Speech bubbles warn IT HASN'T BEEN TASTED FOR POISON YET! and DON'T, MOMO-NOSUKE! while a note adds THEY'RE ALSO PREPARING THEMSELVES... A close-up shows a beautiful woman with a flower hairpin telling Momonosuke ARE THE MAN WHO WILL SOMEDAY CARRY THE BURDEN OF THIS COUNTRY. BECAUSE YOUR FATHER IS A GRAND PERSON... AND YOU. Nearby, a man with a topknot eats and comments MUNCH MUNCH. In another panel a sweating boy labeled BIG BROI asks in fear TODAY... FATHER...! IS HE TRULY GOING TO... while a woman replies MOTHER... and another voice says HERE YOU GO, MOMO-NOSUKE-SAMA... HIYORI-SAMA.

A massive round cauldron of boiling oil bubbles violently in the center of an execution platform, steam and flames rising. Onlookers crowd the upper decks. A narrator declares OF KOZUKI ODEN AND HIS 9 RETAINERS!! WE WILL NOW PROCEED WITH THE PUBLIC EXECUTION... Spectators shout ALL THE MORE REASON TO HURRY! THEY THROW THEM IN OIL! IT WILL BE OVER IN AN INSTANT! QUICK! IT'S VERY RARE TO SEE SOMEONE GETTING BOILED! BLUBB sound effects rise from the churning oil as the crowd grows excited.

Chaos erupts across the execution grounds as debris flies. Onlookers mutter WHO WAS HE EVENI I THOUGHT HE WAS REALLY STRONG. EVEN THE "IDIOT LORD" COULDN'T DO IT... IN THE END, THEY COULDN'T DEFEAT KAIDO. A fierce close-up shows a determined man with a topknot declaring I MUST LIVE NO MATTER WHAT. Nearby, another figure shouts I WANT A CHANCE TO GET THROUGH THIS! while a large! reaction bubble appears. The scene shows the ruined platform, scattered samurai, and swirling smoke as the execution atmosphere intensifies.

Panic erupts around a massive boiling pot as terrified people are forced toward it. A man with a staff shoves a cloaked figure forward, declaring, "BEGGING FOR YOUR LIFE LIKE THIS, YOU'RE A FUNNY GUY. EH!! GET IN!" The victim is hurled in with a "ZISSH" as another prisoner screams "WHA..." and is slammed underwater amid "ZISSSSHHHHH" and "AAAAA AAAHH!!" splashes. A massive explosion of steam and bubbles erupts as a monstrous figure bursts upward, roaring "GYAAAAA AAAHHH!!" while reaching out desperately, crying "HEEEELP MEEE!! HEEELP!!" Onlookers recoil in horror; one shouts "GET AWAY! DON'T GET CLOSE TO US!" as flames and chaos spread. A cloaked man yells "ZISSSSHHHHH" while another figure is dragged screaming into the inferno amid "HURRKK" and impact sounds.

Lord Oden stands tall before the boiling pot, declaring, "THE TEN OF US WILL ENTER THIS POT. BUT YOU SHALL FREE THE ONES WHO SURVIVE... THE TIME YOU DECIDE!!" A sneering official laughs, "THE POINT OF THIS PUNISHMENT IS THAT YOU DIE INSTANTLY! MUAHAHAHA!" The crowd reacts in shock: "SURVIVEI!" and "LORD ODEN!" Oden roars back, "WORORO RORO RORO!! TRY TO SURVIVE THAT! IT'S EVEN TOO LONG FOR A REGULAR BATH!!" He demands, "YOU HAVE ONE HOUR!" and "BRING ME A CLOCK!" An attendant replies, "YES!"

Oden's retainers react with shock and resolve. One says, "I HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO DO. GET IN ALREADY!" while noting, "EVEN ON THE BRINK OF DEATH, HE STILL JOKES AROUND." Another asks, "HE WILL BE DISGRACEFUL UNTIL THE END." Oden confirms, "OF COURSE!" and states, "YOU WILL HOLD YOUR WORDI" A massive transformed beast-like Oden erupts from the pot with a thunderous "URAAAAAAA AAAHHH!!" and "SHUUAAAA!!" impact, chains breaking as he charges forward. Retainers below shout, "GET ON THIS PLANK, YOU GUYS!" "SEE YOU ALL IN THE NEXT WORLD!" "LET'S GO!" and "WE CAN'T LEAVE OUR MASTER ALONE!" as they prepare to follow.

The retainers desperately try to reach Oden on the plank above the boiling pot. Voices cry, "IT SHOULD BE US, LORD ODEN!!" "PLEASE STOP THIS, LORD ODEN!!!" "WE WILL CARRY YOU!!" and "LORD ODEN!" Oden glares down and commands, "SHUT UP AND STAY STILL. THAT'S AN ORDER!!!" More shouts of "LORD ODEN!!" echo as the group struggles forward amid steam and chaos. Oden's intense expression dominates as he holds position, refusing help while the retainers reach toward him in anguish.

Kozuki Oden sits submerged in the massive boiling pot, steam rising around him as he shouts, "BUT ALL TEN OF THEM ARE IN THE POT! I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS!!" A retainer yells "ODEN!!" while another voice laughs "WORO RO RO RO!!" Someone else demands, "HIS RETAINERS AREN'T SUBMERGED IN OIL!! WHAT'S THE DEAL HEREI!" In a wide view of the Flower Capital execution grounds, the crowd watches in shock as Oden carries nine retainers on a massive wooden platform above the oil, the narration noting, "AND TO DO A FEAT LIKE THAT IN BOILING OIL... JUST TO DO THAT, HE MUST HAVE COLOSSAL STRENGTH. WHAT A WASTE... HE'S CARRYING NINE WELL BUILT SAMURAI LIKE THAT!I" Oden strains in the bubbling oil, gritting his teeth as a woman in the crowd whispers, "LORD ODEN..."

Oden remains in the pot as retainers shout, "WHAT'S THE MATTERI IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN ONE MINUTE YET, YOU KNOW!I" and "LORD ODEN, LET US DOWN!!!" Oden growls "GGNNNNH!!" while a large clock ticks loudly with "TICK TICK" and "TICK TACK" sounds. The wide view shows the execution platform engulfed in flames and smoke as the massive crowd gathers. Two figures watch closely; one asks, "WHAT KIND OF SKIN DOES HE HAVEI" Another murmurs "HMMM" as bubbles rise from the oil with a "BLUBB" sound and impact effects fill the air.

In a massive splash panel, a voice roars, "YOU'RE THE IDIOTS!!!" as the boiling scene continues below. Onlookers react in shock: "URGH! STOP IT!" "WHAT IS STIRRING HER UP LIKE THATI" "THAT ONE..." and "CAPTAIN, THAT'S SHINOBU!"

Orochi looms in the foreground, eyes wild and mouth stretched in a furious grin as he brandishes his sword. "YOU WILL SEE HOW MUCH HE PROTECTED YOU FROM DANGER!!" he roars. "YOU WILL ONLY REALISE ONCE YOU HAVE LOST LORD ODEN! TO WHOM DO YOU THINK YOU OWE THIS PEACE YOU'RE LIVING IN TODAY!I" Flashbacks show shocked citizens and a cloaked figure. Orochi continues, "IT'S EVERYONE IN THIS COUNTRY!! THEY'RE CULPRITS FOR OPPRESSING THE KUROZUMI FAMILY!! YOU HEAR ME!I TO ME, OROCHI DOESN'T WANT TO STAND ON TOP OF OTHERS. OROCHI IS NEITHER A 'SHOGUN' NOR A 'DICTATOR'. I WOULDN'T CARE IF THEY DIED!!" In a massive close-up, Orochi declares, "IN ORDER TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY!!! AND IN ORDER TO EXACT MY REVENGE!!! I RECEIVED THE RANK OF SHOUGUN!!"

Orochi recounts his past with manic intensity. "GOT CHASED DOWN BY VIGILANTES!! THEY WERE BEATEN AND THROWN INTO RIVERS!! THEY WERE KILLED!! I WAS AN IDIOT, TOO SCARED TO SLEEP!! BUT THE ONES WHO REMAINED... MY FAMILY SHOULD HAVE FALLEN BACK THEN!! MY OLD MAN BROKE THE LAW AND WAS MADE TO COMMIT SEPPUKU!! THOSE KUROZUMI!!" He snarls, "IF HE BORE THE NAME OF KUROZUMI, THEN EVEN A KID WAS TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL! THAT'S THE SON OF THE DAIMYO MURDERER...!!! EVEN THOUGH THE ONE WHO COMMITTED THE CRIME WAS DEAD..." A small figure stands before a burning castle as narration states, "DESERVE PUNISHMENT. THAT'S WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO US ALL THIS TIME! THAT'S WHY ALL THE PEOPLE OF WANO..."

A young woman with pigtails stares in shock amid a weapons-filled room. "WERE THE OFFERINGS TO KAIDO!! COUNTLESS WEAPONS... AND HUNDREDS OF KIDNAPPED PEOPLE!!" she exclaims. Flashbacks show Oden clashing with enemies. "LORD ODEN WAS INFURIATED!! BUT... ONCE THEY ARE BROUGHT THERE, THEIR LIVES ARE OVER. FOR SELLING, TO HAVE FUN, OR JUST TO KILL THEM." The woman continues, "THE ENEMY NEVER HAD ANY INTEREST IN THE COUNTRY, THEY JUST WANTED REVENGE. ANYONE COULD SEE THAT VICTORY WAS NOT THE ONLY THING AT STAKE. IF YOU GO TO WAR WITH US, YOU SHALL DIE. DO YOU WANT TO STOP THE KIDNAPPINGSI OROCHI MADE A PROPOSAL."

The young woman cries out, tears streaming, "HE CONTINUED DANCING BECAUSE EACH TIME HE DID, HE SAVED 100 LIVES! EVEN THOUGH HE LOST EVERYTHING...
