PUFFING TOM

The Going Merry sails across open sea under a sunny sky. Narration states: "GOING MERRY STAYED IN LONG RING LONG LAND FOR ANOTHER 4 DAYS BEFORE SETTING SAIL." and "THE CLIMATE IS SUNNY AND SPRING-LIKE." Nami relaxes on a deck chair, remarking "MM... THE WEATHER IS NICE TODAY!" and "SOMETIMES IT IS SLIGHTLY SUMMER-ISH." Sanji approaches with a bowl, saying "MY NEWEST INVENTION. THIS IS THE POTATO PAILLE, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY SOMEI" Nami reacts with surprise and hearts: "NA~~~~MI ♡"

Sanji apologizes to a cactus-like figure: "YES, YES. I'M SORRY FOR WAKING YOU UP, MR. CACTUS." Usopp yells "WHAT'S THAT, DARTBOARD!I" while Sanji retorts "SHUT UP, BASTARD! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!!" Nami enjoys the food, exclaiming "MM... I CAN DIE HAPPY!!!" A sudden whistle SFX "ビョーン" announces "YAHOO!!" as Luffy bursts through a door with "TA-DA ---!!!" and "THE FROZEN ME!!"

Luffy crashes dramatically with impact SFX, prompting Nami's reaction "--- HMPH..." and laughter from others "PUH! HAHAHAHA!!!" Luffy sits up and shouts "EHI NAMI! WHAT ARE YOU EATING!I" while Usopp laughs "HUHAHAHA. DID IT LOOK REAL!I" Nami replies "IT WAS IDENTICAL, LUFFY! YOU ALMOST DIED FROM THAT... HOW CAN YOU JOKE ABOUT IT!I" Sanji complains "IS SLEEPING ALL YOU DO AROUND HEREI" as Luffy demands "HEY, SANJI. I'M HUNGRY, TOO!!" and "POTATOI"

On the deck of the Going Merry, Robin stands recovered while the crew reacts with relief. Chopper, still in his heavy winter coat and hat, beams at her. Robin smiles gently and says, "I feel great now... Thanks, Doctor." Chopper asks, "Robin, how're you feelingI Do you feel coldI" She replies, "Thanks to you..." Sanji leans in eagerly from the side, "Robin, I'll make you something warm. What would you likeI" Nami turns and notes, "You look happy." Robin answers, "Even though you two suffered the same injury, don't feel obligated to get up... Just because this guy is being so lively." Luffy grins widely nearby as Nami snaps, "No, I don't! Idiot!"

Sanji prepares coffee in the galley, the rich aroma rising as he offers, "Of course. May I have a cup of coffeeI" On deck, Usopp and Chopper feast on massive chunks of meat. Usopp declares, "I killed it. It's the meat from the tail of the giant-monster Paille!! Its body was 100m long!!" Luffy gobbles his share, eyes sparkling, "Yum!!" Usopp asks, "What's the PailleI" Chopper wonders, "PailleI" Suddenly something huge moves in the water. Luffy looks over the side, "......HnII What is that..." Usopp shouts, "Usopp!!! That's right!! I am the great captain..." The crew reacts in shock as the mysterious shape approaches.

A gigantic frog swims powerfully through the ocean in freestyle, its massive body churning the waves. Luffy stares in disbelief, "It's swimming in free style!!! It's a frog!! A giant frog...!!! I wonder where he's going in such a hurry!!!" Usopp yells, "Full speed ahead!! 2 o'clock!!" The crew scrambles, "Hurry!!" Sanji calls, "Everyone, let's catch him!!" Luffy protests, "Dude... Luffy, frogs don't swim in free style..." Nami questions from the rail, "You're going to catch him for BBQ to eat it!I No matter what!!!" Usopp explains, "Um... Nami, we found a huge frog with scars all over his body!" The ship changes course as the frog continues swimming straight ahead.

A tall light tower rises from the sea in the distance. Nami stares, "Is that... A light tower...!I" The crew debates the sighting. Someone asks, "What about the frogI Tell me where it is!I" Another insists, "But the guide post isn't pointing to it... No, just a light tower! Did you find an island!I" Nami wonders, "I wonder who lives there... Why is there a light tower in the middle of nowhere..." Luffy shouts, "No way!!!" The ship surges forward at full speed. Sanji yells, "Oh!! Full speed ahead!!!" Robin suggests, "First you wash the frog with white wine, then you coat it with flour and fry it." Usopp adds, "The frog is going in the direction of the tower as well." The giant frog continues swimming straight toward the light tower.

The crew hears a strange noise as the frog-like creature Geroh suddenly stops croaking. Sanji looks concerned and says, "DO YOU HEAR A STRANGE NOISE...I" Someone shouts, "HEY! HOLD UP, EVERYONE!!" as loud "ガンガンガン" impacts echo. Usopp yells, "OH! THE FROG STOPPED!!" while Geroh croaks "GEROH!!" Luffy stares ahead in shock, exclaiming "WHATI" as the group spots something massive ahead. "WOW!! SOMETHING IS UP AHEAD!!" Luffy cries. He urgently orders, "BACK!! BACK!! TURN 180 DEGREE!!!" The Puffing Tom train barrels forward with "チャチャ!!" sounds as the frog continues "GERO GERO" amid the chaos.

The Puffing Tom train races at full speed along the tracks, its massive wheels churning through the water. Huge "ガガガ" impact effects and motion lines fill the scene as the locomotive barrels forward. Silhouetted figures tumble from the side of the speeding train. A panicked voice screams, "WAAAA AHH!!!" as the train plows ahead uncontrollably.

Close-up reaction shots show the crew in panic. A long-nosed man with wide eyes stares in terror. Luffy's face twists in alarm. Nami grits her teeth with a fierce expression. Zoro appears tense. The train car labeled "VERY" shakes violently as smoke and debris fly. The Puffing Tom tilts dangerously, its wheels lifting off the tracks amid the high-speed chaos.

Luffy shouts, "WHAT WAS THAT!!I" as the train hurtles through a dark tunnel. A massive scream erupts: "WAA AAA AH!!!" Luffy yells at the frog, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!I HEY! FROG, GET OUT OF THERE!!" The frog Geroh replies "GEROH!!" and "GEROH!!!" A girl with pigtails stares in shock, saying, "A SHIP!I" and "WHAT'S THAT BIG METALLIC THING!I" She adds, "IT SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SAIL ON THE SEA!!" as the train continues its wild charge with loud "オオオオオ!!" effects.

A steam locomotive labeled WATER 7 barrels across the sea on tracks, smoke billowing. Luffy is sent flying through the air with a loud SFX impact as the train strikes something. "<SFX> BOOM". Close-ups show Luffy tumbling, the train's wheels, and a shocked close-up of Luffy's face as someone yells, "WAAH!! HE GOT HIT!!" The train continues speeding past a signal and platform with a massive "DOO!!!" sound effect echoing.

The train passes under a large archway near a lighthouse as smoke rises. On a wooden platform, Kokoro, Luffy, and others react in shock. "THAT SHIP WAS BLOWING SMOKE..." "IT'S TERRIBLE!! GRANNY!!! PIRATES!!" A pirate flag with skull and crossbones is visible. Chimney runs forward yelling, "ALRIGHT! HOLD ON!! WHAT!I REALLY, CHIMNIE!I" Kokoro appears drunk, saying "YOU'RE TOO DAMN DRUNK!!!" while others discuss reinforcements and someone coming out of the building.

Kokoro sits on a bench drinking from a bottle, laughing "KAKAKAKA!!" Chimney stands beside her with Gonbe the rabbit-cat, declaring "I'M CHIMNIE!! THIS IS GONBE, THE CAT." Kokoro is labeled "SHIFT STATION MASTER KOKORO", Gonbe as "CAT (ACTUALLY A RABBIT) GONBE", and Chimney as "KOKORO'S GRANDDAUGHTER CHIMNIE". Luffy watches and states, "I AM LUFFY. I'M GOING TO BE THE PIRATE KING." Others react with surprise at the steam-powered boat and the strange group.

Chimney excitedly explains the sea train: "IT'S A STEAM-POWERED CAR THAT MOVES ON THE RAILROAD IN THE SEA!!" Nami asks about it while Chimney replies, "THAT'S A SEA TRAIN. ITS NAME IS PUFFING TOM." The group discusses how the train travels between islands. Luffy is shocked by Yokozuna the giant frog, who has been ramming the train. Kokoro notes, "HE HAS BEEN A NUISANCE FOR A LONG TIME!" and Luffy adds, "HE WAS OUR PREY..."

The crew reacts in shock as Luffy's reckless actions are recounted. "EVERY TIME HE TRIES IT, HE FRIGHTENS THE PASSENGERS, TOO!!" "WHAT!I HE CAUSES NOTHING BUT HEADACHE! HE BROKE THE FRONT OF THE TRAIN SO MANY TIMES ALREADY!" "THAT'S SOME VERY COOL FIGHTING SPIRIT!!!" "COMPETE!I OH... SO THAT'S WHY HE DIDN'T RUN AWAY!!" Luffy stands with the group near the station. The old woman in the top hat asks, "IF YOU TAKE THE NEXT TRAIN... SO... WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GOI" Usopp protests, "YOU SHOULDN'T BE EATING FROGS IN THE FIRST PLACE!" while Luffy declares, "I WON'T EAT HIM!!" and "I DON'T EAT HARDWORKING ANIMALS!!" Nami points to the guide post and asks, "OHI WHERE IS YOUR GUIDE POST POINTINGI" The old woman replies, "TO THE WEST." A large panel shows the old woman explaining, "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. WE HAVE A SHIP SO WE CAN'T TAKE A TRAIN. WE HAVE TO FOLLOW THE GUIDE POST." Usopp reacts in surprise, "EEEH!!I CITY OF CUISINE!!I" The old woman continues, "THEN THE 'CITY OF CARNIVORE' SUN FARUTO. ALL OF THEM ARE VERY INTERESTING PLACES. 'CITY OF CUISINE,' POOCHI, 'CITY OF SPRING,' SENTO POPURA. YOU CAN GO TO THE 'CITY OF THE QUEEN,' SENTO POPURA. IF YOU ARE A GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL, YOU CAN TAKE A SPECIAL TRAIN, TOO..."

The old woman with the top hat elaborates, "THAT PLACE IS TRUE TO ITS NICKNAME, THE 'CITY OF WATER.' IT IS A CITY WITH THE WORLD'S BEST SHIP FACTORIES!!" She adds, "OH. THEN YOU ARE GOING TO 'WATER SEVEN.' THE TRAIN YOU SAW ACTUALLY CAME FROM THE BLUE STATION THERE!" Usopp and Luffy react excitedly. Usopp shouts, "THAT PLACE IS WHERE YOU'LL FIND THE WORLD'S BEST CARPENTERS!!!" Luffy cheers, "YEAH!!" The old woman continues, "OOOH! SO THEN THERE ARE GOOD SHIP MECHANICS THERE, RIGHT!!I THE SHIPS THAT THEY MAKE ARE TRUSTED BY EVEN THE WORLD GOVERNMENT!!" Luffy's face fills the panel with determination as he raises his fist and declares, "AND FIND A CARPENTER TO BE OUR FRIEND!!... ALRIGHT! IT'S DECIDED!! WE'RE GOING TO GO THERE..." The One Piece logo appears at the bottom.
