On a certain beach... A lion-like beast growls GRRRR RRRR...!!! while a spotted creature emerges from the water near a wrecked ship. Large sound effects BE BE N...!! fill the air. The chapter title reads CHAPTER 911: A GREAT ADVENTURE IN THE LAND OF THE SAMURAI. Close-ups show a dragon-like beast roaring WOOF!! WOOF!!! and the lion baring fangs with KYAO OOO!!!. Luffy stands in the foreground, hat on, swords at his side, exclaiming AH, NOW I REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED!! as a massive scaled creature bursts from the sea with a huge impact sound. Multiple speech bubbles overlap in chaos: WAIT A MINUTE, SANJI! TAKE US, TOO...!!! NO WAY. YOU GUYS ARE TOO HEAVY!! DON'T ABANDON US...!!! HOLD ON TO ME!! I'LL FLY US OVER TO LAND!! NAMI-SAN!! CARROT-CHAN!!...WE FINISHED CLIMBING THE WATERFALL WITH THE SHIP, AND THEN WE SAW LAND. BUT THEN WE SUDDENLY GOT CAUGHT IN A WHIRLPOOL THAT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. Luffy stares in wide-eyed shock. Below, the crew tumbles through the air and water: ALL RIGHT! I'M GONNA MAKE MY ESCAPE TOO, SUNNY!! WE'RE GOING AHEAD!!! YEAH!! I'LL FOLLOW BEHIND SOON!! YOU CAN JUMP ON MY STOMACH, SANJI. I'LL DEFINITELY FIND YOU LATER!! A massive whirlpool swirls with sound effects as Luffy yells WHAT IS YOUR DEAL...I YOU'RE BEING A NUISANCE TO THE END...!! YOU OCTOPUSSS SSSSS.... HUUHII

Luffy stands alone on a rocky shore, staring at the distant waterfall and smoking wreckage. He wonders aloud, "AM I AT THE TOP OF THE WATERFALLI OR DID I FALL DOWNI DID I ACTUALLY MAKE IT TO WANO...I" and "...SO... THIS IS WHERE I ENDED UP, EHI" A massive explosion erupts nearby with debris and a figure tumbling through the smoke. Luffy shrugs it off: "OH WELL! NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT." In the next panels he frantically searches his clothes, shouting "I LOOOOOOSSST IT!! IN THE SEEEAAAI!I WHERE'S THE VIVRE CARD!I HUH!I IT'S NOT HERE!!" A group of armed samurai and attendants confront a fallen figure, accusing, "YOU'RE AN ATTENDANT OF THE EVIL KOUZUKI CLAN...!! THAT IS AN UNFORGIVABLE CRIME. SHOULD WE SELL YOU IN THE RED-LIGHT DISTRICT... OR SHOULD WE TURN YOU INI EITHER WAY, WE WON'T SHOW YOU ANY MERCY." The fallen one pleads desperately, "NO, WE DIDN'T MISHEAR ANYTHING. YOU GUYS MISHEARD ME!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME!! PLEASE LET ME GO!! AND PLEASE GIVE ME BACK MY RICE!!" A signpost reads "FURTHER INLAND..."

The Beast Pirates argue among themselves while holding a bound figure. One growls, "HIS REPUTATION AS OUR PRIDED GUARD WILL BE TARNISHED AT THIS RATE. HE STILL HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THAT KOMAINU!I" Another points out, "LOOK! THERE'S A SHIP ON THE BEACH!! OUR BABOON IS THERE, TOO!!" A large hand reaches out as someone warns, "SHUT YOUR MOUTH. WE'RE ON A MISSION RIGHT NOW!! I CAN EXPLAIN... BGH..." A note explains a Komainu is a lion-dog statue. Elsewhere, a masked Beast Pirate declares, "I'LL PUT HIM TO SLEEP WITH THIS TRANQUILISER AND BRING HIM BACK WITH US!! HE'LL BE A GOOD ADDITION TO THE WORK FORCE." His comrades react in shock: "I ONLY SEE ONE PERSON. IS THE WHOLE CREW THEREI A SHIP HAS ENTERED THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY!! HEAD-LINER!! AS WE FEARED..." The masked pirate aims a large tranquilizer gun, firing with a loud "FWISH..." and "KACHAK!!" while Luffy watches from a scope view.

The tranquilizer shot strikes the baboon-like guard in the face with a massive impact, sending him flying backward amid debris and motion lines. The guard tumbles through the air as a small girl with pigtails watches in shock, her eyes wide. The Beast Pirate who fired smirks and mutters, "THAT BASTARD..." while aiming again. Luffy, caught in the crossfire, is sent flying by the blast, his body twisting mid-air. The girl gasps "!!I" as the guard crashes down. The shooter growls, "NO-NOTHING...!!" while another voice asks, "...HEY, WHAT HAPPENED!I" The smirking pirate taunts, "WHO THE HELL ARE YOUI" as Luffy lands in the chaos.

The baboon-like guard is slammed violently into the ground by the tranquilizer impact, debris flying everywhere. Luffy stands nearby on the noisy beach, grinning and commenting, "THIS BEACH IS SO NOISY." and "WOW!" The guard roars in pain, "UWAAAA AAAH!!" while thrashing. A samurai figure points and shouts, "KIIII!I" as the Beast Pirates react with panic: "ACTUALLY... IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE!!! KILL HIM!!! BABOON!!! DEAL WITH THE KOMAINU LATER!! CATCH THAT GUY!! DAMMIT...!!" The guard struggles to rise amid smoke and impact effects while Luffy watches the escalating fight unfold on the shore.

Luffy's eyes widen in shock as a massive roar erupts. "WHAT!I" he blurts. A gigantic baboon-like beast bares its fangs and howls "KYAA AOOO OOO!!!" In the next moment, the beast looms over a smaller creature while Luffy stands between them. "WHY ARE YOU CHICKEN-ING OUT TTTTTT!!!I" the smaller creature yells in panic. The big beast growls "Kill..." but then a calm voice says "Good boy." The massive creature sits down obediently. In the following panels a girl with a bat appears, huffing "HUFF HUFF" as the baboon reels back with a stunned "!!" and impact lines "ズシーン!!"

Tama raises both hands and shouts desperately, "I'M SURRENDERING!! I'M SURRENDERING TO YOU!!" Luffy stares in confusion. "WHAT ARE YOU DOINGI" he asks. She continues in an old Tohoku dialect, "WHAT YOU ASK... REALLY...I THEN CAN YOU PLEASE LEND ME SOME OF YOUR TIMEI" Luffy thinks, "This... this is my chance..." Tama pulls a small white dango from her cheek with a "POP!" and offers it smiling, "HERE! EAT THIS, MR. BABOON! Dango!" The giant baboon reacts with shock while Luffy watches wide-eyed. A sign reads "O-TAMA" and a note explains the kibi-dango is a sweet dumpling made of mochi flour.

Tama holds out the dango and yells "HERE!!" The giant baboon lunges with "KYAA AAAH!!!" and "GYA AOO OH!!!" Luffy shouts "WHAT ARE YOU DOINGII" The beast suddenly calms, its paw reaching gently. "HUUUUH!I SHE TAMED THAT MONSTER!!" someone exclaims as the creature gulps the dango with a satisfied "KYAAA OOOH!!!" and "PAW." Tama cheers, "YES!! YOU ARE IN KURI, BIG BROTHER*!" Luffy stands with hands on hips while she adds, "SO YOU'RE AN ABILITY USERI THAT SURE LOOKS LIKE A HANDY POWER! I DID IIIITTTTT!! I FINALLY MANAGED TO CONVINCE THE 'RAGING BABOON OF THE MOUNTAIN' TO BE ON OUR SIDE!!!" She then asks, "...BY THE WAY, CAN YOU TELL ME IF THIS IS THE WANO COUNTRYI"

Tama explains while walking, "AH, SO THAT'S WHY THEY WERE FIGHTING. KOMA-CCHIYO ATTACKED THE BABOON IN ORDER TO PROTECT ME... I WAS FOUND BY THOSE EVIL PEOPLE WHO HAD THIS BABOON WITH THEM......THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED ON MY WAY BACK FROM SHOPPING IN TOWN..." Luffy listens as she continues, "I ALMOST GOT MYSELF INTO A SITUATION WHERE I WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RETURN HOME AGAIN!!...SO I ENDED UP SAYING SOMETHING TABOO!! YOU BETTER REMEMBER THIS!!! WHEN THE KOUZUKI FAMILY COMES BACK... BUT WHEN THAT HAPPENED... ALL OF MY BELONGINGS WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME!! I WAS SO FRUSTRATED..." Luffy replies "...I SEE." Tama smiles brightly, "OH, THAT WOULD BE GREAT! I HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PLACE!! ALL RIGHT. SO YOU'RE HUNGRY!!! I WANT TO REPAY YOU IN SOME WAY, BIG BROTHER!!" with a loud stomach growl "GROOOOWWWWL" from Luffy.

In a misty mountain forest, a massive shaggy lion-like beast called Komainu Koma-Cchiyo carries a small girl on its head while a fierce baboon-like creature named Baboon-Maru walks beside them. The girl, Tama, reassures the beasts: "OOPS. I THOUGHT WE HAD FOOD ON THE SHIP, BUT..." and "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! I'LL MAKE YOU A MEAL!!" A voice from above adds, "YOUR SHIP WILL BE SAFE HERE. NO ENEMIES WILL BE ABLE TO LOCATE IT, BIG BROTHER." Tama asks, "ANYWAY, IS THERE A VILLAGE ON THIS MOUNTAINI" The baboon growls "KIII!" while the lion roars "WOOF!!" Someone notes, "I DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT STUFF LIKE THAT. BIG BROTHER, YOU'RE ONE OF THE KIND AND STRONG ONES. THERE ARE PIRATES THAT I HATE, AND PIRATES THAT I LIKE!!" A sign declares "NEW MEMBER BABOON-MARU" as Tama declares, "NO, NOT ANYMORE!! I WANT TO BE AN ENCHANTING KUNOICHI* SOMEDAY!! MY MASTER AND I ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT STILL LIVE HERE!" *T/N: A KUNOICHI IS A FEMALE NINJA.

Tama runs ahead calling, "YES!! I'M BRINGING IT NOW!!" while Luffy waits inside a small wooden house. She asks, "IS IT READY YET, TAMAA AAAA!I" and a voice replies, "THAT'S A LITTLE RUDE, BIG BROTHER!" Outside, someone complains, "IT'S SO DIRTY AND SMALL... AND IT STINKS!! HAHAHA HAHA." Inside, Luffy sits cross-legged with tongue out as Tama serves steaming rice on a tray, saying, "THANK YOU FOR THE MEAL!! THIS IS FRESH STEAMED RICE!! PLEASE DIG IN, BIG BROTHER!! HERE." A small black creature watches nearby. Luffy devours the rice instantly, exclaiming, "BUT... THAT WAS ALL OF IT...!!! AND WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE SIDE-DISHES, EITHER..." while Tama smiles, "RIGHT! IN ORDER FOR ME TO BE A KUNOICHI, I MUST MAKE SURE TO KEEP MY BODY VERY LIGHT! AREN'T YOU GOING TO EAT, TOOI" Luffy begs, "I'LL HAVE MORE THEN, PLEASE!!" and later cheers, "YUM!!"

Luffy lies sprawled on the floor, muttering, "HUFF... SHE DIDN'T MAKE MUCH, BUT... SHE MADE IT FOR MY SAKE. TAMA IS A GOOD KID!" Tama peeks in asking, "AH... I'M GOING TO GO WASH MY HANDS." Luffy sits up and admits, "I SEE...! I DIDN'T ACTUALLY WANT MORE!! I'M REALLY FULL NOW!! THANK YOU. YOU'RE A BAD LIAR!!!" Suddenly a massive armored samurai-like figure bursts in, swinging a huge club and roaring, "WHO ARE YOU, YOU BAS-TARD!!!" Luffy is slammed aside with impact effects as the intruder demands, "DID YOU EAT THE RICEI! HOW DARE YOU...!!!" Luffy looks up in shock, "HUH...I I DID. WHO ARE..." while the figure growls, "HUHI"

The armored master towers over Luffy, club raised, yelling, "YOU FOOLISH MAN!!!" and "WAIT A SECOND, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!I ALL I DID WAS ASK TAMA TO MAKE ME SOME FOOD!!" Luffy stares in confusion, "HUHI" The master continues, "DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY DAYS IT'S BEEN SINCE THAT CHILD HAS HAD FOOD!I WHY WOULD TAMA MAKE FOOD FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU!I" Flashback panels show Tama's harsh life: "TWICE A YEAR, ON HER BIRTHDAY AND ON NEW YEAR'S DAY, SHE IS ALLOWED TO EAT RICE...!!! SHE EATS MILLET MOST OF THE TIME, BUT... EVEN IF SHE MANAGES TO SELL ALL OF THEM, SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHETHER SHE'LL HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO LAST THE DAY! SHE WEAVES BAMBOO HATS ALL DAY!!" The master shouts, "TODAY, I SENT TAMA INTO TOWN SO THAT SHE COULD BUY RICE FOR HER EIGHTH BIRTHDAY!! SO WHY WERE YOU THE ONE WHO ATE IT!I" Tama cries out, "STOP IT, MASTER!! PLEASE DON'T BRING SHAME TO ME!!! BUT THIS PERSON SAVED MY LIFE!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR COOKING THE RICE WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION!!!" The master growls, "STOP GROWLING, STOMACH!! STOP IT!! IT'S SHAME-FUL FOR A WAR-RIOR!!"

Tama kneels in distress, coughing violently with tears streaming down her face. "PLEASE LET ME REPAY BIG BROTHER LUFFY PROPERLY...!!!" she cries. Nearby, a small winged creature perches on a post as another figure lies collapsed. "PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!!" "I'll weave more bamboo hats, so..." she pleads. The scene shifts to chaos in the water. "THE RIVERS IN THIS COUNTRY ARE CONTAMINATED BECAUSE OF THE WASTE THAT COMES FROM KAIDO'S FACTORIES!!" someone shouts. Luffy surfaces, shocked. "HEY, TAMA!!...WATERI" A voice accuses, "TAMA, YOU FOOL!! DID YOU DRINK THE WATER FROM THE RIVER TO SUPPRESS YOUR HUNGER!I" In close-up, Tama's face twists in pain. "...THIS CHILD HAS BEEN WAITING HERE...!!" "SHE COULD LIVE ELSEWHERE, BUT...!!" The narration states, "FOR A YOUNG GIRL LIKE HER, DRINKING THE CONTAMINATED WATER IS JUST LIKE DRINKING POISON."

Luffy stares in shock, eyes wide. "WHA..." A voice exclaims, "A PIRATE NAMED ACE...!!!" In the background, a small creature sits before a massive, dripping tree-like structure with a face. "FOR THE PERSON WHO PROMISED HER THAT THEY WOULD COME BACK HERE AGAIN." The view widens to a landscape. "...THAT A GROUP OF PEOPLE HAVE DISEMBARKED THERE!!!" "WE DON'T KNOW HOW MANY THERE ARE... BUT WE DO KNOW..." "WHAT SHOULD WE DO, HEADLINER!I" "...WE LOST COMMUNICATIONS WITH OUR SCOUT GROUP AT KURI BEACH..." A tall man with long hair and a stern expression appears. "I'LL GO." "DON'T REPORT THIS... TO KAIDOU-SAN YET." A label reads "BEASTS PIRATES 'HEADLINER' BASIL HAWKINS" with a note: "THE MAGICIAN FROM THE WORST GENERATION MAKES HIS MOVE..."
