Inside a grand castle hall filled with smoke and debris, allies shout 'DON'T LET THEM GET OUTTA HERE!' and 'CIRCLE ROUND 'EM!' while others yell 'CLOSE OFF THE EXITS!' and 'CHAOS IN THE CASTLE'. Nami stands atop a massive figure, declaring 'WE'RE IN IT NOW!'. The large figure, identified as Jinbe, roars 'WHATI! AREN'T THERE ANY WAYS OUTI!' as voices cry 'JINBE'S REBELLING!' and 'IT'S BOSS JINBE! WAIT A SECOND...'. At this rate, we're going to be surrounded. In a lower panel Jinbe asks Nami 'CAN YOU TAKE CARE OF THE ONES BEHIND US, NAMII'. An explosion erupts with 'KYA—' and impact effects as enemies are struck.

The battle continues with a voice noting 'GREAT. THERE'S MORE IN FRONT, TOO.' while another shouts 'LEAVE US ALONE, DAMN IT!' and 'AH! THERE THEY ARE! OI!'. A woman yells 'YEAH! I'VE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH THESE IDIOTS!'. Carrot looks surprised with 'HMI' as a massive thunder attack labeled 'THUNDER CLOUD ROD!' strikes with 'GYAA-AAAH!' and impact lines. Below, Carrot cries 'SORRY!' and 'CARROT! REALLY!'. Chopper yells 'NAMI! WE CAME TO SAVE YOU!' and 'BROP-PER!' as Nami reacts with shock 'WHAA-AAATI! CHOPPERI!' amid more explosions and debris.

The attacker snaps back, "YOU WERE RIGHT NOT TO TRY YOUR HAND AT THAT, JINBE, FIRST SON OF THE SEA. THAT WHEEL SMELLS ONLY OF DEATH AND I'LL WILL!" Jinbe continues, "MAMA DID PROTECT FISHMAN ISLAND FOR ME! I TRIED TO KEEP EVERYTHING ON THE UP AND UP, BUT..."

Big Mom's children argue fiercely. "MAMA DOESN'T LET THE LEAVING LIVE!" one snarls. "WIWIWI! OF COURSE, YOU IDIOTS!" another laughs. A scarred man explains, "FIVE YEARS AGO, ONE OF MY COMRADES, IN HOPES OF SALVATION, SPUN THAT BLASTED THING. IT STOLE HIS LIFE. THE THING IS DESIGNED TO ENSURE THAT ANYONE THAT SPINS IT, DIES." Another declares, "AND ALL THAT LEAVE DIE! AND ALL THAT COME ARE WELCOME, AND FORMERLY LOYAL PIRATES! LITTLE INVADERS, THAT'S MAMA'S..." In the chaotic hall, Luffy, Brook, and Sanji race forward on a wheeled contraption. "GIMME A BREAK! THIS IS WAY TOO MANY! I CAN'T CARRY YOU ALL!" Luffy yells. "WE'VE ONLY GOT LUFFY, BROOK, AND SANJI LEFT! LET'S HURRY ON!" Brook urges as they speed away with a loud "GUEE-EEEH!"

Prometheus floats in panic inside Whole Cake Chateau Queen's Chambers. "WHAT'S THE MATTER, PROMETHEUSI!" a voice asks as the sun homie cries, "OWW-WIE!" Big Mom lounges on her throne, laughing heartily. "MAMAMA... HOW PATHETIC! OR, RATHER, I SHOULD CONGRATULATE THIS GUY ON A JOB WELL DONE! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU HAVE EVER BEEN INJURED, ISN'T ITI THE WOUND SOUL KING GAVE ME IS DEEPER THAN I EXPECTED! IT JUST OPENED UP!" she boasts. A small cloud homie asks, "MAMA... ARE YOU JUST GOING TO HANG ONTO THAT BAG OF BONESI" Big Mom replies, "FOR THE TIME BEING, INSTEAD OF THROWING HIM IN THE MUSEUM, I'M GONNA HOLD ONTO AND WALK AROUND WITH HIM. THERE ISN'T ANOTHER CREATURE LIKE THIS IN ALL THE WORLD! HE'S SOUL ART." Pudding stares in shock, "BAG OF BONES"I THAT'S NOT VERY NICE, PUDDING..." as the skeleton homie screams, "NO!!"

BY THE WAY..." she says, then warns, "BE CAREFUL, OKAYI YOU'RE THE PRECIOUS BRIDE. IF ONE OF THESE FIGHTS GOES SOUTH AND YOU GET TAKEN OUT, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A REAL PROBLEM." Pudding replies calmly while aiming, "THANKS TO OUR LITTLE FIGHT, I GOT TO TEST OUT THE GUN." Big Mom laughs heartily in the next panel, declaring, "TOMORROW, YOUR SHOT IS GOING TO BE THE SIGNAL. HAAAHAHA! YOU'RE A SHARP GIRL! THIS THING'LL MAKE SWISS CHEESE OUT OF 'EM! THERE'S NO MISTAKING IT, DOESN'T MATTER IF THEY'RE ONE OF THE GERMA'S MODIFIED HUMANS..." In the bottom section, Big Mom continues outlining the trap with intense focus: "AND THAT'S YOUR OPENING! END HIM WITH A SINGLE SHOT! AND THEN! HE'LL SEE FOR THE FIRST TIME YOUR THIRD EYE! HE'LL FALTER FOR A SECOND. SANJI, WITH A STUPID GRIN ON HIS FACE, IS GOING TO LIFT YOUR VEIL TO KISS YOU. EVERYONE'S GOING TO BE FOCUSING ON YOU TWO FOR THE BIG KISS." A small inset shows Sanji reaching toward Pudding from behind.

Big Mom's plan escalates as silhouettes of guns point at the Vinsmokes. "THOSE BARE-HANDED VINSMOKES WILL ALREADY HAVE COUNTLESS GUNS AT THEIR BACKS! AND THOUGH THEY'LL SENSE THE DANGER, IT'LL BE TOO LATE! SEND HIS BRAINS FLYING! THE WHOLE HALL WILL BE AT A LOSS FOR WORDS! FROZEN! RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!" The narration continues with graphic detail: "POOLS OF BLOOD WILL SPREAD ONTO THE FLOOR! THE ALMOST UNRECOGNIZABLE BODIES OF THE 6 VINSMOKES SPRAWLED OUT! AS THE GUNSHOTS BECOME OUR 21-GUN SALUTE! The scene shifts to a luxurious guest room labeled "SIXTH FLOOR GUEST ROOM: SANJI'S ROOM." A guard peeks through the door as snoring sounds fill the air: "SNORE SNORE." The guard reports, "DO NOT LET HIM OUT OF THERE UNTIL MORNING. AND DO NOT LET ANYONE ELSE IN EITHER. KEEP GUARD. ROGER!" Another armored figure stands watch inside. "YES... THE GROOM, SANJI, IS SLEEPING TIGHT IN HIS ROOM. NO MISTAKING IT." In the lower panels, a large man in armor startles awake in the bed: "THEN, I GUESS I'LL GET... DAMN IT! I FELL ASLEEP-NASU! IN LORD SANJI'S BED! AAH! IS LORD SANJI NOT BACK YET-NASUI!" Sanji lies asleep in the adjacent panel as a small creature reacts with "HMI" and motion lines.

In a meeting room labeled "SECOND FLOOR MEETING ROOM," a long-nosed man with a pompadour exclaims, "PUDDING LED 6 PEOPLE TO THIS ISLAND! THEY'RE TRYING TO SAVE SANJI. SO THAT MEANS PEKOMS WAS WITH THEM UNTIL THEY ENTERED OUR TERRITORY!" A large bird-like man with a pompadour and sunglasses replies, "INDEED. IN THE 3RD FLOOR COURTYARD, RIGHT, PEDRO...BLEW HIMSELF UP. SOUL KING IS IN MAMA'S HANDS RIGHT NOW. COUNTI" A wanted poster for Brook is visible. At a long table filled with Charlotte family members, the discussion continues: "THIS MORNING THAT SHE HAD CAPTURED THEM. I RECEIVED WORD FROM SISTER BRULEE. THE RABBIT AND THE RACCOON... AND OF THE FOUR THAT ENTERED THE SEDUCING WOODS, THAT'S TWO DOWN." Various family members react around the table with scribble sounds and intense expressions.

Wanted posters of Luffy, Nami, and Chopper are displayed as voices discuss the captured prisoners. "I DO BELIEVE WE MANAGED TO LOCK THEM UP IN THE PRISONER'S LIBRARY UNDERGROUND. In Sweet City, citizens react with panic as numbers float through the air. "HAA..." A lone figure stands in the Third Floor Infirmary corridor. Inside the chateau kitchen, Sanji finishes cooking. "I ENDED UP MAKING IT THE WAY I NORMALLY DO! DAMN IT!" Pudding stares at the dish. "THIS, TO PUDDINGI" Sanji sits alone on the floor with a basket. "..." A skull-faced homie reacts with shock. "HMI" Pudding walks with the basket. "ALL OF THESE ARE JUST THEIR FAVORITE FOODS... FORGET THEM, FORGET THEM... WHAT THE HELL AM I DOINGI!"

Sanji sits with the basket as narration notes Big Mom's plans. "ALL WILL GO ACCORDING TO BIG MOM'S PLANS. IT'S FOR THE BEST. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO RUB HER THE WRONG WAY... EVERY LAST SOLDIER OF THE EVIL VINSMOKE WILL DIE! AS WILL I. LUFFY AND THE OTHERS CAN MAKE IT OUT OF HERE ON THEIR OWN. IT WAS SHORT, BUT IT WAS A FULFILLING LIFE." Pudding enters and spots him. "AREN'T YOU... SUPPOSED TO BE ASLEEP IN YOUR ROOMI!" The large figure of Charlotte Opera looms over Sanji. "HMI! SANJI VINSMOKE!" A small homie stares at the meat. "OH! FOOD" "THAT MEAT..." Opera lunges. "THEN I'M GOING TO STARVE TO DEATH RIGHT HERE! IF YOU AREN'T COMING BACK, HANDS OFF!"

Sanji lunges forward and drives a powerful kick into the massive masked creature's face. "AIN'T FOR YOU!" he snarls. The impact lands with a heavy "ゴッ!!" as the creature's eyes bulge and its jagged teeth clench. Close-up panels show the creature's shocked, sweating face recoiling from the blow. In the next instant the creature is hurled backward in a massive explosion of debris and smoke, the blast marked by the enormous sound effect "ギコォーン!!" as rubble flies and the floor cracks beneath the force.

Debris rains down as someone shouts, "WHAT WAS THAT NOISE JUST NOWI!" The creature tumbles through the wreckage with "FLIP" and repeated "HAA-" gasps. Sanji, breathing hard, grabs a woven basket and confronts the creature. "WHAT AM I DOINGI!" he demands. The creature retorts, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HEREI!" Off-panel voices react: "SOUNDED LIKE A WALL GETTING KNOCKED DOWN!" "IT CAME FROM OVER THERE!" Sanji tightens his grip on the basket. "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE, DAMN IT!" he yells, while a voice calls "OI!" Narration notes, "WHERE HE HEADS, HE ALREADY KNOWS..." The page ends with the chapter title "ONE PIECE CH.854 END".
