SLOPES

Usopp stands with his back to the viewer on a narrow path between high cliffs, facing a distant crowd of armed figures. A massive SFX “どーん!” echoes across the scene. In close-up, Jango in his wide hat and sunglasses demands, “WHO OVER-HEARD OUR PLANS. WHAT DO YOU WANTI” Usopp, sweat flying, retorts “YOU’RE THE ONE…” while huffing heavily. Another panel shows Usopp’s panicked face as he yells, “HUHI WHERE THE HELL IS THAT GUY…. WASN’T HE RUNNING AHEAD OF MEI”

Usopp thrusts his hand forward dramatically, shouting “I HAVE A 100 MILLION CREWMEN WAITING TO KILL YOU ALL! I’M WARNING YOU! RETREAT NOW!!” with a huge SFX “どどーん!” behind him. The Black Cat Pirates react in shock: “CAPTAIN! HE’S ONLY LYING!” “SO… SO MANY!” “WHAT!I 100 MILLION CREWMENI!” Jango’s eyes widen behind heart-shaped lenses as he growls, “HOW DARE YOU LIE TO ME… YOU BASTARD.” Usopp’s lie is exposed when the crew realizes, “AH! THEY SAW THROUGH MY LIE!”

Jango clutches his head, exclaiming “IT’S QUITE A LOT… PROBABLY WORTH AROUND 4… NO, 5 MILLION BELI!” while another pirate yells “WE FOUND TREASURE ON THAT WEIRD BOAT OVER THERE!” and “CAPTAIN JANGO! GOOD NEWS!” Usopp stares in disbelief, muttering “…5 MILLION BELI…!” A large panel shows Jango lunging forward with a massive SFX “すっどーん”, declaring “BUT! I CAN GIVE IT TO YOU!! THAT IS MY TREASURE!”

On a wooden walkway, Usopp stands tall in his netted mask and declares, "I WILL GIVE YOU THE TREASURE, BUT YOU MUST RETREAT!!" A loud "ばーん" rings out. The Black Cat Pirates react in shock, shouting "GIVE IT TO US!I GIVE..." Jango, wearing his heart-shaped sunglasses and wide hat, sneers from the side, "IDIOT..." The crew protests, "WE ARE NOT AS LOW AS YOU THINK! TRYING TO BRIBE USI WHAT..." Usopp glares and mutters, "THAT SLY BASTARD!" Jango leans in close with a menacing grin and states, "BUT, WE DON'T HAVE TO RETREAT! OF COURSE WE'RE GOING TO TAKE THE TREASURE!"

Jango raises his pendulum and counts, "ONE... TWO..." Usopp recognizes the tactic, yelling "THAT'S THE THING HE USED BEFORE..." Jango warns, "LOOK AT THIS... AFTER I SAY '1, 2, JANGO', YOU WILL LET US PASS!" The short-haired girl suddenly leaps in and kicks Jango hard, sending him flying with a massive "ガーン!!!" impact. Jango shouts "YOU IDIOT!" as the girl lands. The pirates panic, one yelling "CAPTAIN! THIS ISN'T THE TIME TO LET US PASS!" while another asks "WHO THE HECK IS THAT GIRLI"

The short-haired girl points her staff forward and shouts, "DON'T YOU DARE TAKE ANYTHING! PUT IT ALL BACK! DO YOU HEAR MEI" A large "どーん!" SFX explodes behind her as she adds, "ALL THE TREASURE ON THAT BOAT BELONGS TO ME!" Usopp stares in surprise. The girl questions Jango's earlier words. Usopp clutches his head, realizing "HE'S A HYPNOTIST!" The girl warns, "LIKE I SAID, DON'T LOOK AT HIS PENDULUM!" Jango watches silently from the side with his heart-shaped glasses gleaming.

Usopp explains, "I WAS RUNNING BEHIND HIM, BUT HE DISAPPEARED FROM MY SIGHT SO FAST..." The short-haired girl replies, "I DON'T KNOW! WHERE'S LUFFYI WASN'T HE RUNNING AHEAD OF YOUI" Usopp suggests covering her while she charges ahead. The girl worries, "MAYBE HE GOT LOST!I DAMN... AT A CRITICAL TIME LIKE THIS!" In the background, the hypnotized pirates stand frozen with X marks on the ground. Usopp's legs shake violently as he admits, "DON'T THINK JUST BECAUSE I'M A MAN, THAT I'M STRONGER! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I'M SHAKING IN FEARI HOW CAN I BEAT THEMI I'M WEAK!"

The Black Cat Pirates surge forward in a massive charge. A grinning pirate with a massive axe roars "LWOOOO-OOOOOO...!!!" while another shouts "EVERYBODY CHARGE!!! DESTROY THE VILLAGE!" In the village, Nami spins with spiked weapons, yelling "OH YEAH! I HAVE THESE SPIKES!" and "GREAT STUFF! GIMME SOME! GIMME!" Usopp stands tense beside her as someone warns "THEY'RE COMING!!" The pirates clash violently; Usopp yells "GO TO HELL!!" while Nami declares "THIS WILL SLOW THEM DOWN!" A furious pirate bellows "GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR WAY!"

Zoro stands in a misty forest path, shouting "DAMN NAMI, I'M GOING TO TEACH HER A LESSON!" while panting heavily. He draws his swords, thinking "I CAN DO THIS..." and assumes a fighting stance. SFX: TAP TAP TAP... A close-up shows intense focus. Suddenly Luffy rockets past at high speed with a massive "LWOOOOOH!" as motion lines streak across the page.

Luffy looks around frantically, sweat flying, yelling "NOW... WHICH WAY IS NORTHI!" He crashes through a tree with a huge impact "MADE IT!" and "すっばっ!!" In the forest, Luffy and another figure sprint while shouting "RUN NORTH! RUN NORTH!" Multiple SFX of running feet echo: TAP TAP TAP... Luffy's face fills the panel as he screams again "WHICH WAY IS NORTHI!" A lone figure stands in the woods with "BA--N".

Chaos erupts as pirates tumble down a rocky slope, screaming "WAA-AAH!!" and "AH!" "OUCH!!" Usopp takes aim with his slingshot and shouts "NOW, FOR MY SPECIAL ATTACK TECHNIQUE 'NAMARI-BASHI!!' (BULLET)" Nami watches and cheers "GOOD! IT WORKS!" The lead pirate is struck hard, grunting "UGH!" as impact lines and debris fly everywhere.

The short-haired girl cheers as she slaps the long-nosed boy on the back. "THE BATTLE ISN'T OVER YET!" she declares. The boy, still wearing his helmet and goggles, pumps his fist and answers, "I'M GOING TO GO REST A WHILE!" Nearby voices call out, "GOOD JOB! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!" and "GOOD JOB CAPTAIN!" with a small "ぱん!" sound as the slap lands. In the next panel the spiky-haired pirate snarls "DAMN IT!" while swinging his weapon wildly amid flying debris. The long-nosed boy yells "BAKA! YOU THREW THOSE YOURSELF!" as the girl warns "THERE ARE SPIKES BEHIND US TOO!" The spiky-haired pirate looks shocked, asking "WHAT NOWI" while the helmeted man lies on the ground. In the final panel the spiky-haired pirate lunges forward with a massive swing, shouting "NOW DIE!" as the helmeted man on the ground cries "YOU'RE BLOCKING OUR WAY!"

The spiky-haired pirate is sent flying backward in a powerful kick, the impact marked by a huge "ゴゴゴ" sound and the onomatopoeia "BONK!!". The short-haired girl watches in shock, eyes wide with "!!I". Below, the spiky-haired pirate crashes down, his weapon flying from his hand. In the lower panels the helmeted man lies motionless while the spiky-haired pirate recovers, surrounded by the striped-shirt pirate and the bearded man. The spiky-haired pirate taunts, "HEH! DID YOU REALLY THINK YOU GUYS COULD STOP USI" as the bearded man laughs "HEH HEH!" and another voice shouts "LET'S GO! CAPTAIN KURO IS WAITING FOR US!"

The long-nosed boy lies unconscious on the ground as the spiky-haired pirate stands over him, gripping his weapon. The short-haired girl stares in horror. The spiky-haired pirate growls "YOU... WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!" while the girl whispers "HUHI". In the next sequence the spiky-haired pirate attacks furiously, shouting "LET GO! YOU IDIOT..." as the long-nosed boy clings to his leg, bloodied but determined, vowing "I WILL... NEVER... LET GO...". The girl watches with tears in her eyes. In the large final panel the long-nosed boy roars with all his strength, "AND THE VILLAGE STAY AS PEACEFUL AS ALWAYS!! I WILL NOT LET YOU GO... BECAUSE I WANT THE VILLAGERS TO BELIEVE THAT I'M A LIAR!!"

The spiky-haired pirate swings his weapon down at the long-nosed boy, yelling "I'M GONNA SHUT YOU UP!" while the short-haired girl watches with wide eyes. The long-nosed boy is struck but still clings on. In the wide middle panel the girl leaps into action, kicking the spiky-haired pirate with tremendous force. The impact creates a massive "カン" and "ズン" explosion of motion lines as the pirate is hurled backward. The spiky-haired pirate crashes into debris, groaning "DAMN GIRL!" as the girl lands in a fighting stance, sweat on her face, ready for the next attack.

Kaya winces in pain as an impact strikes her, crying out "OW...!!" while nearby pirates clash violently with loud SFX crashes and one screams "AHHH!". A masked pirate with heart-shaped glasses glares and growls "HMPH..." before declaring "MIGHT AS WELL KILL BOTH OF THEM!" and addressing someone with "YOU...". In a wide village street view, a Black Cat Pirate yells at the others, "DID YOU FORGET CAPTAIN KURO'S PLANI WE CAN'T MESS IT UP!" while another angrily commands "YOU IDIOTS! JUST GO ATTACK THE VILLAGE!" as distant figures stand in the background.

Jango looms in close-up with heart-shaped sunglasses, shouting furiously "DO YOU HEAR ME, YOU IDIOTS!I OR ELSE HE'LL KILL US ALL!". The crew reacts with tension; one pirate grips a weapon while another sweats nervously. The group then charges forward with battle cries and SFX "オオオオ", one yelling "TO THE VILLAGE!" as they rush ahead. A voice calls out "WAIT... YOU... BASTARDS..." amid the chaotic movement.

A fierce kick lands with SFX "ドッカッ" as a pirate snarls "YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!". Another scene shows a swordsman pirate grabbing at a fleeing figure while shouting "WAIT! DON'T ATTACK THE VILLAGE!". The masked pirate pleads desperately "PLEASE DON'T KILL THE VILLAGERS!! I BEG YOU! PLEASE...". In the background, the charging pirates continue their advance with loud SFX "オオオオ" and "チャージ..." as bodies tumble in the street.

A massive explosion of debris and motion lines erupts as pirates are sent flying, with a scream "WAAAAAAAH!". Kaya, looking concerned, asks "WHAT TOOK YOU GUYS SO LONGI". Jango appears shocked with wide eyes and sweat drops, reacting with "!!!". In the ruined street, a pirate wonders aloud "WE DIDN'T KNOW THEY HAD THESE KIND OF PEOPLE IN THE VILLAGE..." while another asks "WHAT'S GOING ONI CAPTAIN JANGO..." as the dust settles.

Luffy and Zoro stand amid dramatic impact lines. Zoro demands, "WHAT TOOK US SO LONGI" Luffy snaps back, "HOW SHOULD I KNOW! RIGHT NOW I JUST WANT TO KICK SOME ASS!" In the next tier, furious close-ups show Luffy yelling, "YOU DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME WHICH WAY NORTH IS!" while Zoro shouts, "USOPP YOU IDIOT!" and "NAMI! HOW DARE YOU KICK ME!" The bottom panel reveals the group sprawled on the ground after a tumble. Jango clutches his head while Sham and Buchi lie nearby; a voice wonders, "WHO ARE THOSE GUYS...I"
