A Woman Like Ice

Inside Laboratory Three, B-Block, 2nd Floor Examination Room, a circular door shows a silhouette. A young girl with short hair speaks nervously: "A brat... I mean a kid who turned into a dragon!I" She continues, "Well, I snuck a peek into the 'secret room,' so that's why I've been keeping quiet about it. I'm worried about that boy because I came here on the same boat as him." A large mechanical arm extends nearby. In another panel she adds, "...Little miss, where did you see that...I" Elsewhere, a figure replies, "Yes, yes. He's eating properly, no need to worry, because he's doing fine." The girl asks about the secret room. A diagram shows the lab layout. Two figures discuss: "He's just in a different place now..." "This lab is really big, and there are all sorts of treatment rooms." "Ah, I see, but... don't worry about him." "Is he eating nowI Why wasn't he eating beforeI"

Luffy appears furious, shouting "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, BIRD-LADY!!!" and "OI!!!" A sign indicates C-Block, 4th Floor - Caesar's Research Room. In a wide shot, Luffy uses a powerful attack: "KAMAKURA JYUSOSHI!!!" with impact effects "POUND POUND" as a large spherical object is struck and a bird-like figure flies away with "UFUFU". The attacker yells, "SO YOU'RE JUST BUYING TIME!I I'LL BREAK THIS SORT OF THING IN A SNAP!!" while the opponent, a grinning man with wild hair, laughs "HAPPY" and retorts, "HOW'S THISI I STACKED TOGETHER TEN LAYERS OF 'KAMAKURA.' THEY WON'T BE BROKEN THROUGH QUICKLY." Luffy snaps back, "STOP DOING POINTLESS THINGS!!!"

Luffy and a winged woman exchange words: "BUT WINS AND LOSSES ARE NOT DETERMINED PURELY BY FIGHTING STRENGTH, RIGHTI" "TRUE. I DON'T THINK I COULD WIN AGAINST YOU, EITHER." Luffy yells, "I FEEL LIKE THERE'S NO WAY I COULD LOSE TO YOU!!!" The woman transforms into a massive winged snow-like form with "UUWAH! CHILLY!!" and "UU" effects, embracing Luffy. She declares, "I WON'T GET OFF YOU. FEEL MY EMBRACE... AND, WELL... YOUR POWER IS ALREADY SLIPPING AWAY FROM YOU." Luffy reacts in shock: "......!!I" "YOUR PHYSICAL ENERGY WILL BE STOLEN AWAY IN AN INSTANT BY THIS COLD BODY OF MINE." He shouts, "YOU'RE LIKE ICE!!...YOU... GET OFF...!!!"

Luffy's eyes bulge in shock as a long-haired woman with a calm expression floats beside him amid swirling snow. "!!!I" he blurts. She smiles faintly and says, "It feels good, doesn't itI Now just close your eyes." Luffy panics, stretching his arm back while yelling "GOMU GOMU NO!!!" The woman continues, "Look... we're already surrounded by deep snow... And peacefully drift off... I expect that you're getting unbearably sleepy..." Luffy's massive Jet Spear fist erupts forward in a roaring strike, smashing through rock and snow with enormous force as the woman watches from the side.

The woman remarks, "...What astonishing latent power you have..." as Luffy is hurled backward, shouting "NISHI SHISHI SHI!!!" and "UWAH HHHH HH!!" She adds, "...But now you'll fall down the ducts." Luffy plummets through a dark vertical shaft lined with metal walls, the woman narrating from above: "There's no way out unless you can fly. You really dug your own grave. Goodbye." Luffy vanishes into the garbage chute far below amid clouds of dust and debris.

A diagram shows B-Block, 3rd floor in front of the Biscuit Room. A massive horned, furry beast roars "BUOO OOOHH HHH!!!" while children and fighters scramble around it. The beast bellows, "YOU CAN'T COME THROUGH HERE!! I WON'T LET YOU INTO THE BISCUIT ROOM!!!" A voice calls out, "Everyone, it must be painful, but please hang in there!! You should never eat that candy again!!" Another shouts, "Don't you want to go home!I" A small figure in a spotted hat cries, "WAH!! I'M SORRY!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO...!!" while others yell "THAT HURTS, YOU!!" and "THAT HURTS!!"

Luffy bursts into the fray with a massive spinning attack, shouting "UWAH HHHH HH!!!" A fighter swings a large weapon, yelling "MOVE ASIDE!!" and "OUTTA THE WAY!!! MONSTER!!!" Luffy's face twists in fury as he barrels forward. In the lower section a character thinks, "THIS IS BAD...!! IF I DON'T REALLY FIGHT THEM, THEN I CAN'T STOP THEM...!!!" while the snow woman speaks from off-panel: "This has nothing to do with you!! They're ours!! Give us our candies!!!" Luffy crashes through the chaos amid impact lines and debris.

The effect of the Rumble Ball begins to fade as a clawed hand trembles. "DAMN...!! THE EFFECT OF THE RUMBLE BALL IS WEARING OFF!!" Chopper gasps in panic. Nearby, children spot the escaping group and shout, "AH!! CRAP!! THEY WENT THAT WAY!!" "NOW! LET'S GO! INTO THE BISCUIT ROOM!!" A massive POOF!! erupts as the transformation ends, leaving Chopper sprawled on the floor. "...NO... MY BODY WON'T MOVE.....!!" he cries while the children swarm forward. "PLEASE, EVERYONE, WAI-" One child yells over him, "WE CAN EAT THEN CANDY!! CAAAANDY!! CAAAANDY!!" Another cheers, "LET'S GO TO THE BISCUIT ROOM!!" as they drag the weakened reindeer along with an "OOF!!" amid clouds of dust and motion lines.

The group bursts into a larger chamber where Momonosuke and Chopper are spotted. "MOMONOSUKE!!" "CHOPPER!!!" voices cry out. "TELL US WHAT'S GOING ON, CHOPPER!!!" "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!I" Nami demands while Robin stands nearby. Chopper shouts back, "AH!!! YOU GUYS!!!" A massive impact SFX shakes the scene. In the next panels the children race ahead. "THAT'S WHERE THE 'CANDY' IS!!" one points. "AHEAD AND TO THE LEFT IS THE BISCUIT ROOM" another calls. ".....!! ANYWAY, YOU'VE GOT TO STOP THESE CHILDREN QUICKLY" Chopper urges. A terrified Chopper sweats, "I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE...!!! CAESAR, HE... HE WANTS TO MAKE THESE KIDS INTO GIANT SOLDIERS. I CAN'T HANDLE IT ON MY OWN" as the children press forward with "EHHH!I"

The children pour back into the biscuit room. "WE'RE BACK IN THE BISCUIT ROOM!!" "WE MADE IT!!" they cheer while giant "あぁぁぁ" wails echo. Robin calmly announces, "Mille Fleur." Giant hands erupt from the floor. "EHHH!I HANDS!!I" the children scream as the limbs grab at them. "Gigantesco Mano!!" Robin declares, enlarging the hands further. In close-up panels the children panic: "THIS IS BAD!!" "THEY'LL DO ANYTHING TO GET TO IT!!!" "SHE'S GUARDING THE CANDIES IN THAT ROOM RIGHT NOW!!" "MOCHYA IS IN TROUBLE...!!!" Nami explains, "NAMI! THERE WAS ONE GIRL, 'MOCHYA'... SHE HAD HER WITS ABOUT HER AND WAS HELPING ME OUT. THE TWO OF US WERE RESTRAINING THE OTHERS, BUT..."

Robin recoils, "UHH!!" as the children swarm her giant hands. "WHAT ARE THESE THINGS!!" "WHAT VIOLENT CHILDREN! THEY WON'T BE EASILY STOPPED...!!!" she exclaims while the kids cling and bite. "YOU'RE IN THE WAY, HANDS!!!" one child yells amid impact SFX. Below, the children beg, "GIVE IT!!! GIVE US CANDY!! HAA... HAA..." "THAT'S THE CANDY, RIGHT!!I" They swarm a small girl clutching a striped barrel. "MOCHYA!!" Nami cries. Mochya shouts desperately, "....! NO, LISTEN EVERYBODY. I CAN'T GIVE YOU THIS CANDY!! THIS IS BAD CANDY!!!" An unseen voice warns, "IT'S NO GOOD, MOCHYA, RUN AWAY!!!" Nami pleads, "WE CAN'T GO HOME IF WE DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY!!!" while urging, "GET AHOLD OF YOURSELVES!! WE'RE THE ONES WHO ASKED CHOPPER AND HIS FRIENDS TO SAVE US, RIGHT!I"

A boy with messy black hair stares in shock, eyes wide and mouth open. "!I" Nearby, another figure yells, "HEY!! WAIT!! THAT'S SNEAKY YOU WANT IT ALL FOR YOURSELF!I" while others gasp, "UHHH... HAA... HAA..." The boy spots a winged figure and cries out, "AH... IT'S MONET-SAN!! PLEASE HELP ME!!" Monet, the harpy-like woman with large wings, flies through a massive arched doorway marked "FLAP FLAP," but the exit is blocked. "THE EXIT IS BLOCKED!!!" Below, G-5 Marines react in panic: "AH!!! IT'S HER!!! TAKE A LOOK! IT'S JUST LIKE I SAID- A 'BIRD-WOMAN'!!!" One marine mutters, "...WHAT THE HELL'S THAT...I" A blonde woman adds, "MOCHYA... THAT'S NOT VERY NICE... MONOPOLIZING IT LIKE THAT LET'S SHARE WITH EVERYONE."

Trafalgar Law stands with his sword, breathing heavily. "!!! ROOM" A map inset labels the area "D-BLOCK: S.A.D. PRODUCTION ROOM." Below, a massive spherical barrier expands across the facility floor, trapping tiny figures inside the grid. The sphere crackles with energy as Law maintains the technique from above. Distant voices echo, "HAA... HAA..."

Law activates his ability with a gesture. "SHAMBLES COME BACK, HEART" A bright flash erupts as the heart returns to him. Massive Japanese SFX "ドガシャン" and "ガシャン" accompany a violent explosion that shatters the spherical room's structure, sending debris flying. In the aftermath, a man in a checkered outfit coughs violently, "COUGH!!" while small fragments scatter around him.

The checkered-outfit man reels from an impact, "UWAHHHH!!!" Law appears behind him in a black suit, striking with "COUNTER SHOCK!!" Electricity surges through the attack as the man is slammed into railings and structures. Multiple impact SFX "ドゴォ" and "ドン" mark the blows. The man struggles, coughing and gasping, "HAA... HAA..." as the fight intensifies inside the damaged facility.

A massive explosion erupts across the upper level of the facility as a lone figure stands amid the shattering debris and shockwaves. Below, a cloaked silhouette watches from the walkway while another figure remains crouched. A voice declares, "...I'VE GOT A MESSAGE FROM JOKER..." The next instant, Vergo is blasted backward off the railing, body twisting violently from the impact as SFX "バチ" and "バチ" mark the strikes. Vergo snarls in close-up, "IT DIDN'T WORK....!!!" while another voice recounts, "HE SAID, 'WHAT A PITY'....!!!" The force sends Vergo reeling, his expression twisted in pain and surprise.

Vergo's face fills the panel, bloodied and furious, as he growls, "VERGO" and continues, "I HAD IT ALL FIGURED OUT-HOW I WOULD GET MY HEART BACK FROM CAESAR......YOUR APPEARANCE WAS THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T ACCOUNT FOR." A brutal counterattack launches him flying with a massive "ドーン!!!" impact, his limbs flailing as he screams "UWAH HHHHHHHH HH!!!!!" Nearby, a close-up shows his gritted teeth while a voice corrects, "THAT'S 'SAN.'" Vergo clutches a small transponder snail and mutters, "I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING... BUT I SUPPOSE IT'S NOW OR NEVER..." as the line crackles with static and another figure reacts with shock.

Smoke billows as Vice Admiral Smoker strides into view, coat billowing. Vergo, still on the ground, gasps "VICE ADMIRAL SMOKER...!!!!" Smoker looms over him with a cold glare. Vergo spits back, "TRASH THAT COMES INTO MY VIEW MANAGES TO GET AWAY... SOONER THE BETTER, I SAY... I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT WHEN..." Smoker retorts, "PIRATE VERGO!!! AT ANY RATE, I WAS ALSO PLANNING TO SHUT YOUR MOUTH FOR GOOD AS WELL" as the two face off amid the ruined corridor, tension crackling between them.
