The Warehouse Under the Bridge

A massive round fortress on the water is struck by powerful blasts, sending debris flying as huge sound-effect lettering fills the sky. The structure labeled 1 and 2 shakes violently amid explosions and water spray. In the next panel the building is engulfed in smoke and flames while figures are thrown through the air. The bottom panel shows a close-up of a wide-eyed character in a straw hat gasping with sweat flying, a speech bubble reading GULP... as the city burns behind him.

Iceberg stands with one hand behind his head, declaring "THAT'S THE GALLEY-LA HEAD-QUARTERS...". Beside him a small girl in a striped dress cries "GRANDMA! GRANDMA! THAT FIRE'S SO HUGE~~~!!" while a tiny creature shouts "NYA!!!". In the next panel the girl asks "NYA!I" as Iceberg wonders "WHO SET IT ON FIRE!I" and another voice replies "WELL... I'M NOT QUITE SURE...". A third speaker asks "WHO'D DO SUCH A THING...!!". Iceberg then says "HOPEFULLY...... ICEBERG IS OKAY..." and "THAT 'THING'... SHOULD NEVER BE BROUGHT INTO THIS WORLD." while thinking "----- HOWEVER... IT SEEMS AS THOUGH MY INTUITION WAS CORRECT."

From a high vantage point a voice asks "WASN'T FRANKY IN YOUR BAR EARLIERI" Blueno answers "YES, BUT HE RAN OFF LOOKING FOR THE STRAW HAT." while sound effects show rapid movement. In the large lower panel Rob Lucci leaps across rooftops with a pigeon on his shoulder, coat billowing. He says "I SEE. TOO BAD HE DIDN'T JUST SIT TIGHT AND WAIT FOR US." Below him another man in a dark outfit also jumps between buildings as the cityscape stretches out beneath them.

A shadowy figure in a top hat looms close, warning, "LISTEN CAREFULLY, STRAW HAT BRAT---!!" Another panel shows the same figure saying "LOOK." A distant silhouette reacts with "HMI" while narration notes, "THERE REALLY IS SUCH A THING AS THE MOST UNFORTUNATE PEOPLE." The scene shifts to a wide view of a city street where the Franky Family stands shouting. One yells, "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU!I IT'S 'IF YOU DON'T WANT US TO THROW HIM INTO THE SEA!!!'" Another snaps, "IDIOT!!" A third adds, "IF YOU DON'T WANT US TO MAKE SUSHI OUT OF SEA URCHINS..." followed by "YUP! WE HAVE HIM!" and "WE HAVE THE LONG NOSE GUY!!" with "YEAH!!" The large text emphasizes "IT'S 'OUT OF SEA URCHINS'!!!" and "'INTO THE SEA,' IDIOT!!!" In the bottom panel Franky and his crew deliver their message: "IF YOU DON'T WANT HIM THROWN INTO THE SEA, COME TO THE WAREHOUSE UNDER THE BRIDGE. BIG BRO IS GONNA KICK OUR ASSES! I'M TELLING YOU, HE WON'T HEAR US!!" "FINE! YOU DO THE YELLING THEN!" "YOU HAVE A REALLY CRAPPY MEMORY!" The note reads, "SINCERELY, FRANKY! THAT'S THE MESSAGE!"

The Franky Family continues arguing on the street. One member asks "HUHI" while another declares, "HE MUST BE IN BLOODY HELL RIGHT NOW! OF COURSE! THEY DESTROYED OUR FRANKY HOUSE!" Another adds, "THAT LONG NOSE GUY'S PROBABLY IN THE WAREHOUSE WITH BIG BRO BY NOW..." and they shout, "COME OUT! COME OUT! STRAW HAT!!" The scene cuts to a tall man in a top hat and suit standing silently. He asks, "TOOK WHOM TO WHEREI" and reacts sharply, "WHO DID YOU SAY..." with dramatic motion lines. The masked figure in the hat warns, "YOU HAVE 3 SECONDS TO REPLY. IF YOU WANT TO LIVE... YOU'RE NOT WORTHY OF OUR TIME..." The long-haired crew member laughs, "YEAH! HAHA!!" while another demands, "WHO THE HECK ARE YOU!I" and questions the demanding tone.

The Franky Family huddles together. One suggests, "HUHI HEY, LET'S TEACH THIS IDIOT A LESSON." Others react with surprise and confusion. The masked figure in the top hat asks, "IS THAT WHERE FRANKY ISI..." and inquires, "WHERE IS THIS 'WAREHOUSE UNDER THE BRIDGE'I" The page then shows a dramatic wide shot of a massive stone bridge labeled "6" with signs reading "OLD STREET, WATER SEVEN" and "THE BIG BRIDGE IN FRONT OF THE NORTH EASTERN GARBAGE PROCESSING PLANT." A figure plummets from the bridge with a loud "GYAAA AAAAAA AAAAH ~~~!!!" as motion lines and debris fill the air.

The falling figure continues screaming "GYAAA AAAAAA AAAAH ~~~!!!" while crashing toward the warehouse under the bridge, revealed as "FRANKY'S SECRET BASE." Inside the ruined interior, the masked top-hatted figure lands with a massive impact "バキン!!" crying out in pain, "AU, AU, AU, AU, AU, AU... GYAU AUAU AUAU ~~~!!!" while sweat flies and the body contorts. Nearby crew members react with shock. The bottom panels show close-ups of wide-eyed Franky Family members staring in disbelief, one asking, "WHY ARE YOU CRYING!I" while narration states, "THEN HE LEFT HIS FRIENDS FROM EAST BLUE......!!!" and a voice wails, "EEEEN!"

The masked man with goggles and a pipe shouts desperately, "I'M NOT CRYING! NO ONE IS!!" The long-haired man with sunglasses replies, "ALTHOUGH, I AM SLIGHTLY TOUCHED BY YOUR DISPLAY OF IRON WILL IN PROTECTING YOUR SHIP ALONE!!" The masked man yells back, "I'M NOT CRYING, IDIOT!!" while someone else calls out "IDIOT!!" Nearby, a voice wonders, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLEI" A bearded man with sunglasses agrees, "THAT'S RIGHT....!!" The masked man insists, "I'M NOT FRIENDS WITH THOSE GUYS ANYMORE!!!" and adds, "ANYWAYS, NOW YOU KNOW!!" In the large lower panel inside the warehouse, the long-haired man (Big Bro) stands dramatically and roars, "DON'T MAKE A FOOL OF ME!!" Two square-haired figures cheer, "BIG BRO ~~~!!" while the long-haired man sings, "I HAVE TO SING OF THIS CRUEL, TRAGIC FEELING" and "*SEPARATED FROM FRIENDS, NORTH WIND CHOP*..." as musical notes and "SOB..." fill the air. The masked man watches from the side.

A woman offers, "PLEASE, HAVE SOME TEA, BIG BRO." The long-haired man (Big Bro) accepts with "AH... THANKS." while sniffing. Close-up, he sweats and admits, "AH, I'M EXHAUSTED FROM ALL THAT CRYING..." and "EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T CRY." In the next sequence an explosion erupts with "BOOOSH!" as the masked man yells, "BE QUIET! DAMN IT!!!" and "IT'S SO HOT ~~~~!!!!" The long-haired man sips and says, "OK, I UNDERSTAND NOW..." In the wide warehouse view, multiple speech bubbles continue the conversation: "I DON'T BLAME ANYONE.", "IT WAS INEVITABLE...", "AND CAUSING YOU GUYS TO FIGHT...", "FOR TAKING YOUR MONEY...", "I BET YOU HATE US...", and "ABOUT THE TWO MILLION..." A small character adds, "AH... WELL SAID! BY THE WAY..."

The long-haired man points and declares, "YOU SHOWED ME YOUR MANLINESS!" and "THAT'S NO GOOD..." while the masked man protests, "DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER THERE!" and "I SPENT ALL OF IT!!" The masked man then shouts furiously, "BIG BRO!!" and "HOW DARE YOU DO SUCH A THING!! YOU ASS!!!" The long-haired man responds calmly, "CALM DOWN!!" and later, "EVEN THOUGH YOU COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY HOME, FRANKY HOUSE..." and "AND YOU BEAT UP MOST OF MY CREW..." while admitting, "I CAN'T STAY ANGRY..." In the bottom panel the group sits together. The long-haired man says, "IT'S 'IN ANY CASE'." The square-haired figures reply, "IT'S 'IN ANY CASE', BIG BRO." He continues, "IN ANY PHASE, LET'S TALK ABOUT WHAT TO DO NOW.", "LET'S JUST CALL IT EVEN...", and "SO, ABOUT THAT..."

The long-haired man leans forward intensely and shouts, "BECOME MY FOLLOWER!!!" and "I LIKE YOU!" while the masked man refuses, "NO WAY!!" and asks, "WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO NOWI" The long-haired man offers, "IF YOU HAVE NO-WHERE TO GO, I'LL TAKE YOU IN!!" The masked man yells back, "I'M STILL A PIRATE AT HEART!!!" and "I WON'T BECOME ONE OF YOUR SHIP-DISMAN-TLERS!" adding, "EVEN THOUGH I'M SEPARATED FROM MY CREW..." In the final chaotic panel the long-haired man plays his guitar and pleads, "STOP MAKING FUN OF ME!!!!" The masked man cries out, "BIG BRO -----!!" and "PLEASE LISTEN TO ME..." while singing "PIRATE VALOR" as "AAAAH!!!" and impact sounds erupt around them.

A spiky-haired man with sunglasses lies back and explains, "THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE HERE CALL IT." "AQUA LAGUNA". In the next panel a voice answers, "SO, THERE'S A HIGH TIDE COMINGI" "YEAH." The view widens to show the flooded old city streets as the man continues, "BUT YOU AND YOUR SHIP WILL BE FINE IN HERE. IF YOU'RE CAUGHT IN THE STREET OR ON THE BEACH, YOU WOULD BE LONG DEAD. NORMALLY, THE CIVILIAN HOUSINGS WILL BE SUBMERGED FROM THE 2ND FLOOR DOWN. THE SIDEWALKS IN THE OLD STREETS SHOULD BE UNDER WATER BY NOW." Someone replies, "AH... THANKS A LOT." The spiky-haired man snaps, "DON'T MENTION IT, IDIOT! DON'T MENTION IT!" Large sound effect "ゴォォォ" rumbles through the scene. In a separate room below, a man with a square haircut, a woman with goggles, and a person with an afro sit together. The goggled woman asks, "RISING SEA LEVELI" The afro-haired person answers, "YES." The square-haired man adds, "THE REAL PROBLEM IS THE RISING SEA LEVEL. YES, IT'S AN ANNUAL EVACUATION, BUT EVERYONE IS USED TO IT. ISN'T IT TOUGH, HAVING TO DEAL WITH THIS ALL THE TIMEI"

The spiky-haired man continues explaining while the flooded city is shown, "IS BUILT ON TOP OF THE CENTURY OLD BUILDINGS OF THE OLD CITY. YOU'LL SEE IT IF YOU DESCEND UNDER WATER. THE 'OLD STREET' YOU SEE ABOVE THE WATER..." A wide view reveals the massive submerged ruins and a tower as narration states, "BUT NOW, THE SEA HAS COVERED THE CITY... ALL THE STREETS HAVE TURNED INTO WATER ROADS. LONG AGO, THE ZOUSENJIMA AND THE OLD STREET WERE ACTUALLY ONE ISLAND." On the deck of a ship, the spiky-haired man lounges while a woman with an afro and a dark-haired man in a cap listen. The man says, "IN TEN YEARS, THE TOWN WILL BECOME EVEN MORE DIFFICULT TO LIVE IN. IT'S MORE ACCURATE TO SAY THE ISLAND IS SINKING, RATHER THAN SAYING THE SEA LEVEL'S RISING..." The dark-haired man reacts, "HUH... SO THERE'S A WHOLE OTHER FACET TO THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE..."

The spiky-haired man gestures while speaking, "BUT BEFORE THE SEA TRAIN, THERE WAS ALMOST NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE ISLANDS, DUE TO THE ROUGH SAILING THAT WAS REQUIRED. LIKELY, YES... BUT IF IT GETS TOO ROUGH HERE, PEOPLE JUST TAKE THE TRAIN AND LEAVE, RIGHTI" A close-up shows the goggled woman smiling, "NOW, WE DON'T EVEN NEED A LOG AND CAN CROSS THE SEA AT ANY TIME. IT'S AN INCREDIBLE INVENTION!" The spiky-haired man continues, "THE INVENTION THAT QUENCHED ALL SUCH UNEASINESS IS THE SEA TRAIN, PUFFING TOM!! IMAGINE THE RESIDENTS OF THIS LONE ISLAND, AND THINK ABOUT HOW IT WILL ONE DAY BE UNDER THE SEA..." In a dramatic close-up he declares, "WHICH NEVER WOULD'VE HAPPENED IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR THE WORK OF THE GREAT SHIP MECHANIC, TOM! OUR CURRENT WELL-BEING IS ALL DUE TO THE INVENTION OF THE SEA TRAIN..."

Explosions rock the scene as a small figure is blasted away with the sound effect "ダダダダッ!!" and cries of "BIG BRO~~~!!!" "AH~~~!!!" "NOO OOO!!!" A terrified close-up shows a round creature with wide eyes screaming "HELP US!!!" while impact lines and sweat fly. In the next panel the dark-haired man in a top hat stands over the fallen round figure, pointing a weapon and saying, "I'LL SAY HELLO TO YOUR BIG BRO FOR YOU." The round creature lies sprawled with the sound effect "#ア...!!!" as the man adds, "DON'T WORRY..."

In a wrecked warehouse under the bridge, several bodies lie sprawled across the floor amid debris and broken crates. A tall man in a black coat and top hat stands over the scene while another large figure looms nearby. A speech bubble declares, "LOCATION ACQUIRED." Four determined figures then appear in close-up: a horned man with a fierce glare, a blonde woman with glasses, a hooded man with a goatee, and the top-hatted man whose face is half-shadowed. The top-hatted man says, "LET'S MOVE." The final panel erupts into a massive impact effect with large stylized SFX and a dramatic view of distant buildings and birds scattering.

Amid stone architecture and scaffolding, a large character with goggles and a stitched face shouts excitedly, "I'M GOING TO GO ADVENTURING WITH IT, OF COURSE!!" Beside him, a stern one-eyed man replies, "THEN, ONE DAY, I'LL RETURN TO MY HOME IN EAST BLUE!!" Smaller panels show confused reactions with "I" and "SO... BRO..." A wide lower panel reveals two tall silhouetted figures standing before a massive ship in drydock as voices argue: "NO... YOU WOULDN'T MAKE IT!!!", "SO THAT YOU SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR A TRIUMPHANT RETURN!!", "I'VE BEEN IN THE GRAND LINE!!", "THOUGH I HAVEN'T EXACTLY GONE AROUND THE WORLD...", and "IT'S TOO FAR....." with a startled "!I" nearby.

A dismantler with a turtle-like companion explains, "IT'S MY PROFESSIONAL RECOMMENDATION AS A DISMANTLER THAT YOU PUT IT TO REST." and "THERE'S NO HOPE FOR THE SHIP. GALLEY-LA'S EVALUATION IS CORRECT." He adds, "WHEN I BROUGHT THE SHIP HERE, I CHECKED IT OUT." The one-eyed man reacts with shock: "BIG BRO...!I" and "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!I" The goggled man panics, "WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN, JACK ASS!I STOP!!! STAY AWAY!!!" while large SFX explode around him. In the final panel the tall dismantler calmly offers, "LET ME TAKE IT APART FOR YOU," as the page ends with the "ONE PIECE" logo and chapter number.
