Pudding replies firmly, "I'LL MAKE SURE I'LL BE THE ONE TO DECIDE MY OWN MARRIAGE!" while the bear-like figure warns "DON'T WORRY, GIRL! SHE WON'T KILL ME. Brook stands ready with his cane sword drawn. "WELL..." he says as he grips the weapon. In a grand hall filled with bookshelves, he faces several guards. "PEDRO'S DONE A FINE JOB... ALL MY RESPECT GOES TO THE MAN!" "A LOT LESS THAN BEFORE!" "THERE'S DEFINITELY..." The guards react with shock: "I FEEL JUST THE SAME WAY!" "EVEN RARER THAN WHAT YOU USUALLY SEE AROUND THIS COUNTRY." "WHAT A RARE CREATURE!" Brook's skeletal grin and the guards' alarmed expressions fill the ornate room as tension rises.

The skeleton continues his assault as soldiers are hurled through the air. "RIP HIM TO PIECES!" they yell. "HOLD IT, BABYYYY!" he calls out while strumming wildly. "WHAT I GO BY IN THE INDUSTRYI" "DON'T YOU KNOW...I" "HUHI!" "H... H..." the soldiers falter. A close-up shows his intense face: "WHAT IN THE-" Another panel reveals his true power. "THE 'SOUL KING'!" he declares as a massive flaming soul erupts upward. "IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THAT SOULS MERELY CAST INTO THE WRONG BODIES LIKE YOURS HAVE NOT A CHANCE OF STANDING UP..." he continues. "AGAINST THE OBSTINATE NATURE OF MY SCREAMING SOUL!!!" The soldiers collapse in defeat around the towering soul flame. "THEY ALL CALL ME..."

In a grand stone library labeled "PRISONER'S LIBRARY," a large man sits reading as a knock echoes. "KNOCK KNOCK!" "CREAK!" the door opens. "HMI" he looks up. Elsewhere, Luffy bursts through a wall. "WHA- PUDDINGI!" he shouts. Pudding stands in the hallway, surprised. "PUDDING!" Luffy calls again. A fish-man-like guard asks, "IS IT OKAY IF I GO INSIDE TO TALK A BIT TO LUFFY AND HIS FRIENDI" "WELL SURE... I DON'T MIND-FA," the guard replies. From inside, a voice calls, "OIIII, PUDDING!" "BROTHER OPERA..." Pudding answers as chains clink. "LET US OUT! WE'VE BEEN CAUGHT!"

Pudding whispers urgently to Luffy, "KEEP IT DOWN, LUFFY! THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE LISTENING TOO!" Luffy, bruised and bandaged, replies from the window, "OI, PUDDING! WE WENT TO THAT COAST!" In another panel, a woman tends roses while a fish-man guard wonders, "HMMMI WHAT IS SHE WHISPERING ABOUTI" Pudding reassures Luffy, "OH, PUDDING... IT'S OKAY!"
