILL PLANNING TO GET HER BACK, HUHI" "... SO THAT'S WHY THE BRIDGE HASN'T BEEN ATTACKED. NOT TO KILL NICO ROBIN. IT SEEMS THAT THERE WAS AN ORDER." A Marine notes, "HIS OPPONENT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT 'PIGEON GUY,' ROB LUCCI." From the bridge, a voice calls, "COMING FROM THE TOP OF THE BRIDGE'S FIRST PROP. Aboard the ship, a swordsman warns, "IT'S A BAD IDEA TO GET INVOLVED IN THEIR FIGHT AND GET SEPARATED. THAT PIGEON GUY IS NOT AN ORDINARY GUY." "DON'T EVEN TRY. THEY'RE CLOSE. WHY DON'T WE LEND A HANDI" A massive leopard-man attacks with "ヒュルルル" and "バキーン" sounds as the crew fights to keep the escape route open. "EVEN IF THE FLEET OF ENEMY WARSHIPS COMES AT US, WE MUST KEEP OUR ESCAPE ROUTE OPEN," declares a voice. On deck, a skeleton-like figure yells, "THE 'STORM' IS ABOUT TO COME!!!" while another replies, "THAT'S WHAT WE SHOULD DO. AND WAIT FOR LUFFY RIGHT HERE!!" A small reindeer-like figure and others react with shock as "ゴォオオ..." and "ドゴォン..." echo. The goggled man affirms, "...OKAY!!"

Below, the leopard-man and others are caught in the blast, screaming "AAAA-AAA-AAH!!" as rubble and smoke engulf the fighters. The violent impact sends chunks of the structure hurtling in every direction while the crew struggles amid the destruction.

Amid the ruins of a massive circular building, a leopard-like humanoid figure charges forward with powerful strides. Luffy lies battered among the rubble, breathing heavily. The leopard man leaps in for the attack as debris flies everywhere. "HAA..." Luffy gasps, struggling to rise. The leopard man lands heavily, sending shockwaves through the ground. Close-ups show Luffy's determined face and the leopard man's fierce expression as they clash. SFX like "オオオ...", "ズドォン", and "ギュポッ" punctuate the intense blows and movements.

The leopard man stands ready as Luffy pushes himself up from the rubble. "IS IT...!!! THIS" someone exclaims amid the chaos. Luffy glares intensely and declares, "ARE YOU GOING TO DIE BY USING UP YOUR POWER...I" The leopard man responds, "I WILL NOT STOP USING THIS UNTIL I DEFEAT YOU." Luffy then focuses, shouting "SECOND" and "GEAR" as massive energy erupts around him with dramatic sound effects "ビュルルルル!!!" and motion lines filling the panel.
